When you have beaten World 5 a locked Warp Star will appear on the overworld. If you have Gold or better in ALL stages (including the EX stages) you will unlock a Warp Star that allows you to play the Secret Path. (This is a challenging level that consists of 5 mini stages in one).
When you complete the following tasks the corresponding EX stage will become unlocked.
Level 1 EX:
Get Gold Trophy or higher in ALL stages in Level 1.
Level 2 EX:
Get Gold Trophy or higher in ALL stages in Level 2.
Level 3 EX:
Get Gold Trophy or higher in ALL stages in Level 3.
Level 4 EX:
Get Gold Trophy or higher in ALL stages in Level 4.
Level 5 EX:
Get Gold Trophy or higher in ALL stages in Level 5.
