Your Dead Eye meter is the red meter on your mini-map on the bottom right of the screen. This feature comes in three levels: 1. Ability to shoot in slow motion. 2. Selects targets automatically. 3. Manual select parts of your enemies and select objects. Your meter will refil automatically when not being used but will regenerate much quicker if you get headshots. You can also purchase Chewing Tabacco and Moonshine from shops in the towns that will refill your Dead Eye quicker. Fame is gained by killing people, completing challenges, winning duels, doing jobs, and completing missions. High honour will bring you discounts for shops and higher pay for jobs, witnessess and posses are also less likely to care about your slip ups as well. Your honour is affected by many small choices you make in the game, such as if you choose to kill or disarm a target, and the choices you make in some of the main story missions. All honour perks are layered. If your crime is reported to the law a bounty will be placed on you and you will become wanted. Your wanted level will dimish when you are out of range of lawmen and civilians, a red circle will show you the laws position relative to yours while you are wanted. Your bounty depends on your crime, if you hold a high bounty over your head except to have more lawmen pursuing you than if you had a lower bounty. For example, killing somebody warrants a higher bounty than lassoing somebodies horse. You can pay off your bounty in cash at Telegraph offices or use pardon letters. If you give up to the law you will be sent to jail where yo will lose the value of your bounty in cash. Minor crimes are reported to lawmen by eye witnesses, you can deal with them by eiher bribing or killing them before that can report your crime to the authorities. You can also bribe lawmen for either 50% or 25% of your bounty depending on your fame rank. You can wear a bandana, which can be purchased at the tailor in Thieves' Landing and the Escalera General Store to protect your identity while committing crimes. While wearing the banada your fame and honour will not change and your Wanted Level will disappear faster than normal. The blue blip will follow Jake, follow him to the horses and follow the onscreen tutorial to mount your horse. Ride with Jake on the way to Fort Mercer, you will be shown how to stay close while you listen in on the conversation. Once you arrive at Fort Mercer walk to the yellow X, which is marked by a yellow blip on the map. ����������������������������������������������������������������� NEW FRIENDS, OLD PROBLEMS [BM.02] _________________________________________________________________ Requirements: o Exodus in America [BM.01] ___________________________________________________ Exit the house and make your way to the blue blip and meet Bonnie. Walk with her to the horses and mount your horse and ride along with Bonnie as she gives you a tour of the Macfarlane Ranch. Once back at the stockade hitch your horse and walk to the yellow X. Bonnie will give you a Repeater Carbine for helping her keep watch. Mount your horse again and ride with Miss Macfarlane, once you reach the garden and begin shooting the rabbits, which appear as red blips on your map. Once you have taken care of a few rabbits, follow Bonnie to the corral and shoot the coyotes. More will appear at the chicken coop, activate Dead Eye and aim at each of the coyotes to kill them. Follow Bonnie back to the stockade and hitch your horse then follow the tutorial on how to save your game and change outfits. ����������������������������������������������������������������� OBSTACLES IN OUR PATH [BM.03] _________________________________________________________________ Requirements: o New Friends, Old Problems [BM.02] ___________________________________________________ Mount your horse and ride over to the yellow X, marking the start line of the race. When Bonnie signals the start of the race spure your horse ahead to the first waypoint. Once you have gained a comfortable lead you can conservatively finish the race. Make sure not to ride your horse too hard or it will buck you off, also be sure to stay on the track or you will be slowed down. Watch for the narrow bridges on the course, if you do not hit them correctly your horse will leap into the canyon and you will die. Try slowing down if you are uncomfortable with your alignment towards the bridge. Win or lose, Bonnie will send you the way of Marshal Johnson. ����������������������������������������������������������������� THIS IS ARMADILLO, USA [BM.04] _________________________________________________________________ Requirements: o Obstacles in Our Path [BM.03] ___________________________________________________ Walk over to the drivers side of the wagon and use the mount button to take the whip. Follow the road with your wagon to town. Once you arrive in Armadillo walk into the doctor's office and get medicine, for the mission it won't cost your anything. Once the mission is over you may want to walk around town a little. ����������������������������������������������������������������� WOMEN AND CATTLE [BM.05] _________________________________________________________________ Requirements: o This is Armadillo, USA [BM.04] ___________________________________________________ Ride with Bonnie to the cattle pen and move to the yellow X. To move the cattle simply go to the opposite side you want them to go. Move the cattle out of the pen and out to the pasture. Sweap behind them to keep them moving straight, if you want them to go fasture use the whistler command or fire a shot into the air behind them. Meet with the other herd in the pasture then drive them to the oak tree. Watch for strays, which are marked darker than the rest of the cattle on your map. You can go back for them while the rest of the herd moves forward, send the herd to the yellow X to complete the mission. ����������������������������������������������������������������� WILD HORSES, TAMED PASSIONS [BM.06] _________________________________________________________________ Requirements: o Women and Cattle [BM.05] ___________________________________________________ You will receive a lasso from Bonnie, which will automatically become your primary weapon for this mission. Follow Mr. Macfarlane to the herd of wild horses. To get a horse aim your lasso as you would a firearm and throw it, keep trying until you nab one. Once you get a horse jump off yours (hold the fire button) and walk towards the wild horse. Mount the wild horse and use the thumbstick to balance on the bucking horse. Once the horse has been broken to can dismount it and get back on your horse. Follow Bonnie to Mr. Macfarlane, who heads back to the ranch. Bonnie will egg you on to get another horse. Follow the icons on your map to another horse, then lasso and break it as you did before. Go back to your horse again and follow Bonnie back to the Macfarlane Ranch. From the ranch ride with Bonnie to the meeting place, when you arrive Bonnie will instruct you to drive the herd up the canyon. Move around the left side of the horses and drive them forward towards the yellow blip. Moving the horses will be more challenging than cattle, remember to yell at them and fire warning shots if they try to go off course. At the canyon a stallion will escape, pursue it and lasso it as you did with the others. Mount the stallion and break it and you will be awarded with your very own horse! ����������������������������������������������������������������� A TEMPEST LOOMS [BM.07] _________________________________________________________________ Requirements: o Wild Horses, Tamed Passions [BM.06] ___________________________________________________ Mount your horse and with Bonnie to the range, she will bring you to a herd of 11 cattle. Drive the herd to the oak tree, which is the yellow blip on your map. Watch for stragglers, you will be notified on your screen when you have lost a cow and it will appear as a darker blip on your map. To gather a straggler, ride around it and push it back towards the herd, if it doesn't want to go you can fire a shot in the air behind it. Once you get the herd to the oak tree a bolt of lightning will strike the tree. The cattle runs off towards a cliff. Immediately sprint around the right side of the herd to the front. Stop in front of them firing several several warning shots before the make it to the cliff. You will not fail the mission as long as half of the cattle are remaining. Ride back to Bonnie once you have stopped the herd, she will tell you that the herd needs to get back before the weather gets any worse. Just as you did before, drive the herd to the yellow blip on your map, making sure to round up the stragglers on the way. ����������������������������������������������������������������� THE BURNING [BM.08] _________________________________________________________________ Requirements: o Wild Horses, Tamed Passions [BM.07] o Spoil the Rod, Spare the Bandit [MJ.02] ___________________________________________________ Ride with Bonnie outside the ranch until she discovers her father. After speaking with Mr. Macfarklane, he sends both you and Bonnie back to the ranch for a wagon. Follow Bonnie to the ranch and you will see the smoke coming from the barn. Keep up with Bonnie as she races down to the fire. Walk to the front door and you will discover that it is jammed. Go around to the windmill next to the barn and climb the ladder. Leap to the wood awnings then to jump onto the platform. Carefully walk around the ledge to the barn and jump to the beam ahead. Slide to the left until you reach the walkway then pull yourself up and walk down to the entrance. Go down the ladder then jump to the ground, move to the barn doors and remove to pitchfork from the handles. Run to the first two horses and press the indicated button to release them out of their stalls. Hop on the remaining horse and ride it over the fallen debris to safety. Once outside, ride the horse to the corral to complete the mission. _______________________________________________________________________________ _____. ._____ ~(_]---' MARSHAL JOHNSON '---]_)~ /_(V [MJ.00] V)_\ ������������������������������������������������������������������������������� ����������������������������������������������������������������� POLITICAL REALITIES IN ARMADILLO [MJ.01] _________________________________________________________________ Requirements: o Obstacles in Our Path [BM.03] ___________________________________________________ Walk with Marshal Leigh Johnson to the sallon and he will tell you about a crew of robbers. Follow to onscreen tutorial to whistle for your horse, once your horse arrives jump on and catch up with the Marshal in pursuit of Walton. Eventually, the Marshal will tell you Walton is headed for Pleasance House and a cutscene will begin. Use cover to eliminate the red blips on your map. The outlaws will use a crate, a rock, and the outhouse as cover, wait until they poke their heads out and shoot them. Resupply your weapon by walking over the weapons next to the bodies. Once you reach the house there will be henchmen on either side, kill them and only Walton remains. --------- Option 1: Walton has a bounty on his head, take him alive to receive a cash reward and some honour. To do this you may either; fire at his legs, shoot his weapon out of his hand, or get him with your lasso, if you do not have a lasso you should use the former. Once Walton is incapacitated run to him to claim your bounty. Option 2: You can kill Walton and complete the mission, but will not get any cash and will lose honour. --------- Walton will come out of the house and begin shooting at you. After firing a couple shots he will run away, activate Dead Eye and aim accordingly with the options above. ����������������������������������������������������������������� JUSTICE IN PIKE'S BASIN [MJ.02] _________________________________________________________________ Requirements: o Political Realities in Armadillo [MJ.01] ___________________________________________________ Ride along Marshal Johnson and his deputies to Pike's Basin. When you reach your destination your checkpoint will update to the entrance of the basin. When the Marshal orders, dismount your horse and continue on foot. Guards will appear as red blips on your map, grab your rifle and aim for the enemy on the hill. Clear the rest of the gunmen out and move forward with Johnson and the deputies, use the sides as cover if necessary. Ahead are two more enemies, protect Marshal Johnson by taking them out. Marshal Johnson will then send you to the camp, kill the defending outlaws and search tents for footlockers. At the top of you hill you will meet a handful of snipers across the ravine. Take cover behind some rocks and take them out with your rifle, use Dead Eye if necessary. Continue once the snipers are dead, making your way to the bridge. Run across the bridge and help the deputies clear out the remaining outlaws. After crossing the second bridge Marshal Johnson will instruct you to move forward while being stealthy, go ahead and crouch with the lawmen and move forward. Not far ahead you will encounter the rest of the gang and at camp, look for TNT crates, shooting these will usually take out multiple enemies. Watch out for the livestock and hostages next to the broken wagon, killing any of them will result in a mission loss. When the gang members have been finished off, continue to the camp and free the hostages. ����������������������������������������������������������������� SPARE THE ROD, SPOIL THE BANDIT [MJ.03] _________________________________________________________________ Requirements: o Women and Cattle [BM.05] o Old Swindler's Blues [ND.01] o Justice in Pike's Basin [MJ.02] ___________________________________________________ Ride to Ridgewood the Marshal Johnson and the deputies. Halfway there you'll see vultures, move to the yellow blip on your map to the slaughtered settlers. Accompany the lawmen ahead, when you arrive at Ridewood Farm you'll notice that there is nobody around. Johnson will instruct you to search the buildings. Start with the shed, ride your horse in the shed and you will find nothing, now ride over to the outside and shoot the door open to uncover ... noting. Now move to the barn and shoot the boards on the barn door to open it. Take cover near the Marshal and use your rifle to kill the outlaws to run from the house, keep an eye out for the men on the balcony above. Once you have killed the men move to the front door with the Marshal and enter the house. Pull out your shotgun and take cover, there will be two bandits in the kitchen. Once you have taken care of them switch to your revolver and move upstairs. Behind the first door is a bandit and a hostage, kill the bandit without harming the woman and move to the closed door around the corner. Take cover and use Dead Eye to either disarm him (hand) or kill him (head). Exit the house and run over to the shed you searched earlier and listen to them speak at Marshal Johnson. Ride with the Marshal and you will run into Bill Williamson and his gang. Take cover behind to small brick wall and use your rifle to kill the outlaws before they can dismount from their horses. After the six gang members have been killed another group will come on horseback, take them out and finish the mission. ����������������������������������������������������������������� HANGING BONNIE MACFARLANE [MJ.04] _________________________________________________________________ Requirements: o The Burning [BM.08] o Spare the Rod, Spoil the Bandit [MJ.03] ___________________________________________________ Mount your horse and ride with Marshal Johnson, Eli, and Jonah; who has Deek hogtied on his horse. Your destination will be a ghost town called Tumbleweed, home of smugglers, bandits, and thieves. When you arrive, take Deek to the meeting by gunpoint. The outlaws will cancel the deal, immediately enter Dead Eye and target Deek and the three gang members. Once they are dead aim for the gunman on the church roof then take the right flank towards Bonnie. In the middle of the town, a bandit will kick the stool out from under Bonnie. You now have limited time, but do not ignore the outlaws and run to Bonnie, you will die. Use cover and take out the bandits while moving closer to Bonnie, going around the right side of town will provide least resistance. If you are taking too long use Dead Eye and target the rope to free Bonnie; otherwise clear the area of outlaws and approach Bonnie to cut her free. ����������������������������������������������������������������� THE ASSAULT ON FORT MERCER [MJ.05] _________________________________________________________________ Requirements: o Hanging Bonnie Macfarlane [MJ.04] o The Sport of Kings and Liars [ND.05] o Let the Dead Bury Their Dead [SE.03] o On Shaky's Ground [IR.03] ___________________________________________________ Once the cutscene is over gun down the seven gang members in front of you, you have unlimited ammo so don't worry about wasting any. More outlaws will run down the stairs to your left single file, spray them down as they come down the stairs. To your right next to the arch is a doorway, once you have taken out the enemies on the stairs focus in this area and shoot at the gunmen who come from the door. The rest of the gang members have retreated to the other side of the Fort, move ahead on foot the the lawmen. Move up the stairs on the parapet and take cover as you clear the path of outlaws. Keep an eye out for TNT crates which will help against concentrated enemies. Once the walkway is cleared go to the yellow X and meet with Marshal Johnson, Eli, Jonah, Seth, Irish. Nigel will warn you of enemy reinforcements outside the fort. Take note of the TNT crate straight ahead, if you are in danger of letting any outlaws close use that crate to blast them away. Mow down the offensive outlaws, using medicine to heal yourself if you take damage. The second wave of outlaws will come from the right accompanied with a wagon with a machinegun. The next group comes from the hills ahead, aim for the horses to stop them from getting close to the Fort, then aim for the wagon coming from the left. Nigel's health will go down at a steady pace, indicated on the top of your screen. Nigel will die if the bar is depletes before you reach Armadillo. Stay on the road, Nigel's health will go down quicker if you exit the road or hit anything. Shortly after taking the wagon, a couple outlaws assault the wagon. Shoot at them while moving forward, the wagon will stay on the road on its own while you are aiming at the outlaws. There will be a sharp turn that you should watch for on your map, if you take to turn too quickly you will flip the wagon and fail the mission. In the Two Crows area two more outlaws will attack, make sure to kill them without stopping the wagon, Dead Eye comes in handy here. Drive to the yellow X in Armadillo, once the mission ends you will not be able to do another Nigel Dickens mission until 8PM. ����������������������������������������������������������������� YOU SHALL NOT GIVE FALSE TESTIMONY, EXCEPT FOR PROFIT [ND.02] _________________________________________________________________ Requirements: o Women and Cattle [BM.05] o Old Swindler Blues [ND.01] ___________________________________________________ Drive Nigel Dickens to the yellow X just outside of the Ridgewood Farm, he doesn't want potential customers to know of your relationship so you'll have to walk the rest of the way. Walk up to Nigel during his sales pitch to begin your tasks. The skull will glow on the front porch, aim for the middle of of the glowing circle and fire. Most of the crowd is amazed, but one person demands you shoot another target. Draw your weapon, once the man throws his hat in the air activate Dead Eye and aim at the hat then press the fire trigger to light it up! Aquila didn't like it though, you'll now have to beat him in a fist fight. Throw punches at him until you are prompted to tackle him, use to indicated button to bring him to the ground and win the fight. Once Aquila gets up he'll draw a pistol, activate Dead Eye once again and target his hand to disarm him. Make sure not to kill him as it will result in a fail. Once you have disarmed Aquila the mission will end. ����������������������������������������������������������������� LIARS, CHEATS, AND OTHER PROUD AMERICANS [ND.03] _________________________________________________________________ Requirements: o Exhuming and Other Fine Hobbies [SE.01] ___________________________________________________ Take shotgun of the stagecoach and ride with to Gaptooth Breach with Nigel, you will be prompted to skip to your destination, I would recommend it as it is a long journey. Once you arrive hop on the horse cart and listen for the rule, no attacking other riders. There are several other carts in the race and 18 waypoints. The best strategy for this race is to use the first stretch to pass the other races and take first then carefully drive the path when you get a comfortable lead. Watch for sharp corners as the cart easily flips, crashing your cart or driving it off the bridge will not kill you but will result in a penalty that guarantees you lose your position. After winning the race hop on the Nigel's stagecoach and get out of there. ����������������������������������������������������������������� CAN A SWINDLER CHANGE HIS SPOTS? Immediately after the cutscene run to Nigel's stagecoach and ride shotgun. The angry workers will appear as red blips on your map as they race after you and will attack in groups on two or three. Equip a rifle and use Dead Eye to take out any enemies that get close to the coach, once you reach Gaptooth Ridge there will be a roadblock. Aim for the TNT crates in the back of the wagon then take out the enemy on the hill to your left using Dead Eye. When you cross to tracks ahead a wagon will come from your right, kill the rifleman first to avoid taking any damage then kill the driver. More gunmen will come after you until you reach Cueva Seca, which is your safe zone. ����������������������������������������������������������������� THE SPORT OF KINGS, AND LIARS [ND.05] _________________________________________________________________ Requirements: o Can a Swindler Change His Spots? Once you enter Gaptooth Ridge a mark will appear on your map at Benedict Point, where Moses is being held. Seth will tell you to distract the deputies so he can speak with Moses, the deputies will change to red blips on your map, marking them as enemies. Steal one of the deputies' horses and immediately ride out of there. They will pursue you until you run out of the circular area on the mini-map, once your bounty meter runs out return to Seth. After the cinematic equip your lasso and mount your horse, Moses doesn't get far before you reach him. If you are uncomfortable with using the lasso use Dead Eye to target Moses for an easy catch, now hogtie Moses and bring him back to Seth. Now that Seth has the treasure location he promises to help you out with your $20 bounty. Accompany Seth to the nearby telegraph office and approach the front desk. Since your bounty is only $20 you may want to pay the fine and save your pardon letter for another occasion, especially if you plan on robbing or killing people. ����������������������������������������������������������������� A GENTLE DRIVE WITH FRIENDS [SE.02] _________________________________________________________________ Requirements: o Exhuming and Other Fine Hobbies [SE.01] ___________________________________________________ Seth instructs you to drive to Tumbleweed, on the way make sure you don't accidently turn to Armadillo as it results in a fail. Just after the town treasure hunters attack, use Dead Eye to kill the enemies as they approach the wagon. Make sure you keep the treasure hunters at a distance, when they get close they will throw Molotov cocktails at the wagon. Continue towards Tumbleweed while keeping the attackers away, once you reach a bridge you are very close to your destination. On the other side of the bridge is a yellow X, drive at it to end the mission. ����������������������������������������������������������������� LET THE DEAD BURY THEIR DEAD [SE.03] _________________________________________________________________ Requirements: o A Gentle Drive With Friends [SE.02] ___________________________________________________ Move forward with Seth to the mansion, use cover to kill the treasure hunters next to the Sheriff's Office and the old Jail. Just as in "Hanging Bonnie Macfarlane", I suggest you take the right flank around town for the best cover. Avoid running straight up the middle when you go up the hill to the mansion, go around to right side and use the barricade near the mansion as cover. Watch out for the snipers in the windows of the mansion, if you do not target them early they will kill you. Once the guards are all dead move to the front porch and you'll find the door is locked. Move around the left side of the mansion to the cellar door and into the basement. Equip your shotgun and use the pillars as cover as you make your way to the green blip on your map. After clearing the basement move up the stairs to the ground floor, around the corner in the first room are a trio of treasure hunters. Sprint and take cover behind the destroyed wall and target the enemy on the stairs. Now take out the enemy behind the desk, then finally on the far right next to the window. Move up the stairs and take a left, use cover next to the door frame and kill the treasure hunter. Now go around the other way on the second floor to another bedroom and you'll encounter the final enemy guarding a treasure chest. Use Dead Eye to gun him down to finish the mission. _______________________________________________________________________________ _____. ._____ ~(_]---' IRISH '---]_)~ /_(V [IR.00] V)_\ ������������������������������������������������������������������������������� ����������������������������������������������������������������� A FRENCHMAN, A WELSHMAN AND AN IRISHMAN [IR.01] _________________________________________________________________ Requirements: o Liars, Cheats, and Other Proud Americans [ND.03] ___________________________________________________ Once the cutscene ends draw your weapon and active Dead Eye, target French and Welsh before that reach you and fire! When the two have fallen, another cinematic will begin. Mount your horse and accompany Irish to Lake Don Julio. Once you get to the destination on the cliff dismount your horse and equip your rifle. Use Dead Eye and target the enemies next to the rocks and crates in the camp. Move forward using cover and kill any remaining bandits. Once the camp is clear cautiously move to the cabin, once you get close to the cabin the front door will open and another enemy will attack. Enter the cabin and take the Double Barrled Shotgun and finish the mission. ����������������������������������������������������������������� MAN IS BORN UNTO TROUBLE [IR.02] _________________________________________________________________ Requirements: o A Frenchman, a Welshman, and an Irishman [IR.01] ___________________________________________________ Mount your horse and ride along with Irish to Gaptooth Reach, once you arrive Irish will point out the entrance and the lift and his plans to get the machine gun out of the mine. Wasting no time, two horseback guards attack after the cutscene. Use Dead Eye to target the enemies and gun them down. A yellow blip will show up on your map to mark the mine entrance. Use the cover in the camp for protection as you take out the guards, watch for the enemies on your right flank. When you've killed off the guards you may want to seach the tents for lockers containing cash, then move to the mine entrance. Work your way down the winding mineshaft, target lanterns and TNT crates for easy kills. Use the red blips on your mini-map as a reference to the locations of the guards. Some of the paths are blocked, be sure to follow the signs that point to the shaft and keep taking lefts. Eventually you'll notice railing to your right overlooking the core. Use this opportunity to target TNT crates and lanterns from above to take out a few of the guards, giving you the advantage for when you reach level ground with the enemies. Once you've cleared the area of enemies move to the yellow X and a scene will begin. Press the button indicated onscreen to grab the cart. Push the cart up the same path you took and to the yellow X. When the scene ends push the cart again. Gun down the attacking miners around the track, once you get to the hill you will see a guard placing TNT on the track, shoot the barrel to kill the miner and clear your path. Continue to the yellow X at the bottom of the hill and the mission will end. ����������������������������������������������������������������� ON SHAKY'S GROUND [IR.03] _________________________________________________________________ Requirements: o Man Is Born Unto Trouble [IR.02] ___________________________________________________ Follow Irish to the Shipping Yard & Depository to meet Shaky. When you arrive, the front door is locked and Irish seems surprised. Move to the back door, which is also locked. Walk over to the yellow blip to the ladder and climb up, follow the onscreen instructions to crouch to avoid being detected by whoever is inside the warehouse. Climb the next ladder ahead to the roof and slowly move to the yellow X to the open window on the other side of the peak. Sneak inside the warehouse on to the platform. Crouch on the platform until you see the first enemy, headshot him then drop to the floor and take cover next to the open doorway. Gun down the enemies holding Shaky, make sure you don't hit Shaky as you'll fail the mission. Once the bandits are dead search the footlocker in the office then exit the office. Use the crates in the warehouse as cover, there is a TNT crate on the landing across from you, shoot it to take out two bandits then pick off the others and follow Shaky to the exit. Approach the gate on open it using the action button. Take cover once again and clear the yard of the bandits. Follow Shaky ahead, prepare to take cover once more as you will be ambushed by more enemies near the crates. Take shotgun of the wagon Irish is driving, bandits will assault as soon as you leave Thieves; Landing. Quickly gun down the pursuing horsemen then look ahead for another on hte bridge, get him from a distance with your rifle. When the attack is over Irish will bring you to the Macfarlane Ranch. ����������������������������������������������������������������� WE SHALL BE TOGETHER IN PARADISE [IR.04] _________________________________________________________________ Requirements: o The Assault on Fort Mercer [MJ.04] ___________________________________________________ Before any action begins, get the Springfield Rifle off the crate behind Irish, go to the start menu then go under "Weapons" to select it as your rifle. There is an ammo box on the raft as well, use it when you run low for your Springfield. Take cover behind crates and watch for bandits on the high ground on either side of the river. Some enemies will throw dynamite your way, the first stick they throw will always be short of the raft so consider it your warning, the next throw might do damage. Watch for TNT crates next to bandits for easy kills, and make sure to reload your Springfield during downtime. At Greenhollow you will encounter a difficult fight with bandits, make sure to get them before they can hit the raft with TNT, headshots are a must as you Springfield has a slower rate of fire and doesn't hold much ammo. After a seemingly endless ride, the raft will reach the beach and you'll see your horse waiting. Wait for the bandits to appear to the right, take them out and wait for Irish to say that you made it. Once it's clear approach your horse to end the mission. _______________________________________________________________________________ _____. ._____ ~(_]---' LANDON RICKETTS '---]_)~ /_(V [LR.00] V)_\ ������������������������������������������������������������������������������� ����������������������������������������������������������������� THE GUNSLINGER'S TRAGEDY [LR.01] _________________________________________________________________ Requirements: o We Shall Be Together In Paradise [IR.04] ___________________________________________________ Draw your fancy new Schofield Revolver and follow the instructions onscreen, enter Dead Eye and target the three bottles then press the fire trigger to shoot them. Now Landon Ricketts leads you to a flock of vultures. He fires a warning shot to frighten them, as soon as he does this activate Dead Eye and target as many birds as possible, you need at least two. Follow Ricketts back into town, the conversation will be interrupted by Ramon who informs you that the bank wagon is under attack. Mount your horse and ride with Ricketts to the wagon, quickly kill the two enemies in front. Move closer to the wagon and use Dead Eye to kill the gunmen holding the hostage, make sure you don't hit the hostage! Landon Ricketts will take the wagon, ride ahead of him and protect the wagon. Around the first corner of the road you will encounter a rockblock. Aim for the lanterns on the wagon using Dead Eye to clear the road and continue ahead of the wagon until you get back to town. ����������������������������������������������������������������� LANDON RICKETTS RIDES AGAIN [LR.02] _________________________________________________________________ Requirements: o The Gunslinger's Tragedy [LR.01] ___________________________________________________ You have the option of taking to train to Casa Madrugada or riding, I suggest taking the train then skipping to your destination to save some time. Once in Casa Madrugada mount your horse and follow Ricketts to El Matadero. Follow Landon inside the butcher shop to meet with Carlos. Accompany Landon and Carlos to the ravine, follow the yellow blip on your map to the rock where you need to take cover when Carlos distracts the guards. Follow Landon Ricketts to the caves once the guards have been distracted. Luisa's cell will now be marked by a yellow blip on your map. At the entrance of the cave you will run into a few Mexican soldiers, take cover behind the boxes and use your shotgun to take out the soldiers. Keep Ricketts safe as you make your way to the cell. At Luisa's cell you need to guard Ricketts while he breaks Luisa free, take cover next to Ricketts and use your shotgun to blast away at guards who come around the corner. Now that Ricketts is carrying Luisa you will need to protect them, stay ahead of them and clear the caves of the soldiers. Outside the caves mount your horse and ride ahead of Ricketts, keep an eye out for soldiers on the high ground, they will do most of the damage. After clearing the ravine hold up for Landon and wait for Carlos to meet you. ����������������������������������������������������������������� LUCKY IN LOVE [LR.03] _________________________________________________________________ Requirements: o Landon Ricketts Rides Again [LR.02] ___________________________________________________ Start the mission by playing two rounds of Texas Hold'em, if you are unfamiliar with the game follow the onscreen tutorial, if not use the indicated button to skip the tutorial. It doesn't matter though, after the two rounds Herr Muller accuses you of cheating. On your way to the duel with Muller, Landon gives you some tips: " Don't draw first, if your opponent draws first the camera will zoom in further for you and your shots will be easier to aim. " Don't waste your shots on non-lethal areas when going for a kill, aim for the chest and head if you plan on downing your enemy. " You will gain more honour if you disarm your opponent instead of killing them, to do this lock on to their gun. Once you're ready step to the yellow X to duel Muller, there will be instructions on screen to give you basics on how to duel. Wait until Muller draw then use the aiming trigger to draw your weapon, a good indicator is to wait for the meter on the bottom right to move. Disarm Muller instead of killing him if you want to gain honour from the duel, if not, kill him. After your duel with Muller, another stranger appears with a hostage and wants to fight. In this duel you must shoot the stranger in the head and kill him without harming the hostage. Following your second duel Muller's posse assaults. Take cover and take them down with the aid of Landon Ricketts. ����������������������������������������������������������������� THE MEXICAN WAGON TRAIN [LR.04] _________________________________________________________________ Requirements: o Lucky in Love [LR.03] ___________________________________________________ Mount your horse and ride with Landon to Escalera, listen in on the conversation to find out how Ricketts feels about the Mexican Army. Not far into your journey you'll come across two prison wagons and a few soldiers on horses. You must take the wagons from the Mexican Army, but cannot damage them. Start by helping Ricketts take out the horseback soldiers from behind. Then use Dead Eye to carefully tag the driver of the prison wagon and Ricketts will take over the drivers side. Move ahead to the front wagon and kill the driver, take over the wagon and stay ahead of Ricketts. The plan is to take the prisoners over the border, follow the route on your map and make sure you don't do anything to harm the prisoners or wreck the wagon. Next to the bridge horseback soldiers will attack you, there will also be a few Mexican soldiers on the bridge trying to stop you. Pick off the horseback soldiers then shoot the TNT crate on the right side of the bridge to eliminate the blockade and some enemies. On the next span of the bridge you will encounter more soldiers who will throw Molotov cocktails your way, take them out before they can harm you by targetting the TNT crate on the left. If your health is high race across the bridge to the finish around the corner, if it is low enter Dead Eye and take out the gunner on the boat to your left and proceed. The yellow X just after the bridge marks the end of the mission. _______________________________________________________________________________ _____. ._____ ~(_]---' VINCENT DE SANTA '---]_)~ /_(V [VD.00] V)_\ ������������������������������������������������������������������������������� ����������������������������������������������������������������� CIVILIZATION, AT ANY PRICE [VD.01] _________________________________________________________________ Requirements: o We Shall Be Together in Paradise [IR.04] ___________________________________________________ You can choose to either hop on De Santa's wagon or ride along with your own horse, it's quicker to ride on the wagon and skip to your destination. When you reach Chuparosa, mount a horse and follow Vincent De Santa to the train. On the top of your screen is an indicator of the trains damage, don't let it run out or you will fail the mission. Targets will appear as red blips on your map as the assault the train, use a rifle and keep an eye out on your mini-map as well as listen to De Santa call them out. Your enemies are a mixture of horseback rebels and gunmen using rocks as cover. Ride in front of the train so you can move to either side easily. Make sure your Dead Eye is filled when you reach the tunnel, spur ahead of the train and stay on the right-hand side. There is a large company of men ready to ambush the train on the other side. A cutscene will play once you make it to the yellow X in Casa Madrugada. Race to and ride along the right-hand side of the train once again, pick off the enemies using a rifle and Dead Eye if required. After killing all the rebels approach the train engine and press the indicated buttons once you are prompted. As you board the train the mission will end. ����������������������������������������������������������������� THE DEMON DRINK [VD.02] _________________________________________________________________ Requirements: o Civilization, at Any Cost [VD.01] ___________________________________________________ Mount your horse and ride with Vincent De Santa to Tesoro Azul, not long after you depart he challenges you to race him to your destination. Spur ahead on him and follow the yellow path on your mini-map to Tesoro Azul. Enter the hideout with your rifle equipped and take cover, draw your attention to the enemy behind the crates in the middle then focus on the snipers on the roofs. After the gunfight a yellow X appears in the center of the fort. Move to the green blip on your mini-map and pickup the Fire Bottles, hurl them towards the buildings indicated by yellow blips to complete the mission. ����������������������������������������������������������������� EMPTY PROMISES [VD.03] _________________________________________________________________ Requirements: o The Demon Drink [VD.02] ___________________________________________________ Hop on your horse and follow Captain De Santa to the wagons ahead, once you reach the convoy dismount your horse and ride shotgun with De Santa. Nearing the end of your trip the wagon in front of you will explode, look to the right and pick off the gunmen then aim towards the horseback rebels riding behind you. De Santa will drive to the Mexican Army camp, get off the wagon and enter the camp with De Santa. Grab to Rolling Block sniper rifle on the table and select it. Aim for the heads of the rebels above and pick the off, they aren't moving so it shouldn't be too difficult. Move forward with the soldiers to the yellow blip, grab some cover and use your sniper to kill the moving targets. Shooting while in Dead Eye will guarantee you to waste less rounds. Once the area is clear of enemies switch back to a different weapon, you have limited sniper ammo and it will be useful later on. Continue with the army and take cover when you run into more rebels. If you encounter any groups on enemies behind cover consider throwing Fire Bottles towards them. Run with the soldiers up the valley to the next towards the fort, take cover behind the ruins and pick off the enemy snipers with your Rolling Block. Carefully move to each rock and wall ahead while killing rebels. If you have any ammo left for your Rolling Block use it to kill the rebels along the far wall of the fort then make the final push forward. Meet with De Santa once the area is clear of enemies. _______________________________________________________________________________ _____. ._____ ~(_]---' GANG HIDEOUTS '---]_)~ /_(V [03.00] V)_\ ������������������������������������������������������������������������������� Gang hideouts are home to bandits, outlaws, gang members, and others that terrorize the rest of the population for their own exploits. These are usually forts or small abandonned towns that they have taken over as their own. Raiding these hideouts often brings rewards such as fame, honour, cash, weapons, and whatever the fallen baddies are carrying! Clearing the gang hideouts will also bring you closer to 100% completion. You may also complete these missions more than once, after you clear a gang hideout they will respawn and you can fight them again. _______________________________________________________________________________ _____. ._____ ~(_]---' WEAPONS '---]_)~ /_(V [08.00] V)_\ ������������������������������������������������������������������������������� Weapons are graded out of 10 on five factors : Power, Range, Rate of Fire, Reload Speed, and Ammo Capacity. The higher they are graded the better they perform, there is no overall rating for weapons. To choose the right weapons for you check the numbers and read the description. Look for wanted posters, marked with a skull on your map, around towns to behind a Bounty Hunter mission. You are required to complete all 20 Bounty Hunter missions to achieve 100% completion of the game. Bounties can be claimed dead or alive, claiming a live bounty is slightly more difficult but you will receive a much higher reward than if you kill the bounty. Bounty targets are guarded by gang members or outlaws, the target will be marked as a red skull and the others will be red blips. Once you kill or capture the bounty you will be pursued by more enemies on your way back to town, the amount of pursuers depends on the difficulty.
