Why isn't my Minecraft getting any new items? (btw it's Minecraft Xbox One Edition)

Unfortunately developers ceased providing updates for the Xbox One Edition of Minecraft (and other console editions).

You can buy the Bedrock Edition, which allows you to download the Village & Pillage/Aquatic updates from Xbox Live.
Cover will just be titled 'Minecraft' and may include some Minecraft Coins, that are used to purchase items in the Marketplace (skins and user-generated content).

How do I get the Pokemon mod on Minecraft Xbox one edition

Connect your Xbox to your PC via USB and find an Xbox mod website. Follow the instructions to download. The only problem is that your Xbox Live account will have a permanent ban.

OK the simple answer is that you don't - YET.

The launch of Windows 10 this month combined with the already announced Xbox One OS upgrade that is coming some time before the holidays will add the ability for any PC on your network that has Windows 10 installed on it to connect to and interface with your Xbox One (as long as it has the Windows 10 update).

The word is that once that happens, Microsoft plans to convert the temporary loader for Minecraft to permit it to use PC Mods, so basically any Mod you can get for the PC version will/should work on the Xbox One version.

That said though, you need to remember that mods only work when the version of Minecraft you are using them on has the same updates and capabilities as the version the mod was created for.

How do I restart any game on the xbox one

Yeah it is odd that they did not include a new game selection but they did not. The only way we know how to do this is to open the media manager and go to the AC Unity folder, then delete your save game there. That will restart the game.

Also though you asked this in the Minecraft Section - you should have asked it in the AC Unity Section. Just saying.
