To pull this off, plug one controller into slot one and one controller into slot four, then start a new game.
While on the balcony at the beginning of the game, hold B on the controller in controller port four and press the following: a,b,y,x,y,a,b,x on controller port one. If the code doesn't work, you may have to type in the code faster.
Get a friend to hold B on the Controller in Port 4 if you are having trouble.
