There are four other characters besides Oli that you can unlock. Toasty Boy is completely free and becomes unlocked when you complete 10 rounds. Boris costs 2,500 nectar. A mystery fairy is available when you spend 5,000 nectar, and a secret character can be unlocked for 10,000 nectar after you have unlocked the other characters.

Make sure you collect the power ups whenever you pass them. There are four different types that you can collect and each can be upgraded in the store to make them last longer.

At the in-app purchase store there will be a 'Free Nectar' option that will enable you to load up on nectar, all you need to do is complete the free offers. This is a good way to collect the necessary amount to purchase a power up.

Although nectar is important a good strategy is to ignore it and focus on just getting past the obstacles. This is because more often than not folloing nectar trails will just lead you to your demise whereas if you maage to progress a good distance you will end up picking up plenty of nectar anyway.
