Before going to the story trigger to move you should take the time to wander around the area and visit the points of interest which are highlighted with squares. Try to visit as many of these points of interest as possible before moving on as they offer extra character dialogue and the opportunity to find something useful.

In Minecraft: Story Mode QTE's will occasionally happen and they will require you to quickly react accordingly to avoid suffering the consequences of loss of health or death if you are up against a monster. When facing enemies make sure you wait until they are yellow before striking them. If you do not wait until enemies are yellow you will just swing at the air and waste time which will give other adversaries the opportunity to sneak up on you.

There is no need to stress about the decisions you make in Minecraft: Story Mode as there aren't really any 'wrong' social choices you can make. Just remember the golden rule which is to treat people how you would like to be treated, and more often then not they will reciprocate.

In Minecraft: Story Mode there will be instances where you will need to deal with Creepers, a common hostile mob that silently approaches you and explodes. Although Jessie has a sword that will dispose of them after a few hits it is important that you don't let Creepers gang up on you. The best strategy for taking them down is to run up to them and deal with them individually.

During the first episode of Minecraft: Story Mode you will encounter various different characters such as Axel and Petra in your quest. During these encounters you will be able to make decisions via conversations, with several choices from which to pick from. It's entirely up to you what decisions you make in the conversations but keep in mind that replaying the episode will enable you to see how characters react to different choices and it will allow you see how you can easily bond with new members of your party.
