Introduction

A classical zombie game, or is it?
Zombies Te My Neighbors was one of the first zombie games to be released, due to the fact it was released on the SNES and the Genesis. Yet, it has it's own taste in a way. The way the game is built with humor instead of just horror, but with a few jumpy parts as well. The game designers knew what they were doing.

Graphics

Considering how old this game is, I do have to say the graphics were pretty good for it's time. Enemies like the giant baby, the graphics work really well with it, and makes the image even more humorous. You can pretty much tell what's going on all the time, which can't be said for some SNES games. So the graphics work, and they're not bad either.

Sound

Let's just say the music here will be with you, for a while. Ever since I was introduced to this game when I was 7, I still remember the song from the first level. The music isn't all that bad. It adds tension into the game, and it makes you tense a lot. As you run to find all the victims, the music thrives off of it to work really well with the game. But music isn't the only thing that goes with the game. The sound effects work really well here. The moans and grunts of the zombies makes your heart beat. The blobs of slime can be heard and defined. The howls of the werewolves is good too. But the best sound effect would have to be the scream of the victims. As soon as one dies, especially if you're new to the game, it makes your heart skip. It truly is scary. I may be over exaggerating a bit, but this caption deserves a perfect score.

Gameplay

The game play is fun. The humor and eerie horrors really do work well to bond here. The controls can sometimes be very confusing, but the game makes up for it. There is no story line, but a basic save and rescue mission for each level. The game is good, and the gameplay isn't that bad. The game itself is very hard to beat without cheating though. But because of the confusing controls, I must take note.

Lastability

Truthfully, it's really easy to become annoyed with this game. The game is actually really hard to beat, much less get to level 10. So without cheats, it's easy to put down. You eventually get a craving for it again, but because people get annoyed, it gets a 7.

Overall

This game is really great, and does deserve a try. The sound is absolutely stunning, adding so much to the game that you can't even imagine. The graphics help, not to gory, but enough to add some spook. The gameplay is okay, but because the game is so hard, it's fairly easy to put down the controller. Overall, the game is spectacular, and has to be my favorite zombie game of all time. So if you haven't checked it out yet, I recommend doing so.
