Pokemon Sun/Moon Minior Competitive Moveset!

This is a very interesting Pokemon... Literally tanky one minute then a sweeper the next! There has to be SOME way to exploit that capability, right?

Minior

Shields Down @White Herb

252 Atk, 252 HP, Adamant

-Shell Smash

-Acrobatics

-Rock Slide/Stone Edge

-Earthquake

You set up with one Shell Smashes, then the defense drop is cancelled by the White Herb, which burns it to power Acrobatics, then Rock Slide or Stone Edge for STAB, and finally Earthquake to cover opposing Rock-types.

Don't underestimate this jelly star!

Pokemon Sun/Moon Alolan Ninetales Competitive Moveset!

Alolan Ninetales is arguably the most majestic Pokemon ever created... More majestic even than it's flaming alter ego! This Pokemon is x4 weak to Steel, which definitely lowers it's potential, but when they're out of the way, Alolan Ninetales' Speed and Special Defense are nothing to laugh at!

Alolan Ninetales

Snow Warning @Life Orb

252 Spd, 252 HP/SpAtk (up to personal preference), and Timid

-Nasty Plot

-Blizzard/Freeze-Dry

-Moonblast

-Psyshock

Nasty Plot strengthens her somewhat lacking power, and with Snow Warning to power Blizzard (or Freeze-Dry to cover Water-types, although I'd stick with the pure power) and STAB on Moonblast with Psyshock as support for tough SpDef tanks, Alolan Ninetales isn't just a beauty... It's a tough..

Pokemon Sun/Moon Pheromosa Competitive Moveset!

Just like Alolan Ninetales, this stunning Pokemon... Err, Ultra Beast, has as much inner brawn as outer beauty! It sure lives up to it's classification as an Ultra Beast!

Pheromosa

Beast Boost @Life Orb

252 Atk, 252 Spd, Adamant

- High Jump Kick

- U-Turn

- Poison Jab

- Lunge

I add Lunge for lack of better Physical coverage, unless you're OK using Bounce or want to try Return instead, which are both valid options. Lunge is nice as backup for you-Turn if you already have a Beast Boost or two up and don't want to force yourself to switch out. As always, have fun using Pheromosa!

Pokemon Sun/Moon Buzzwole Competitive Moveset!

I don't like his stat layout but.. I'll try to get something here...

Buzzwole

Beast Boost @Leftovers

252 HP, 252 SpDef, Careful

-Bulk Up

-Substitute

-Leech Life

-Focus Punch

Tested this myself, it works well. Sub, then Bulk Up once (hopefully twice, then resub, Leech Life to heal, and Focus Punch because it's strong ;) After playing this, I actually liked using it, quite bulky and was living a Scarf Xurkitree T-bolt (probably Modest then) with about 45% HP - not bad.

Pokemon Sun/Moon Nihilego Competitive Moveset!

The first Ultra Beast ever revealed, who left us confused and excited for what was to come. Nihilego is probably still my favorite overall, though Kartana and Pheromosa come close.

Nihilego

Beast Boost @ Life Orb

252 Spd, 252 SpAtk, Timid

-Sludge Wave

-Power Gem

-Dazzling Gleam

-Psyshock

With 127 SpAtk and 103 Spd, Nihilego is a real threat - especially thanks to Beast Boost. I tried to run a SpDef wall Stealth Rock/Mirror Coat/Acid Spray set, but unfortunately many Pokemon get EQ (Earthquake), which obliterates Nihilego as a Rock/Poison. After Beast Boost though, Nihilego is a threat to be reckoned with!

Pokemon Sun/Moon Palossand Moveset!

The sand castle lives up to it's name - tanky but slightly weak to water. Water Compaction can definitely by exploited though with careful play!

Palossand

Water Compaction @ Leftovers/Sitrus

252 HP, 252 SpAtk, Modest

-Stockpile

-Shore Up

-Shadow Ball

-Earth Power

I know, I know, part tank and part offense is weird, but this still lives a Xurkitree Energy Ball. You may want Amnesia or Iron Defense to wall certain things instead of Stockpile. This is a great counter to Tapu Koko, Xurkitree, and Alola Marowak - all strong favorites of the current meta. I'd recommend Sitrus Berry because the meta now leans toward the mighty mons, like UB's (Celesteela being the only strong tank among them).

Good luck and careful not to let your c..

Pokemon Sun/Moon Primarina Moveset!

Lovely. Just lovely. Very strong, but lacking in HP, Def and Spd so a rather low-class mon. A great movepool saves it from having to sadly sing forever apart from all competitiveness though.

Primarina

Torrent @Choice Scarf

252 Spd, 252 SpAtk, Modest/Timid

-Hydro Pump/Scald

-Moonblast

-Ice Beam

-Energy Ball

Ice Beam for Decidueyes and Tapu Bulu, Energy Ball for Tapu Fini, and STAB of course - you'll use that most often. Moonblast is an amazing move overall plus Scald (go Burn lucky) or Hydro Pump for power. I still wish Liquid Voice was like say 'Liquidate' to power Hyper Voice... Oh well! Still Water-type Perish Song for Battle Royal!

Pokemon Sun/Moon Ash-Greninja Moveset!

I can still hear it: Gekkouga, Razor Shuriken!!! I'm going to miss that in the new anime.

Anyway, YOU won't use Water Shuriken, sadly: it is still lacking in strength. Why no orange Shuriken z-move???!!!

Ash-Greninja

Battle Bond @Waterium Z

252 Spd, 252 SpAtk, Timid

-Scald/Hydro Pump

-Dark Pulse

-Ice Beam

-Grass Knot

Wait until your opponents fast Pokemon and Tanky Pokemon fall to unleash this monster... Or enter to finish one tank with Z-Hydro Vortex! It's an immensely strong move with Greninja's 153 SpAtk - it will finish ANYTHING!!! Pretend you're Ash and beat Alain now that you can Z-move!!! Take that MegaZard!!!

How to Shiny Hunt in Pokemon Sun and Moon!

Friend Safari in XY, DexNav in ORAS... But how do you get those fancy new tropical Alolan Shinies now?

Simple enough, in fact. If you've played the game, you've seen a weakened wild Pokemon 'call for help', usually summoning a wild Pokemon of the same kind to help. Well, that summoned Pokemon has a 1/512 chance of being Shiny - same odds as Friend Safari.

Pros

-This method allows you to hunt ANY Shiny Pokemon you desire, while Friend Safari limited you to your friend options and pre-programmed options.

-Amazing chances to get a Shiny... Still much patience required though ;)

-Get an Adrenaline Orb and use one in-battle to increase chances of getting a wild Pokemon to call for help - they cost p300 in any PokeMart.

Cons

..

Pokemon Sun/Moon Xurkitree Moveset!

This is literally the easiest set to make ever: this is like the only way to use Xurkitree:

Xurkitree

Beast Boost @Choice Scarf

252 Spd, 252 SpAtk, Modest

-Thunderbolt

-Volt Switch

-Energy Ball

-Dazzling Gleam

With a Scarf and 173 base Special Attack, Xurk is a MONSTER!!! Between him and Tapu Koko, a Lightning Rod or Ground-type Pokemon is a staple for every team!

Pokemon Sun/Moon Kartana Moveset!

The paper-thin, razor-sharp, origami ninja is here!!!

Kartana

Beast Boost @Life Orb

252 Spd, 252 Atk, Jolly

-Leaf Blade

-Smart Strike

-Psycho Cut

-Sacred Sword

Kartana laughs at Black Kyurem's puny 170 Atk and 95 Spd, sporting 181 Atk and 109 Spd himself! OK, OK, Kyurem is much tankier...

Either way, this mini UB is a massive threat!

Pokemon Sun/Moon Celesteela Moveset!

I hate this thing. It is like Skarmory except twice as annoying. Imagine that!

Celesteela

Beast Boost @ Leftovers

252 HP, 252 SpDef, Calm

-Protect

-Leech Seed

-Toxic

-Air Slash/Flash Cannon

....

...

This thing is evil. Kill it with fire.

Or be a jerk and use him anyway XD Good luck!
