In Mission 6B destroyed the prototype machine (Moon).

Neptune:

In Mission 14 destroyed the prototype machine (Neptune).

Pluto:

In Mission 16 destroyed the prototype machine (Pluto).

Earth:

In Mission 6A destroyed the prototype machine (Earth).

Mercury:

In Mission 2 destroyed the prototype machine (Mercury).

Mars:

In Mission 8 destroyed the prototype machine (Mars).

Jupiter:

In Mission 10 destroyed the prototype machine (Jupiter).

Saturn:

In Mission 12A destroyed the prototype machine (Saturn).

White God of Death:

Clear campaign (Mission 1 to 16) without losing or aborting a mission.

Worthy Opponent:

Destroyed rival in less than 2 minutes (Excluding Mission 5).

Ratal can be unlocked as a playable character by beating Story mode twice and then holding the L and R buttons the next time you select 'New Game'. If you have done this correctly you will hear a a voice clip as confirmation. Unlocking Ratel does not affect the story or boss battles.
