##############
# HISTORICAL # (HIST01)
##############

The daughter of Akechi Mitsuhide, she was born in the year 1563 with the name
Akechi Tama. In the year 1578, at the age of 15 she married Hosokawa Tadaoki,
an equally young Officer serving under Oda Nobunaga and was in charge of the
Tango province. In the year 1582, Akechi Mitsuhide rebelled against Oda
Nobunaga causing him, as well as his Retainer Mori Ranmaru, to commit seppuku.
Following this event, Tama was branded a traitors daughter and was to be put
to death. Matters only worsened when Akechi Mitsuhide then asked Hosokawa
Tadaoki and his father Hosokawa Fujitaka for help. Tadaoki promptly refused
to aid Mitsuhide and sent Tama to the hamlet of Midono in the mountains of
the Tango Peninsula, in order to protect her. She hid away there for 2 years,
until Tadaoki moved her to the Family mansion in Osaka.

While living in Osaka, Tama discovered Christianity. Her hand maid, as well as
some of her husband's friends, where Christian. They would read and tell her
stories from the Christian bible as well as have general conversations with her.
Over time she grew quite interested in the religion and in the year 1587, she
secretly visited the Osaka church. Later in the same year Hashiba Hideyoshi
banished Christian Missionaries and attempted to completely dissuade
Christianity from Japan. Upon hearing this, Tama wished to be baptized while
she still could. However, unable to go to a church and have it done
officially, her loyal hand maid baptized her at home, giving her the Christian
name "Gracia". (Meaning grace or "the kindness/favor of God").

In 1595 Hosokawa Gracia, again, had her life in danger. Her husband, Tadaoki,
was a friend to Toyotomi Hidetsugu who planned to attempt a coup and succeed
his uncle, Hideyoshi, as ruler. Because of Hidetsugu's betrayal, he, as well
as his supporters, were forced to commit seppuku . Luckily, the danger passed
and no harm came to Gracia or Tadaoki. However, because of this incident,
Tadaoki informed Gracia that if he were ever to die, Gracia must kill her
self to preserve her honor. Torn between her loyalty to her husband and her
new found Christian ways, she secretly wrote to some priests in hiding as
to what she should do. Their response was, that as a Christian, she must
not take her own life. This is the decision that she gave her husband,
and he respected her wishes.

In 1598, Hideyoshi died causing the unified Japan to fall apart leaving
Tokugawa Ieyasu and Ishida Mitsunari to pick up the pieces. As the two
were waging war for control of a unified Japan, Ieyasu took an army, that
consisted of Tadaoki, and captured the Osaka castle. Upon learning this,
Mitsunari devised a plan to take rival general family members hostage, thus
forcing them to either defect to his side, or the very least, not attack him.

Sadly, when Mitsunaris troops came to the Hosokawa mansion in Osaka, Gracia was
killed by the retainer of her husband, Ogasawara Shosai. He then continued by
ordering all other members of the house to commit seppuku. Finally, he set the
mansion on fire before committing seppuku himself.

As it turned out, anytime Tadaoki left the mansion he entrusted his loyal
retainers with a simple mission. Since Gracia will not kill herself, if her
honor was ever in danger; they were to kill her and then themselves. Though
they tried to keep such an agreement a secret, Gracia eventually found out and
agreed to the fate. So much so, that during the attempted kidnapping, some of
the retainers wanted to attempt to flee with her. But Gracia would not allow
it, and told them to do what her husband had ordered.

Later, after Mitsunaris failure had caused so much outcry and outrage, he was
forced to abandon his plan. After his troops had left the razed ashes of the
mansion, Catholic priests gathered Gracias remains and buried them in a
cemetery in Sakai. Though later Tadaoki returned them to Osaka.

# Game Adaption # (HIST02)
#################

The games adaption of Gracia does not follow her historical life. In fact,
other than her final stage, the Gracia from this game and the Hosokawa
Tama from history share nothing between them, other than a name. The
Gracia in history was well educated, able to study in temples thanks to
her father's position. And even if she was curious of the world, never
ran away. And chances are, due to her constant hiding (thanks to the
mis-deeds of her father) never met Magoichi Saika nor participated in
any battles. Furthermore, in game she is portrayed as a Mystic, able
to cast spells and such. Where as historically, Gracia as a
Christian, would have avoided such mysticism because of the Christian views
on them. However, I do not mean to sound like I'm ranting because of
historical inaccuracies. In fact, quite the opposite. Granted I don't
care for her story in musou mode (it's just bland to me), thanks to
the fantasy that was added, she is absolutely one of my favorite
characters both in this and in any other "Warriors" game.

##########################
# Why a guide on Gracia? # (WHY01)
##########################

In a word, she's "broken". No, she's "invincible". No, wait! She's a "god"!
Ok, I'm biased, but let me explain. When I first downloaded the XL expansion
pack, I wasn't sure which of the new characters to use. Cycling through I came
across this, unarmed, girl. Well, ever since the days of DW3, I had always
wanted a character in a Warriors game that fought hand-to-hand and I thought
I found it in her. I promptly picked her, started her first stage and headed
off into battle! ... Only to get my ass handed to me before I scored a single
K.O. >_< Upset, but not discouraged, I tried again. This time scoring 25
K.O.'s before my defeat. At this point, I started to think to myself "What the
HELL!?". So I planned to enter free mode and learn about her. This time, as I
entered free mode I noticed something. Her stats on the character select
screen. They were low. And I mean LOW. With an Attack stat like that, no
wonder I couldn't harm anyone. So I figured maybe there is a special way
to play her. I started a generic free mode stage, and began performing her
moves that were unlocked at the time, and watching how each one acts. I
noticed they were mainly based on getting enemies away from her. But still...
I felt as if I was missing something. Then I realized, I _AM_ missing
something! I've been playing DW6 so often, that I completely forgot that the
characters in SW2 have special moves! So I entered her special stance and
performed her RB+Y move. She spins around and... FWOOMF! Three fireballs
launch from her! I liked it! So I do her RB+X next. She spins around and...
a pillar of light circles her, disorienting enemies. Ok. not bad, but not
great.

So I take off into battle, and just start blasting people with fireballs. Very
few can take this special and survive, and I'm loving it! However, after a
couple of lucky hits from behind, I notice my health is in the red and I'm
surrounded. I figure I'll use the RB+X to stun them and then roll away. What
do you know? When I cast the RB+X, it disoriented a couple of enemies but it
also fully healed me! Yup, for a small cost of musou, Gracia is able to heal
herself, without the use of an item. From that point on, I knew I found a
character that could be abused. Leveling her up even more and gaining her self
skill only made her even more abusable. And gaining her other special
attacks... well... just cemented her position in my eyes. She wasn't built for
hand-to-hand combat, she was built to be a destroyer from a distance!

######################
# Why play as Gracia # (WHY02)
######################

Plain and simple, Gracia is a powerhouse. She just isn't one that you would
use in typical Warriors fashion, like Keiji or Tadakatsu. She's a distance
fighter, better suited for attacking unprepared enemies or enemies that are
currently on their way toward her. With her, you'll essentially be playing a
deadly game of "keep away". Killing anyone that comes into range or, if they
don't die, blowing them into the distance. You won't want to get her into
melee range though. If you do, you're going to have some trouble. Her attack
range is nil, and her attack stat is exceedingly low. While her life and
defense is also below average. However, even if you do get into melee range,
you will still have enough options to be able to handle yourself.

Her special skills are what make her a terror on the battlefield. Honestly, if
you had nothing else but her starting specials, that would be enough. While
playing as Gracia, regardless of your level, you'll probably use her Fireballs
as your main attack. They do that much damage and cover a decent area. And as
you get her 2nd and third levels, you'll notice they all share the same high
power. Add to the fact that they push enemies away and / or knock them down,
allowing you time to recharge your musou or do another "dance" for a special,
and you can keep the barrage going, allowing you to kill most enemies with out
ever taking a hit. And if you do take a hit, or even a lot of hits, there is
still nothing to worry about, because her 2nd special allows her to heal
herself!

Even though the ferocity of the different levels of her first special allow
you to be quite the killer from a distance, her second specials are what
allow you to survive in melee range. The first charge of her special is
invaluable. At the cost of a small amount of musou, Gracia will refill some of
her life. And the second charge gives her a protective aura that allows attacks
to just glance right off. By casting a lvl 2 charge and using a lvl 1 charge
as needed... you are nigh invulnerable. Well... as long as you have the musou
to keep it up... which you should.

On the plus side, even with her special skills all using musou, running out
should never be a problem for you. Once you obtain her self skill, it will
constantly charge itself up for you. Not to mention she has a charge attack
that will refill a large amount of musou, even if it don't hit anything! You
should always be able to have some musou in reserve. And if you ever run out,
it takes only a second to have enough to get back into the fray of battle.

On a final note, because of her second special, she is especially effective in
survival mode where health can be rare. Before you finish a level and go up
the stairs to the next challenge, charge up your musou to refill your health
and then charge up your musou again, so that now you can start the next level
at max capacity. doing this should help you to go farther and earn more gold.
Not to mention she makes getting the special horses a bit easier too. Sure
you have to fight 3 or 4 generals at once, but you can't lose if they can't
hit you. Or if they do get close to you, you can just charge up your Aura
special to level 2 and then, while their attacks aren't phasing you, unleash
Hell!

###############
# At a glance # (WHY03)
###############

Pros:

+ Self skill "Supremacy" constantly charges her musou, even when you're doing
	nothing
+ Y attack regains a large amount of musou, even if it hits nothing
+ Special Attacks are just insanely powerful
+ great at taking on crowds and groups of enemies
+ Can refill her own life!
+ Special attacks have very good range
+ Large amount of Musou

Cons:

- Physical attacks have very little attack range
- Very low attack stat. Have to be level 12 until you are equal to other
	characters at level 1
- low defense and life
- Special attacks require Musou
- can easily get crushed if in melee range and/or surrounded, if you're not
	careful

@ Explanation of stats @
@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

Life: The bluish-green bar that extends from your character portrait.
The higher your life stat, and thus longer you bar, the more
hits you can take and survive.

Musou: The pinkish-red bar below your life. You initially start out
with one level of Musou, but as you level up, you can eventually
get a maximum of three levels. The Musou Gauge is, obviously,
required for your musou attacks. The more musou you have, the
longer your Musou attack lasts. Also, the more Gauges you have
filled, the more powerful your Musou attack.
If you can't eyeball your gauges, then the flames beneath your
musou bar let you know what level your Musou currently is.

Attack: This effects your physical attack damage. As in, how much damage
you inflict when you punch or kick someone. This does NOT effect
	Gracias Special Attack damage.

Defense:This, and your enemies attack stat, determines how much damage
you take when you get hit. The higher the stat, the less damage
you can take, and the less life you'll lose.

Ride: Relates to you on a Horse. The higher the stat, the more
damage you do and the less you take while riding on a horse.

Speed: This is your running speed. The Higher this stat, the faster
	you can run.

Dex: This effects the height of your jump and from what I've been told
the speed and/or distance of your roll. Some people have also
suggested that this skill effects the speed of chaining one attack
	to the next.

Luck: Luck effects almost everything in the game. It helps determine how
often Life and Musou restore items as well as temporary stat
increase items show up. Not to mention how often and how much gold
appears. It also effects how often critical hits can occur.
Plus it effects a variety of other stuff. It's a good stat to have
	more of, if you can.

Gracia begins with the following 4 skills:

Ability Skill: Grace 1
	- Dexterity is increased

Battle Skill: Ele-Charge 1
	- Elemental effects occur during charge attack

Special Skill: Ration 1
	- Healing items have more effect on guards

Special Skill: Fitness 1
	- Power-up items have more effect

@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
@ Self Skill @ (GTKG04b)
@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

Self skill: Supremacy - Obtained at level 10

Supremacy is a skill that only serves to make Gracia more abusable. It
constantly has her musou gage refill itself as if her life was in the red.
Holding down the Musou (A) button, equipping the Rage skill or having Musou
Charge on a weapon also increases the speed at which it refills. This skill,
on top of her Charge 1 attack, pretty much ensures that Gracia will always
have Musou at her disposal.

@ Mercenary Skills @ (GTKG04c)
@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

Whether you are playing as Gracia or if you recruit her as a vassal, as her
mercenary level increases, she will gain access to 4 skills. These skills
only effect her in Mercenary mode, not in story or free mode.

###########
# Attacks # (GTKG05)
###########

*NOTE: When I mention that a Regular or Charge attack activates an element, it
still requires the skill "element" or "ele-charge". Elements that are innate
on some of her moves, however, do not require these skills*

- REGULAR ATTACKS:

X - A straight left punch

X X - followed by a right stomach punch

X X X - followed by a small jump forward with a knee thrust

X X X (X X X X) - followed by 4 counter clock wise spin kicks

X X X (X X X X) X - Ending with a clockwise spin kick. activates element

- CHARGE ATTACKS:

Y - Lifts arm into the air and does a radial shockwave attack

*A GREAT move! It refills her musou like Tadakatsus special, only more!
As an attack it will also stun/disorient surrounding enemies.

Y Y - Follows the above attack with a downward elbow strike

*A pretty useless move. It will only hit an enemy that is directly
in front of her. It does, however, knock them down and activates an element

X Y - A right straight punch. Activates element

X Y Y - Sends out a wide horizontal energy wave right in front of her.

*Similar in size to Ranmarus Y Y version.

X X Y - Throws a left hook. Activates element

X X Y Y - Her hands charge with energy and does a double strike forward with
		both fists.

*A decent move. Will send any enemies (in a roughly 90 degree angle in
front of her) flying a away. Activates Element

X X X Y - throws a Haymaker with her right fist.

X X X Y Y - Does a straight left punch

*A good move for creating breathing room, though hard to connect
with. If it connects it sends an enemy flying a farther distance than the
X X Y Y move plus causes the enemy to roll backwards when they land, increasing
the distance between you. However, it doesn't have the same wide range as her
previous charge as it only hits what is directly in front of her.
Activates element.

X X X X Y - A radial energy attack emits at about waist level.

*A great crowd clearer. Any enemy around Gracia will be pushed away.

- SPECIAL ATTACKS:

SPECIAL 1

R1 + X - Twirls around and throws 3 fireballs in front of her.
(consumes about 1/4 of a musou gauge)

*A GREAT attack! Quite damaging. The fireballs aren't small like
Kotaro's either. These things are almost the size of Gracia! They will emit
from in front of her and spread apart, slightly as they travel. The fireballs
are different than some other projectiles, in that they won't stop when they
hit something. If they hit an enemy or a destructible object, they'll cause
damage and continue going right through them onto other targets. Cast it at a
line of enemies, and it will hit one after the other. And if any of the fire
balls hit a wall, they will stay against the wall for a moment before
disapearing. Great for setting up a trap against a fallen enemy. This attack
also has an innate fire element, so it will randomly set enemies on fire.

R1 + X X - Twirls around, throws her hands into the air and summons an Ice
storm (consumes about 1/3 of a musou gauge)

*Another great crowd clearer. Any enemy surrounding Gracia (at about
same radius of her XXXXY attack) will take a decent amount of damage. Also, it
has an innate ice element, so it will randomly freeze enemies that aren't
killed.

R1 + X X X - Twirls around, puts hands on her chest then waves her arms in a
circle and fires a HUGE, multi hitting, beam attack straight ahead.
(consumes about 1/2 of a musou gauge)

*There is no question... this move is SICK. If you played Warriors
Orochi, then you'll recognize this. it is Ieyasus special from that game. A
large laser beam fires forward hitting anything in its path multiple times for
LARGE amounts of damage. This move can kill most generic generals in a single
blast... even on Hard! Oh ya, it also has an innate wind element, so even if
an enemy were to block it, chances are they will still take damage. =D

SPECIAL 2

R1 + Y - Gracia spins around and an aura of energy comes up around her. Stuns
enemies and restores Gracias health (consumes musou)

	* This move is what breaks her. For the small cost of musou, you can
regain life! And I don't mean a small fraction, I'm talking A LOT. When her
stats are maxed out, she has 250 points of life. Well, this move heals
almost half of that! So regardless of your level, this move will heal around
125 points of life! In her early game, that's a full heal!

R1 + Y Y - Gracia spins around and puts her arms on her chest and she is
surrounded by a green, sphere shaped, aura. While incased in this
aura her defense is increased slightly. And even though she'll
still take damage, attacks will not affect her. (consumes musou)

*this move allows Gracia to take any type of attack, and shrug it
off like nothing happened. If hit with a bomb or Strike Ninja attack, for
example, she won't budge nor will it cancel her out of an attack animation.
Great for when you are surrounded by enemies and want to cast an ice storm or
hit a general with her beam attack. Or simply if you just want to rush through
a crowd to get elsewhere. Aura lasts around 10 seconds.

R1 + Y Y Y - Twirls around, puts hands on her chest then waves her arms in a
circle and obtains a Red Aura that increases her attack.
	(consumes musou)

*Not her best Aura, but not bad either. You get an increase to your
physical attack damage (with out a defense penalty, like the other characters)
and an advantage in deadlocks (each button press fills more of the gauge).
With this aura activated, Gracia can actually be a contender for melee
fighting. Sadly, it doesn't boost her stats enough to really warrant a change
in play style, as her attack Specials still far outshine her melee damage.
Still, a nice aura to have. If you aren't using the Defense aura, you might
consider having this one active. Aura lasts around 10 seconds.

- MUSOU:

Regular Musou - Fires beams of energy from alternating hands in front of her.

LvL 3 Musou - The above, but pillars of wind explode around her as well.

True Musou - Her regular Musou, followed by couple of flip kicks and ending
	with a radial energy attack.

Double Musou - Same as True Musou, but with added Lightning element

-HORSE ATTACKS:

X X X X X X X X - Shoots fireballs to her right. Innate fire element.
(can randomly set enemies on fire)

Y - Horse stomps the ground creating a shockwave attack. Stuns enemies

X Y - Fire ball followed by a pillar of fire to her right. Innate fire element.
(can randomly set enemies on fire)

X X Y - 2 fire balls followed by a large explosion on her right.
Innate fire element. (can randomly set enemies on fire)

X X X Y - 3 fire balls followed by a wide, horizontal, energy wave that goes
straight ahead. Travels much farther than her X Y attack.

- OTHER ATTACKS:

Jump + X - Shoots a fireball downwards. Innate fire element.
(can randomly set enemies on fire)

Jump + Y - punches the ground causing a shockwave attack. Disorients enemies.

Dash + X - A skip forward with a kick.

Deadlock Attack - 2 Punches to the opponents gut, followed by Gracia throwing
	the opponent behind her.

STAGE: Battle of Osaka Bay

HINT: Enable the Swift Transport of Supplies

WHAT TO DO: Within 10 minutes of the start of the stage you must escort
Terumoto Mori to the North East Fort.

DIRECTIONS: First, Wait for the mission to Capture the Southern Ship. Once you
receive the mission, then complete it by defeating Murashige Araki. This will
allow the supply ship to come. It won't come immediately, so while you are
waiting, start going up the center of the map defeating any enemies, reserve
captains and generals you may come across. (especially Hideyoshi and Katsuie).
Then (after about 3 minutes) when the supply ship appears, you must escort
Terumoto Mori to the fort in the North East corner of the map. Terumoto won't
head straight for the fort, instead, he is going to stop and fight EVERY enemy
that he comes across. So make sure you take out anything in his path before he
gets there. And, if possible, try to get behind him with your horse and push
him a long.

WHERE IT APPEARS: On the outside of the North west fort. South of Ranmaru,
near the south east corner of the fort.

This will allow you to seize the fort. After that, wait for the mission to
defeat Junkei Tsutsui and Nagahide Niwa and defeat them. Next, Oda will
send out a 2nd wave of soldiers comprising of Toshiie Maeda, Narimasa Sassa
and Hidemasa Hori. Once you get the mission, defeat those three. After that
there is really nothing else to it. However, since there
are some long conversations, you may to pause the game to freeze the clock
when someone talks, then unpause it when they are done. That way, the long
winded talks won't affect your time.

WHERE IT APPEARS: above the north entrance to the center fort.

			6. E L E M E N T A N A L Y S I S (ELEM)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now that you can customize your weapons you can put which ever element you want
on which ever weapon you want, providing that you have the money and the orb
to do so. However, as with any other Samurai Warriors character, it would be
wise to consider each elements strength and weakness before just slapping one
on.

SHURA / DEATH / DEMON:

Sadly, this element was nerfed. Now when this element
activates you have a 50/50 chance to kill normal enemies or deal zero damage
to them. It also cannot kill officers anymore. Meaning if they have only 1 point
of life left, and you hit them with an attack that activates this element...
they'll survive. That's because it only does a percentage of their current
health worth of damage to them. However, does this nerf really affect Gracia?
yes and no. Honestly, her moves that activate elements are more for pushing a
single person or a small group away than to cause damage. So it can be
beneficial if a lone officer with high health was able to get close to you, you
can push them away and really hurt them. But it becomes somewhat worthless if
you're trying to use it to kill groups of enemies, as your specials will do a
much better job.

FIRE:

Looking at her moves that activate elements, this one works well. Most
times when an enemy is flying away, they'll go far enough back that the fire
can do a noticeable amount of extra damage. However, it is still a small amount
and fire damage is usually best as "bonus" damage to an already strong attack.
Combining a weak attack with small amounts of added fire damage is O.K., but
won't always help you.

LIGHTNING:

Though usually my favorite element, this one is BAD for Gracia. The
effect of lightning cancels out the throw back and instead makes enemies fall
where they are. Not to mention they can usually get back up and attack you
before you can move away. The chain effect can be nice if it's a large group
packed together, otherwise the benefit is only minor.

** Some people have argued against this being a bad element for Gracia. And
it appears I was wrong in saying so. At least in, it depends on how you
play as her. If you rely on her special moves and her distance attacks
(Like I do), then this element doesn't help you. However, if you
prefer to play her as a melee fighter, then this element helps A LOT!
If you can stun an enemy with this element, then it allows you to set
them up for some massive, if not infinite combos. Couple this with
her attack up aura, and she can be quite deadly in melee combat!

ICE:

A decent element. It gives you a percent chance to freeze an enemy. This
means that they will either fly away or be frozen in place for more punishment.

WIND:
Another good element for Gracia. It gives you a percent chance to break
an opponents guard allowing the attack to take place, giving you better odds
to send people packing.

So which do you choose? Well, that's up to you and your play style.
If you prefer to play Gracia as a Distance striker and only use her elemental
attacks for breathing room, then Ice or Wind would be the best bets. Fire
could also be a possibility if you want add more damage instead.

If you want to use her in Melee, Lightning is apparently the way to go, or
possibly even ice, so that you may set up the enemies for some combo
punishment.

Additionally, even though Shura/Demon/Death has been toned down, it is still
a decent element against Officers. Especially for when you initially start
to fight against them when their health is full.

			7. S T O R Y M O D E (STORY)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

#####################
# Battle of Anegawa #
#####################

- Simple stage. Just like any other Battle of Anegawa on the Oda side. Only
exception is that Magoichi will follow you around and fight with you.

You start at the North East corner of the map. Magoichi will be with you and
Hideyoshi will be nearby. You will also have 2 enemy officers to deal with.
Start out by supporting Magoichi, stand behind him and unleash fireballs on
groups of peons and whichever officer he is fighting. When that officer is
finished, move on to the 2nd one. Depending on where he moved to, Hideyoshi
may also be helping you fight this one as well. Remember to Use your Charge 1
to refill your musou and your RB+Y to refill your health as needed. With both
of them defeated, you may as well head North and claim the fort.

After you claim the fort (or maybe sooner) you should get a message saying how
now is the time to attack the Azai Main camp. Sounds like a good idea, so head
to the large fort in the center of the North part of the map. Defeat the
officer(s) outside of the fort to open the doors. Inside you'll face Oichi.
Take her out and claim this fort. By now Nagamasa should be attacking the Oda
Fort. DON'T go and attack him. He is in Hyper Mode and he can kill you with
one hit lucky hit. Instead, while Magoichi is still following you around, go
around and start killing other generic officers and reserve captains until you
get a message saying that The fatigue has gotten to Nagamasa and Nagamasa will
say something along the lines of "this will be my final attack". When those
messages appear, that means that he is no longer in Hyper Mode. So make your
way to him, and take him out.

With Nagamasa dead, Yoshikage Asakura will say something about showing Nobunaga
"the power of the Asakura" and lead a full out charge. At this point, head to
Ieyasus location, as all the Asakura generals will be coming out of the far West
fort and Ieyasu won't be far from there. Defeat the all the Asakura Generals
(or just Yoshikage) and finish the stage.

##########################
# Battle of Mikatagahara #
##########################

- Same as any other version on Ieyasus side. Magoichi will still fight with
you and protect you at first, but not as much.

This stage is all about keeping Ieyasu alive. Right from the start of the
stage he'll be surrounded by three officers. Rush over and take them out.
When those three are defeated, head to the north east fort and rescue your ally
by taking out the officer there as well. Now head back towards Ieyasu and take
out the officer north of the central fort. With him gone, Ieyasu will charge
straight into the center fort... and into a trap. Defeat the guard captain
outside to get in, and take out the officers in there. With them gone, and
Ieyasu safe again, him and Mago will have a short conversation and Ieyasu will
proceed more slowly and cautiously. However, after Ieyasu leaves the center
fort and begins heading south, Shingen will spring another ambush and 4 officers
will appear. They'll all head for Ieyasu, so if you wandered away from him for
any reason, rush back and protect him. With those 4 officers defeated, Ieyasu
will continue toward the escape point. However, moments after those officers
are defeated, Shingen will unleash his final attack. He'll lock the gates to
the escape point, summon an ambush of peons in front of it, and open his own
gates that he may charge after you himself. Since the only way to open the
gates is to defeat Shingen, may as well meet up with him and take him out.
He'll have a generic officer with him, but that shouldn't pose much of a threat
for you. Also, around now (if hasn't shown up already) Sakon Shima will appear
outside the gate of the escape point and guard it. If possible, you'll want to
face Shingen far away from Sakon, as if they team up, they can cause some
considerable damage to you. With Shingen defeated, the gates will open. Make
sure Ieyasu gets inside and end the stage.

#######################
# Battle of Osaka Bay #
#######################

- Same as other versions. Except special conversation when you fight Mitsuhide.
Magoichi will not fight with you as he is the Leader in this battle.

You'll notice that you start this stage with low morale. So first thing you
want to do is make sure your troops get supplies. so take the south route
towards Murashige Araki and defeat him. This will cause some bridges to drop
and allow the supply ship to show up later. With the bridge down, head north up
the center of the map, defeating all officers, defense captains and reserve
captains that you meet. When you reach the top, turn right and take out the
officers up there (especially Katsuie) so that you have a clean path from the
southern ship to the North East fort. By now, the supply ship should of
appeared and Terumoto Mori will be making his way toward the fort you just
cleared a path too. He'll stop and fight any enemy you may of missed, but as
long as you got the officers, he should be ok.

After Terumoto Makes it to the fort (or fails) the Oda warship will appear
with reinforcements and start bombing your troops with cannon fire. At the
same time, all the gates on the North West fort will open and Nobunaga will
issue an order for all troops to head out. Some will go towards Magoichi while
others, such as Nobunaga, head towards the ship. Heading for the ship is
actually a good idea, so go there too. Once there take out the Guards and
Reserve captains to take control of the cannons. While you're on the ship,
you'll also run into Mitsuhide. You'll share a couple of words with him, then
he'll start fighting you. So, take him out!

About now, if he hasn't already, Magoichi will point out that the path on the
island in the south west is open now. If you want, you can head there for a
couple of treasure chests and a weapon. But not right now! You have
something else to do first! While you were taking over the cannons and
fighting Mitsuhide, Magoichi probably got surrounded by a number of officers,
and is fighting an uphill battle. So head to your home base and just
destroy anyone in your way. Take out all the officers, a lot of the peons
and all of the reserve and gate captains. Once your sure that Mago is safe,
then you can head to the Island.

Now, the only thing left is to take out any remaining officers (if you want)
and Nobunaga. Nobunaga has moved, so you won't find him in the North West fort
anymore, instead he'll be on the War Ship trying to reclaim his Reserve and
Gate Captains. So head down there and take him out to finish the stage.

########################
# Assault on the Saika #
########################

- Same as others. Magoichi fights with you until the South East fort is taken,
then leaves the battlefield. Reappears near Nobunaga later, then leaves the
battlefield again.

The stage starts with you and Mago outside the South East fort. Once you get
inside, claim the fort by taking out Hideyoshi and Hidenaga. Once the fort is
yours, Mago will leave the battlefield. At the same time, Nobunaga will send
2 Officers to reclaim the Fort. Once you take them out, Nobunaga will send out
a 2nd wave of 3 officers. One of which will be Toshiie. When those 3 are taken
out, he will send a final third wave to reclaim the fort. Doing this will
weaken his defenses and cause Mago to return to the battlefield in Nobunagas
fort.

The third wave of officers don't really move that much, so take this time to
go around to all your allies and save them. Take out any officers near them
(or if none are near them, just walk/ride over to them) and you will be asked
to help them escape. Now you must make sure that all of your officers get to
the escape point, which is the gate right below the south east fort. Be
patient while doing this, because some of them will stop to fight any
officer/peon that they come across and won't start moving again until the area
is clear. So it is imperative that you take out any reserve captains to prevent
the spawning of more enemies.

Now, with all your officers rescued, and almost all of Nobunagas defeated, its
time to head for the main man himself. Mago will probably have left the
battlefield again by now, and if he hasn't, getting close to Nobunagas fort
will trigger the event. So, with nothing else to do, take out Nobunaga, and
any lingering officers, and end the stage.

####################
# Flight from Home #
####################

- You're located at the North West corner of the map and you must reach the
Escape Point in the South East. You must also defeat Sakon Shima. Early into
the battle, Sakon will summon a fire attack which will cause road blocks,
preventing you from taking certain paths. Later in the battle, Magoichi will
appear and fight for you for a little bit. He'll then leave the battlefield
and start putting out the fires so other generals can remove the road blocks.
After the fire and roadblocks are gone, he will reappear and continue fighting
for you.

There isn't much you can do, once the fire starts. So just go around rescuing
your allies and killing opposing officers until Magoichi shows up. Shortly
after he'll start putting out the fires. when the fires are out, start
working your way towards Sakon. If you hit a road block, as long as you were
able to rescue your ally that was positioned near the road block, they will
have their troops clear the path for you.

When you finally get to the bottom right of the map, Simply take out Sakon and
his troops and walk towards escape point to finish the stage.

#########################################
# Incident at Shizugatake (Dream Stage) #
#########################################

- Kind of like a "fanboy Dream" Stage (Not that I'm complaining). All the
female characters (as well as a few generic males) come together for a battle
to determine who is the best. And it is you versus all of them, with Magoichi
acting as your commander (while hiding inside of a fort). As you defeat each
female, Magoichi will take and place her inside a locked fort. (While
pitifully trying to flirt with each one) Once all the females have been
defeated, Magoichi will leave the battlefield to "rest for upcoming events".
When he is gone, Gracia will start thinking about her and Magoichis actions
just now, and how should she continue. She'll have a talk with the other
ladies and then you will go around to each fort and rescue all of them and
have them join you. Once they are all rescued, Magoichi will return to
the field in Hyper Mode. You Must now Defeat Magoichi in order to
"teach him a lesson".
