Your heroes can be promoted when they have reached their rank cap. Promotion will cost you Honor and it will improve their stats and allow them to level higher.

Once you have promoted your heroes spend bread which you have obtained from the Bakery or from quests to train them. Although expensive spend the maximum number of bread to train your heroes once per ranking so you increase their skills significantly.

When a hero has reached max level and you have promoted them they will increase in rarity. If you go down to level one again their base stats and shape will significantly increase and they will be able to level quickly and gain stats rapidly from there due to the new-found levels.

During battles look to execute special attacks so you make chains of two or three similar attack types.

Make sure that as soon as you obtain your weapons you convert (improve) them so you increase the effectiveness of your heroes.
