Revisit Base Camps Before Entering Enemy Territory
Before you contemplate entering enemy territory you should always take the time to search out and visit a base camp in order to ensure you have the correct weapons and gear for the job. Changing weapons can only be done at base camp and being caught with the wrong weapons for the wrong situation can seriously hamper your progress.
Always Collect Resources for Crafting
As you progress through Rise of the Tomb Raider you should get in the habit of grabbing all the wood, feathers, and pelts you come across. Use ranged weapons to take down wolves, bears, and wild cats. Crafting during combat can be a life saver if you have the required resources to craft ammo and healing items in your inventory.
Don't try to 100% Areas the First Time
Resist the temptation of trying to discover everything a new area has to offer the first time you enter it. The reason for this is there will be many secrets you will not be able to access until further along the line when you have gained certain gear.
Do the Challenge Tombs
Prioritize the Challenge Tombs as completing each of these 9 optional puzzles will reward Lara Croft with a powerful new skill. The entrances of the Challenge are not easy to find but they are worthwhile taking the time to look for and complete. There are 9 Challenge Tombs in total.

How to Spend your Skill Points Early
In Rise of the Tomb Raider you will earn earn Skill Points whenever you level up. These Skill Points can then be used to unlock three skill trees that are filled with various useful perks. In order to ensure faster progression in the game you need to spend the Skill Points you earn wisely. Resist the temptation of getting the Combat perk first and instead choose the Avid Learner perk in the Survivor section. It is recommended that you pick this perk up first as it boosts the amount of XP you earn from discovering Survival Caches and reading Documents, this will help you considerably in the early game as it will allow you to get the Skill Points quicker for the Compbat perks by getting the XP required to level up. Another perk you should consider getting early on is Thick Skinned which can be found in the Brawler menu and reduces the general damage taken during combat.

Go in the cave till the bear 🐻 chases you. Run out of the cave. Shoot it with a poison arrow and move away. Shoot it with normal arrows till it starts to chase you again. Shoot it again with the poison arrow and then normal arrows. Repeat process till bear dies. Search bear after you kill it |
