2. Introduction:
------------------

Hey, this is a FAQ about one of my favourite characters in Warriors Orochi 2,
Kunoichi. I have written a couple of character FAQ's now, and use the same
outline, so I know what I'm doing now. But I'm sure if I make any mistakes,
someone will send me an e-mail telling me what I have done wrong. I will
obviously give credit to them for doing so. Well, I think that is enough of an
Introduction. You're here to read about Kunoichi, not to listen to overly long
Introductions.

3. Story:
-----------

Orochi, the Serpent King, had brought chaos to the land by merging the worlds
of the Three Kingdoms era of China and the Warring States period of Japan.
Almost a month had passed since the warriors from both worlds had defeated the
Demon King, and everyone believed they could live in peace. However, chaos
still loomed in the strange new world...

There were those who wished to take over the world Orochi created, warriors
who yearned for chaos so they could strengthen their skills in battle, the
remnants of Orochi's followers and an additional new threat...

The time had come again for the warriors to confront this chaos.

4. Controls:
--------------

The controls in this game are similar to the others, but here is a quick
list, to show you what buttons do what:

Main Menu or Battle Menu:
---------------------------

Left Analogue Stick or directional buttons = Move up and down
A = Confirm
B = Back

Select a character screen:
----------------------------

Left Analogue Stick or directional buttons = Move in all directions
A = Confirm
B = Back
Y = Change character outfit
X = Random

In battle:
------------

X = Normal Attack
Y = Charge Attack
B = Musou Attack
A = Jump
LB = Block
RB = Special Ability
LT - RT = Switch between characters in your team
BACK = Call for horse
Start = Open up battle menu
Left Analogue Stick = Move around
( Push Right Analogue Stick in ) = Change map type
Right Analogue Stick = Change the camera angle

5.a) Kunoichi: Who is Kunoichi?
---------------------------------

That is a good question. Kunoichi is a ninja. She is the protector of
Yukimura Sanada. She stayed with him through thick and thin in
Samurai Warriors. In Warriors Orochi, Kunoichi helped the Wu forces fight
Orochi. Now she returns in Warriors Orochi 2. Kunoichi is a power type
character.

5.b) Kunoichi: History
------------------------

Not much to put here. Kunoichi isn't real! But in Samurai Warriors she was
the protector of Yukimura Sanada... She wasn't in Samurai Warriors 2
as she was replaced by Nene. But Kunoichi is believed to have been
made up of the different parts of the ninja troop that protected
Yukimura Sanada.

5.c) Kunoichi: Overall story involvement
-------------------------------------------

Kunoichi's is trying to stop the Orochi forces from resurrecting Orochi. She
works for Wei as a Scout and a Spy, giving valuable information to Cao Cao
which leads into many battles for Wei.

5.d) Kunoichi: Changes
-------------------------

Kunoichi is pretty much the same as she was in Warriors Orochi.
They have made some slight changes though...

Her Outfits have changed.
She has a strategy.

That's all.

5.e) Kunoichi: Moveset
-------------------------

Standing Attacks:
-------------------

X = Running flip with knives in her hands ( Moving )

XXXXXXXX = A series of knife attacks with 4 round house kicks and
a twisting kick in a handstand.

YYY = Charges up and runs attacking with her knives as she goes followed
by a flip and attack.

XYYY = She hits them once, then smacks them into the air, then she jumps
up after them with a series of flips with her knives in her hands, when she
reaches the top, she lets off an explosion and sets fire to her opponent as
she jumps back down.

XXYYY = She hits them twice, then kicks them, does a backflip, spins
around at an angle, then lets off a big explosion and does another
backflip.

XXXYYY = She hits them three times, then starts going forwards using her
knives at the same time and finishes the combo by throwing them, they
circle around in front of her.

Hold B ( When Musou Gauge is full ) = She spins around repeatedly with her 
knives in her hands.

Hold B ( When Musou Gauge is full and health is in the red ) = Exactly the
same as above but at the end she spins around at an angle.

AX ( Jump Attack ) = Slashes with both knives.

AY ( Jump Charge ) = Falls with her knives and digs them into whatever is
there, then does a backflip at the end.

LB = Block ( Not Moving )

LB + Left Analogue Stick = Block ( Moving )

RB = Kunoichi does a backwards dash and becomes invincible
for a short period of time. ( She goes transparent like the phantoms
that can hurt you, but you can't hurt them ) This also increases her
attack power.

Back = Call for a horse. ( Not inside a castle )

Mounted Attacks:
------------------

Y ( Samurai Characters only ) = The horse rears up and attacks the enemy
( Not moving )

Y ( Samurai Characters only ) = The horse jumps and lands, hurts the enemy
( Moving )

XXXXXXXX = Attacks to her right 8 times.

XY = Attacks to her right once, then throws the knife upwards from
a low position.

XXY = Attacks to her right twice, then throws an explosive.

XXXY = Attacks to her right 3 times, then throws both of her knives
and then catches them.

B ( When Musou Gauge is full ) = The horse charges forwards with a barrier in
front of it, it hits anybody in it's way.

LB = Block ( Not Moving )

LB + Left Analogue Stick = Block ( Moving )

5.f) Kunoichi: How to unlock her
-----------------------------------

You don't need to unlock Kunoichi. She is a starting character for the Wei
Forces.

5.g) Kunoichi: Why use her?
-----------------------------

This is a good question! Why should you use Kunoichi?
Because I said so... Not really.

Because she's one of the quickest characters in the game, her R1 special is
great for when you're in Chaos mode, her moves look good and deal a lot of
damage.

Her attacks are also quite speedy and she has quite a good range with
her weapon attacks.

Her Strategy is also easy to pull off, but very effective.

With the right attributes on her weapon she has the potential to become one of
the best characters in the game!

Just give her a try!

5.h) Kunoichi: Who works best in a team with her?
---------------------------------------------------

Thats really a matter of opinion on who works best in a team with her...
Cao Cao and Nu Wa work very well with her. Hideyoshi is great with his
special move, she's already quick as it is, but with his special,
you can imagine how quick she would be then. Or you could just choose
whoever works best for you... your favourite character, or your strongest 
character, it's entirely up to you!

Oh on a side note... Hideyoshi's voice is still very irritating, but don't let
that stop you from using him. Here are some of the teams that I have used...

Here you go:
---------------

Team 1
--------

Kunoichi, Cao Cao and Nu Wa

This is the first team I used when I got this game, and I have to say that I
still use this team a lot, and I don't even like Cao Cao that much! Nu Wa is
great with her special that doesn't use Musou, very effective against officers
and Base Captains. Even on Chaos! Her XXXXXYYY Move is really good if you have
Bolt and Agility on it. Cao Cao's power up move is good, if you can get his
proficiency high enough. Overall, a very good team for beginners and experts
alike.

Team 2
--------

Kunoichi, Sun Wukong and Hideyoshi

This team is really good. Sun Wukong and Kunoichi are two very fast character,
and Hideyoshi's speed increase with high proficiency makes them move incredibly
fast. Can be hard to control at first, but when you get the hang of it, this
team is incredible. You could always switch Sun Wukong for someone else if you
wanted. One I used was Nu Wa, as she is very quick too.

Team 3
--------

Kunoichi, Sun Shang Xiang and Hideyoshi

This team is good also. Sun Shang Xiang's specials are quite good, especially
the arrow shoot out one. Get in a croud with that and let loose. If you are
strong enough, you can get quite a lot of kills. Combine that with
Hideyoshi's speed special, and you have got a croud killing machine.

5.i) Kunoichi: How to use her
-------------------------------

Kunoichi is a relatively easy character to use. Her moves are quite easy to
pull off. Her only problem is her YYY move. I think it is very ineffective,
hard to control and not very powerful. Her XYYY is a good move as it can kill
a general on one of the harder difficulty settings. Her XXYYY is her best
charge move as this a great crowd clearer and hurts many of the generals. This
is only effective if you have the right attributes on your weapon. There is a
section later about this, skip to it if you want to know some good weapon
combinations for her.

Her XXXYYY is effective too. It is a good crowd clearer and can get her out of
some sticky situations. For instance, if you were on Chaos mode and her health
bar was red, as were all of your other characters. Use this move to get her
out of there.

Her XXXXXXXX combo is good in this version, the kicks are quite powerful, and
the handstand kick at the end is powerful too, but if you don't knock the
enemies down when you do it, and you're on chaos mode, it can cause a problem.

Her RB special is very effective. Use this if you need to kill someone quick,
if you are in trouble, or if you just want to use it for fun. Very useful on
Chaos mode.

5.j) Kunoichi: Recommended Weapon Attributes
----------------------------------------------

First off I'm going to give you a list of the attributes, and what they do.

Here you go...
-----------------

Fire: Sets opponent on fire with some charge attacks, good for the earlier
difficulty settings. Also works well with Air.

Ice: Freezes opponents with some charge attacks.

Bolt: Very powerful with some charge attacks and 100% guaranteed to happen.
Very powerful, good for all modes.

Slay: Very powerful, does good damage against generals and can kill peons in
one hit, with some charge attacks.

Brave: Increases your attack strength against generals.

Flash: Breaks through the enemy's guard.

Air: Increases your attack strength when enemies are airborne.

Range: Increases your attack range.

Multi: Produces Clones when doing charge attacks.

Drain: Absorbs enemy's life.

Might: Increases attack strength.

Absorb: Absorbs enemy's musou.

Agility: Increases attack speed, all charge attacks.

Rage: Increases Strength, Decreases Health.

Thats all of them. All of these go up to 10, the attack goes up 20 and
you can have 8 slots. 

Here's the weapons:

This weapon is great for killing things. A very quick weapon with that added
advantage of air, which is great as when you use bolt, you can hit enemies into
the air easier.

Weapon 2:
------------

Bolt
Slay
Flash
Range
Might
Agility
Brave
Absorb

This weapon is pretty much the same, just that you can absorb Musou from
enemies and you have no air bonus.

It honestly doesn't matter which weapon you choose, they are both good.

5.k) Kunoichi: How to get the 4th weapon
------------------------------------------

To get Kunoichi a good 4th weapon do this...

Get her to level 80+
Get her proficiency to level 35+
Get a good 3rd weapon
Now go to the first level of the Wei Story, the battle of Si Province.
It shouldn't matter who you have on your team as you should only need Kunoichi
for this battle. Do this level on Chaos Mode. It's very easy and if you do the
level normally, killing all generals in your way, you should get at least 4
weapon boxes. Since this is the first level of a Story, you should have no
problems killing everyhthing in your way.

Now that you have got the 4th weapon, it's time to start using it! Make
sure you have a lot of weapon fusion points. Because you are going to
need them.

Note:
-------

This stage is great for getting everybodies 4th weapons. Just use Kunoichi
and get even the weakest character's 4th weapons!

5.l) Kunoichi: Name of Weapons

5.m) Kunoichi: Abilities she unlocks
---------------------------------------

Okay, here I am going to put the skills Kunoichi unlocks, and how
she unlocks them.

Here is the list:
-------------------

1. Impulse - Increases speed.
Conditions - Defeat 3 officers.

2. Boost - Strengthens Charge Attack.
Conditions - Defeat 80 enemies, while maintaining 30% Life Gauge status.

3. Recover - Refills Life Gauge during battle.
Conditions - Defeat 100 enemies, while maintaining 50% Life Gauge status,
without performing any attack using the Musou Gauge.

Thats them all!

5.n) Kunoichi: Strategy
--------------------------

Kunoichi's strategy is very easy to pull off, but very effective. Simply
defeat 100 enemies, and the defence of the allied commander(s) will increase.
Always helpful.

Nobody really asks me questions about Kunoichi...
I have an idea, I'll make some up!

Question: Is Kunoichi in this game?
Answer: Yes, if she wasn't I wouldn't be doing this FAQ about her
would I?

Question: Which weapon do you use in your Recommended
Weapon Attributes, 1 or 2?
Answer: 1.

Question: Which team do you use in your who works best in a
team with her, 1, 2 or 3?
Answer: All of them, but I use 1 the most.

Question: What is Kunoichi best at, Crowd Clearing, or General
Defeating?
Answer: Both, her XYYY is good for General Defeating, but her 
XXYYY and XXXYYY are both good for Crowd Clearing, XXYYY is
not a bad General Defeater either!

Question: Which one of Kunoichi's outfits do you like better in
this game?
Answer: 3 as it is her 2nd outfit from Samurai Warriors.

Question: Can you play this game online?
Answer: No, but I wish you could.

Question: Why does Kunoichi wear that stupid hat?
Answer: I don't know? Go and ask the game producers, and I
think it looks cool.

Question: Why are the abilities the exact same as the Warriors Orochi ones?
Answer: I have no idea, but I can assure you they are correct.

Question: Why is this FAQ basically the same as your other Kunoichi one?
Answer: Because it's basically the same game, with a few updates. Likewise, I
have updated my FAQ to be suited for Warriors Orochi 2.

Question: This FAQ is rubbish!
Answer: Go and make your own then! And that wasn't even a question.
