A chasm opens and swallows up a whole village in a blink of an eye. A
crystal that can affect the world's fate, swallowed by darkness as its
guardian, a young maiden looks on. A lass who set out on a journey to
prove her worth to her father and a mysterious vagrant with memories lost.
These events brought the four young heroes together and how the story
revolved around them.

Bravely Default is regarded as the spiritual successor of Final Fantasy:
The Four Heroes of Light. The game offers beautiful graphics, retro-style
gameplay akin to the job and battle system of Final Fantasy V. Veteran
players will feel the nostalgia and the genuine "JRPG" feel in this very
promising title while new JRPG fans alike will surely enjoy the gripping
story and engaging gameplay.

              ==============================================
INTRO: ON THE PRECIPICE OF DESPAIR
              ==============================================

#################
INT01 // Caldisla
#################

After the scenes, you'll wake up in the inn in caldisla. Owen, the Caldisla
guard captain will inform you about Norende's fate. You're free to control
Tiz at this point. The game has hidden items so it will help thorougly
searching for them as you find new areas.

To start off, search the lower right corner of the room to find a hidden
Potion. Next, go dowstairs and find the 50pg hidden in the plant across the
counter near the entrance. Exit the inn then talk to the Adventurer outside
to save your game.

Your destination is in the castle to the north. Before going there, you can
find a hidden Antidote southeast of the Adventurer, by the wall. Continue
to the westernmost portion of the city to find the graveyard. There's a
hidden Phoenix Down in the middle-right side of the tombstones and a hidden
Potion in the tree near the edge of the cliff. Once done, head to the
castle.

Inside the throne room, go to the left and examine the statue there to find
a hidden Eye Drops. Talk to the King to continue with the story then leave
the castle and the town.

In the world map, you'll have a quick overview about jobs and Tutorial
Quests. These are easy quests that will teach you how to get around in the
game. Completing these quests will yield you different items as reward.
There should be a lot of Tutorial Quests you can complete at this point; do
them first then head northwest by following the river. Cross the bridge and
enter the cave to enter the Norende Ravine.

########################
INT02 // Norende Ravine
########################

(Norende Ravine - Trail)
------------------------
When you enter your first battle, the game will give you a battle tutorial.
You won't get damaged; just follow the instructions until the battle is
complete. Take note that all preceeding battles from hereon will be normal
battles.

+------------------------------------------------------------------------+
Tip: You can turn off enemy encounters or increase them anytime but I
will suggest against that unless your party is in bad shape or you just
want to hurry through a dungeon / field.
+------------------------------------------------------------------------+

Follow the straightforward trail until you reach a split in the road. Take
the lower left path first to reach the next screen that contains a chest.
Open the chest to get a Potion. Return to the previous screen and keep
heading west by taking the upper path.

(Norende Ravine - Climb)
------------------------
In the next split on the road, take the lower path south. This will take
you to another chest containing 200pg. Continue west and exit to the next
screen.

(Norende Ravine - Vista)
------------------------
Continue along the straightforward path and you'll find another adventurer
at the end. You'll receive a Strange Hourglass from him which will enable
you to use Bravely Second. Read through the tutorial to learn how to
utilize this very useful feature. Save your game and exit the place to
trigger a cutscene. Shortly after this, Agnes will join your party. Save
again if you want then run back to the next screen. Halfway through, you'll
have to fight a lone Sky Dueler.

*******************************
* Sky Dueler                  *
* HP: 60, Weakness: Lightning *
*******************************

This is just a simple battle. You can have both your characters go to full
Brave and focus fire on the lone enemy using normal attacks. This shouldn't
be that much of a challenge.

After defeating the Sky Dueler, continue forth and make your way to the
next screen. Another Sky Dueler will dropped off along your path. Use the
same tactics as before to defeat it. Continue again and two enemies will
engage you. Aside from the Sky Dueler, you'll have to deal with a Sky
Archer as well. The archer has the same stats and weakness as the Dueler.
You can go all out or if you want to play it safe, default for a couple of
turns at least before unleashing your attacks.

After the enemy lets up their attack, you'll be introduced to Party Chat.
This is similar to the Tales series' "skits". These are optional but will
provide a good backdrop in the story via your party members' dialogue.(PC:
A Common Destination) Head to the next screen to trigger another cutscene.

After learning more about Agnes and her mission, another party chat option
will become available. (PC: The Miracle Man). Continue along the road and
you'll trigger another cutscene and a party chat after that. (PC:
Rebuilding a Village) Lead to the exit and leave the ravine.

#############################
INT03 // CALDISLA / WORLD MAP
#############################

After the short conversation, you'll get a short tutorial about summoning
friends and sending your selected move/command that they'll be able to once
they summon you. Once done, save your game if you want then head back to
the city.

Caldisla
----------------------
You can sleep in the inn to replenish your party's HP then head to the
castle to speak with the King. After the conversation, you'll now be able
to access the Norende Village restoration menu from the left side of the
bottom screen. A new party chat will become available as well. (PC: Agnes
Intentions) For more information about the village restoration, please
refer to the section of the guide. If you have played the demo and was able
to get a lot of residents in the village, you should start with 20
villagers. This is a good enough number to start some restoration efforts
to the village to unlock shops. The contents of these shops can be bought
from any adventurer you encounter.

Leave the castle and you'll have to view another conversation. Another
party chat will be viewable afterward. (Tiz the Navigator) Save your game
if you still haven't then leave the city. You can grind outside the city if
you want to get some extra exp and money to get better equipment. When
you're ready, head to the southwest this time to reach the lake.

Once you're near, a cutscene will be triggered. This will be your first
boss battle.

*******************************
* Barras                      *
* HP: 300, Weakness: None     *
*******************************
* Holly                       *
* HP: 250, Weakness: None     *
*******************************

Focus your attacks on Holly first since she can use damaging magic attacks
and can buff too. Keep your party's HP above 50% using potions or the
Freelancer ability "Treat". I suggest using potions since they heal 150 HP
per use. Potions are also cheap to come by so you don't have to be mindful
of using them as necessary. Holly will use Protect to increase her and
Barras' defense. Barras can also use Invigorate to increase his phys attack
damage. Once Holly is taken out, alternately go on default to stack BP and
heal as necessary.

After the battle, you'll get the Monk and White Mage asterisks. These are
new jobs that you can change into from hereon. Have your two current
characters change to these jobs. For now, return to the castle.

Caldisla
----------------------
As soon as you enter, you’ll get a tutorial about Magic. Since you have
some cash, you can head to the magic shop and buy at least Cure. You can
buy other scrolls as well if you have cash though I’ll recommend spending
your funds in upgrading your current equipment. You can also rest at the
inn to fully replenish your party. If you’ve been playing the Norende
Village Restoration mini-game, you should have access to great equipment at
this point. Head to the throne room and talk to the King to continue with
the story.

After the conversation with the King, a party chat will be available. (Two
Bumpkins). Head to the inn and watch the next scene. After the scenes,
Ringabel will join your party. D’s Journal will be added to your menu. A
new party chat will be available as well. (A Man of Mysteries) Exit the
city as well. In the overworld, cross the river to the northeast and enter
the fort along the path.

########################
INT04 // CENTRO KEEP (1)
########################

1F
-----------------
After the short dialogue, go to the cell to the right and pull down the
lever on the wall. The gate to the north of the cell will open Take the
stairs to reach the 2nd floor.

2F
-----------------
Head to the south and pull to the lever to the southeast to open yet
another gate. Don’t forget to get the Silver Glasses from chest nearby.
Take the stairs to the north to reach the next floor.

3F
-----------------
Head to the right and open the chest to obtain a Phoenix Down. Take the
middle path then head to the right. The lever is located in the middle.
Pull it then get an Echo Herb from the chest north of the lever. There’s
a hidden passage in the southeast corner of the floor. Head south then west
until you get a prompt to "Inspect". You’ll get an Iron Knuckles from
that chest.

Go through the gate to the southwest. Pull the lever to the southwest
corner then get a Wakeup Bell from the chest nearby. Head north then go
downstairs.

2F
-----------------
Find the lever in the middle-south and pull it down. Open the two chests
nearby containing a Potion and a Mage Masher. Head to the northwest and
talk to the Adventurer to save your game. Upgrade your equipment if you can
afford it and heal up as necessary. When ready, go downstairs

1F
-----------------
Head south to fight the Eternian black mage.

**************************************
* Black Mage Ominas Crowe *
* HP: 1800, Weakness: None, FAM:Human*
**************************************

You should have a monk and white mage in your party. The white mage should
have Cure learned and your monk should have a good weapon equipped as
he/she will be your main attacker. The Mage Masher dagger you acquired
earlier is a good weapon to use here since it has the chance to inflict
Silence. If your level is high enough at this point, you shouldn’t worry
about Crowe’s multi-target black magic since you can heal it off with
Cure. This boss can also inflict Silence and Sleep. If your white mage has
the LV5 Freelancer skill Mislead, you can use this to avoid getting
targeted by the boss. Otherwise, you have to resort in using Wakeup Bells
or Echo Herbs to wake up your allies or cure their silence. Take note that
you don't need to cure the silence of your party members who will be
attacking without using any skills.

After the battle, you’ll obtain the Black Mage Asterisk. After the scene,
Edea will join the party. New party chats will become available, depending
on the progress of Norende's restoration. (Talk of Titles, Norende’s New
Beginning, Norende’s Draw, Operation: Norende Rises, Norende’s
Population) Leave the keep for another scene.

###########################
INT05 // ETERNIAN ABDUCTION
###########################

World Map
-----------------
After the scene, you can view another set of party chats depending on how
much Norende is restored. (Delegating Work in Norende, A Gift from
Norende, Norende’s Special Moves, Norende’s Special Moves Parts,
Norende Nears Completion) Head back to the castle afterward.

Caldisla
-----------------
Once you’re back in the city, head to the castle immediately. After the
scene, a party chat will be available (Edea’s Misunderstanding) Leave the
castle for another scene. Edea will be the only one in the party for now.
Head to the graveyard to the west to continue to the story. Watch the
following scenes and you’ll spend in the night in the inn. The party will
regroup and you’re off to Lontano Villa. Before leaving, change one of
your character's job to a Black Mage and purchase some black magic scrolls,
especially Thunder. Leave the city afterward.

Centro Keep
-----------------
As soon as you’re in the world map, you’ll get a brief tutorial about
special moves. You’ll be thrown in a mock battle for you to get a chance
to practice using a special move. You can also rename a Special Move,
dialogue and effect in the "Special Menu". As you rebuild Norende,
you’ll have access to more special moves and "Parts" which can
provide additional effects to your moves.

After the tutorial, a party chat will be available (A Father’s Care).
Head to Centro Keep and examine the door to the north. Edea will open it
and allow your party to go through. After the dialogue, a party chat will
be available. (But You're a Traitor) Exit to the world map. You'll find the
villa in the mountains to the north. It's very obvious so you won't miss
it.

######################
INT06 // LONTANO VILLA
######################

Enter the location and watch the following scene. After the scene, press Y
for another party chat. (A Hard Discovery) Enter the villa and defeat the
enemies.

These shouldn't be a hard battle at this point. Have the Black Mage use
Thunder on all targets to exploit their weaknesses then attack normally
with your other team mates. The Monk will deliver the heaviest
damage-dealer at this point, especially if you're able to afford some
Norende-exclusive weapons and parts.

1F
-----------------
Head to the northeast by going counter-clockwise along the corridor to find
a chest containing Ether. Backtrack a bit then go to the inner hallway. Go
around counter-clockwise past the doorway to find another chest containing
an Antidote. Backtrack to the doorway to the north and go upstairs to the
east.

2F
-----------------
Head to the southeast to find another chest in the middle-eastern room.
Loot it to get a Potion. Follow the hallway again to the west and stay on
the outer circle to find some stairs. Go downstairs to 1F and you should be
able to access the chest there. Loot it for a Spear.

Return to 2F and backtrack a bit. Go to the inner corridor then right
before the exit, enter the room to the right to find another chest
containing 400pg. Exit the floor. You'll be in the other balcony of the
villa. Just proceed to the right to reach the other side of the 2F. Head
north along the corridor past the stairs. You'll find another chest at the
end of the corridor containing a White Cape. Go back to the stairs and
proceed to the third floor.

3F
-----------------
Go to the north and loot the chest containing a Phoenix Down. Head to the
inner corridor. The blue chest to the north is locked so ignore it (and
take note of its location) for now then head to the south. There's an
adventurer waiting there so save up or grind a bit if you feel like it.
Your average party level at this point should be around LV9 to avoid having
problems in the boss battles later on. If you have played the Norende
Restoration, you should have access to Ogre's Club, a weapon that amplifies
lightning attacks. This is a good upgrade/ secondary weapon for your Black
Mage. If you have unlocked parts as well, make sure to add them to your
Special menu.

Once you're ready, head to the next room to find the King and Heinkel.
After the brief conversation, you'll have to fight Heinkel's minions first.

*******************************************
* Sky Dueler, Sky Pikeman, Sky Archers x2 *
* HP: 60, Weakness: Lightning, FAM: Human *
*******************************************

These are just the ordinary enemies you encounter in this area. You can
forcibly have your Black Mage use Brave four times and use Thunder on all
targets for four turns. If you want to be sure, you can have all the
remaining team mates go on full Brave and go for an all-out attack. You
shouldn't have problems with these guys as long as you have the appropriate
level and equipment at this point.

After the battle, you'll have another party chat (Edea's Ire). You can
backtrack to the adventurer to save your game if you want. Exit the floor
and go downstairs. Head to the right to reach the airship. After the scene,
you'll have to face Heinkel himself.

*********************************************
* Boss: Heinkel                             *
* HP: 2400, Weakness: Lightning, FAM: Human *
* ----------------------------------------- *
* Sky Archers x2                            *
* HP: 60, Weakness: Lightning, FAM: Human *
*********************************************

You have to take out the archers first since they can poison your
characters. Use Antidote or white magic Poisona if you have it.
Unfortunately, Heinkel will use Protect Ally to protect the archers and
take the reduced damage upon himself. He will also use Ironclad to further
boost his defenses. Use Thunder on all of them or even use Special attacks
if you want to. When Heinkel's low on HP, he'll use Stomp and attack twice.
This is a very damaging attack but it shouldn't take out any characters in
one turn. Keep your party healed up and continue focusing your attacks
until he's down.

As reward, you'll also get a Gauntlet and recieve the Knight asterisk.
Watch the following scenes. Upon landing, you'll recieve new tutorial
quests. Don't forget to change one of your characters to a Knight to
balance out the party. Complete them first if you want then return to the
city. Heal up at the inn then head to the castle to continue with the
story. Leave the castle and return to the airship.

You should be able to explore the world map freely and fast using the
Eschalot. It should have the capability to sail but since the oceans are
rotted at the moment, you can only travel by air. A party chat will be
available as well. (About Ancheim, Ancheim's Gourmand) Fly to the
southeast, towards the objective marker then find the dock where you can
land. Upon landing, a new chapter starts.

              ==============================================
CHAPTER 1: SIT AND STAY ARE TRICKS FOR DOGS
              ==============================================

################
CH101 // ANCHEIM
################

After the scenes, head straight to the south to find Ancheim, the city in
the demo.

Ancheim
-----------------
After the scene, you'll have another party chat. (Ancheim, Land of Sand and
Time) Rest at the inn until daytime and view another party chat. (The Cogs
of Ancheim) There are new gears and magic scrolls in the shops here so you
can farm outside the city for a while if you want. If possible, try to get
Protect first since it will help in your next major boss battle. When
ready, head to the objective marker (which is present only during the day)
to continue with the story. After the scene, a party chat will be available
(Agnes's Angst) Enter the palace afterward.

Once inside the palace, approach the King for another scene. After the
scene, Sub-Scenarios and a new party chat will become available as well.
(What's This Temple?) Before checking the Sub-scenario to the east, let's
find some hidden items in the city first. Return to the palace then check
the balcony south of the King to find a hidden Phoenix Down.

Exit the palace, head to the west and check the door under the large
windmill to find an Ether. Now head to the east and go downstairs. After
reaching the lower walkway, find the hidden Hi-Potion to the left of the
stairs. Now enter the Khamer Profiteur Merchantry near the blue exclamation
point.

Once inside, examine the cloth hanger to the left of Erutus Profiteur to
get a Gold Hourglass and check also the floor in front of his desk, near
the walkway to find a hidden Teleport Stone.

Once done, talk to Erutus Profiteur and you'll be escorted outside. Examine
the water well to the left of the Merchantry to start the Sub-Scenario. To
continue this scenario, you have to go to the oasis west of Ancheim. For
the full walkthrough of this sub-Scenario and other sub-scenarios in this
chapter, refer to the links provided at the end of this walkthrough's
chapter.

Leave the town and head south to reach the Temple of Wind.

#######################
CH102 // TEMPLE OF WIND
#######################

1F
-----------------
Once inside the temple, a party chat will be avalailable. (Vestal and
Acolytes) Loot the chest to the left to get a Wind Charm. Head to the east
and inspect the messy room if you want for an optional dialogue. Head to
the right and go downstairs.

B1
-----------------
Head to the west and open the chest along the way to get a Remedy. Follow
the straightforward path to the north and open the chest to the northwest
to get a Hi-Potion. Loot the chest in the middle of the room to get a Turbo
Ether. Once done, make your way to the southeast corner of the floor to
find the stairs going up.

1F
-----------------
Head north and inspect the messed up room to the right. Continue along the
path and go upstairs to the northeast.

2F
-----------------
Go down south then west. Don't forget to open the chest in the southwest
corner to get an Ether. Make your way to the northwest corner to find a
Mythril Rod from the chest. There's a masked NPC in the room beside the
chest but he'll turn you away for now because you're "lacking
qualifications". Use the stairs in the middle north of the room to go
back to the first floor.

1F
-----------------
Follow the path and the party will have another short conversation as you
pass by the ruined room. Pull the lever nearby to open the door leading to
the exit, then head to the west to find the last chest in the floor
containing a Mythril Dagger. Talk to the adventurer near the exit and save
your game. Go through the door to reach the crystal.

Altar of Wind
-----------------
Head to the altar and examine it to continue with the story. Leave the
Altar and inspect the room to the east for a short scene. Once done, leave
the temple and make your way to Yulyana Woods. You can stop over at Ancheim
to rest at the inn or grind to earn some money for upgrading your party's
equipment.

##################################
CH103 // YULYANA WOODS NEEDLEWORKS
##################################

Head back to the Eschalot and fly to the objective marker. Land on the lake
and get off the dock. Enter the nearest location in the world map to
continue with the story. The group will spend the night away at the Sage's
place. After learning of the rainbow thread's location, you're free to
leave and search for it. A new party chat will be available as well. (Such
Sweet Sorrow)

Before leaving, check the room to the left of the sewing machine to get a
Peace Ring. You can also sleep for free in the bedroom to the east so you
can grind in the world map if you want. There's a hidden Antarctic Wind in
the bucket beside the wooden bridge, and a fox that acts as an all-around
shop. The fox also sells Mythril equipment which is worth getting at this
point, provided that you have the cash. You can also find an adventurer
here to help you save or access Norende-exclusive goods. Leave the area and
head to the cave west of the lake. You have to circle around to the east to
reach your destination.

######################
CH104 // VESTMENT CAVE
######################

1F
-----------------
Follow the straightforward path and make your way to the southwest corner
of the cave to find a chest containing a Hi-Potion. Head to the northwest
corner to find a Phoenix down as well. Head to the northeast and take the
stairs down.

B1
-----------------
Go south and continue past the split to find a chest at the end containing
500pg. There's another locked blue chest in the middle so ignore it for
now. Go to the left then make your way up to find another chest. Open it to
get a Remedy. From that chest, keep heading straight south and you'll find
a set of stairs going down. Go downstairs and get the Mage Shell from the
chest. Backtrack and return to the previous floor. Now backtrack to the
middle and take the path there going southeast. Go downstairs after that.

B2
-----------------
Head to the west and when you reach the split on the road, take the
southern path first as it leads to a chest containing Echo Herbs. Walk to
the northwest to find an Ether from the chest. Continue to the right and
you'll find yet another split. Head south and you'll find 1000pg from the
chest in the middle of the area.

Backtrack to the split. The path leading to the northeast corner has a
chest containing a Teleport Stone. Now backtrack andtake the last path that
leads to a stairway. Go downstairs.

B3
-----------------
There's an adventurer here so set up your equipment before moving forth.
The boss is weak against water so you can edit your Specials and add Water
parts on them to make your job easier. Make sure to remove Fire parts as
well. When ready, head north for a scene and a boss battle afterward.

**********************************************************
* Boss: Dragon                                           *
* HP: 7500, Weakness: Water, Immunity: Fire, FAM: Dragon *
**********************************************************

This boss only has two attacks: Mow Down and Bully. It attacks twice in a
row but as long as your party's level is high enough (I fought him around
LV14 at this point) and your equipment is upgraded, anyone can survive a
Mow Down + Bully combo as long as he/she has full HP. Your Special attacks
will make a lot of difference here, especially if you have fully equipped
parts slots. If you have Protect, use it regularly during the battle then
keep healing your party to make sure no one goes below 50% of thier HP. If
you have a Knight and a Black Mage (which you should at this point of the
game), the Knight's "Protect Ally" specialty and the B. Mage's LV5
skill Damage Dispersion will help you in some tight occassions. Assist your
White Mage with healing and revival items in case he/she can't keep up
healing the damage the boss inflicts.

You'll obtain the Thunder Charm from the dragon after defeating it. Use a
Teleport Stone to return to the entrance and make your way back to Yulyana
Woods Needleworks.

Yulyana Woods Needleworks
-------------------------
Talk to the Sage to deliver the rainbow thread. The next morning, the
vestments will be finished. You'll have to return to the Temple afterward.
Before leaving, view the new party chat. (Ringabel's Reconnaissance)

#########################
CH105 // THE WIND CRYSTAL
#########################

Temple of Wind
-----------------
Once you’re in the temple, save at the adventurer because there’s a
boss battle ahead. If you have some Special move parts, take note which
ones inflict fire and water since you’ll need both elements to exploit
the weaknesses of the next boss. Your overall party should be at least LV20
and all your gears should be updated already before attempting this. Once
ready, head to the Wind Crystal.

******************************************************
* Orthros (Blue Head)                                *
* HP: 5000, Weakness: Fire, Immune: Water FAM: Beast *
* -------------------------------------------------- *
* Orthros (Yellow Head)                              *
* HP: 5000, Weakness: Water, Immune: Fire FAM: Beast *
******************************************************

You have to concentrate your attacks on a single head, hitting it with the
corresponding element it’s weak against. The two-headed beast’s
Blazzard and Deep Freeze can hit the entire party and cause considerable
damage twice per turn. Aside from your white mage, one of your characters
should be able to act as a backup healer as necessary. You have to keep
everybody’s HP above 75% and your healer(s) should cast buffs to minimize
damage as necessary. Once the first head is down, be wary of the other’s
head’s Brave move. It will continue using multi-target attacks which will
quickly decimate your party if you’re not healed enough. Keep attacking
while healing until the beast is down to half of its HP. Once in that
level, you can go on full brave for all your characters to finish it off.

After the battle, you’ll have to perform the rite to awaken the Wind
Crystal. Keep pressing X until the Crystal is fully awakened and purified.
Once done, your support ability cost limit will increase by one after the
scene. A new party chat will be available as well. (Proof, Not Promises)
Leave the Temple and head back to town.

Ancheim
-----------------
Once back in town, watch the next scenes. After the scene, a new party chat
will be available. (The Wind Returns) Leave the town for a short scene.
Once outside the world map, you’ll have another party chat. (The
Minister’s Generousity) Before continuing on with the main quest, you can
complete two sub-scenarios which will unlock four new job classes for your
party. For the individual walkthroughs of these sidequests, consult the
guide’s corresponding sections.

Once you’re done with the Sub-scenarios and unlocking four new job
classes, you’re off to the next location. Head back to the airship and
watch the following scenes. With Eschalot’s skystone destroyed, you have
to choice but to travel by foot.

Head to the northeast portion of the land and enter the Miasma Woods.

CHAPTER 2: ONE DAY BENEATH A BLUE SKY
              ==============================================

##########################
CH201 ------- MIASMA WOODS
##########################

Miasma Woods - South
--------------------
Near the entrance is a talking fox that serves as an all-around shop. While
exploring the area, avoid the toxic swamp and puddles to avoid getting
poisoned. If you want to unlock a new party chat, just get deliberately
poisoned and heal yourselves using white magic or antidotes. (Tread
Carefully)

------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tip: If you don’t want to bother healing yourselves of poison and just
tread the toxic waters, turn off all encounters and don’t heal your
poison status. Your HP will stay at 1 until you get healed. This will
allow you to explore the area faster without staying on the safe trails
------------------------------------------------------------------------

Follow the path then circle around in the middle to reach the chest
containing a Remedy. Return to the main path and exit to the next area.

Miasma Woods - Central
--------------------
Head to the right and you’ll find another one of those locked blue chests
along the way. Continue north while avoiding the swamp waters. You’ll get
2000pg in the chest along the trail to the north and a Scimitar in the
chest to the northeast.

Backtrack to the main path and go along the central path. Obtain the
Phoenix Down from the chest along the way then exit to the next area to the
northwest.

Miasma Woods - North
--------------------
Head to the left and follow the narrow dirt path to north. This should lead
you to a chest that has a Hi-Potion inside. Next, follow the trail to the
south then go around to the east to go back to Miasma Woods - Central.
Here you’ll be able to access the enclosed chest there containing an
X-Potion. Return to the previous screen and make your way to the southeast
corner of the map to find another chest. Open it to get an Earthing Rod.

Head to the southwest this time to find another chest containing a Turbo
Ether. There’s another chest in the middle of the map. Open it to get an
Ether. Finally, head northwest and turn to the right once you see a split
on the road. The last chest should be there. Loot the Remedy inside it.
Save your game then exit to the world map.

World Map
--------------------
A new party chat will be available. (A Foul Stench) Ignore the cave
entrance to the east for now and follow the trail to the northwest. Cross
two bridges until you reach the city.

####################
CH202 ------- FLOREM
####################

After the scene, a party chat will be available. (A Changed City) You have
to meet the matriarch to continue with the story. Since you’re here,
check out the shops and upgrade your equipment as necessary. Sleep at the
inn to unlock another party chat (Two Tired Boys). Sleeping at the inn is
cheap anyway so you can grind outside the city and try out some of the new
job classes you unlocked.

Once you’re ready to proceed with the story, go to the north of the
village to reach the plaza. Continue forth and head to the right to enter
the matriarch’s house. After talking to her, a new party chat will be
available. (The Water Vestal and Me) Leave the town.

#############################
CH203 ------- TEMPLE OF WATER
#############################

In the world map, head west and cross the bridge. Follow the trail south
and you should find the temple there. Once inside, a new party chat will be
available. (A Pious Life) Head to the left to find a chest in the southwest
corner. Get a Remedy from that chest. Head to the right and inspect the
first empty room in the middle. There’s a hidden passage in that room’s
southwest corner that will lead you to an off-map chest. Open it to get a
Rebuff Locket.

There are two more chests to the southeast, containing a Hi-Potion and
Phoenix Down. You can inspect the empty rooms here for more dialogues.

Proceed to the north to find two more chests, containing an X-Potion and
Ice Charm. Further to the west lies another chest that has an Ether. Save
your game and proceed to the Water Altar for a scene. Leave the temple and
return to Florem.

#############################
CH204 ------- FLOREM: FESTIVAL
#############################

Once back in Florem, head to the matriarch’s house to trigger some
scenes. After that, a party chat will be available. (Tres Fashionaaaabluh)
You now have to talk to various NPCs to learn the trends in the village.
First, talk to the NPC in the split right outside the martriarch’s house.

Next, head to the item shop. After the conversation, you can check the new
party chat as well. (Florem’s Finest Food) Next, talk to the girl near
the flowerbed outside the shop. Next, talk to the man near the edge of the
walkway to the south. Another party chat will be available after the
conversation with the man. (I Want This, and That, and...) Next, talk to
the woman in a blue dress, northwest from where the man is standing. After
that, head back to the Matriarch and talk to her.

After talking to the matriarch, another party chat will become available.
(Sexy Clothes) Before leaving the matriarch’s hall, inspect the floral
pattern behind her seat to find a hidden Tengu Yawn. You’ll also find a
Star Pendant hidden in the wall to the east. Once done, leave the hall.

Head north to the stage and search the southeastern side to find a hidden
Lilith’s Kiss. Head to the City Entrance and find the hidden Ether near
the walkway leading outside. Right outside the magic shop lies a hidden
Bomb Fragment as well. At this point, you can accept two new sub-scenarios
before leaving the city.

Enter the Armory and the clerk will ask you a favor to search for two
sisters in the gardens to the west of the city. For more details about this
sub-scenario, check out the links provided at the end of this walkthrough's
chapter.

For the other sub-scenario, head back to the Plaza area of Florem and talk
to the girl in the intersection between the stage and the martriarch hall.
She’ll tell you about the woman that sells it. Head back to the city
entrance and talk to the girl near the entrance.

After this, go back to the girl in the plaza and approach her for a short
scene. Next, head to the trader. You have to exit the town next and the
blue marker will appear on the map. For more details about this
sub-scenario, check out the links provided at the end of this
walkthrough's chapter.

You can complete the two sub-scenarios above before continuing to the main
story if you want to. To continue with the story, follow the trail back to
the east. Once you’re near the Miasma Woods, you’ll find the entrance
to Mount Fragmentum.

##############################
CH205 ------- MOUNT FRAGMENTUM
##############################

+-------------------------------------------------------------------+
TIP: The Chomper enemies here are annoying. They can poison your
party and run away. However, they yield considerable amounts of
job points upon defeat. However, Alraunes in the Florem Gardens
and near Florem are better options since they also give
considerable money.
+-------------------------------------------------------------------+

Once inside the cave, head down to the left and open the chest at the end
that has a Ripper. Now follow the path to the east this time and get the
Remedy from the chest before the turn. Shortly after, you'll find a split.
Turn to the right first to find a chest that contains 1000pg. Continue
forth to the next area.

Mount Fragmentum - Slope
------------------------
Get 500 pg from the chest to the right. There are two paths here but they
converge in the eastern side with two separate exits. The northern path has
a chest containing a Hi-Potion. The lower path has another one of those owl
NPCs and a chest containing Ether. If you have the summoner class, this owl
sage will introduce himself as the "anchorite of water, moutpiece of
Ziusudra's Sin". (You should also remember that there's another sage
you've met before in the ruins of the Wind Temple) Ziusudra is a water-type
summon and you have to withstand her attack to command her. There's a
savepoint in the next screen so save there before attempting this.

+---------------------------------------------------------------------+
                          Ziusudra's Sin
---------------------------------------------------------------------
To get this summon, you only have to survive the summon's attack for
a turn. Take note that this attack is very powerful and can wipe out
your party instantly without proper preparation. To get the summon,
you only need at least one person to survive the attack. This person
should be at least one of the magician classes, preferably a white
mage that has access to the following support skills:

* Abate Water
* M. Defense 10% Up

If you have the Mage Shell or Ice Charm, equip it to that character
as well. The idea is to concentrate all possible magic defense
boosts and water-type damage reduction abilities to that character.
And that character should have at least 1000 HP. These preparations
should be enough to survive Ziusudra's Sin.
+---------------------------------------------------------------------+

Upon reaching the dual exits to the east, exit through the upper one first
to reach a chest in the next area containing a Nodachi. Return to the
previous screen and take the lower path.

Mount Fragmentum - East
------------------------
Follow the path and save your game. You can set up your party here to
challenge the owl sage and attempt to survive the summon Ziusudra's Sin.
(Refer to the tips above) Once ready to continue forward, heal up and save.
Continue ahead and a boss monster will appear.

********************************************
* Boss: Land Turtle                        *
* HP: 15000, Weakness: Water, FAM: Aquatic *
********************************************

This boss is weak against water-type attacks but it can cast Reflection
Angle to protect itself. However, a spell fencer's blizzara-enchanted
attacks can bypass through this. If you have the ranger job class, you can
get the Aquatic Slayer skill which will be very potent against this beast.
Be careful when the boss is building up BP by defaulting for a few turns
then unleash multiple attacks like Spin Attack that deals heavy damage to
one target or a multi-target attack. Damage dispersion is a good skill to
have that to distribute Spin Attack's heavy damage.

You can't rely solely on magic to exploit the boss' weakness since it will
recast Reflection Angle as soon as it wears off. Take note however, that
the Withering Ripple special of a black mage is capable of removing Reflect
and instilling another elemental weakness to the boss. This is very useful
later in the battle when you have stored enough BP and can chain your
attacks using Brave actions. As long as your level is high enough and you
have good equipment, this boss shouldn't be able to wipe out your party.

After the battle, exit the cave and you'll be back in the world map. Head
east and make your way back to Yulyana Woods.

Yulyana Woods Needleworks
------------------------
After the scenes, you can rest up and make your way back to Florem through
Mount Fragmentum once more. You don't need to walk all the way back to
Florem. As soon as you reach the exit of the mountain, a scene will
trigger.

Florem
------------------------

After the scene, talk to the couple outside the magic shop to start another
sub-scenario. You can't do anything else at the moment so save the game if
you want then head to the plaza to proceed with the festival. Watch the
following scenes. You'll learn about your next destination due west of
Florem.

After the scenes, rest at the inn to continue Dandy DeRosa's sub-scenario.
For the dedicated walkthrough of this sub-scenario, refer to the links
provided at the end of this walkthrough's chapter.

To start yet another sub-scenario, leave the city and enter again. Upon
entering the city again, the group will bump into a person who hurriedly
left without saying anything. The group will pick up a note containing a
warning. For the dedicated walkthrough of this sub-scenario, refer to the
links provided at the end of this walkthrough's chapter.

When you're ready to continue with the story, head to the west and find the
Twilight Ruins.

############################
CH206 ------- TWILIGHT RUINS
############################

1F
------------------------
As soon as you enter the dungeon, you'll unlock a new party chat. (Anxiety)
Follow the path and you'll find a two doors and a crystal. Activating the
crystal will open the door ahead but will close the other. Before
activating the crystal, get the Hi-Potion from the chest in the corridor to
the right then backtrack to activate the crystal.

Continue forth and you'll encounter an open door to the west. Don't go
there yet; instead, go to the adjacent corridor to find a green crystal.
Activate it to reach the chest inside containing an Ether. Leave the
corridor and activate the green crystal again. Backtrack to the main path
and continue forth. Once you've reached the northernmost corridor, head
east to find the last chest in the area. Loot the Remedy from it then go
downstairs to the west.

B1 East
------------------------
Go to the left a bit then loot the chest to the north to get 500pg.
Backtrack then activate the crystal to open the door to the south. Follow
the path and ignore the door with the green crystal for now. Go straight to
the north past the red crystal to find another chest containing a Zeu's
Wrath. Now backtrack a bit then activate the red crystal. Backtrack once
more then activate the green crystal this time. Continue forth and you'll
find the stairs going down. Go past it and head to the southwest to find
another chest. Open it to get 1000pg. Backtrack to the chest and use to go
to the next floor.

B2
------------------------
First, enter the corridor where the yellow crystal is then activate the
green crystal. This will open the path for you to claim the Birch Bow from
the chest ahead. Activate the green crystal again then activate the yellow
crystal nearby next.

Enter the next corridor then activate the light-blue crystal. Loot the
Hermes Sandals from the chest and activate the light-blue crystal again.
Now backtrack and take the path in the middle. Follow the corridor as it
goes around to the west. Head straight north to find a chest containing an
Ether. Activate the red crystal next then check the southwestern corridor
to find another locked blue chest. Just take note of its location for now
then go upstairs to the northwest.

B1 West
------------------------
Head to the north and loot the chest past the red crystal to get a Turbo
Ether. Activate the red crystal then go through the newly-opened doorway
and find the hidden chest in the deadend. Loot the X-Potion from it then
backtrack to the green crystal.

Activate the green crystal then go south again and activate the yellow
crystal as well. Now go to the corridor to the left but go south instead.
You should be able to access a hidden corridor leading to a Courage Ring in
the southeast corner. Backtrack and head north. Activate the light-blue
crystal afterward. This will give you access to the chest that has a Dark
Charm inside. Activate the light-blue crystal again and go staright ahead.
Head to the west a bit to find the adventurer. Save and prepare your party.
Go upstairs afterward for a scene.

Western Hidden Village
------------------------
The reunion was interrupted by the sudden appearance of two members of the
Council. You'll be engaged in a boss battle afterward.

******************************************
* Victoria                               *
* HP: 60,000 Weakness: Light, FAM: Human *
* -------------------------------------- *
* Victor                                 *
* HP: 60,000 Weakness: Dark, FAM: Human *
******************************************

This battle can't be won. You have to survive for four turns before the
bosses leave. Use default and health consistently.

After they leave, watch the following scenes. Once the scene is done, a new
party chat will become available. (Agnes' Anguish) You now have to awaken
the Water Crystal. Use a Teleport Stone to return to the dungeon entrance
and return to Florem to rest up. When ready, head to the Temple of Water.

#########################################
CH207 ------- TEMPLE OF WATER (AWAKENING)
#########################################

Tip: If you have unlocked the Ranger job class, train one of your
characters to LV7 so that he/she can learn Aquatic Slayer. This ranger
skill will help tremendously with the next boss battle. Also, get some
shields, even for your mages. This won't affect their effectiveness in
casting offensive spells but will give them extra protection.

Once inside the temple, head to the Water Altar and fight the boss waiting
there.

**********************************
* Boss: Rusalka                  *
* HP: 30,000 Weakness: Lightning *
* Absorb: Fire, FAM: Aquatic *
**********************************

Start by using Examine on the boss. This will be very useful once it makes
clones of itselt later on. The boss can use attacks that can lessen your
defense rate at the same time. Watch out for its Seep attack. It will
disappear for one turn and unleash an water-type all-party attack
afterward, which multiple clones. When you see it do this, have your party
go on Default to brace for the incoming attack. These clones are pretty
hardy themselves so it will be better if you concentrate your attacks on
the original then use Special attacks to pummel the original and the
clones. Don't bother removing the clones since Rusalka can replenish them
the next time it uses Seep. Avoid using specials that causes fire damage
since it will just heal Rusalka and its clones. Aside from that, you have
to quickly knock an ally to her senses if ever they've been charmed by the
boss.

After the battle, you'll have to go through the same ritual as you did for
the Wind Crystal. After the sequence, you'll have yet another support
ability slot for your characters.

##########################
CH208 ------- CLEARED SEAS
##########################

Florem
------------------------
You'll be back in Florem. After the scene, a party chat will be available.
(The Pendant). Since the seas have cleared, you have to go back to your
ship. Make preparations then leave the town to journey back east. Go
through the Miasma Woods to reach Ancheim's region then from there, head to
the dock where the Eschalot is waiting.

+----------------------------------------------------------------------+
                          Hresvelgr
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Tip: Before sailing, you can return to the Temple of Wind and talk to
the anchorite of wind, mouthpiece of Hresvelgr in the temple's second
floor. Like Ziusudra's Sin, you have to withstand the attack from
that summon before you gain command of it. You need at least one
party member to survive the attack, in order to complete the
challenge.

To do this, equip the abilities that will increase magic defense and
have that particular character carry a Wind Charm. The higher the
magic defense, the better.
+----------------------------------------------------------------------+

Once done, board the Eschalot and sail westward to the open sea to trigger
some cutscenes.

                         CHAPTER 3: BELOVED BONDS
              ==============================================

#######################
CH301 ------- GRANDSHIP
#######################

Once you're back to the ship, sail to the west towards the mission
objective. Watch the following scenes. Once done, a new party chat will
become available. (A Glamorous Life) Head to the giant ship and dock there.

Grandship - Upper Deck
------------------------
Upon embarking the huge ship, a woman will tell you to look out for a guy
named Zatz. You're free to explore the whole area. First, backtrack to the
right and check the edge south of the exit to find a hidden Antarctic Wind.
Head to the upper level and examine the gate to the right to find 1000pg.
Proceed to the north.

Grandship - Markets
------------------------
After the scene, you can check out the armory to buy a few equipment
upgrades. The magic shop has the same inventory as the one in Florem.
There's a hidden X-Potion right outside the Traders. To continue with the
story, talk to the guy right beside the weapon shop. He will agree to
return back to the Tavern. Head there as well.

The Drunken Pig Tavern
------------------------
Head to the second floor and inspect the seats to the left to find a Flame
Charm. Now head to the west of the tavern and inspect the area near the
pile of wine barrels to get a Bacchus's Wine. Talk to Zatz and the
proprietress for a short scene. You can now leave the ship.

From the Grandship, head further west until you reach the dock marked in
your map.

#######################
CH302 ------- EISENBERG
#######################

House by the Sea
------------------------
You have to talk to Datz if ever you want to return to the ship. Inquire
about him and Zatz, as well as their injuries to unlock another party chat.
(Datz's Name) There's nothing of interest here so exit the house to the
world map.

Once there, you'll have another party chat to view. (The Shoreline Baths)
Follow the shoreline and the trail heading southwest until another set of
scenes are triggered. After the scenes, another party chat can be viewed.
(The Swordmaster's Sting) Once done, continue to the west to reach the
badlands. Head to the bridge where the opposing forces are in stalemate and
enter it.

Eisen Bridge
------------------------
After getting introduced to the commander, a new party chat can be viewed.
(Symbol of the Shieldbearers) Once done, leave the garrison and head
further west to reach the town of the Shieldbearers.

########################
CH303 ------- HARTSCHILD
########################

Once in the city, a new party chat will be available. (Tragedy) There are
new and better equipment you can buy here. The magic shop also sells LV4
White and LV3 Time Magics here. For hidden items, search the barrels in the
alley west of town to get an Elixir. Enter the commander's house for more
cutscenes.

The next day, new party chats can be viewed. (Eleanor's Home Cooking,
Keeping Up with Ringabel) Make your preparations and leave the town. Travel
east back to Eisen Bridge.

Upon talking to Commander Goodman, he'll ask you to travel to Grapp Keep to
scout it. Make your preparations and head to the northeast. A new
sub-scenario will be available at this point. If you want to do that first
(and I recommend that you do so), travel back to the Old House by the
shore. For the complete walkthrough of this sub-scenario, follow the
link provided in the end of this walkthrough's chapter.

When ready, go past the garrison east of Eisen Bridge and follow the trail
to the northeast. You should see the fortress on top of a small hill at the
end of the trail.

########################
CH304 ------- GRAPP KEEP
########################

1F
------------------------
Walk straight ahead to trigger a scene. After that, follow the path west to
find an X-Potion at the end of the path. Next, follow the available path to
the east and pull the lever to open the gate to the immediate west. Go
through that gate and head to the second floor.

2F
------------------------
Open the chest to the south to get 2000pg then pull the lever to the north.
Go downstairs using the stairs to the northwest.

1F
------------------------
Pull another lever here to open yet another gate. Return to the second
floor and backtrack again to the other stairs leading to 1F. Head north to
the newly-opened gate and you'll find two chests inside the next hallway.
One is locked blue chest while the other contains a Turbo Ether. Now take
the stairs north of the keep's exit.

2F
------------------------
This will trigger another apparition to appear. After that, continue north
to find two set of stairs. Go downstairs first. That stairs should give you
access to the enclosed chest in the first floor containing a Glaive. Return
to the second floor and take the stairs to the left to reach the third
floor.

3F
------------------------
You'll see another apparition. Take the path leading southwest and you'll
find a Rebuff Lock. After that, follow the path to the east and south to
trigger another cutscene. After that, continue south until you reach the
ladders going down to 2F. Before going down, enter through the secret
passage to the right of the stairs going south then west to reach a chest
containing an Elixir.

2F
------------------------
Follow the path to the west until you find a lever. Pull it down to open
the gate to the immediate right. Head to the east this time and loot the
chest in the southeast corner to get a Bomb Fragment. Head north and enter
the room to the left to find the last chest in the floor. Loot the
Bacchus's Wine from it. Take go downstairs to the northeast afterward.

1F
------------------------
Finally, pull the lever here to create a shortcut that leads outside the
keep. Now head back to the stairs in the middle of this floor again. Once
in 2F, go south to the newly-opened gate and go to the next floor.

3F
------------------------
Save via the adventurer and prepare for a boss battle. In this battle, you
don't need special preparations. You just need to boost your party's
physical defenses. Once ready, head north and pick up the shining object on
the shelf. A cutscene will trigger and a boss battle afterward.

***************************************************
* Enemy: Automaton x3                             *
* HP: 10,000, Weakness: Lightning, FAM: Inorganic *
***************************************************

Spam Thundara on these enemies and concentrate your single-attacks on a
single-target. Their only means of attack is Rocket Punch that deals damage
to all party members. Just keep constant healing until you win.

After the battle, head back to Eisen Bridge and hand over the sample to
Commander Goodman. After the scene, talk to him again to start another
sub-scenario. Select the third option to proceed with it. For the full
walkthrough of the sub-scenario, follow this link.

##########################
CH305 ------- MYTHRIL MINE
##########################

The garrison west of Eisen Bridge will be opened. Follow the trail leading
to north. The trail will split to the west, where you’ll immediately find
the mine entrance.

B1
------------------------
After the scene, you’ll be thrown in a fight against a Black Axefighter.
He’s weak to lightning and has 3000 HP but that shouldn’t be a problem
to you at this point. You have to find all the canary boys in the mine and
that means you have to fight some of the guards as well.

Go straight to the west to find a guarded chest. Defeat the guard to
release canary boys and for you top loot the chest. Obtain an X-Potion from
it. Head to the southeast corner and defeat a guard to free up two canary
boys. There are another two found at the end of the middle southern path.
Head to the southwest to get and Earth Drum. Head to the middle-west and
defeat another guard to release two more boys. Now take the stairs down in
the middle of the map to proceed deeper in the mine.

B2
------------------------
Head to the east and defeat another guard. Two more canary boys will be
freed. Continue to the northeast to find another guarded chest. Defeating
the guard will free two more boys and give you access to the chest
containing a Turbo Ether. Just south of the adventurer lies another guard.
Defeat him to free two more boys.

There’s a locked blue chest to the northwest and another guard to the
southwest corner. Head to the middle of the map to find a chest containing
1000pg and another guard southeast of the chest. After the kids have been
rescued, save your game through the adventurer to the north and leave the
mines.

Once you’re in the world map, you can go back to Hartschild to heal up or
just venture north. Follow the trail to the north then east around the
mountain range then northwest until you reach the ominous-looking
building.

#######################
CH306 ------- STARKFORT
#######################

Check the space to the left near the exit to find a hidden Earth Drum.
There’s an adventurer and a shop to the eastern side of Starkfort’s
entrance. Upgrade your gear if you need to then find the hidden Stardust
near the ram.

1F
------------------------
The chest to the left of the entrance has 500pg while the other one in the
middle-right has a Hi-Potion. After the scene, you’ll get a new party
chat. (Faltering Foreknowledge) The middle gate is locked so you can either
take the northwest or northeast stairs.

The northwest stairs lead to a sub-scenario where you have to defeat the
Salve-maker Qada while the northeast stairs will lead you to Egil. If you
want to rescue Egil first, then you can take the northwest stairs, grab the
1000pg from the chest and save your game. For details and tips for
defeating Qada, follow the link provided at the end of this
walkthrough's chapter.

2F
------------------------
After taking the northeast stairs, grab the Ice Brand from the chest along
the way and head to the left to find Egil. After meeting him, a new party
chat will be available. (Rescuing Egil) Ignore the other chests in the 2nd
floor since you don’t have any ways of accessing them right now. Head
back to Hartschild.

Hartschild
------------------------
Upon reaching Hartschild, bring the kid to Commander Goodman’s house and
watch the following scene. Chase after Egil; he’s found on the long
stairway west of the inn. After the scenes, the party will spend the night.
The next day, prepare to leave for the mines. Make sure to train at least
two salve-makers (preferably up to LV8) as you’ll need them for the next
major battle. When ready, head back to the lower floor of Mythril Mine.

#######################
CH307 ------- UNDERFLOW
#######################

Make your way to the mine. Before reaching the entrance, you'll find Egil
being chased by some enemies. Defeat them and Egil will tag along. After
the battle, a new party chat will be available. (Airy vs Egil) Enter the
mine. After getting inside, another party chat will be available. (Egil's
Words) Head to B2 and go straight to the north. Approach the door for a
scene. Once Egil opens the door, head to the next area.

1F East
------------------------
You have to be careful of the occassional lava traps on the ground. You can
have someone in your party to temporarily equip the Freelancer Dungeon
Master support ability to avoid getting damaged by these and to make your
progress a lot faster. Deliberately step to one to unlock a new party chat.
(Don't Get Burned)

Head to the far left and when you see a split, go south to find a chest
containing 1000 pg. Continue north until you reach another split. Head to
the far right first until you reach another chest that has a Bomb Arm
inside. Return to the split in the middle north and go down to find another
split. The path leading to the southwest has a Bomb Fragment inside and the
path to the southeast leads to another locked blue chest. Make your way to
the northwest to find the stairs to the next floor.

2F East
------------------------
Once you encounter a split, go south and find the chest to the southeast
containing 2000pg. Backtrack to the main path and continue all the way to
the west. Go south to find a Safety Ring from the chest. Return to the main
path and take the adjacent path south. On the way to the stairs to the next
floor, the party will take a break and a scene will ensue.

3F
------------------------
Head straight north but when the chest is almost at your reach, a part of
the ground will be swallowed up by lava. While exploring the area, Egil
will get tired again and you'll have a short rest. Once done, collect all
the three chests in the area. The southern chest contains an X-Potion, the
middle one has a Flame Charm while the chest to the northeast has a Turbo
Ether. Use the stairs in the northwest corner to reach the next floor.

2F West
------------------------
Like before, some of the paths in this floor will sink to the lava and
you'll have to find a way around. This is a rather large map with long
streches of lava traps so tread carefully if you don't have the Dungeon
Master ability. The chest to the southeast has a Diamond Staff, the chest
northwest of it has a Flare Hatchet and the chest to the northwest has a
Gale Bow. After collecting the weapons, find the stairs to the southwest
and head to the next floor.

1F West
------------------------
Head to the left for a scene. The earthquake will clear up the boulders
you've encountered before and open up a shortcut to the southeast leading
back to the Mythril Mine entrance. Go there first and save your game.
Return to Underflow 1F West then head north to reach the Temple of Fire.

############################
CH308 ------- TEMPLE OF FIRE
############################

Start by opening the chest to the west that contains a Flametongue. The
temple has the same layout as the Water Temple so you can go ahead and
collect the items first while inspecting the empty rooms to view some
scenes. There's also the anchorite of fire, mouthpiece of Promethean Fire
in a small room to the southeast.

+----------------------------------------------------------------------+
                           Promethean Fire
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You should know the drill already; equip your character with
accessories and abilities that can resist fire damage like the Flame
Charm you acquired earlier or the Black Mage support ability Abate
Fire. There's also an Iceflame Shield that you can get from the chest
beside the anchorite. This nifty equipment will make you immune
against fire and water damage. Make sure to save your game first
before attempting the challenge.
+----------------------------------------------------------------------+

The chest to the southeast corner of the temple has the Iceflame Shield,
the two to the northeast contains an X-Potion and Turbo Ether. The last
chest is a hidden one located behind the walls to the west. Follow the
hidden passage to get an Elixir.

Make sure everybody's healed. You need to have at least one salve-maker,
preferably with white or black/white support in your party. His/her Healing
Lore, Compounding and Widen Area skills will be pretty useful in the
upcoming battle. Save your game again and enter the altar.

**********************************************
* Boss: Chaugmar                             *
* HP: 40,000 Weakness: Lightning, FAM: Demon *
**********************************************

Chaugnar has move that will steal HP, MP and even BP. That said, it will be
risky to stack up BP like you normally do with the other bosses. When it is
covered with energy, it will be resistant against any type of damage, even
when hit by its elemental weakness. This is where you have to compound
items or use the attack items as is. Like the other bosses, you have to use
Default once you see it has positive BP. Play defensively when it is in its
invulnerable state and heal up any damage you immediately receive.

Hopefully, your stacked BP won't be stolen during the boss' previous
attack; use the stacked BP to executive extra actions while the boss is in
vulnerable state. Be careful of its Energy Burst as it can knock out
several characters at once. If not, your characters will have critical HP.
With the salve-maker's Healing Lore and Widen Area, you can use an X-Potion
to heal 3000 HP to all your characters. Same goes with Phoenix Down that
can resurrect multiple characters. Since the boss has the tendency to drain
your MP, an Ether deployed by the salve-maker's Widen Area is very
effective and efficient. Your current White Magic spells won't be able to
match these potent recovery options at this point.

After the battle, you'll receive a Reflect Ring. You'll now have to perform
the same ritual to awaken the Fire Crystal. Your ability cost limit will
also increase by one after the ritual. Once done, leave the temple and use
the shortcut to return to the Mythril Mine. You now have to report to
Commander Goodman in the Eisen Bridge. There's also a new sub-scenario
available in Starkfort. Refer to the links at the end of the chapter of
this walkthrough.

After reporting to the captain, return to Hartschild. After arriving to
town, bring Egil to the Goodmans. After the scene, a new party chat will be
available (Wary Airy) Rest at the inn and leave the town. Your next
destination is in Grandship.

############################
CH309 ------- EGIL'S JOURNEY
############################

Go back to the Eschalot and sail to Grandship. Enter the tavern and talk to
the guy in the northwestern table. Next, travel back to Caldisla and head
to the inn. After the scenes, head back to Hartschild and go to the
Goodmans' home. After the scene, a party chat will be available. (Tiz's
Thoughts) Leave the town again and travel to Caldisla again. Head to the
castle and talk to the King.

After the scenes, your next destination will be Grandship. However,
there's another sub-scenario that's available in Hartschild. Go there first
if you want to unlock a new useful asterisk. For details, follow this
link at the end of the chapter of this walkthrough.

#################################
CH310 ------- A LEAD IN GRANDSHIP
#################################

Head to the tavern for a scene. After that, leave the tavern and head north
to the next screen. Continue further north to reach the ship's Bridge.
There's a hidden Zeus' Wrath in the gondola to the leftmost side of the
bridge and a Turbo Ether under the large telescope. Leave the ship and
travel back to Caldisla. Head to the inn and receive the orichalcum from
Egil.

Return to the ship and head to the ship's bridge again and open the door. A
new party chat will be available after the scene (Zatz's Name) Enter the
engine room afterward.

Engine Room - B27
------------------------
Follow the path the right then head south. Ignore the stairs to the
southeast for now then continue to the left. Get the 1000pg from the chest
in the middle and continue to the left. Upon reaching the stairs, open the
chest to the north to get an Antarctic Wind. Go downstairs next.

B28
------------------------
Go to the right to find a Turbo Ether. Make your way north and loot the
chest to the northwest to get a Gold Hourglass. Follow the path southeast
to reach another set of stairs. In the next floor, you should have access
to a lever. Pull it down to operate the gears on the left side of the lift.

Backtrack all the way to B27's main area. From there, go back to the east
and take the southeastern stairs.

B28
------------------------
Head north and don't take the stairs yet. Grab the Cross Axe from the chest
in the adjacent corridor and 2000pg from the chest to the northwest. Go
downstairs afterward.

B29
------------------------
There's a locked blue chest to the south of the stairs so take note of it
for now. Continue south to find a chest containing a Trident. Backtrack to
the northn then go left a bit. Enter the short corridor south and you'll
find a Hammer Mace. Follow the main path to the west then south. Grab the
Raikiri from the chest to the southwest and the Bacchus Wine from the chest
in the dead end north of the southern stairs.

Once done, go upstairs to B28. Go straight up and take the stairs leading
to B27 where the other lever is located. Pull it to fully activate the
lift. Now backtrack to the main area and use the lift.

Engine Room Core
------------------------
After getting off the lift, take the corridor to the left first to find a
chest. Loot an Arctic Wind from it then take the other path. Go south then
west. Halfway to the corridor lies a hidden path that leads to a Mega
Elixir to the southwest. Continue along the western corridor to find a
chest behind some overhead gears to the northwest. Get a Barrier Shroud
from it. Return to the adventurer and save your game.

Before heading to the next boss battle, have your mages equip a White Cape
or Silence Immunity support. If you can also have everybody wear Poison
Immunity, that will do as well. Having a salve-maker as a job command will
also help so you can use Widen Area to distribute healing and recovery
items. If you have the ninja job, it will help having that charater learn
Utsusemi and Comeback Kid. For your physical attackers, it will help giving
them BP Recovery from the Red Mage job class. This will allow them to
recover 2BP when inflicted by a status ailment.

The next boss also deals physical damage so it will help boosting your
party's P.Def rating. The boss is an Aquatic with weakness to Lightning so
you can further increase your damage output by using the Ranger's Aquatic
Killer or Sword Magic Thundara. When ready, head to the central platform
and examine it.

**********************************************
* Boss: Behemoth                             *
* HP:80,000 Weakness: Lightning, FAM: Aquatic*
**********************************************

The boss has Roar that can cause silence to all characters. Your physical
attackers don't need to be rid of this status ailment; however, if you have
BP Recovery equipped on them, they'll recover much needed BP to be used for
offense. You can heal them so if the boss uses Roar again and inflicts
silence, they'll be recover BP again. You only need to protect your
spellcasters by having silence immunity.

The Behemoth's Venomous Bite deals heavy damage and causes poison but that
will help your characters with BP Recovery. Keep everyone healed up. A
two-handed swordmaster or valkyrie or a ninja with ranger or sword magic
job commands will be a tremendous help in dealing insane amounts of damage.
After the battle, watch the following scenes. You'll now have the oversized
Grandship as your new airship. A new menu will be available in the lower
screen as well. After the scene, new party chats will be available. (Ain't
That the Truth, The Ice of Eternia)

                       CHAPTER 4: BLACK AND WHITE
              ==============================================

###############################
CH401 ------- FROSTPEAK PASSAGE
###############################

Fly to Eternia to trigger a scene. Land where the Grandship is floating to
continue the story. Since the gate is closed, you have to go around the
path. You should already see a giant waiting along the way. You don't have
any choice but to fight it. Don't forget to change your support abilities
and heal up. Save your game before proceeding. It will help equipping your
characters with Abate Water support abilities or Ice Charm accessories.
Approach the giant to start a battle.

******************************************
* Boss: Ice Golem                        *
* HP:60,000 Weakness: Fire, FAM: Aquatic *
******************************************

The boss can only use physical attacks so a swordsmaster and a ninja can
exploit this to their advantage. Blizzard Blast deals water damage to the
whole party but this shouldn't be a problem when you have abilities /
accessories that resist them. Freezing Punch deals heavy water damage to a
single character and has the chance to inflict Stop status. Pummel the
enemy with heavy Fira sword magic using a swordmaster, ninja or valkyrie or
heavy Fira black magic until the enemy is defeated.

After the battle, save your game and continue to the city.

#####################
CH402 ------- ETERNIA
#####################

Rest at the inn and spend your hard-earned money to buy some new scrolls
and equipment for your party. You have to head to the central healing tower
to the north. Before going there, head to the east and search the alley
behind the house until you get the prompt to "inspect". You'll get a
hidden Arctic Wind from it. Now check another space behind the shops and to
the left of the healing tower's entrance. There's a hidden Elixir there.
Enter the healing tower to proceed with the story.

Inside the healing tower, go upstairs to continue with the story. Once
done, a new party chat will be available (Three Passages to Central
Command) Leave Eternia through the western exit and you'll be back in the
world map.

As Edea explained, there are three paths leading to Central Command. The
shortest is the central path where a mini-boss is blocking the path. This
is supposedly the hardest. The boss is challenging enough; not to mention
the nearby cannons will provide regular shots that will take a good chunk
of your party's HP.

Central Path
------------------------

**************************************************
* Boss: Guardian                                 *
* HP: 90,000 Weakness: Lightning, FAM: Inorganic *
**************************************************

It will help a lot setting up at the start of the battle by buffing
yourselves and storing up BP's. Don't go negative BP s in the battle
especially if you'll need extra actions to heal up. As much as possible, it
will greatly help if you have LV5 White Magic to assist you. Angelic Ward
can also help minimizing the damage you receive.

The Guardian uses Rocket Punch as its main attack. Optical Camouflage
increases this enemy's evasion. As you attack, the nearby cannons and
artillery will deal heavy damage to your party as well so keep everyone
healed up. The guardian will remove its limiter to increase its p.atk and
p.def ratings so be careful not to be caught off guard with its attacks.
After a few turns, it will recess its limiter, bringing it back to its
default stats. Use this chance to attack it.

Before moving forth, you can return back to the city and rest up.

Western Path
------------------------

This is a longer path than the central one and there's a mini-boss waiting
at the end as well. There's an off-road further to the west as well that
leads to the Vampire Castle. You can't enter it for now so just take note
of it for now.

********************************************************
* Dragon Zombie                                        *
* HP: 25,000, Weakness: Fire, Light FAM: Undead Dragon *
********************************************************

Don't be intimidated by its enormous size. This dragon has a much lower HP
and multiple weaknesses. Aside from black magic and deliberately healing
it, you can also deal massive damage using the ranger's Dragon Slayer or
Undead Slayer skill. It primarily uses Poison Breath that will deal damage
and poison everybody as well as Bite, a single-target attack but deals
considerable damage nevertheless. After defeating it once, it will rise up
again with full HP so use the same tactics and keep your party healthy
until it goes down again.

You'll get a Dark Matter and Elixir after the battle. Before moving forth,
you can return back to the city and rest up.

Eastern Path
------------------------
This path is the longest but at least you don't have to face any mini-boss.
If you're taking this path, I suggest turning off the random battles since
you'll need to be in full health before entering the Central Command.
There’s a split in the road further east, leading to Gravemark Village.
There, you’ll get more entries to your Encyclopedia, especially around
the topic regarding the Great Plague. There are also two hidden items in
the village, search the second gravestone southeast of the hut to get a
Light Curtain. Examine one of the gravestone markers near the exit of the
village to find a hidden Ice Charm.

Before entering Central Command, equip your characters with Poison Immunity
ability or similar accessories. Alternately, you can also equip your
characters with Safety Rings to prevent the Death status effect. Head
inside to trigger a scene.

######################################
CH403 ------- ETERNIAN CENTRAL COMMAND
######################################

After the scene, enter the building. Save via the adventurer then head to
the corridor to the right. Enter the next door for another scene.

******************************************
* Victoria                               *
* HP: 70,000 Weakness: Light, FAM: Human *
* -------------------------------------- *
* Victor                                 *
* HP: 80,000 Weakness: Dark, FAM: Human *
******************************************

Target Victoria first since she can cast Poison to your characters then use
Exterminate as a follow-up attack. The latter will deal heavy damage to any
poisoned characters but will miss as long as no one is poisoned in your
party. Her Dark attack can be resisted by having high M. Def stats. Victor
will use Holy as a counterpart of Victoria's dark attack. Victoria can also
cast Doom which will cause the inflicted character to faint in 4 turns.
Victor's Fairy's Aid will increase the power of elemental attacks and heal
using Curada. If you have a Performer job command, it will be a good idea
to use your various buffs often. Just concentrate your attacks on Victoria
since she's doing most of the offensive damage. Once she's down, Victor
will become a total pushover.

Aside from the Poison Rod and Yggdrasil Staff you can steal from the two,
you'll also get Force Armlets and Amulet after the battle. You'll receive
the arcanist and spiritmaster asterisks. After the battle, you'll have a
new party chat as well (Let's Hurry) Return to the previous room and save
your game. If your path back to Eternia is safe, you can walk there and
heal up - even train your characters with their new jobs.

If you're ready to continue, head to the room in the middle and watch the
following scenes.

Grand Marshal's Daughter's Room
------------------------
Edea will be alone for now. There are no hidden items in the room, just an
option for you to sleep. Head to the door to proceed with the story. After
the scenes, you'll be in the prison.

Central Command Prison B2
------------------------
Once in control, a new party chat will be available (Four Birds in a Cage)
Your party members are kept on different cells. You can retrieve them in
any order. The closest one is Agnes; just go down and you'll find her
inside a cell to the right. There's a chest containing a Light Curtain
south of Agnes' cell.

You'll find Tiz inside the cell to the south. After he rejoins your party,
you'll be able to view another party chat. (Glad You're Alright, Tiz)
There's 5000pg in a chest to the west of Tiz's cell. Further west lies the
stairs. Don't go up yet but instead, go through the hidden passage
southeast of the stairs and follow it until you reach the chest inside the
locked cell to the right. Obtain the Excalibur from the chest, then head
north.

You can get an X-Potion from the chest to the northwest and 3000pg from the
chest in the middle. Finally, talk to Ringabel to free him. After freeing
Ringabel, another party chat will be available. (Glad You're Alright,
Ringabel) Once you've opened all the chests and got the party together,
take the stairs to the southwest.

Central Command Prison B1
------------------------
Head north and grab the Light Charm along the way. This floor has a
maze-like structure. After getting the light-charm, head all the way to the
right to get an X-Potion. Next, backtrack a bit then go south on the first
corridor that should lead you to a dead-end with the chest that has a
Dragon Fang.

Follow the main path and find the chest to the northeast near the mission
marker. Open it to get a Zeus' Wrath. Make your way to the southeast to
find another chest that has a Bacchus's Wine inside. Now head north towards
the gate for another scene. Once done, go upstairs.

Central Command 1F
------------------------
Make your way to the southeast to reach the area's entrance. Save your game
and head to the northwest first. You'll find a chest there containing a
Pantheon's Wrath. The door west leads to the world map so ignore it for
now. You can use the open space there to land your airship just in case you
want to make a return trip to Central Command later in the game. Make your
way to the mission marker to the northeast then ride the lift to proceed.

Central Command 47F
------------------------
After the scenes, you'll reach 47F. Head to the southwest to reach the
center of the room then go to the southeast. Head to the north to find a
chest in the dead-end. Loot the Gold Hourglass from it. Follow the path to
the southwest to find another chest containing a Lilith's Kiss. Backtrack
to the middle of the floor then head northwest this time. The last chest in
the floor is due north and it contains a Turbo Ether. Make your way to the
southwest this time to find the stairs.

Central Command 48F
------------------------
Edea's room is found in the northeast corner of the map. Enter it for a
scene and to rest up in case you're exploring the area with random
encounters on. There's a locked blue chest located southwest of Edea's
room. Just take note of its location for now and loot the other chests in
the floor. You can find an Assassin's Dagger to the south and Divine Fists
in a small room to the southwest. Once done, follow the corridor south of
Edea's room then take the stairs to the next floor. A scene will be
triggered as well.

Central Command 49F
------------------------
Follow the straightfoward corridors until you get the access the doorway to
the west that leads to a staircase in the northwest. Go downstairs to
retrieve the Holy Lance from the chest in the lower floor. Go back up and
head all the way to the end of the corridor to find a Stardust. Backtrack
to the main path and return to the inner corridors. Once you've reached the
middle, open the chest on the right-side of the lift to get an Elixir.
Prepare your party for the upcoming boss battle. The next boss is mainly a
physical attacker so concentrate on boosting your party's P.Def stats and
use excellent physical job classes like ninjas and swordmasters. Once
ready, ride the elevator. After the scene, the battle will ensue.

*****************************************
* Boss: Breav the Templar *
* HP: 35,000 Weakness: Dark, FAM: Human *
*****************************************

Breav will stack up his BP and use it to unleash powerful attacks all at
once. This will also make him sturdier against multiple attacks. The
swordmaster's Squeaky Wheel should work well in keeping his BP down, at a
cost of your own. If you have a spiritmaster in your team, use Stillness to
stall Breav's attacks and allow you to cast your buffs and debuffs. A
performer's party-buffs can be perfect for this as well. You can also use
moves that bypass Default defense buffs

Heart Strike always deals critical damage, Giant Slayer deals a ton of
damage and Radiant Strike is a light-based attack that deals ranged damage.
You have to defeat him a total of three times since Breav will fully
restore his HP twice upon defeat.

After defeating him, you'll get the Templar asterisk. You're now free to
head to Everlast Tower. A new party chat will become available as well.
(Let's Press On) Since you're also back in Central Command's first floor,
you can walk back to Eternia and rest up before moving on. At this point,
you can now also take on a new sub-scenario; however, you'll need an
airship to the tasks needed so just proceed with your mission to the
Everlast Tower. Refer to this link for details.

Exit the Central Command to the world map and continue following the path
until you reach the tower in the east.

############################
CH404 ------- EVERLAST TOWER
############################

1F
The path to the east only leads outside so ignore it for now. Go upstairs.

2F
Head south to pick up a Turbo Ether. Next, go downstairs to the southeast
to access the chest containing an Ancient Bow in the first floor. Backtrack
to the second floor and take the stairs north (2F's middle-eastern stairs)
this time. You'll be in the enclosed area in 3F that has a Kiku-Ichimonji
at the end. Backtrack again to the second floor.

Head to the northwest this time and pick up the X-Potion from the chest
along the way. The stairs in this floor's northwest and northeast corners
are connected in 1F so you can take either of them. Since you're nearest to
the northwest corner, take that stairs.

1F
From the northwest stairs, head to the east and go through the window to
access a hidden passage leading to a chest containing a Rune Blade. Head
southwest and take the westernmost corridor to find a Turbo Ether. There's
also an Earth Drum near the northeastern stairs in this floor. Make your
way to the stairs in the southwest corner then go up.

2F
Head to the east to find the anchorite of bolts, mouthpiece of Deus Ex.

Deus Ex
This is a lightning-based summon so equip one character with Thunder Charm
or Abate Lightning (Summoner JLV 2) The latter is preferred since you can
use the accessory slot for something else, like Force Armlets, Mage Shell
or Barrier Shroud. Get his/her magic defense as high as you can and make
sure you have high HP. Don't bother using the Reflect Ring since summon
magic can't be blocked by Reflect.

After getting the summon, take the stairs to 3F.

3F
There's a locked blue chest in the middle-north of the floor and an Elixir
in a chest in the dead-end to the south. To proceed, go upstairs using the
one in the middle of the map.

4F
There are three chests in the area. The stairs in the middle is the correct
way so ignore it until you collect all the treasure chests. To the west you
can get a Dark Shield, to the southwest corner you'll get a Dragon Fang and
the chest to the east has a Gold Hourglass. Once done looting them, go
downstairs using the stairs in the middle.

You'll be back in 3F, continue to the next stairs to back to 4F again. Head
all the way to the west and take the stairs to reach the temple's main
floor.

#############################
CH405 ------- TEMPLE OF EARTH
#############################

There are no hidden chests here. The floor has the same layout as the other
temples and you can inspect the empty rooms to view some short articles
that will give more insight about the story. There's an Earth Charm in the
southeastern corridor, an Earth Mallet in the northeastern room and a Light
Curtain from the narrow corridor heading south. Make your preparations and
save your game.

Have everyone equip Earth Charm and Abate Earth (Swordmaster JLV 2). The
boss is weak against Light and has the Undead Type, which means LV5 white
healing magic Curada can be used against it. Curada recovers a lot more HP
if you have the Holy One (Spiritmaster JLV9) and Healing Lore (Salve-Maker
JLV9) equipped on your healer.

If you also have the JLV 10 Ranger skill Undead Slayer, you can use it to
your advantage as well. If you followed this walkthrough, you should have
access to a few weapons that deal Light-based damage. You should have
Excalibur, Divine Fists and Holy Lance.

*******************************************
* Boss: Gigas Lich                        *
* HP: 80,000 Weakness: Light, FAM: Undead *
*******************************************

Gigas' Slam deals a lot of damage to everyone while it can use Quaga to
deal high earth damage to a single target. Gigas can also use this move on
himself to recover a bit of HP. It will use Negative Power to boost its
p.attack and m.attack stats. You can use dispel to remove this boost. It
will also use Fear to inflict the dread status and can also use Death to
instantly take out your characters.

You can steal Giant Gloves and another Giant Axe. After the battle, you'll
receive a Giant Axe. Like the other cyrstals, you have to go through the
ritual to awaken the Earth Crystal. With the last cyrstal awakened, your
support ability will be increased to one again. Use a teleport crystal to
go back to the first floor. Exit the tower through the east to find
yourself in an open spot where you can call in the airship.

Since you can call in the airship already, you can start collecting the
keystones for the Vampire Castle sub-scenario if you want. Refer to the
the link below for details.

#############################
CH406 ------- THE HOLY PILLAR
#############################

Head to the pillar of light located in the southeast corner of the map.
Before heading in, you're advised to do whatever you need to do before
heading inside. Proceed when ready. Watch the following scenes. You'll have
to fight another boss before this chapter ends.

Boss: Alternis Dim
HP: 110,000 Weakness: None, FAM: Human

Alternis Dim's Black Bane deals medium dark damage to all party members
while Dark Bane deals damage to a single target. If one of them has the
dark shield equipped, he/she will be immune against this attack. This
battle shouldn't be that hard since Alternis will keep using Dark Bane.
Don't keep anybody in low HP since he can use Minus Strike to deal more
damage. Aside from those attacks and the constant chatter, you don't have
to apply any special tactics in defeating him.

After the battle, you'll get the Dark Knight asterisk. Watch the following
scenes.

                       CHAPTER 5: YESTERDAY'S SCENERY
              ==============================================

After the scenes, Tiz will be alone for now. Alternis' Journal will also be
added to the lower screen menu if you want to read some of his entries.
Leave the city and head to Norende Ravine. Make your way to the great chasm
to continue with the story. Agnes will re-join the party again. A new party
chat will be available as well. (A Recent Genesis) Leave the Ravine and
head back to the city.

Next, talk to Ringabel past the burned house east of the inn. After the
conversation, he’ll join the party again and open up another party chat.
(The Two Journals) Next, find Edea along the way leading to the cemetery.
Talk to her and she’ll join the party again. Another party chat will be
unlocked. (The Two of You) Now you can return back to the inn for another
scene. Here you’ll meet Datz and discover that him, Zatz and the
prorietress are on board the Grandship with all their memories intact.

You now have to awaken the four crystals again. Take note that the bosses
will be stronger as well as the enemies in the field. Aside from the beasts
that corrupt the crystals, you can fight most of the other optional bosses
(asterisk-bearers) by finding them in the locations you have found them.
Their locations will also appear as blue markers on the map. Refer to the
link below for any updated strategies against them. Aside from that, the
game will tell you that you can now surpass 9999 damage and store more
than 9999 HP by utilizing Bravely Second.

+------------------------------------------------------------------------+
Tip: The roads outside Eternia now have different enemies. The enemies
called Frosti are the equivalents of Mandragora which can be farmed for
good experience and JP points. If you have a Growth Egg equipped, you
can even gain twice the EXP and JP on top the bonuses you'll get.
+------------------------------------------------------------------------+

Once in control of the Grandship, more party chats will be available.
(Naval Attachment, Ringabel’s Sleep Talk) You can now proceed with the
battles as you please.

*******************************************************

This battle will be easier by equipping Iceflame Shields to your
characters, especially your healer(s). You can steal one from Heinkel or
from the Kobold Slashers in Caldisla overworld map. If you don’t have
enough shields, you can rely on a spirit master since his/her skills will
allow you to block or mitigate much of the fire and water damage from these
bosses. They can still deal heavy damage with Deep Freeze or Hellfire, as
well as Blazzard and their Bite and Flaming Fangs. It will be a good idea
to stack up BP by defaulting and attacking all at once. Just heal up
whenever necessary.

After defeating the beast, you’ll have to perform the Rite of Awakening
again. After that, another party chat will be available. (Inevitability)
Leave the temple and head to the next one.

* HP: 60,000 Weakness: Lightning, Absorb: Fire, FAM: Aquatic *
**************************************************************

Rusalka is still weak to lightning and can be exploited with the Hunter’s
Aquatic Slayer. However, its clones will have more HP. It is important to
Examine Rusalka at the start of the battle so that you can keep track of it
once it replicates itself. The Iceflame Shield will still provide water
immunity here against its Seep + Dark Flow and Aqua Regia attacks, and you
should have your main attacker or healer equip an accessory that will
provide charm immunity to keep them in the game. If you have a Summoner,
you can deal even greater damage using Deus Ex. After taking out the
original, clean up the remaining clones to finish the battle.

After defeating Rusalka, you have to awaken the Water Crystal again. After
the Rite, Agnes‘ vestal garb will be in tatters; which will prompt the
group to visit Yulyana Woods Needleworks.

#################################
CH503 ------- YULYANA NEEDLEWORKS
#################################

+------------------------------------------------------------------------+
Tip: After clearing the Temple of Water and cleansing the seas once
more, you can visit this world’s version of Grandship. If you have
defeated Praline in Eisen Bridge earlier, you can see her performing in
the ship’s tavern. You can also unlock a new party chat after viewing
the scene at the tavern. (The Sea Slug) You can also fight Barbarossa
again in the SS Funky Francisca by entering the fog in the seas around
Grandship.
+------------------------------------------------------------------------+

Head to the Yulyana Woods Needleworks to meet up with the Sage. He will
tell Agnes to head to the Vestment Cave southwest from his place and that
she can only bring the ally she trusts the most. After the scenes, Agnes
will bring Tiz along.

Leave the Needleworks and proceed to the Vestment Cave. Make your way to
B3. Approach the Sage to continue with the story. After getting Agnes'
vestal garb repaired, use a teleport stone to return to the entrance to
regroup with Edea and Ringable. After regrouping, a new party chat will be
available. (Ringabel's Tears) You can then resume awakening the two
remaining crystals.

############################
CH504 ------- TEMPLE OF FIRE
############################

******************************************************
* Chaugmar                                           *
* HP: 70,000 Weakness: Lightning, FAM: Demon *
******************************************************

Chaugnar has move that will steal HP, MP and even BP. That said, it will be
risky to stack up BP like you normally do with the other bosses. When it is
covered with energy, it will be resistant against any type of damage, even
when hit by its elemental weakness. This is where you have to compound
items or use the attack items as is. Like the other bosses, you have to use
Default once you see it has positive BP. Play defensively when it is in its
invulnerable state and heal up any damage you immediately receive.

Since you have access to more skills at this point, you have to put them to
good use. Defensive skills like the Templar's Rampart or Spiritmaster's
Stillness should protect you from the heavy damage of Energy Burst. You can
also equip the Vampire job class' Absorb P.Damage to help you recover some
of the damage.

Having a healer with Healing Lore or Holy One will allow you to heal your
party much effectively. Hopefully, your stacked BP won't be stolen during
the boss' previous attack; use the stacked BP to executive extra actions
while the boss is in vulnerable state. Be careful of its Energy Burst as it
can knock out several characters at once. If not, your characters will have
critical HP. With the salve-maker's Healing Lore and Widen Area, you can
use an X-Potion to heal 3000 HP to all your characters. Same goes with
Phoenix Down that can resurrect multiple characters.

Since the boss has the tendency to drain your MP, an Ether deployed by the
salve-maker's Widen Area is very effective and efficient. The Salve-maker's
Auto-Phoenix ability will also help a lot in instantly reviving downed
characters.

After awakening the Fire Crystal, you can view a new party chat.
(Unfathomable) You can also now have a rematch against Kamiizumi in
Starkfort. You can also visit the Goodman Residence in Hartschild to open a
new party chat (Shopping in Hartschild) and to trigger the event to fight
Kikyo. You can just need to leave the commander's house and enter again.
More details about these bosses are found in the link below.

This world's version of Gigas has increased stats and can cast Death. Make
sure to equip your characters with Safety Rings to give them immunity
against this. If you don't have enough Safety Rings, you can rely on the
salve-maker's Auto-Phoenix or Widen Area + Phoenix Down skills and the
vampire's Rise from the Dead skill.

Gigas' Slam deals a lot of damage to everyone while it can use Quaga to

              ==============================================
CHAPTER 6: A WORLD OF ECHOES: EQUAL
              ==============================================

You'll start the chapter again in the Caldislan Inn. After the scenes,
you'll have to awaken the crystals again. A new party chat will be
available (Nothing Brave About an Empty Stomach) and black glowing object
on the floor to the right. Pick it up to receive a Chest Key. This will
allow you to open the blocked blue chests. For a complete list of all the
locked blue chests you've found so far, refer to the link below:

http://www.supercheats.com/bravely-default/walkthrough/locked-chests

Inside the Grandship's tavern, there's a fox in front of the bulletin board
that will enable you to change the names of your characters. Next, check
out the ship's market place to purchase some LV6 Black, White and Time
Magics. When you're ready to leave, return to the ship's bridge and take
the wheel.

During this chapter, you can intentionally break the crystals by repeatedly
pressing X and ignoring Airy's que. Ignore the following warnings and keep
doing it until the crystal is destroyed. Doing so will end the game
abruptly. You can also fight the same optional bosses that you fought
during last chapter.

You can battle most of the asterisk bearers again in this chapter. The
strategies against them pretty much stay the same, and the main difference
is that some of them have much higher HP than the previous chapter.
You’ll also find some interesting new scenes and party chats after
defeating them. You can check the link below for more information:

http://www.supercheats.com/bravely-default/walkthrough/boss-rematch-battles

The beasts guarding the crystals will be as strong as the last chapter so
you just need to apply the same strategies you used before.

you can deal even greater damage using Deus Ex.

Auto-Phoenix ability will also help a lot in instantly reviving downed
characters.

Gigas' Slam deals a lot of damage to everyone while it can use Quaga to
deal high earth damage to a single target. Gigas can also use this move on
himself to recover a bit of HP. It will use Negative Power to boost its
p.attack and m.attack stats. You can use dispel to remove this boost. It
will also use Fear to inflict the dread status.
After defeating Gigas and awakening the crystal, the pillar of light will
appear again. Head to fight Alternis once again.

CH605 ------- YULYANA NEEDLEWORKS / VESTMENT CAVE
#################################################

After awakening the third crystal, you have to consult the Sage again. Head
to Yulyana Needleworks and make your way to the Vestment cave after talking
to the sage. Agnes and Tiz will be alone again so make your way to the
lowest level of the cave to find the Sage. After some new plot-revealing
information, exit the cave to regroup with your other party members. A new
sub-scenario will be available as well. Refer to the link below for details.

After doing the sub-scenario, head out and awaken the last crystal. The
same pillar of light will appear in the same location. Fly towards it and
enter it again. This time, you don't have to face Alternis Dim anymore.
Watch the following scenes until the chapter ends.

CHAPTER 7: A WORLD OF ECHOES: DASH
              ==============================================

You'll wake up again in the Caldisla Inn. After the conversation, a new
party chat will be available. (Get This Over With) You have to awaken the
four crystals again and you'll have more sub-scenario markers in the map.
You can fight the other asterisk bearers again but they'll be in groups.
Refer to this link to know how to prepare and win against these fights.

You'll also get some new party chats after awakening each crystal:

1st crystal: "Rest for the Weary"
2nd: "Time for a Rest"
3rd: "Next Time"
4th: "The Fourth Time"

Once done, head to the Pillar of Light to the southeast of the overworld
map again to continue with the story and end the chapter.

* Airy                                 *
* HP: 150,000 Weakness: Fire, FAM: Bug *
****************************************

Airy can use Tight Bind to stop multiple characters. Later on, she will
also use Spike Guard which will enable her to counterattack with high
damage. Fortunately she'll release this guard after a few turns. She can
also use Slaughter which can damage everyone else and inflict poison. She
will then follow up with Poison Punisher which deals heavy damage to any
poisoned characters. Using Defang will lessen her counterattack damage and
the spiritmaster's Fairy Ward can protect your team from status effects for
five turns. Keep attacking until she's critically wounded. She will then
assume her second form.

****************************************
* Airy                                 *
* HP: 99,999 Weakness: Fire, FAM: Bug *
****************************************

She can cast Luxuria which can Charm multiple members of your party.
Quickly heal it and use Fairy Ward. She can deal medium Earth damage to
everyone using Quaga and heavy fire damage via Flare. It will help boosting
your party's Magic Defense and use Skull Bash on her. Airy will be able to
fully heal herself back to full health once in the battle so don't go under
negative BP unless you're really sure that you can take her out within the
turn. After that, she can heal herself for around 5000 HP a turn.

She can also make everyone weak against all elements so it is better to
play it defensively while keep attacking her every turn. The Spiritmaster's
Enigma can be a good counter-move against this status ailment for four
turns. It will help casting Reflect to at least one of your allies to
ensure that some of the spells are reflected back to her. Just keep healing
every turn and keep your buffs and debuffs rolling as the situation
changes.

After the battle, a new party chat will be available. (Grandship). Tiz will
be alone for now. Head to the deck and talk to Edea. Next, head to the
tavern and talk to Agnes on the upper floor. Return to the bridge next to
continue with the story.

You'll be in control of the Grandship again and you'll have to see the
sage. A new party chat will become available as well. (Alternis's Memory)
Travel to Yulyana Woods Needleworks to meet up with the Sage. After the
scenes, you can now go to Norende Ravine. Viewing these scenes will also
allow you to enter the optional dungeon in the game, Dimension's Hasp.

http://www.supercheats.com/bravely-default/walkthrough/dimensions-hasp

When you're ready to continue with the story, enter Norende Ravine and make
your way to the chasm. Upon reaching the cliff, a new party chat is
available. (Once This is All Done) Step in the magic circle to be
transported to the Dark Aurora.

#########################
CH902 ------- DARK AURORA
#########################

1F
Follow the path and loot the chest for a Safety Ring along the way. Keep
heading west past another magic circle until you find a chest with a
Megalixir inside. Step on the magic circle next.

2F
There are two chests on both sides in the middle of the area containing a
Life Chest and Lamia's Tiara. There's another one to the southwest
containing a Black Belt. Hop in the magic circle again to the south to
continue.

3F
There are two chests waiting along the path. Loot the Megalixir and Heart
Ring from them and follow the path east. There are two magic circles in
this floor. Enter the one on the middle to access the isolated chest in 6F
containing a Blood Blade. Return to the previous floor and enter the magic
circle in the middle-south.

6F
Continue all the way south to find a chest. Loot the Lordly Robes from it
and enter the magic circle.

4F
Go to the right to find a chest. Get a Gold Hairpin from it then continue
to the southwest. Follow the winding path going east then open the chest to
the southeast containing a Ribbon. (This equipment makes the wearer immune
to almost all status ailments – including instant K.O's from certain
moves. Equip it to your main healer) Continue to the northeast next and
enter the magic circle.

6F
There are three magic circles you can enter in this floor. The middle one
leads to the story while the other both two lead to 5F. Enter any of them
first.

5F
Loot the three chests in the area containing a Brave Suit, Lilith's Rod,
and Aegis Shield. Return to 6F and enter the magical circle in the middle.

7F
Follow the path and save your game. Head to the next magical circle and go
up the Altar of Darkness to trigger the first boss fight in this dungeon.

****************************************
* Airy                                 *
* HP: 99,999 Weakness: Fire, FAM: Bug *
****************************************

She will primarily deal damage using Zeta: Flare deals massive fire damage
to all party. The damage from this attack can be mitigated by having Absorb
Magic Damage as one of your character's Prior to that, she may use Acedia
first, which weakens the entire party's defense against all elements. This
can be countered by the spiritmaster's Greater Spirit Ward. She can also
halt your team's BP use / storage by using Dark Abyss that inflicts Dread
to multiple characters. She can also use Slaughter to deal damage and has
high chance to poison. Make sure to remove any status ailments since she
can also use Plague that instantly knocks out any character with status
ailments.

After bringing her HP down completely, she'll be fully healed by her
master. Her HP will recover to full again after depleting her HP the second
time around. This is the last time that she'll get healed so pummel her
with all your might until she's defeated.

After the battle, you can heal yourselves up and save the game if you want.
Once ready, head back to the Altar of Darkness to fight the real boss.

********************************************
* Ouroboros                                *
* HP: 150,000 Weakness: None, FAM: Dragon *
********************************************

Ouroboros will take the form of a party member and will use different
skills you've learned through different jobs. You have to adjust to his
attacks accordingly. Make his HP critical to end the battle and for him to
assume his real form.

********************************************
* Ouroboros                                *
* HP: 100,000 Weakness: Water, FAM: Dragon *
********************************************

His Zero Dimension can instantly take out a character while his Total
Regeneration fully restores his HP. He will keep using it every turn so
don't bother going for an all-out attack. Zero Dimension doesn't work on a
character that has the Ribbon equipped so if that character is your healer,
you don't have to worry about fully reviving your characters. You don't
need to go on an offensive for now; just revive your fallen party members.

If you have a ninja in your team, you can just use Kairai to redirect the
boss' attention to the character that has the Ribbon equipped. If you also
have a character with the Miscellany skill, you can use Treat to heal that
character for free and to keep his/her HP up in case the boss hits him/her
with a physical attack. With this, you can put the boss in a loop and set
the battle in auto mode. This will take several turns and minutes so leave
your 3DS and grab a coffee or snack or something. Once you've done enough,
the battle will stop automatically and a scene will be triggered.

********************************************
* Ouroboros                                *
* HP: 150,000 Weakness: Water, FAM: Dragon *
********************************************

With the boss' regenerative powers temporarily sealed, you should be able
to go on an offensive now. He will still have the same attack pattern in
addition to Demonic Touch which will make your party lose 1BP. You just
need to keep damaging him until he's down to 50% HP. After that, another
scene will take place.

********************************************
* Ouroboros                                *
* HP: 200,000 Weakness: Water, FAM: Dragon *
********************************************

You have to do the same pattern as before. In addition to that, he can use
Celestial Touch to increase his Physical and Magical stats by 50%. After
losing much of his HP, the boss will use Armageddon which will deal
tremendous amounts of damage to everyone. Make sure you boost your defenses
and dispel his Celestial Touch boosts to ensure everybody survives this.
Having Absorb Physical Damage support ability helps a lot in mitigating a
good portion of this damage as well. The bad news however, is that
Armageddon also fully heals the boss. If you managed to bring down his HP
to 60%, assume that he's going to use Armageddon in the one or two turns.

After surviving the Armageddon, repeat the same pattern again. After the
third Armageddon strike, another scene will trigger. The following scenes
will depend on how many friends you've acquired. You'll need them in the
next phase of the battle.

********************************************
* Ouroboros                                *
* HP: 200,000 Weakness: Water, FAM: Dragon *
********************************************

If you have fallen allies or if you've been critically wounded, heal up and
revive everyone as quickly as possible. Use one of your megalixirs to
completely heal the party's HP and MP as well. Disaster deals heavy damage
to non-default characters, with the chance of knocking them out even with
full HP. There will even be times that the boss will use Disaster every
turn. If you find yourself in a pinch, use the Spiritmaster's Stillness
ability or the Merchant's Low Leverage skill. Remember to recover your BP
using the Performer's My Hero + Mimic combo. The boss will also use
Divergence which will lock up a character's command to Default, Summon
Friend and Run. If you haven't used any of your friends' attacks yet, this
is the best time to use them. If you have a friend that can deal over the
boss' maximum HP, then the battle will be over in an instant. Divergence's
effects will die down in around 3 turns but that spells bad news especially
if your party's in trouble. It will better if you'll stack up BP and attack
multiple times in a single turn than to act individually. Keep doing this
until the boss is finally defeated.

Congratulations in completing the game! Enjoy the ending scenes. You'll be
able to save the clear game data, unlock New Game + and a Special Movie.
