Question for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D

Is there an easier way to get Epona? I know you have to race but I always end up loosing. If there is could someone please let me know! Thanks

I first must make sure that you know that you need to be racing with Epona (the only horse with the white mane) and not the standard horse you are given.

Watch how Ingo races. At several points he swings wide. When he swings out use the boost/carrot to speed up and pass him on the inside. Another good trick is to not use all five carrots/boosts at the same time. Don't let the meter run out until the final stretch. Wait for a few seconds before using another carrot/boost.

What I do is stay on the inside, and use carrots when Ingo starts to catch up. It's not hard, you just need to use the carrots sparingly, because if you use them up all at once you won't stand a chance.

Just pace the times you use the carriots
