--------------------------------------------
[c01] - Vaniville Town
--------------------------------------------
The game starts with the introduction of the professor, Professor Augustine
Cycamore. Before everything else, he would first ask you for your gender.
Choose the gender you would want to play as.

After selecting your gender, choose your appearance and then enter your
name. Once finished, confirm with "Yes" to proceed with the game.

Your adventure starts with a Fletchling flying up to your room to wake you
up. Once you are in control of your character, you have the option of
exploring your room and changing the settings for your game. Press X and
select Options

*Options Menu*

In the Options menu, you can change the settings for the following:
*Text Speed - speed of how quickly messages appear.

*Battle Effects - you may choose to turn Battle Animations off or on. If
battle animations are off, you will only hear the sound effect of damage
and not the animation of the move itself. Turning the Battle Effects off
can help speed up your gameplay when you are level grinding.

*Battle Style - There are two options for Battle Style: Switch and Set.
Whenever an opposing Pokemon faints, by default, you will be asked if you
want to switch out your Pokemon. This battle option is the Switch option.
If you choose Set, you will not be asked if you want to switch Pokemons.
The battle will proceed with whatever Pokemon you have already in battle.

*Battle BG - this option lets you select different wallpaper to be used on
the lower screen during battles.

*Button Mode -You can use this option to set the functions of the L button.
You may disable both L and R buttons, set L button with the same function
as A or leave it at Default. Leaving the settings at Default lets you use L
and R to switch your lower screen between Syper Training, PSS and
Pokemon-Amie

*Forced Save - Here, you may choose wheter or not you must save before PSS
battles and other communication features.

Select X or Quit if you want to go back or Confirm to save changes in the
options.

=Vaniville Town=

Once you are ready, you may head downstairs to proceed with a cutscene.
Upon reaching the first floor, your mother would tell you to change out of
your Pajamas. Simply head back up to your room and proceed to the front of
the mirror in the middle of the room and press "A".

After changing, you may head back down and leave your house to the south.
When you exit your home, you will be greeted by your neighbors Shauna and
your rival (Calem if you chose to play as a girl and Serena if you chose to
play as a boy). You will then be told to meet up with other trainers in the
next town. The town's exit can be seen from the entrance of your house, it
is the exit oh the other side of the wall to your left.

=Route 1: Vaniville Pathway=

This path is pretty straightforward; there are no tall grass and no people.
Just head straight to the next town to proceed.

--------------------------------------------
[c02] - Route 2 - Aquacorde Town
--------------------------------------------
=In this town:=
-Specialty Shop: Pokeballs
-Specialty Shop: Potions
-Rest House
-Photo Spot

Upon entering Aquacorde town, head to the left to and you will be called
out by your fellow trainers. You will be introduced to the other two
trainers chosen by the professor, Trevor and Tierno trainers tasked to go
on a journey to complete the Pokedex. Everyone will then start giving you
nicknames, and you can choose what you would want them to call you. You
will be given 4 options with "Pick your own" as the last option. After
selecting your nickname, choose "Yes" to confirm.

After choosing your nickname, you will be asked to choose your starter. You
may choose between Chespin the Grass-type, Fennekin the Fire-type and
Froakie the Water-type. You may choose a nickname for it if you wish.

Shauna will then choose the Pokémon whose type is weak against the
Pokémon you chose while your Rival will choose the Pokémon that is strong
against the type of the one you chose. After they select their Pokémon,
You will then receive a Pokédex from Trevor and Prof's Letter from Tierno.
Before you go on your adventure, you need to present the letter to your
mom. Head back to Vaniville Town by exiting south.

As you try to exit south, you will be challenged by Shauna to a battle.

-==Pokémon Trainer Shauna (Pize Money: P500)==-
Pokémon:
Either Chespin (Grass), Fennekin (Fire) or Froakie(Water) at LV5

She will have:
Chespin if you chose Fennekin
Fennekin if you chose Froakie
Froakie if you chose Chespin

Your first Pokémon battle will be with Shauna and it should be easy as she
chose the Pokémon that is weak against the Pokémon that you chose. Simply
attack with the elemental move that your Pokémon has and you should be
able to defeat her quickly.

After defeating Shauna, you may now head back to Vaniville Town. If you
want, you may explore the town. There are three notable establishments;
Specialty Shop for Potions, Specialty Shop for Pokéballs and a Rest House.
To head there, go north from the town’s entrance until you see the
fountain. Talk to the guy in front of the fountain to obtain a Potion

Lower right of the fountain is a store where you can buy Potions. The
establishment on the upper right of the fountain is where you can have your
Pokémon healed. The one to the left of the fountain is where you can buy
Pokéballs.

There is also a Photo Spot on the upper right corner of town though you
will not be able to use it early on in this part of the game.

=Vaniville Town=
After you are done exploring, go back to Vaniville Town and head for your
house to give the letter to your mom. Your mom would then prepare your
items for you and give you a Town Map. You will be able to view the Kalos
region and your current location using the Town Map. Exit the house for a
short cutscene.

Your family's Rhydon will see you off. After viewing the cuntscene, head
back to Aquacorde Town. From Aquacorde Town, head for the north exit.

Once you are finished with your battle, head north to enter Santalune City.

--------------------------------------------
[c06] - Santalune City
--------------------------------------------
=In this city:=
-Pokémon Center
-Boutique
-Pokémon School
-Santalune City Gym

=Pokémon Center=
Upon entering the city, You will see the first Pokémon Center in the game.
Here, you can have your Pokémon healed, check the PC for Pokémon storage,
change outfits and shop at the Poké Mart.

To have your Pokémon healed, just talk to the nurse on the counter. In
order to access the boxes where your Pokémon are stored, simply use the PC
to the immediate right of the nurse.

To the left of the nurse would be the Dressing Room. The dressing room is
where you can customize your outfit. Outfits and accessories can be
purchased in the Fashion/Style shops.

The Poké Mart is at the right of the nurse. You can purchase Potions and
other essentials from here.

Once you are done with the Pokémon Center, head to its immediate right and
enter the Style Shop.
Boutique

The Santalune City Boutique is where you can buy hats and accessories for
your character. You can try on items for free before buying them. Simply
talk to the NPC with the red hat.

Select the items you want to wear and choose “Change” to preview it.
You will then be asked if you want to buy the item. If not, you’ll just
change back to your regular clothes.

Note: There is a Style shop in the following city that will not let you in
unless you have already bought a hat from this store. If you have not yet
bought anything, you will be asked to go back to this city to be “More
stylish”

Once you are done accessorizing, you may explore the town for a bit.

=Useful Information=

From the Fashion/Style Shop or the Pokémon Center, head to the left most
corner of the town and enter the house to the left. Talk to the girl at the
back and she will tell you about Gym Badgesand up to what level of Pokémon
will obey you if you have those badges.

Go out and head for the house on the right. Talk to the person beside the
television and she will tell you about your Friendship with your Pokémon.
She will see how connected you are with the Pokémon at the head of your
party. It is good to know the friendship level of your Pokémon as the move
Return is based on your friendship.

Exit the house then head left and up to the fountain area. If you want, you
can sit down on the bench for a scenic view.

From the fountain, head to the very left and enter the house. Talk to the
hiker and he will offer to trade a Bunnelby for his Farfetch’d. It is up
to you if you want to trade. Bunnelby can be found in Route 3 while wild
Farfetch’d can be found on Route 22, just to the right of this city. His
Farfetch’d would be nicknamed Quacklin and will be the same level as the
Bunnelby you will trade with him. Note that you cannot change the names of
traded Pokémon.

Go back to the fountain and directly behind it is the Pokémon school.

Enter it and check the white board at the very back. You can learn about
the basics of status conditions here.

=Free Items=
Before exiting the Pokémon School, speak with the man with white hair and
he will give you X Attacks (x3) and X Defends(x3).

Go outside and head to the house to the right most of the fountain. Talk to
the boy inside to obtain Great Balls(x3).

For the last obtainable item in this town, head to the front of the
Pokémon Gym. The gym is on the upper right corner of town, to the right of
the Pokémon School. There should be an NPC at the entrance. She will
challenge you to a battle. Accept the challenge.

-=Roller Skater Rinka(Prize Money: P224)=-
LV 7 Zigzagoon(Normal)

When finished, you will obtain Roller Skates. You can use it by simply
using the Circle Pad of the 3DS system. The speed can be controlled by how
far you tilt the Circle Pad. After you defeated Rinka, she will move to the
side and the Santalune City Pokémon Gym is now accessible.

--------------------------------------------
[c07] - Santalune City Gym
--------------------------------------------
This city's gym specializes on Bug-type Pokémon. Having a party with a
Fire-type and Flying-type are recommended. Having a Pikachu on hand will
also be helpful as some of the Pokémon in the gym are also part
Flying-type.

Upon entering the Gym, jump on the pole by simply heading near it and
you'll land on what looks like a web. From the center, head to the lower
right to battle the first trainer.

-=Youngster David(Prize Money: P240)=-
LV 10 Ledyba(Bug/Flying)

From David, head to the lower right, lower left, left, up, up, left, left,
left, left until you meet the next trainer.

-=Youngster Zachary(Prize Money: P240)=-
LV 10 Spewpa(Bug)

From Zachary, head up, up, left, up, right to reach the next trainer.

-=Lass Charlotte(Prize Money: P240)=-
LV 7 Kakuna(Bug/Poison)
LV 9 Combee(Bug/Flying)

Head up to battle the gym leader.

-==Gym Leader Viola (Prize Money: P1920)==-
LV10 Surskit (Bug/Water)
LV 12 Vivillon (Bug/Flying)

Before challenging Viola, do not place a Fire-type as your first Pokémon
as Viola's first Pokémon, Surskit is a Water/Bug type. You may either use
a Flying-type such as Fletchling or Pidgey for Gust or Peck, or Pikachu for
Thunder Shock. After defeating Surskit, Viola would send out Vivillon.
Vivillon is a Bug/Flying-type so Fire, Flying and Electric are good against
it. I would recommend sending out your effective Pokémon that has the
highest HP as Vivillon's Infestation might catch you off-guard. Infestation
is a move that damages your Pokémon for 4-5 turns and the affected would
not be able to flee or switch out.

After winning, Viola will present you with the Bug Badge, the badge that
lets Pokémon obey you in battle until LV30. She will also give you TM83
Infestation. You may head out of the gym through the staircase behind
Viola.

As you exit, you will be told to head up to the Pokémon Lab in Lumiose
City. To head to Lumiose City, go to the right and then north at the first
corner. You will be stopped by Alexa, Viola’s sister. She will give you
an Exp. Share.

As you enter route 4, you will encounter colored flower patches for the
first time. Some patches with different colors may contain a different type
of Pokémon or have a Pokémon of the same type but with a variation. An
example for this route would be Flabébé. Flabébé is a Fairy-type
Pokémon that clings to a flower. The color of the flower that it is
holding would depend on the color of the flowers where you encounter it.

There are some maze-like hedges in this route, though they are not that
difficult to pass through and it would not get you lost. Head to the patch
of flowers to the left and go up via the right passage. Keep on going up
until you have the option to go to the left to obtain a Super Potion.

Go back to the upper right then up again past the flowers. Go to the left
and up to obtain a Great Ball.

Go back to the center path and head for the left hedges. Enter through the
opening from the center path and head up to obtain a Repel.

Head back for the center path again and enter the flower patch to the left.
Go up then left for a Pokémon battle.

-=Gardener Wheaton(Prize Money: P640)=-
LV10 Corphish(Water)

After defeating him, go to the right, up and down to obtain an Antidote

Return to the center path and go north to the fountain. The fountain is
called the Perle Fountain. There will be two trainers skating around it and
you may challenge them to a battle.

-=Roller Skater Roland(Prize Money: P320)=-
LV10 Pidgey(Normal/Flying)

-=Roller Skater Roland(Prize Money: P320)=-
LV10 Fletchling(Normal/Flying)

Head north past the fountain. Go up the stairs and in the right entrance,
you may battle a trainer. If you do not want to battle her, enter through
the left entrance.

-=Poké Fan Agnes(Prize Money: P560)=-
LV7 Burmy(Bug)
LV7 Burmy(Bug)
LV7 Burmy(Bug)

Head a little bit to the north and go to the middle of the two paths to
obtain a Poison Barb. It is a item that boosts Poison-type moves when held
by the Pokémon.

You may also battle the walking trainer to the right and the trainer to the
left.

-=Preschooler Adrian(Prize Money: P144)=-
LV9 Magikarp (Water)

-=Preschooler Mia(Prize Money: P144)=-
LV9 Budew(Grass/Poison)

Head north past Preschooler Mia then left when you see a patch of red
flowers. Enter the path to the north if you want to battle a trainer, if
not, take the path with the flowers on the far left. To the left of the
trainer is a Net Ball

-=Gardener Grover(Prize Money: P640)=-
LV10 Corphish(Water)

Head back to the main path then go north. The man in the middle is also
trainer.

-=Poké Fan Gabe (Prize Money: P720)=-
LV7 Pichu(Electric)
LV7 Pichu(Electric)

Ignore the people on the north for now and head for the right then down
until you reach the red flowers again. Go left and up and try to meet the
walking trainer ahead so that he would not block your way to the north.

-=Gardener Fabian(Prize Money: P640)=-
LV10 Corphish(Water)

Head up going around to the left, up and right to the very corner in order
to obtain an Ether. This is the last item on the map.

Go back to the center and head north to trigger a cutscene. The two people

Once outside the lab, you are now free to roam the parts of the city that
isn’t affected by the blackout. Most of the establishments available
would be along South Boulevard, so we’ll be exploring that first. You may
skip to Café Soleil if you do not wish to explore the city.

[LS1]==South Boulevard==
[LC1]-Restaurant Le Nah-
To head to the first establishment, from the Route 4 entrance, go to the
right and head for the door with a star on top. There is also a Skiddo
sleeping nearby. This is Restaurant Le Nah.

The restaurant serves a Double Battle meal wherein you will battling 3
double battles in a row. The meal costs P3,000.

In between courses of the battles, your Pokémon will be healed as you eat
your dish.

You will then receive Tiny Mushrooms after the meal. The number of Tiny
Mushrooms you receive will depend if you followed the turn recommendations
per battle.

If you followed all the turn recommendations for the meal, there will be a
star when you next select the Double Battle meal to prove that you have
cleared it with the recommendation per turn and be called a “Perfect
Customer”.

[LC2]-Cafe Introversion-
Café Introversion is the red building located to the right of Restaurant
Le Nah. According to its staff, Café Introvert is a place where shy people
who love to communicate with others gather. The customers in this café
talk about the things you can do with the wireless feature of the Nintendo
3DS. One of which would be about Pokémon Miles. You can know more about
Pokémon Miles at the Pokémon Center nearby.

[LC3]-Lumiose Transportation Office-
This building is located directly in front of Café Introversion and it
does not have any signs outside. You can talk about the transportation of
Lumiose City here but as of the moment, most of the services are closed due
to the blackout in the city. The Gogoat shuttle will be available once you
are able to reach Route 5.

There are some interesting people on the second floor, though you won’t
be able to obtain any items here. One of them would be a garbage collector
that collects garbage all across Kalos. He will disappear after you talk to
him. You may also inspect the trash cans if you wish but there are no items
here.

[LC4]-Pokemon Center-
The Pokémon Center is located at the corner of South Boulevard and Vernal
Avenue. It is to the left of Café Introvert.

Poké Miles
To the right of the nurse is a man you can talk to about Pokémon Milage or
Poké Miles for short. Poké Miles can be earned by trading Pokémon or
whenever you pass by people. The number of miles would depend on the
regions registered Nintendo 3DS systems. You may also earn some miles by
walking around the Kalos Region. You may refer to your trainer card to know
how many Poké Miles you have.

Poké Mart
Aside from the essentials, this Poké Mart also sells TMs. They are quite
pricey though.

[LC5]-PR Video Studio-
Directly in front of the Pokémon Center, to the right of the Pokémon Lab
is the PR Video Studio. You can create your 10-second Promotional Video
here.

Upon entering, you will be invited to create a PR Video. There are three
default options for your PR Video depending on your gender. Choose what you
want and after a shoot, you’ll be able to view it. You will then be asked
if you want to have it share don the PSS or not.

If you want to redo the video, talk to the same guy who called you over.
You have three slots where you can save your PR Videos. You can also create
new videos with a Pokémon from your current party as a part of it.

For more information, please head to the Trainer PR Video section of this
guide.

After you view your video, talk to the girl at the back and she will give
you a Lens Case. You can change your contact lens in a fitting room.

[LC6]-Coiffure Clips-

way as to what you want, and work on it immediately. Saving before having
your hair styled is recommended.

[LC7]-Cafe Soleil-
Your way to Route 5 would be blocked by Trevor until you meet up with your
rival.

Your rival will be waiting outside the Café and invite you in. As you
enter, you will see Lysandre and another person your rival recognizes.

If you do not wish to explore the city and want to move on with the game,
skip to Gate 5

As soon as they leave, you may also exit the café as there is nothing much
to do here.

[LC8]-Shutterbug Cafe-
To the left of Café Soleil is the Shutterbug Café. You can find people
who are interested in Photography in this café. To know tips on
Photography, speak with the guy at the counter. This will be useful for
when you take pictures at Photo Spots. If you go back to Aquacorde Town and
took a picture at a Photo Spot there, talk to the backpacker and he will
give you a Wide Lens, an item that when held by a Pokémon, boosts their
accuracy.

[LC9]-Poke Ball Research Center-
Across the Shutterbug Café is another unmarked building. This building is
where study how to catch Pokémon. Upon entering, speak with the girl
seated to the left. She will give you a Quick Claw, a held item that lets
your Pokémon strike first.

Take the elevator to the second floor and head for the two researchers
seated at the right side of the room. The one on the left will give you
Quick Balls(x3) and the one on the right will give you Timer Balls(x3).

[LS2]==Vernal Avenue==
Vernal Avenue is the street near the Pokémon Center that leads to the
center of the city.

[LC10]-Boutique Couture-
Upon entering, you will be turned down by this establishment for not being
Stylish enough.

According to some ladies seated outside Café Classe, being stylish means
knowing a lot about Lumiose City. Due to the current blackout, we
wouldn’t be able to explore the city that much. We can leave this
Boutique for now.

[LC11]-Café Classe-

The customers at this café talk about fashion. Speak with the woman behind
the counter if you want to know about the lineups of various boutiques in
different cities.

[LC12]-Stone Emporium-
This shop is located on the other side of the street, right across Boutique
Couture. They sell evolution stones.

There is an old man at the left corner of the shop that will sell a Mega
Evolution stone for P1,000,000. Don’t get your hopes up as that amount of
money cannot be attained.

[LC13]-Herboriste-
Herboriste sells herbal medicine for Pokémon. They are cheaper than the
common counterparts such as Super Potion or Hyper Potion. Their side effect
is that they reduce your Pokémon’s friendship as it is bitter.

[LC14]-Friseur Furfrou-
This groomers is the red building where there are two kids standing
outside. They style your Furfrou for P500. The more you have your Furfrou
styled, more styles will be unlocked. Furfrou can be obtained in Route 5,
which can be accessed after you meet with your rival at Café Soleil.

[LC15]-Café Woof-
Café Woof is located directly to the right of Friseur Furfrou. This is a
café of Furfrou admirers. Nothing much to do here.

==Gate 5==
The exit to Route 5 is located at the other end of town. This is where
Trevor was when you have not met up with your rival at Café Soleil yet.
Upon nearing the exit, you will receive a message from Tierno and he will
tell you that he is in Route 5.

As you enter Gate 5, you will be called out by Mr. Bonding. He will tell
you about O-Powers and give you an Attack Power and Defense Power.

Once he leaves, you may now exit to your left to reach Route 5.

good vibes for a certain type of Pokémon.

He will ask for a specific type of Pokémon per day. If you show him the
type he is looking for, he will give you a berry, once a day.

Leave the house and enter the Shabboneau Castle in the middle of town.

You will meet Shauna you will be told about the story of Shabboneau Castle.
You will then be interrupted as the person you were speaking with has
business at Route 7. Shauna will then ask to go to Route 7 as well.

Before you leave the castle, head to the second floor using the staircase
at the back. The left or right staircase leads to the same area. Go south
and pick up the Escape Rope in the room. There is a bedroom in the north
but there are no items there.

Exit the castle and head for Route 7 by exiting the town to the left.

prevent you from taking the upper path.

=Berry Field=
Before heading to your destination, keep an eye out for an opening to the
south. Enter it and you will be greeted by a child and her grandfather.
They will ask you to take care of their Berry field.

They will give you instructions on how to plant berries. The grandfather
will then give you Oran Berries(x5) and Pecha Berries(x5) to start off. He

Before heading inside the Palace, talk to the lady outside near the Palais
Lane entrance. She will give you an Oran Berry. Head near the fence of the
Palace and pick up the Ether in the far left.

To the lower left of the lower left of the area is the a Photo Spot. You
can take a picture if you want.

Head for the gate to enter the Palace. You will be asked for an entrance
fee of P1,000 which you will have no choice but to pay.

As you enter, you will be greeted by the sight of a man searching for his
Furfrou. Shauna asks you to help look for it.

Let’s explore the palace before looking for Furfrou. The left most room
beside the staircase has nothing special in it. The room to its right with
the backpacker in front is a bedroom where you and your Pokémon can rest
and rejuvenate.

There are no other notable things on the first floor, proceed to the second
floor via the staircase to the left. Head to the left and enter the first
room to obtain an Amulet Coin. Let your Pokémon hold the Amulet Coin so
that you can earn twice as much money after battles.

There are no more items inside the palace, but you can get a nice view of
the courtyard by going to the balcony. The balcony is to the left of the
room where the Amulet Coin was.

Head back to the first floor and enter the courtyard through the door in
the middle.

Enter the southwest area of the courtyard and go to the left to obtain HM01
Cut. Cut enables you to access areas which were not passable before. Head
northwest to obtain a Super Potion

Note that a Pokémon cannot forget HM moves unless taken to a Move Deleter.
Pokémon with HM moves also cannot be traded to those players who have yet
to have that HM for their own

Head north and ignore Furfrou for now. Go to the upper leftmost corner of
the area for a Guard Spec.Go back to the entrance of the courtyard and
enter the southeast area. In the middle of this area is an Antidote.

Leave the southeast area and head to the east. Go up until you notice a
small dirt path. You may not see it if you stick to the right most but
there is a hidden Revive amongst the bushes.

Go back to the northwest and enter the area where Furfrou is. As you
approach it, it will run away.

You and Shauna will have to work together to catch it. Tell shauna to wait
at the entrance where you were standing and approach Furfrou from the lower
left. When it runs, move Shauna to the left area while you approach Furfrou
form the right.

Once you’ve cornered it, its owner will ask you to meet him at the
balcony so that he can reward you.

Head back in to the palace and go to the balcony. Speak with Shauna for a
cutscene.

Shauna will then remember what you went there for and mention that you need
to wake the Snorlax up. The owner will then hand you over the Poké Flute.

Shauna will then ask the butler about Mega Evolution. He will mention
reading about it in the palace library. The palace library is where you
obtained the Amulet Coin. You can read about it if you want but there is
nothing you can gain from it. Before he leaves, he will give you TM17
Protect.

With the Poké Flute on hand, head back to Route 7 to wake Snorlax up.

Timer Ball. You may capture it if you want, but if you accidentally defeat
it, it will just flee to the mountains.

The owner of the Parfum Palace will come and tell you that the Poké Flute

There is also a hidden Rare Candy along the shore. You will receive an item
that will help you locate this later on in this route.

Head back north and stick to the cliffs on the right until you see a lady
in her swimsuit. She will give you the Dowsing Machine. It will help you
locate hidden items.

On the corner lower left from her is a Pearl. Go directly south and hidden
in a rock is an Ultra Ball.

Head to the west and then south and stick to the shore. There should be a
berry tree at the west part of the beach. Pick up the Mago Berry in front
of it. Use the Dowsing Machine to locate the Stardust hidden in the sands.

Keep your Dowsing Machine on and head south from the tree to obtain a Heart

LV22 Swoobat

-=Swimmer Marisa (Prize Money: P352)=-
LV22 Masquerain

After defeating her, just head north to reach Cyllage City.

--------------------------------------------
[c22] - Cyllage City
--------------------------------------------
=In this city:=
-Pokémon Center
-Bicycle Shop
-Pokémon Massage (Unmarked house)
-Hotel Cyllage
-Pokémon Café
-Cyllage City Boutique
-Cyllage City Gym

From the city entrance, head near the house where the Black Belt is. At the
back, you should find an Ether hidden in a rock. Enter the house in front
of it to obtain a Sachet. This is a held item that will help the Pokémon
Spritzee evolve when traded.

Exit the house and follow the asphalt road until you see the Pokémon
Center. Enter it and there will be a trainer to the left of the nurse. He
will trade his Steelix in exchange of a Luvdisc. You can obtain Luvdisc by
fishing at the beach. The Poké Mart here also sells special Pokéballs.

Leave the Pokémon Center and enter the house next to it. Speak to the lady
and she will offer to massage the first Pokémon in your party. Having your
Pokémon massaged will increase their friendliness.

Exit the house and cross the road to the right. Enter the Bicycle Shop. You
will be the 10,001st customer and you have a chance to win a bicycle. He
will ask if bikes have more than one color. Answer “Of course!” and
then you will be asked to choose the color of your bike. The default colors
are Green and Yellow.

Behind the Bicycle shop, where the asphalt road turns left, is a lady that
is selling Soda Pop. Soda Pop restores your Pokémon’s HP by 60 and only
costs P300 each. It is cheaper that a Super Potion so buying a dozen
(P3,600) is recommended.

Cross the street to the left and enter the house. Talk to the lady sitting
down and she will ask you two questions. The answer for the first is Persim
Berry while the second is Confusion. Answer correctly and she will give you
Persim Berries(x3). She will also give you a technique for double battles.

At the corner of the asphalt road is a Boutique. Check out their selection
if you want. The dirt road to the left leads to Hotel Cyllage and the
Pokémon Café.

Enter the Hotel and speak with the couple to the left to obtain the TM44
Rest and TM88 Sleep Talk combo.

Head for the second floor and talk to the maid near the stairs for a
Destiny Knot. When a Pokémon holding this item will be infatuated, the
opposing Pokémon will be infatuated as well. Afterwards, check the second
room to see if the lady giving ribbons will be there.

Go the last room to see Mr. Bonding. He will give you the Prize Money Power
Lv.1

Next to the hotel is the Pokémon Café. This place is where other trainers
show of their Pokémon. It is entirely optional to dine in the Café. When
you view their Pokémon, it will be considered as “seen” on your
Pokédex. This will be helpful if you want to locate Pokémon that you have
yet to see.

The location where you would want to sit will determine the type of
Pokémon the other trainers will show you.

To the upper left of the Café is a path to the beach. Head for the beach
and follow the dirt path that leads to the water. You should end up in a
islet. On the rock to the upper left of this islet is a Pearl.

Head back up to the asphalt road and keep on going left until you see a
Cyclist. Near him is a hidden X Speed. Keep on going left then down for a
Super Potion behind the bench.

Follow the dirt path south until you hit the asphalt again. Keep on
following it south until it goes up a slope. As you go up, you will be met
by the gym leader and he will give you HM04 Strength. You will not be able
to use this HM outside of battle until you defeat him.

From there, keep on going up until you reach the peak. Ignore the cave
entrance to the right for now. Use your D-pad to slowly go down the slope
as there is an item you can obtain midway.

Go down using the dirt slope to the south and follow the road on the left.
In front of the Pokémon Gym is a Protein hidden in the rock. Take the
slope down to the left to obtain an X Defense.

Head back up and get ready for the Cyllage City Gym.

--------------------------------------------
[c23] - Cyllage City Gym
--------------------------------------------
The Cyllage City Gym specializes on Rock-type Pokémon. The challenge for
this is to climb up walls to reach the top. Using Fighting-type and
Grass-type Pokémon are recommended for this gym.
Climb the first wall you see to battle the first trainer. He will have
Dwebble as his first Pokémon, so using a Water-type or Ice-type move is
recommended while Relicanth is weak against Grass-type moves.

-=Rising Star Didier(Prize Money: P1,380)=-
LV21 Dwebble(Bug/Rock)
LV23 Relicanth(Water/Rock)

Climb the left wall behind Rising Star Didier and proceed climbing to the
left. There will be a wall you can climb where you can fight a trainer if
you want.

-=Hiker Craig (Prize Money: P1,344)=-
LV24 Roggenrola

Go back down and head to the left to fight another trainer, then up the
wall for another.

-=Rising Star Manon(Prize Money: P1,320)=-

LV22 Lunatone(Rock/Psychic)

-=Hiker Bernard(Prize Money: P1,176)=-
LV21 Rhyhorn(Ground/Rock)
LV21 Nosepass(Rock)
LV21 Onix(Rock/Ground)

Head up one last wall to reach the Gym Leader. Using a fighting type
against his first Pokémon , Amaura, is very weak against Fighting Types.
As for his second Pokémon, Tyrunt, using an Ice-type move is recommended
as it is very weak against it.

You will receive TM39 Rock Tomb and the Cliff Badge after defeating him.
The Cliff Badge allows you to use the move Strength outside of battle and
lets Pokémon up to LV40 obey you even if they are traded. Exit via the
wall to the left.

Leave the gym and teach your Pokémon Strength. Head to the cave entrance
near the top of the mountain to clear the path.

===Connecting Cave – Zubat Roost===
As you enter the cave, use strength on the cubic rock in the north to
obtain TM40 Aerial Ace.

Go back to the middle path and head south this time. Push the boulder to
connect the north and south part of the cave.

The Day Care and Battle Chateau should now be accessible if you want to go
back there. Go back to Cyllage City and head for the north exit to get to
Route 10.

you will end up in a previous area. Go south a bit and then west then down
the stairs. Follow the path and ignore the way to the right. Keep going
north until you reach the glass, then turn right and take the stairs. Go
down to obtain an Earth Plate.

Go back to the glass and head left this time. Watch the glass as there is a
hidden room. Enter it to obtain TM74 Gyro Ball. Exit south and jump down
the ledge to the right as there is nothing else in this room for now.

Head up the stairs and go north, take the staircase up to the left and you

[c28] - Shalour City
--------------------------------------------
=In this city:=
-Pokémon Center
-Shalour City Gym
-Tower of Mastery
-Photo Spot

As you enter the city, head for the house to the west. Speak to the lady up
the stairs and she will ask if you have either a Flying-type or
Psychic-type Pokémon. If you do, she will give you Stardusts.

Enter the Pokémon Center and speak with Mr. Bonding in the left corner. He
will give you Critical Power Lv. 1. The Poké Mart here also sells TMs.

Go to the house to the right of the Pokémon Center and talk to the
researcher at the back. If you have seen enough Pokémon on your Coastal
Pokédex, he will give you an Eviolite. It is a held item that boosts an
un-evolved Pokémon’s Defense and Special Defense.

Head back to the road near the Pokémon Center and go north. You will meet
Tierno and Trevor and they will tell you where the Mega Evolution guru
might be.

Continue to the northwest and enter the house just past the staircase. Talk
to the man near the door and he will ask to trade berries with you if you
want. The Pokémon Gym is just beside this house but the Gym Leader is
away.

Go back to the east and head down to the beach this time. Head north and
Tierno will catch up to you and give you an Intriguing Stone

After speaking with Tierno, head for the northwest corner of the beach to
find Stardust hidden in the rock. To the east corner would be a Photo Spot.

Head for the Tower of Mystery. Before entering the arc, go to the right to
obtain a Max Ether. Go in and climb the stairs to the top. Before entering
the building, go to the right again to obtain a Max Repel.

Enter the building and go in the green door directly in front of you. You
will meet the Evolution Guru along with Leader Korrina. He will ask you who
found the Intriguing Stone.

You will then be informed that there is only one Mega Ring for now and he
will make you choose amongst yourselves as to who will use it. Everyone
else will back out except your Rival.

Your rival will suggest battling over it. You will be given time to prepare
and go to the Pokémon Center if you want before challenging your rival.

-==Pokémon Trainer Calem/Serena(Prize Money: P3,000)==-
LV28 Meowstic(Psychic)
LV30 Quilladin or Braixen or Frogadier
LV28 Absol(Dark)

After defeating your rival, you will be told that you need to defeat the
Gym Leader Korrina first. Leave the tower as you do not have access to the
upper floors yet. Head to the Gym at the west part of town for your Gym
Battle.

--------------------------------------------
[c29] - Shalour City Gym
--------------------------------------------
This gym specializes on Fighting-type Pokémon. Using Psychic, Fairy and
Flying-type moves are recommended. A warning for those using Flying-type
Pokémon: A lot of the Pokémon in this Gym can use Rock-type moves. If you
will use a Flying-type Pokémon, make sure it can take a hit if it cannot
defeat its opponent in one turn.

The gym’s gimmick would be the use of Roller Skates. There will be
skaters strolling around the track and they will challenge you as soon as
they encounter you. You need to defeat four trainers in order to get to the
middle.

Roller Skater Kate(Prize Money: P896)
LV28 Meditite(Fighting/Psychic)
LV28 Mienfoo(Fighting)

Roller Skater Shun(Prize Money: P864)
LV27 Pancham(Fighting)

Roller Skater Dash(Prize Money: P960)
LV30 Heracross(Bug/Fighting)

Roller Skater Rolanda(Prize Money: P928)
LV27 Sawk(Fighting)
LV29 Hariyama(Fighting)

When all platforms are raised, skate on the bar to the middle area to reach
the Gym Leader

Leader Korrina(Prize Money: P5,120)
LV29 Mienfoo(Fighting)
LV28 Machoke(Fighting)
LV32 Hawlucha(Fighting/Flying)

After defeating her, you will receive the Rumble Badge. This will allow you
to use the HM Surf outside of battle. It will also make Pokémon up to LV50
obey you even if they are traded. She will also give you TM98 Power-up
Punch.

She will also tell you that in order to obtain the Mega Ring, you would
have to climb the Tower of Mastery and battle her again.

Leave via the bar to the south and exit the gym then head for the Tower of
Mastery.

After the Gym Battle, enter the Tower of Mastery and you will now be
allowed to go up the tower.Enter the room on the third floor and talk to
the guy with purple hair to obtain TM47 Low Sweep.

Exit and head to the top floor to challenge Korrina. She will give you the
Mega Ring and lend you the Lucario that is fond of you. Both Lucarios have
a Lucarionite and are able to Mega Evolve. You will have a Mega Lucario vs.
Mega Lucario battle.

-==Successor Korrina==-
LV32 Lucario

For this battle, you will also be using a LV32 Lucario. As you select to
attack, there will be an option to Mega Evolve Lucario before choosing an
attack. Using Power-up Punch is the recommended move to use as it is supper
effective against Lucario and it raises Lucario's attack.

She believes that the Lucario would want to go with you on your adventure
and she will give it to you.

As you finish the battle, head to the right of the Pokemon Center and look
for the Hiker that was once blocking the way. He is looking for something.
Give the Intruiging Stone That Tierno found and the hiker will give you a
Sun Stone. Exit to the right and your rival will give you HM03 Surf. Make
sure you have an extra space in your party as you will recieve a Pokemon as
you exit this city.

From the Photo Spot, use Surf again and head north until you see an island
with grass. Land and pick up the Big Pearl. Head to the upper right corner
of the island and use Surf. Head to the island with a lone rock to the
north east. Check the rock for a Star Piece.

Surf directly to the west until you hit a large island with the Trainer
Tips board. Do not land yet and keep on heading to the south and west.
There will be a narrow area that leads to an island with grass. Land and
pick up the Deep Sea Tooth. It is a held item that when given to Clamperl,
enables it to evolve to Huntail when traded.

Check the rock for a hidden Hyper Potion then south of it would be a Deep
Sea Scale. It is a held item that when given to Clamperl, enables it to
evolve to Gorebyss when traded.

Head south again to obtain TM81 X-Scissor.

Go back to the island with the Trainer Tips board. Check the rock behind it
for a Heart Scale. Walk north for a Dive Ball

Stand behind where the Dive Ball was to battle a Sky Trainer. From there,

There is nothing else to do here for now, exit to the south and head to
Coumarine City.

--------------------------------------------
[c32] - Coumarine City
--------------------------------------------
=In this city:=
-Seaside stalls (Free daily berry, Incense merchant)
-Monorail Station
-Coumarine Hotel
-Coumarine Cape
-Pokemon Center
-Coumarine City Gym

As you enter Coumarine City, you will receive a Holo Clip from your rival.

After watching the clip, head to the the port and check the left for a
hidden Elixir. Afterwards, go back down and enter the lone house to the
right. Talk to the old man and he will give you a Silk Scarf. It is a held
item that can powers up Normal-type moves.

Exit the house and approach the stalls directly in front of it. The manned
stall sells incense, items required for certain Pokémon to produce Baby
Pokémon.

You can obtain a free Berry from the empty stall next to it and beside the
empty stall is an Awakening hidden in the floor.

Head to the right and talk to the fisherman to obtain a Good Rod. Continue
to the right to find the monorail station. Enter it for a cutscene.
Professor Sycamore will give you HM02 Fly.

Exit the building after the cutscene for more items. Head to the left then
up and enter the Coumarine Hotel. Speak to the lady with a Marill and she
will give you a Lucky Egg if you have a Pokémon with max friendliness at
the head of your party. Lucky Egg boosts exp obtained during battle. Go up
to the second floor and check if the Ribbon Lady is in the second room. If
not, you’ll find the Game Director in the last room.

Leave the hotel and head to the upper left area. Talk to the girl who is
looking out to the sea. She will give you a quiz. Answer correctly and you
will receive a TM. You can obtain 4 TMs from her, one per day.
Here are the answers:
Q:It makes the target lose its ability to concentrate and lowers the
target's Sp. Atk stat. A: TM100 Confide
Q: If the user is not holding an item, this attack inflicts massive damage.
A: TM62 Acrobatics
Q:This move prevents the target from using its held item. A: TM63 Embargo
Q: Slower Pokemon get to move first for five turns. A: TM92 Trick Room

Go back to the monorail station and take the train. As soon as you
disembark, talk to the man in the middle to obtain a Metronome. This is a
held item that increases the power of a move that a Pokémon uses
consecutively.

Exit the station and enter the Pokémon Center to the left. Talk to Mr.
Bonding near the dressing room. He will give you the Befriending Power.
This is useful for Pokémon that only evolve with high friendship or if you
want a Pokémon’s move Return to have stronger power. The Poké Mart in
this city sells special balls.

Leave the Pokémon Center and check the space near the board to the left of
it for a hidden Max Repel.

Go south and enter the house to the right. If you talk to the guy in the
middle, he will play a song for you that will change the back ground music
in that house. It’s up to you if you want to tip him. Talk to the girl
and she will mimic the sound of a Pokémon in your party. Guess it
correctly and she will give you a Poké Toy. You can use this item to
escape from a wild Pokémon battle.

Leave the house and head south again. Enter the gate and speak with the guy
that is standing up. He will give you Black Sludge. It is a held item that
gradually restores HP to Poison-tupe Pokémon but deals damage to any other
type. You can take advantage of this by making an opponent hold this item
using the move Switcheroo.

Go back to the city and head north. Do not battle your rival yet. Go to the
right then up to obtain a Sky Plate then battle your rival in front of the
Gym. After you defeat your rival, you may now enter the city’s gym.

-==Pokemon Trainer Serena (Prize Money: P3,300)==-
LV31 Meowstic (Psychic)
LV33 Quilladin/Braixen/Frogadier
LV31 Absol (Normal)

--------------------------------------------
[c33] - Coumarine City Gym
--------------------------------------------
The Coumarine City Gym specializes in Grass-type Pokémon. Fire-type,
Flying-type, Ice-type and Poison-type moves are recommended for this Gym.
It would be best to have at least two of these types as there are some dual
type Pokémon that are resistant to some of the Grass-type weakness. There
are also Pokémon in this gym that have the ability Poison Point. It may
cause poison when your Pokemon make contact with a Pokémon with this
ability makes contact. Bringing Antidotes are recommended.

Climb the first rope up then swing to the right. The left area is a dead
end. Battle the trainer to proceed.

-=Pokemon Ranger Chaise (Prize Money: P2,560)=-
LV32 Simisage (Grass)

Climb the rope up and proceed left twice. Ignore the rope in the middle as
it leads to nowhere. You have the option of swinging to the right to battle
a trainer but the way to the gym leader is to the left.

-=Pokemon Ranger Maurice (Prize Money: P2,320)=-
LV29 Ferroseed (Grass/Steel)
LV29 Lombre (Water/Grass)
LV29 Carnivine (Grass)

Use Fire on Ferroseed, Flying or Poison on Lombre and any of the super
effective moves on Carnivine.

Swing to the left then down and left again for another battle.

-=Pokemon Ranger Brooke (Prize Money: P2,400)=-
LV30 Roselia (Grass/Poison)
LV30 Wormadam (Bug/Grass)

It is best to attack Roselia with a Special move as Roselia may poison your
Pokémon if you use Physical moves. Wormadam should be easy as it is really
weak against both Fire and Flying-type moves.

Climb the rope up, left then up and end up at another split. There is
nothing to the left so go to the right twice for another battle.

-=Pokemon Ranger Brooke (Prize Money: P2,400)=-
LV29 Gloom (Grass/Poison)
LV31 Exeggcutor (Grass/Psychic)

Climb up again and follow the path to the right to meet the Gym Leader.

-==Gym Leader Ramos (Prize Money: P5,440)==-
LV30 Jumpluff (Grass/Flying)
LV34 Gogoat (Grass)
LV31 Weepinbell (Grass/Poison)

Jumpluff has a flying-type move so be careful with using a Fighting-type
Pokémon against it. It should go down easily with an Ice-type move. Gogoat
has Bulldoze, a move that is super effective against Fire-type and
Flying-types so if ever you are using one of those, be sure to take this
Pokémon down as soon as possible. The last Pokémon would be Weepinbell.
As it is part Poison, Psychic type moves are also good against it.

After the battle, you will be awarded the Plant Badge. It allows you to use
Fly outside of battle and makes Pokémon up to LV60 obey you even if they
are traded. You will also recieve TM86 Grass Knot.

Take the slide to the right and exit the Gym. Head all the way south to
continue to Route 13. On your way to the gate, you will receive a Holo Clip
from Lysandre.

Enter the gate and you will see Sina and Dio. They will update your
Pokédex to include the Mountain Kalos area.

Exit to proceed to Route 13.
