> I have just finished the story mode and am going to try and finish up
  the updates section before going to bed. Then I'll send it in and 
  hopefully have it up soon. I spent a lot of time on this game and this
  FAQ so hopefully it helps out a lot of people. If you are looking into
  playing this game then I would definitly go for it. Weather you rent or
  buy it is up to you. It really is a great game and one I'll be playing 
  for years to come.

> I went the whole game without getting any of those markers or things. 
  What I want to do is make a map of the whole island and then put a dot
  for each one to show each location. It will take me a while to do though.

Hello and welcome to my Prototype guide. If you have any questions/comments
or if I made a mistake let me know. I set up an e-mail and it's at the top
of this guide. I don't usually give in to video game hype but for this game
it was different. It looked like it would be fun and it hasn't disappointed
me. I guess I got a little obsessed with it, which I don't usually do with
games anymore. It's a long FAQ and it's not done yet. I hope you find what
you're looking for.

In your pause menu you will see a picture of the controller and it will 
show you all of the commands in case you have forgotten.

Move (L): The (L) analog which is used to move.

Your name is Alex Mercer. People call you a killer, monster a terrorist. 
You're all of these things. The game begins with Alex doing a little intro
to the game. Three weeks prior to this moment someone unleashed a deadly
virus. Out of the alleyway a bunch of infected people come rushing towards
the military and some random girl. They kill them and then shoot her.
Then out of no where Alex appears and kills the military, because he 
wants to make them pay for doing what they did to him. 

After that cinema is over you get to play around a bit. If you click start
you'll notice you don't have access to most of the options listed there.
That's alright, you don't need them now.

[FIRST MISSION]
 > Kill the military personnel.

This is simple enough. Use your basic punch with X or use special attack
by using Y to kill the military that surrounds you. If you look at the map
you'll notice they're little red dots. 

After you defeat them sprint [Hold RT] a little bit forward until you 
see the little blue arrow. You'll see a quick scene and Alex will whip out
his claw. The next objective is the same as the last one, defeat the
military. 

[Next objective]
> Kill the military personnel.

[Tips]
> Hold X to use claws
> Hold Y to charge a ground spike attack to defeat enemies from a distance.
> Hold LT to target an enemy and to slow down time a bit.

After you defeat them, regain some health by walking over the red orbs
and continue to the blue arrow again.

[Next objective]
 > Destroy the tanks.

At this time your hands will turn into what's called the Hammerfist. 
You should remember that they're perfect for blowing up tanks, as you'll
have to do a few times in this game. Use the X button to smash up the
tanks until there are none left.

After you're done, once again go to the blue arrow. A small scene will
take place and some Hunters will arrive. They are some annoying mutated
creatures that are infected and you will need to defeat them.

[Next objective]
> Defeat the Hunters.

[Tips]
> It's best to not kill these guys all the way. When given the option, it's
  always best to absorb them by weakening them until you see a red circle
  over their bodies. Press B and then Y to absorb them. You'll regain a lot
  more life this way.

You'll get rid of your Hammerfist power and bring out the Blade. This power
is by far the strongest one of them all. An easy way to defeat an enemy
with the blade is to jump high by holding A and then targeting an enemy,
then holding Y will slice them in half. That is of course as long as they're
not bosses or anything.

After you finish beating the Hunters, another scene will take place with
some helicopters. You'll see a commander do his little order and you're
back to Alex.

[Next objective]
> Consume the Commander

Consuming is easy. For humans all you need to do is go up to them and 
grab them by holding B, and then press Y when it says "consume" on 
your screen. There is also a command you can do called stealth consume,
but more on that later on.

Follow the arrow to the commander and then absorb him. You'll automatically
enter critical mass mode which will make you do a devastator attack 
which will kill everyone around you.

The next scene is Alex talking to some military guy who seems to either
be his friend or someone he feels he can trust. Then he states that
the person who did that to him will die tonight.

Now we're back to where Alex mentioned before, the morgue. Some guys
dressed up like they're afraid of quarantine are making small talk,
mentioning they knew Alex and he worked for something called Blacklight.
They're going over him a bit, mentioning someone named Dana and they
think that's his wife. One of them goes to cut him open but he wakes up.

The men run out of there because they know Alex was a test subject. The
alarm goes off and then so do you. Outside a helicopter lands and some
men come out. From around the corner you see them getting mad at the
scientists. Like it's their fault you're not dead. Then the guys 
get shot in the face. It startles you so you try and run for it. They
shoot you but like Martin Keamy's vest, you've been known to take a
bullet or two.

[Objectives]

 > Escape The Gentek Facility 
 - Deal with the Helicopter 
 - Get to Higher Ground 
 - Deal with the Helicopters 
 - Find out who you are 

[First objective]
> Escape the Gentek Facility
- Escape the Gentek Facility by jumping over the gate.

When you make it over a checkpoint will be reached. If you don't know
what a checkpoint is, it means that if you die, you'll have the option
of going back to the previous checkpoint. A helicopter chases after you,
but all you need to do is evade it by running to the blue arrow.

When you reach a point you'll almost be hit by a missile. You'll pick
up a cab (well it was a cab for me) and if you couldn't guess, you're
going to have to blow the helicopter up. A box will pop-up and it 
mentions targeting. If you missed it don't worry, I got it right here.

[Targeting]

"Use targeting to lock on to an enemy. Targeting is especially useful
when combined with thrown objects, firearms or jump attacks.

Bring the desired enemy into view then press LT to lock on."

[Next objective]
> Deal with the Helicopter
- Destory the helicopter.

Some military scum will exit the helicopter and chase after you. Just
target the helicopter using LT and then chuck the taxi by pressing B.
After the heli explodes a new arrow will show up and you'll need to get
to it. Alex claims he can't believe what he just did. Little does he know...

[Next objective]
> Get to higher ground
- Get to higher ground

Use RT to wall run up to the top of the building. When you reach that
building you'll need to climb up a different one. Then some more heli's
will appear and you'll need to deal with them as well.

[Next objective]
> Deal with the helicopters
- Destroy the helicopters.

Pick up the small pieces of... whatever it is on that building to throw
at the two helicopters. Pretty simple since it only takes one hit to 
destroy them.

[Objective complete]
> Reward
 -1,000 EP

[Tips]
> EP is short for Evolution Points. It's used to buy upgrades in the
  start menu. There are lots of possible ways to gain EP. Absorb Hunters,
  complete objectives, complete events, destroy/avoid air strikes, hijack
  military vehicles and the list goes on. If you ever die or fail a 
  mission you will not lose the EP that you gained. You will only lose
  it if you forget to save. Or spend it, of course.

Now in the next scene you seem to just be walking around aimlessly. You
hear random voices inside of your head, since, well you don't really know
who you are. You end up in some alleyway and by some luck a military
guy will see you and goes to kill you. He shoots but of course you can't
die yet. Your body takes control a little bit and consumes him. Here is
what the game says about that.

[Consuming]

"Consume any creature to gain health. Health regenerates if you avoid
damage for a short time."

"Press B to grab the Blackwatch Commander. Press Y to consume."

[Next objective]
> Find out who you are
- Consume the Blackwatch Commander.

Go up to the Commander that happens to also be walking down the same
alleyway and consume him. You'll get a memory from him and you'll
now know about you sister who is named Dana. 

> Go to Dana's apartment.

Since you consumed someone you got their memories. I'll explain more
about this a bit later. But you remember you have a sister named Dana,
and you need to go to her. So follow the blue arrow until you get there.

[Objective complete]

  - 3,000 EP

[Next objective]
> Go to the overlook to investigate the area.

Since the military knows about you, they know about your sister. So it's
no surprise they got guards around her apartment. Go to the blue arrow
to scope out the area a bit. Ohh and, try not to get caught.

When you enter the blue field you'll look around a bit. Since you're
smart you'll know you can't just rush in. You'll need to disguise 
yourself. This box will show up and give you some hints on disguise.

[Disguise]

"To the right of the mini-map is the disguise meter with a shutter at
the bottom. When the shutter is open you are being watched by enemies.
When it is closed you are unseen."

"Every action that reveals your true identity fills the meter. When it 
fills completely your disguise is compromised."

"A compromised disguise is marked in red. This indicates that military
units are in a state of alert and will engage you on sight."

"When enemies lose sight of you the disguise icon slowly drains. Stay
out of sight until the icon is empty."

"If you have a grey form in your other disguise slot and are currently
unseen the switch icon appears. Press < to safely change forms and
evade your enemies. This is the best way to quickly get the military
off your back."

"Enemies that cannot see you are white on the mini map. Enemies that
can see you are in yellow. Enemies that are alerted to your presence
are red."

Now press the < button and turn into the Commander that you consumed 
earlier. You may now get inside her apartment.

When you go in a guy has a gun to Dana's head, but you kill him. You
tell her you need her help, but even though she's been doing research
on Gentek, she isn't 100% sure on what's going on. She claims since 
before last month she hasn't even seen you for five years.

They decide staying there isn't that bright of an idea so they go
to a safe house. When they reach it you find out where your place is.
Now you will need to go there, but Dana stays behind.

Looking over the edge of Dana's apartment you can see a blue arrow
pointing towards your next destination. You can either mess around a
bit or continue to your next objective. It's best to just keep
continuing because you don't have any powers yet. 

[Objectives]

 > Look for clues about Your Past 
 - Find out who Tried to Kill you 
 - Evade the Military 

[First objective]
> Look for Clues About Your Past
- Go to your apartment.

Make your way to the next point either as yourself or in disguise.
Obviously it's safer if you take the form of the commander you consumed
earlier.

[Tips]
> Holding A will charge your jumps.

When you get to your apartment in the Upper East Side, you'll touch a
painting and have a flashback of a blond woman. While that's taking place
the military have noticed you entered your place and they blow it up.
After Alex gets blown out of his window and lands on the concrete, he
will see someone and simply say's: "he's the one". That person escapes in a
tank, and some people in a helicopter show up.

[Next objective]
> Find out who Tried to Kill you
- Kill the marines who are trying to radio for support.

When a marine has a red circle over their head it means they're trying
to call in for an air strike against you. In this objective, search for the
marines who are trying to call for back up and kill them. But before you
start a box will explain the Strike Team. This is what it says:

[Strike Team]

"The enemy is radioing a strike team request. Strike teams are fast-moving
aerial units that will pursue and engage you. Kill the enemy before they
complete the strike team request and you can cancel the strike team
deployment."

The strike team request will obviously happen a few times within them, so
just swiftly kill them all as fast as you can.

Your next goal is to locate the person who tried to kill you. Just follow
the blue arrow until you get to the park. If you don't want to fight anyone
just disguise yourself and make your way there.

  -2,000 EP

You see a tank and know you need to get the guy out of there. If you went
disguised as the commander from before, then you just need to press Y when
it say's so to say the all-clear and the man will walk out of the tank. If
you went as Alex then you will need to steal a Rocket Launcher and blow up
the tank. By some miracle the guy safely escapes before dying. Now that he's
on the run you can go and consume him.

When you consume someone you get their memories and health, but sometimes they
show the memories. This is called the Web of Intrigue. From now on you can
press 'back' to access this menu, and watch any memory you want to see again.
Usually they will just show random bits of memory, along with people chatting,
but you can also get military upgrades this way. Like learning how to fly
a helicopter.

[Next objective]
> Evade the Military
- Defeat or evade the military.

If you don't feel like fighting then just evade, but fighting the military
will always get you more EP. 

[Mission Complete]

It now shows a flashback of a bunch of random events, and Alex is talking
to the man he is telling his story to. He says he wants revenge, someone
to blame.

If you press start you'll notice you now have access to the upgrades,
web, events and statistics menu. You might want to check those out. But
first you should look into getting some upgrades. You don't have much
at first but doing certain events will unlock more.

[Objectives]

 - Rescue Elizabeth Greene 

[First Objective]
> Behind the Glass
- Go to Dana's safe house

At this time you should acquire your first defensive power, which is the
shield. If you need some information about this, go to the Upgrades 
section. I also recommend getting Airdash, which allows you to get the
Glide ability. Another window will pop up and will talk about EP, but 
since I already talked about it before I won't talk about it again.

You are now in free roam mode. At this time you can do events or continue
with the story. Since you don't have any attack abilities yet I recommend
just keep following the story. Though you should try and get the hang of
using the glide ability first.

On the map you will see a yellow star. That means that you're in free-roam
mode and that's where your next objective is, should you decide to continue
the story. In this case the star is Dana's apartment.

When you get there you see Dana on Alex's laptop which was sent to her. 
She mentioned a girl named Elizabeth Greene, who sounds familiar to 
Alex. The next scene shows a man talking to a Captain, talking about
needing to contain everything. But the Captain has a different objective.
He needs to go after you. They mention that your codename is Zeus, which
to me is funny because before this game came out they were comparing it
to a game called InFamous where a guy controls lightning. And which
is the God that controls lightning...?

[Next Objective]
> Rescue Elizabeth Greene
- Go to Gentek Facility.

Follow the blue arrow until you reach the Gentek Facility. You can glide 
there which will be faster then sprinting. When you get there you will 
notice that it would be impossible to just walk inside in your current
state.

> Enter the Gentek Facility undetected.

When you get there you will need to find someone important who you can 
consume who will get you inside. Before going any further, quickly turn 
into the last person you consumed. It doesn't matter who for now, so 
long as you make it inside the perimeter.

> Locate the Gentek Facility commander.

Follow the blue arrow pointing to where the commander is and consume 
him. When you consume him you'll get a new web of intrigue memory. 
After that you will be spotted for consuming him, so quickly run out
of there before an air strike is called. Make your way back by 
following the blue arrow. 

You'll see a bunch of people dead and a girl inside a glass prison.
This is Elizabeth Greene. She hits you and then shows you a memory
of the past. She busts down the wall, says she's your mom and then 
escapes.

Now it's time to fight some hunters. Since you don't know about 
them yet you gain the memory of a soldier who does. 

[Objectives]
 
 > Escape the Hunters 
 - Defeat the Hunters 

[First Objective]
> Escape the Hunters
- Lead the Hunters to the military base.

Follow the blue arrow until you reach a military base with armed
men at the top. Kill them and then go inside by touching the blue
door thingy. When you jump inside you will see some more guys which
you will need to fight.

> Rewards
  - 2,000 EP 

[Next Objective]
> Defeat the Hunters
- Consume a Hunter.

While inside the base kill a few of the men with either your fists
or pick up a gun. After you kill a few a Hunter will drop in. Pick
up a gun and keep shooting at the Hunter until he is stunned enough
for you to consume him. After consuming him you will finally get
some of your powers unlocked; The Claw Power. I won't say much about
the claws here, just that they're claws and used for fighting. More
info is at the Upgrades section.

Keep attacking the hunters with your claws or use a gun until they
are weak enough to be consumed. A few more will drop down and you
will get a few checkpoints. Consume some of the military guys around
you if you are low on health. After you kill your fair share Alex
will look around a bit at some fuel tanks.

> Rupture all of the fuel tanks.

The Hunters will keep attacking you, but ignore them if you can. Go up
to the fuel tanks and slash them with your claws until they explode.
There are six of them so it won't take long. The fuel tanks are marked
by red skulls.

Now you got yourself some claws, a shield and glide. Why not go out
and have some fun with the military? The free roam mode is great if 
you're bored and just want to go out and mess around. This is also a 
good way to get yourself some more EP for more upgrades. As for me, I 
think I'll stick to the story. 

[Objectives]

 > The wheels of Chance 
 - Contact Karen Parker
 - Acquire an APC to Transport Karen Parker 
 - Test out the APC 
 - Rescue Karen Parker 

[First Objective]
> The Wheels of Chance
- Go to Dana's safe house.

Glide around until you reach Dana's safe house. Before you can enter
you will need to purchase the upgrade 'Stealth Consume'. After getting
it walk in and Dana will give you your next objective. You need to 
talk to a girl named Karen Parker, an ex-girlfriend of yours.

[Next Objective]
> Contact Karen Parker
- Go To Karen Parker's apartment.

Get over to Karen's place but before you get there you will need to
get a disguise out, as there are tons of military people around her
place. Walking around you can wonder why she's there. So much chaos
and mayhem. When you two meet she tells you how she thought you were
dead. More rambling and then she states you need to acquire a military
vehicle.

[Next Objective]
> Acquire an APC to Transport Karen Parker
- Consume a soldier to find a military base.

Follow the blue arrow to consume the military guy that you will need.
Before consuming him he may die, but that's alright because another
one will take his place. When you do consume him you will get another
Web of Intrigue, this time about Karen Parker. You learn a few things
about her, like how she was born on New Year's or that she is wanted
for questioning.

> Reward
  - 2,000 EP

From here you can kill the Hunters or the military to gain some EP.
If not then go forward in your objectives.

> Go to the Military base.

Disguise yourself as the person you just consumed and make your way
to the new blue arrow that shows up. When you reach your destination
you will see a Commander running around. 

> Consume the Commander.

Go up to him and use your new skill: Stealth Consume. Go up behind 
him and press RB and then when no one is looking tap the B button. 
When you consume him go inside of the base.

> Enter the base.

When you reach the inside of the base you will not know how to 
operate an APC. When you leave the base you will know how. Go up to
the man who has a blue target on him and stealth consume him. If
it's too tricky to stealth consume then just grab him. But if you
can do it using stealth you'll get 15,000 EP. During the consumption
you will get a new Web of Intrigues, which teaches you how to drive
a tank. After you've got it you will get another 4,000 EP. Now if 
you'd like, turn into Alex and kill everyone in the base. If you do
so you'll get a bonus 2,500 EP.

> Exit the base.

When you leave the base you'll see a tank. If you disguised yourself
you won't need to hijack it, you'll just need to enter it by pressing
the B button.

[Next Objective]
> Test out the APC
- Go to the infected zone to test weapons.

Move around the tank like how you would walk around and follow the
blue arrow. on your way there try not to run over too many military
guys, as you don't want anyone to find out it's you.

When you reach the checkpoint you'll need to follow the commands to 
aim and shoot random infected things. Keep doing so until you kill
them all. 

> Reward
  -3,000 EP

[Next Objective]
> Rescue Karen Parker
- Go to Karen Parker's apartment.

Make your way on your wheels to Karen Parker's apartment. On your
way there feel free to blast a few in your way. 

> Destroy the Hive before picking up Parker.

Think of an infected building as a bee hive, thus the name Hive. 
Before picking up Karen Parker you're going to need to destroy
one of these hives. Hey, if you are using military equipment the
least you can do is help them out a bit. Shoot down that building
and then enter the blue area.

> Reward
  - 12,000 EP.

> Pick up Karen Parker.

Now that you got Karen she will mark the map for you and tell you
where to go. Carefully make your way through the streets to avoid
any Military people. If they spot you it's going to be tough 
avoiding them, as Karen can't die in this objective. If you go 
through the park be sure to watch out for bodies of water, because
if you go in there then Karen will drown. Keep going through the
streets until you find your spot in the alleyway to safety.

[Mission Complete]

  - 25,000 EP

Alex is back to talking to the guy on rooftop. He tells him about how 
he saw photos of Karen Parker inside of his apartment before it blew up.
He assumed they were together. Next he talks about Elizabeth Greene.
How it was a mistake for him to let her go. But he thought he could
trust her. 

[Day 4 of infection]

[Objectives]

 > A New Order 
 - Collect Genetic Material 

[First Objective]
> A New Order
- Go to Karen Parker's lab.

Another rooftop. Disguise yourself as the last person you were and glide
your way over to Karen's lab. It's not very far. As you enter the building
you'll see Karen on a computer and she'll say she needs a sample of a 
infected water tower and an infected hive.

- Go to the infected water tower and collect the material.

Disguise yourself and make your way to the blue arrow. When you get there
you'll see a water tower which has been infected. Inside lies a Hunter. If
you get too close to them they will hatch and you will have to fight one. 
Get close to one and destroy the water tower with your claws before a
Hunter can hatch.

> Collect the genetic material from water towers.

Keep destroying water towers and then collect the material which is 
composed inside of a yellow orb until the bar at the top is at its
maximum level. You will run into a few infected, and maybe even a couple
of Hunters. But just follow the red skulls marked on your map until 
you complete your task.

Head to the blue arrow and go inside the blue checkpoint. You'll see 
a Hive that's releasing genetic material. At the very top is another
bar which shows your progress. Fill it. When you jump down you will
be able to collect a few genetic material before the military shows 
up. They spoiled your plans and now you will need to stop them from
destroying the building. If you haven't gotten the Hammerfist power
yet I suggest getting it now.

While you're collecting the genetic material you'll run into a lot
of tanks and helicopters. An easy way to destroy them at this point
is to just pick up cars and throw it at them. Some military guys
will have rocket launchers so you can use those to. Take your time
killing the military and the genetic material will build up on the
ground, so you can pick it up in bulk.

You are now in free-roam mode. Stick around and do some more damage or
get out while you still can. The military might call for a strike team,
so since you just earned 22 new upgrades I suggest destroying it for
another 5,000 or so EP. When you're ready make your way to the yellow 
star.

[First Objective]
> Open Conspiracy
- Go To Dana's safe house.

Head over to Dana's safe house and it cuts to a scene where they're
on the computer looking at military information. He mentions a guy
named McMullen who he said did it to him.

[Next Objective]
> Investigate the Base
- Locate and consume the Blackwatch Commander.

Afterwards you end up at an army fortress. Disguise yourself and find 
someone who will be able to tell you everything. Make your way through 
the fortress and you will see the commander who you will need to 
consume. When you do that you will get another Web of Intrigue.

[Next Objective]
> Stop the Military from Discovering the Safe House
- Destroy the Patrols.

Turn back into Alex and make your way to the red skulls that appear
on your map. When you get there you will find out some information
about these flying objects that change colors and follow you around.
These things are called patrols. You will need to destroy them before
they find out information about Dana's safe out. There will also be
some tanks near you. Destroy those to.

> Destroy all patrols before they reach Dana's safe house.

Now make your way to the next set of patrols by following the red
skulls on your map. When you reach them, destroy those and the tank.
Afterwards you'll see a 'Patrol Destroyed' message, but you won't
get any reward this time.

Once again make your way to the next group of Patrols. Destroy them 
before moving on. You also might encounter a strike team, but for
me it was only one helicopter.

Another group of patrols are marked on your map so go on and defeat
these guys to. 

When you defeat them a group of patrols are on route to Dana's safe
house. Quickly start rushing towards them and after about 20 seconds
a timer of 59:00 will go down and you will have only that amount of
time to defeat them all. A quick way to do this is to destroy the
flying patrol and then hop in a tank and blow up the other one.

After that you will once again need to keep fighting some patrol. 
You should see three more red skulls on your map. Glide around
making your way to each batch of patrol and destroy them. While
going around you may see a commander. He will have a Web of Intrigue
memory so feel free to consume him.

Everything is getting worse. You're now back up to talking to the
guy on the roof. You're discussing McMullen and Blackwatch and how 
they're the cause of this.

- Go to Dana's safe house.

You're now back to free roam mode. Fool around a bit and gain some 
extra EP, upgrade your stuff or check out the events. When you're all
ready go to the yellow star and enter Dana's safe house.

> Stop the Military from Discovering the Safe House
- Destroy the Viral Detectors.

Once again Dana's safe house will be in jeopardy. The military has
set up some viral detectors to try and figure out where Dana is. How
that finds out where she is hiding I have no clue. But it doesn't
matter, go up to the detectors and smash them.

[Next Objective]
> Draw Military Attention Away from the Safe House
- Destroy another viral detector.

Defeat the rest of the military and the helicopter then glide your
way over to the next viral detector. It's guarded by more men so
defeat them afterwards.

 > Destroy the rest of the viral detectors.

Look on your map for the rest of the detectors. You might also get 
another Web of Intrigue memory. Consume the guy in the green shirt
who has it. There are a total of ten more detectors to be
destroyed. Use military weapons to help assist you blow everything
up. A lot of helicopters will be called on you.

The next thing is three men. The captain from before got some new
orders, that he has to inject Alex with a cure that will infect
his body and take away his powers.

It's free-roam mode once again. If you haven't gotten any upgrades

you're ready head over to Dana's safe house.

- Head over to Dana's safe house.

Before entering Dana's safe house you will need to purchase the
Critical Mass Ability. When you learn the ability enter the house.
Dana gives you some on advice on how to draw McMullen out so that
you can talk to him.

> Locate McMullen
- Go to the hive.

Head on over to the hive that's marked on your map to see if you
can get McMullen's attention. When you reach the hive go to the
guy who is marked by the blue arrow and consume him. You will get
a new Web of Intrigue after doing so.

> Go to the next hive research site and check activity levels.

Glide over to the next blue arrow and go inside of it. You will 
see a few viral detectors and you know that McMullen won't show
up if the readings are too high.

- Sabotage the viral detectors

This next objective is very simple. If you're not already 
disguised then do so now. Go up to one of the four Viral
Detectors and press the Y button when it say's to do so on the
top. When you're doing this you will need to press a few more
buttons within the time limit. If you do it correctly then it
will go offline. If you mess up during this then quickly flee
and come back to do it again. Remember not to destroy the
viral detector.

After you've done all four go to the blue arrow and go inside
of it and press Y to call McMullen. He will show up in a heli and
while he is about to leave, something happens to the hive and
he decides to leave. At least you know what he looks like.

Now since McMullen left everyone knows who you are. So either
run away or defeat the military for bonus EP.

Now that the military is gone it's time for you to go check on your
friend Karen Parker.

- Go to Karen Parker's lab.

Make your way to the yellow star on the map to Karen's lab. Since 
you're not in free-roam mode you can do some side stuff as well. But
sticking to the story, enter the area to Karen's lab. She tells you that 
you have to go inside the hive because she doesn't have enough 
information about it yet.

- Enter the hive.

Make your way to the blue arrow which will take you inside of the
hive. You can see the whole infection and a bunch of genetic material.
Collect this material for Karen Parker.

> Karen Parker has Betrayed you
- Defeat the specialist.

The captain from before drops down from the ceiling saying that you're
a hard person to find. After an exchange of a few words you find out
that Karen Parker has betrayed you. Blonds are always trouble.

[Specialist]

This guy isn't very hard to beat at all. He's mostly just an annoyance.
When he fires his missiles at you, dodge them and then rush him a few
times and hit him with whatever power you want. After a few hits he
says that your friends want to come out and play. 

He goes up on a little cord and you get rushed by some infected. Defeat
them real quick and go back to the specialist. Really the only way to 
beat him is to wait until he fires at you. Then charge at him and
keep doing this until you've won. You might get lucky and be able to
hit him a few times while he's standing around, but mostly he'll use
his lightning rod thingy.

After a little more time of you hitting him he'll call in his squad. If
you're getting low on health it's good to consume these guys. Keep
hitting the specialist with your powers, use the guns from the military
or keep throwing things at him until it says this:

A quick scene emerges where the specialist tries to escape. Alex jumps
on him and goes with him. The specialist tires to distract you by 
telling you about Penn Station. He comes up behind you and injects
you with an antidote. Wait, isn't this what Alex wants?

"Zeus is down. Bring in the containment device."

Is the last thing the specialist says before you flee. When you jump
down the building you'll notice you've lost your powers. Not all of
them, mind you, just the power and shield ones. You can still run
really fast and glide.

Even though you've lost half your powers it's still pretty simple to 
defeat the military. You can use their weapons against them and still
throw things. It's up to you, but all you need to do is get off their
radar.

Now that the military isn't chasing you it's time for your next mission.
In case you can't figure it out, your powers aren't gone forever. Your
next mission will be about getting your powers back.

Make your way to the yellow star to reach Dana's safe house. They talk
about a doctor named Bradley Ragland. He runs the morgue downtown and he may
know where McMullen is. They also talk about Hope, Idaho which the
military and the feds killed themselves. Everyone was killed there except
for one girl-- Elizabeth Greene.

After leaving the safe house you notice the injection that you were 
stabbed with earlier is getting worse, and it feels like it's feeding
on him.

[First Objective]

- Go to Doctor Ragland's Morgue.

Glide your way over to the doctor's morgue and make your entrance. 
I'd suggest before getting too close to disguise yourself. The military
may be guarding this place. Also note that before you enter the place
you must have purchased the Knuckle Shockwave power.

When you enter the place you will meet the doctor. He will be alone
and working on a dead person. He doesn't know who you are at first, but
after seeing that you have some special powers, he agrees to help you.
But first you need to find out where patient zero is.

- Locate Blackwatch Specter Forces.

Make your way to the blue arrow and go inside of it. When you look down
you will see an APC. Disguise yourself and hop right in. Weather
or not you were already a military personnel or not, you will consume
the person inside and get a new Web of Intrigue.

> Locate Captain Lim.

Make your way down the street and be careful to not kill too many military
people, as you don't want anyone to find out who really is controlling
that tank.

"How do you catch the attention of an officer? 
You start killing all of his men."

> Destroy the Blackwatch specter vehicles.

Now this part is kind of annoying. What you need to do is destroy those
floating glowy things that get rid when they're around you. You can do
those pretty easily without getting caught as a tank. After you get them
all then go find a military guy with a rocket launcher, steal it and
then go blow up the tanks. I was able to do the entire objective
without getting caught.

> Consume Captain Lim

After the objective is done you will find a blue arrow point towards
an APC. Go inside or hijack it and you will consume Captain Lim. Doing
so will unlock another Web of Intrigue, which will talk about Doctor
Ragland.

Now it's back to talking to the guy on the roof. Alex talks about needing
Doctor Ragland, and how they used Karen Parker against him. 

[Day 8 of infection]

[Objectives]

 - Get Ragland to Safety 

[First objective]
> The Stolen Body
- Go to Doctor Ragland's morgue.

Head on over to Doctor Ragland's morgue once again. You will need to
disguise yourself because there are military people just outside of 
the morgue. When Alex gets in the infection on his back makes him
pass out. The nice doctor tells you how you can get rid of it, and
claims if you can cut off its food source it should go away.

[Next Objective]
> Get Transport for Ragland
- Hijack a tank.

When you leave the morgue you will most likely be caught. Quickly
disguise yourself and hide from the military. After that go down to the
streets and find a tank. It doesn't matter which one. When you find out
head back over to the morgue by following the blue arrow.

> Transport Ragland to Penn Station.

Make your way through the chaos on your tank with Ragland inside to the
Penn station. Make sure to not accidentally run over a group of military
people like I did.

> Defend Ragland from the infected.

While Ragland is doing his work, you will need to protect him. A timer 
counts down four minutes and that's how long you will need to wait. Keep
attacking the infected and the Hunters to keep them from busting down
the glass wall.

If you don't have any combat moves then I suggest you get some now.
For the majority of this I did the move Kickflip Launcher. It was very
effective to these guys and I was able to do this easily on my first
try. If some guys are too close to the glass you might want to just
grab them using B and then consume them. Some Hunters will also come,
but I only got about three or so.

[Next Objective]
> Get Ragland to Safety
- Kill the rest of the infected.

Aaahh right when you think it's all over, you need to kill the remaining
infected. No matter these guys are easy. After you finish them all, you'll
see this big thing called a Hydra bust out from the ground. But that's
not your worries for right now. First you need to escort Ragland to 
safety.

> Return Ragland to the morgue.

You head back to the tank you were previously in and then you will be
guided by the blue arrow back to the morgue. On your way there you
will encounter several more Hydras. These ones you should kill. They
take about 3 hits and you'll get about 9,000 EP per kill. When you reach
the morgue Ragland will tell you he's going to get to work and to come
back in a few hours.

In the course of three seconds in real life time it seems that several
hours have passed in the Prototype world. As soon as you want to you
can head over to the morgue.

 - Find a Suitable Hunter to Inject 
 - Learn Helicopter System 

[First Objective]
> Biological Imperative
- Go to Ragland's morgue.

Exit the tank and head over to Ragland's place. Inside he will talk 
to you about needing a host that can infest the thing on your back.
If you inject a Hunter with the needle the doctor gave you and then
consume it, you will be cured.

[Next Objective]
> Find a suitable Hunter to Inject
- Consume the helicopter pilot.

You will stand in front of a bunch of guys and a helicopter. Disguise
yourself real quick and go up the helicopter pilot and consume him. Now
that you got his memories you will be able to skyjack that helicopter.

[Next Objective]
> Learn Helicopter System
- Test fly the helicopter.

Go up to the helicopter and press B to go inside. It will have you
do a quick tutorial like this.

> Press A to ascend.
> Press X to desend.
> Use right analog for moving around.

Now go to the blue arrow.

> Use LT to target a viral detector.
> Use right analog to change targets.
> Use RT to fire the weapon.
> Use RB to change weapons.

Now blow up the viral detectors and head to the blue arrow. After
going forward the arrow will disappear and now you will need to rely
on using the signal strength at the top right of your screen. The
closer you are to an infected water tower, the more the bar will
fill red. You will need to find a suitable water tower that is
holding a Hunter so you can consume it. Get closer and closer to a
water tower and when you find one, press Y to scan it. Then it 
will bust open. Bingo!

Now you can use the helicopter to blast the Hunter and stun it 
real quick. Hold the B button to jump out and then consume it.

> Follow the Hunter.

Glide after the Hunter until you can catch up to it. When you do
so, then attack it until you can absorb it one more time. After
this happens the thing on your back will leave your body and
you will get two new powers: The Blade and the Armor.

> You can't jump as high, sprint as fast or glide with the Armor
  activated.

> The Blade is the strongest weapon you will get.

So now you got your old powers back and two new ones it's time to get
back on track with your mission. Since you're in free-roam mode you
might want to mess around with your powers a bit since you got some
upgrades from last mission. When you're ready head to the yellow star.

 - Defeat the Hunters

[First Objective]
> The Door in the Wall
- Go to the safe house.

Before being able to start this mission you must purchase the power
'Tendril Barrage Devastator'. So if you haven't gotten it yet, do 
so now. When you get in you and Dana begin talking.

[Next Objective]
> Rescue Dana
- Follow the leader Hunter.

When you're talking to Dana about Doctor Ragland, you notice a rumbling
sound come from no where. Her wall gets busted down by a Hunter. But 
it's not a normal type of Hunter. He grabs Dana and jumps out. You are
now in the streets and you will need to follow the Hunter through the
streets.

While you're chasing him I suggest disguising yourself into someone.
It doesn't matter if you catch up to the Hunter or not. I caught up
to him several times and attacked him and nothing happened. But if
you stay as Alex and the military spots you, then they may call a 
strike team. While you're chasing the Hunter you will notice a bar
at the top, and you aren't allowed to stay too far from behind the 
Hunter. Military involvement will be just an annoyance.

[Next Objective]
> Defeat the Hunters
- Defeat the Hunters.

After a while of chasing you will go to the next scene. A bunch more
Hunters will show up to help their leader. Whip out your new blade
power and begin fighting them.

There is about four Hunters that you will need to defeat. If you do
use your new blade they go down pretty quickly.

After you defeat them all you will need to attack the leader Hunter
a bit. Before he gets too hurt he'll run away and you will need to 
chase after him. When you get to a certain point you will see a 
flying patrol thingy again. They will detect you and a helicopter
will fire some missiles at you. Because of that you will lose sight
of the Hunter, and Dana as well.

There will be a bunch of random sequence of events in a flashback. Alex
begins talking. He's back to telling his story on the rooftop to the
guy. He talks about trying to help Dana and ending the military from
chasing him. He also say's that all of the leader Hunters are dead. All
of them... except for him.

[Day 10 of infection]

[Objectives]

 > First and Last Things
 - Find Dana
 - Trap the Leader Hunter for Ragland

[First Objective]
> First and Last Things
- Go to Ragland's morgue.

Now that Dana is gone you don't really have anyone else you can turn
to. So it's back to getting help from Ragland. When you're ready, go to
his morgue.

When you walk in you ask him to help you find the Hunter. Ragland say's
that if you find another leader and then consume him, you may find out
some more information.

[Next Objective]
> Find Dana
- Go to the infected zone.

You now need to go and find the leader that took Dana. You know if you
can consume him you will know where to find her. So follow the blue 
arrow until you get to the infected zone.

When you get there you will see the leader yelling out something and 
then jump down. If you don't feel like fighting him just hijack a
tank and blast him. When you hit him enough times you'll see the symbol
which tells you that he is ready to be consumed. When you go to consume
him he pushes you out of the way. Something is wrong. He is too strong.

[Next Objective]
> Trap the Leader Hunter for Ragland
- Follow the Hunter to the leaders hive.

Follow the leader a bit by following the blue arrow. When you see the
blue glowy thing jump on it. After that the leader will call fourth
some of his slave Hunters.

> Kill the Hunters that are guarding the leader.

There are about seven Hunters that you will need to fight. Get out your
blade and put on your armor because when they team on you they can
hurt you pretty bad. Defeat them all to move on.

After that the leader Hunter will now go after you. Don't stand around
and fight him, you're going to need to lure him somewhere.

> Lure the leader Hunter to the abandoned military base.

At the top right of your screen you'll see a bar that says "Leaders 
Interest". When the bar gets lower and lower it means he is losing
interest in you. Keep gliding to the blue arrow with the Hunter
following you and keep his interest up. When it gets too low turn 
around and hit him once and it will be filled. I recommend using the
Whipfist because you can hit him at a distance. Be sure to not hit
him over and over because you don't want him to die. Keep running 
until you are both near the blue glowy thing.

> Defeat the Hunter.

Now that you trapped him inside it's time for another face off between
you two. Take out your blade power and armor and begin fighting. It's
very easy to defeat this guy. Only takes about 15 hits for him to go 
down. Luckily any other Hunters that were chasing you won't get in 
the way.

The leader hunter was finally defeated. You are about to find out some
interesting things about them, and how to defeat them. So head on over
to Ragland's morgue.

 - Hook into the Infected Hive Mind
 - Find out Where Dana is Being Held

[First Objective]
> The First Monster
- Go to Ragland's morgue.

You're in a bloody war zone. If you don't feel like fighting then quickly
disguise yourself into the last person you consumed and head on over to the
yellow star. 

When you walk in Ragland tells you what he found out about the leader
Hunters. He mentions they have two brains and two spines. When you break
both of them they enter a recovery period. When that happens they are
vulnerable to being consumed. Now that you know how to consume them, go
find the leader that hunternapped Dana and consume it.

[Next Objective]
> Consume the Leader Hunter
- Enter the abandoned military base.

The next scene they show you standing in front of the base, so you don't
have to walk very far. Go inside the building and you will see the Hunter
leader there.

> Consume the leader Hunter.

All I did was hit him once and I was able to consume him. He was able to 
regenerate some health but not enough. When you consume him they show a bunch
of random images in some weird language. I think I'll call it Hunterish.

[New Ability]
> Infected Vision
Gives you the power to see infected humans.

> Consume an infected carrier.

Equip this ability and use it on the military guys who will begin firing 
at you. You will see one that glows a sort-of orange-ish white-ish color. 
You will want to consume him. It brings up a menu that tells you about how 
if you consume these guys it will give you knowledge called the 'Hive Mind'.
If you consume enough of them, you will be able to find the leader Hunter
that took Dana.

[Next Objective]
> Hook Into the Infected Hive Mind
- Go to the base to find infected carriers.

Make your way to the military base that is marked on the map by the blue
arrow. You will now need to consume all the military guys that you can find
who are infected until the hive's mind bar at the top right of your screen
is filled. This part is kind of annoying because once you get caught the
military will start attacking you, and some times they hit their own guys.
If you're having trouble with military vehicles keep blowing everything 
up, just hijack one and blow up the rest.

[Next Objective]
> Find out Where Dana is Being Held
- Go to the mutated Hunters location.

Now that you have consumed enough infected minds, you will know where 
the Hunter that took Dana resides. Get the military off your back and then
follow the blue arrow. When you get close to the building your instincts
will let you know that you're getting close. Climb up the building and get
ready to fight some Hunters.

Fight the two hunters at the top and consume them both. One is the leader
but one is just some regular. You won't need to consume the small one, but
it's good for health/EP. It won't take too many hits to weaken him enough,
so when you see the red symbol, consume him and you'll know where Dana is.

After you consume him a quick scene will show the building where Dana is.
You will see some tanks, and you'll know that if you can hijack one of
them it will make getting inside quicker.

Your next objective will once again be right where you left off. You'll

- Go to the military base.

For this one all you have to do is walk over to the base and press Y
where the yellow star is. Simple.

[Next Objective]

- Protect the Thermobarc Tank.
- Escort the Tank to the first armored hive.

Assuming the last person you consumed was military then quickly disguise
yourself and hop inside one of the tanks. For this you will need to 
protect the tank with the blue arrow over it by shooting Hunters and
infected. Be sure to not accidentally hit any military vehicles or 
personnel otherwise they will know it's you and you'll lose some time 
and possibly fail the mission from not being able to protect the
tank.

> Escort the tank to the second armored hive.

Keep continuing what you've been doing and make sure the tank gets to 
the second hive safely. When it gets there you will see a bunch of 
Hunters and stuff. Before the tank will blow up the hive you will need
to kill them all. When you've done that the tank will blow up the hive.

> Escort the tank to the third armored hive.

Follow the tank as it goes to the next hive. At this point if you don't
have a tank then continue by foot. You won't be walking for long and
the advantage is you won't accidentally blow up the military.

> Clear the hive area.

Once again before the tank will blow up the hive you will need to get
the area cleaned up. And by that I mean killing all of the Hunters that
will try and stop it. Like I said before if you don't have a tank 
anymore then throwing cars works pretty well.

After you defeated them all the tanks will begin to move forward. All
of a sudden a Hydra will appear from out of the ground and attack the
tank. The men inside will be killed. It's up to you to blow up the 
hive now.

> Destroy the hive

Go inside of the tank and use your weapons on the hive. It only takes
like one shot so it will be easy.

> Breach the core hive with the tank.

Now you got yourself a new tank. You will need to take it to the blue 
arrow on the map to blow up the next armored hive. Make your way through
the streets and kill any Hydras or Hunters that get in your way. It's 
not very far to the next hive so this objective is pretty short. When
you reach the hive shoot it right in the middle.

The next scene shows Elizabeth Greene. You fight her a bit and then you
stab her. She bleeds on your face and claims you hurt her. She summons 
some ugly looking Hunter called the Supreme Hunter.

- Fight the Supreme Hunter

[Supreme Hunter]
> Suggest using the Blade/Armor combo at first.

When the fight first begins rush him and hit him as many times as you 
can. After several hits you will stun him and you will then need to 
press B. When this happens you will jump on his back. At this time press
X as fast as you can because he'll throw you off.

Now he'll summon some of his buddies to help him out. The Hydra will throw
things at you and will also do some spike damage at you. Just ignore this
thing if you can. Try and attack the other hunters for now.

After a short while some military will come in. Hop in on one of their 
tanks and start blasting the Hydras first. Then you can focus on the
Supreme Hunter. Fire as many missiles as you can before the tank gets
destroyed. You may steal another one if you want. Some times the Supreme
Hunter will get a blue arrow around his head. This means he will be stunned.
All the times this happened I was in a tank and I didn't jump out. I can
only assume you will jump on his back and need to press X rapidly again.

Using the tank method will get this fight done pretty quickly so I suggest
that if you want to get this fight done then to do that.

The next cinema shows Dana on the ground. She's not dead just hurt. You 
rush out of the place and take her to Ragland. He said she is stable so
she will be fine. Ragland gives you a map and says that they got bigger
problems.

if Karen Parker was helping you, but she had ended up betraying you. Now
someone else is going to approach you to help you figure things out.

Follow the yellow star to the phone booth. Underneath you'll see a 
cell phone and a man begins to talk to you about Blackwatch. You find
out they were testing stuff on animals, then they wanted to test it on
humans. They found the perfect test example in Elizabeth Greene. You
also find out that you're basically a virus, and that Blackwatch is
planning on taking you out.

- Observe the helicopter on the rooftop.

Head on over to the blue arrow and you'll see that on the next
building is the helicopter that you need to infiltrate.

Jump over with a disguise and head over to one of the guys that is 
pratically concealed by the big vents on top of the building. Stealth
consume the guy and you'll see a Web of Intrigue about a new type of
marine. You'll find out soon what they are so don't worry about them
for now.

> Steal the helicopter.

Press B to drop your gun and then press B again to hop in the helicopter.
They will show you the controls again in case you have forgotten.

Now that you got control of the helicopter, It's time to help out the
military a bit. Head over to the blue arrow to pick up the first group
of soldiers.

Head on over to the red skull that is marked on your map. That is where
the hive is located so use your weapons to blow it up. 

> Destroy the marked infected targets.

After you're done blowing up the building you will see some infected
still roaming around the streets. Target lock onto them and kill them all.
After you have killed them all you will see a place to land the helicopter.
Land it and get ready for your next objective.

Nearby is another blue waypoint. When you reach that place you will see a 
few Hydras coming out of the ground.

[Hydras]

This part isn't that hard. I recommend flying up a ways so that you won't
get hit. Back up a bit and then go back down. Make your way through the
street until you can see a Hydra pop out. Get close but not too close so 
that you can kill them one by one. Even though they are pretty close together
you can still position yourself so that you can only see one at a time. If 
you try doing them all at once then you will probably get blown up.

After you defeat the first three, another three will show up. Just go back
up and then back and repeat the same process. This objective is pretty easy,
but one thing to remember is the other helicopters are annoying and will
get in your way. When I was doing this one practically blew me up because
we had collided.

When you're done land your helicopter on the waypoint.

Now you will have picked up a few more men. You will see two more waypoints
so you're going to have to drop them off there. It doesn't matter which one
you pick first because you will need to go to them both.

Make your way to the first waypoint and then to the second one to evacuate
the men.

- Infiltrate the military base without compromising your disguise.

Fly your helicopter over to the blue arrow. There is a military base where
you will be able to land your helicopter.

You will jump out and enter the briefing. Someone talks about needing to 
spread smoke all over the town to help fight the infection. It is considered
harmless to humans to inhale, but since you're not human it will affect you.
Alex runs out of the building and his cover his blown.

- Eliminate all Blackwatch forces.

There are a few regular military guys there with guns. They will try and kill
you but it's easy to kill them all. After you kill the first batch a super 
soldier will show up. They are more advanced soldiers and can fight better and
are stronger. Jump up and use Blade Air Slice on him and he will die in one 
hit. Consume the rest of the guys in the building if you can so that you can
get into critical mass mode. The next batch of guy there will be a lot. Use
a devastator if you can to get them all in one hit. If not keep using Blade
Air Slice on them and they will be dead easy.

When you exit the building there will be a bunch more military guys to kill
or to run from. I stuck around and killed them all and killed the strike team
that came with it. Took about two minutes so if you got the time then do it.
If not then just run away.

You talk about not being human and that you're pratically relieved. It's
back to talking to the military guy from before. The reason someone was 
talking to you by the phone booth is becoming clearer.

[Day 12 of infection]

- Go to the phone booth.

Head back to the phone booth by going to the yellow star marked on the map.
The guy tells you about the military trying to spread the bloodtox and box 
you in so they can kill you. You ask who he is but he hangs up.

[Next Objective]
> Halt the Deployment of Bloodtox
- Go to the Bloodtox staging area.

Now follow the blue arrow to make your way to the blue waypoint. When you get 
there you will see the Bloodtox.

> Destroy the Bloodtox Blowers.

There are a total of nine Bloodtox Blowers that you will need to destroy. How 
you do this is up to you. You can try hijacking some tanks/helicopters to blow
them up or you could just use your blade. After you destroy the second and also
the sixth Bloodtox you will reach checkpoints so don't worry about needing to 
start all over if you die.

The way I did this was I got out my blade then followed my map to the first 
Bloodtox which is marked with a red skull. Then I did Blade Air Slice on it
one and it was destroyed. Then I glided over to the second one and did the same 
thing. Did that for all nine and the objective was over pretty quickly.

More than likely the military and some super soldiers will be after you. If you
don't feel like fighting then just disguise yourself and run away. If not then
fight them and kill them all.

Nothing really takes place after you defeat/evade the military. You just have

Like you did the last mission, head over to the phone booth to see what your
contact has to say.

He talks about how the military has been massing Bloodtox has been mass 
produced and how there is going to be a tank carrying a bunch of it. The
military is going to need your help, but if you get the tank to where it needs
to go, you will be able to get rid of it all.

- Consume the Bloodtox Facility Commander.

Disguise yourself and jump to the military base. Inside you'll see the blue
arrow pointing to the Commander. Get up behind him and then use Stealth Consume.

You'll tell the men to start driving the Bloodtox tank to Times Square. You will
need to follow it, either by walking or taking a tank of your own.

- Escort the Bloodtox Pumper to Times Square.

It's best to just hop in a tank and drive close to the tank so you can have
access to the military weapons. After just a few feet you will run into a 
Hydra in the middle of the road. Kill it.

After going a bit more you will see another Hydra. This one won't really do 
anything so you can just ignore it. If not then kill it but do it fast. Then
a bit more down the road there will be two more Hydras. You're going to need 
to kill those two.

The Bloodtox tank will turn and start making its way to the park. Before you
enter you'll see another Hydra. Kill it real fast. After you get inside the 
park you will see another Hydra that is throwing things at the tank. Kill that
one as well.

Toward the end of the park there will be three more Hydras blocking the road.
You're going to need to kill these ones to move on.

After exiting the park you'll go down the street a bit and encounter another
Hydra. It's not mandatory to kill it but they're easy so mine as well. Go a 
bit further and you'll run in to four more Hydras. You'll need to kill these 
ones.

After those four are dead the Bloodtox will have made it to its destination.

 > Before starting this mission if you haven't gotten a bunch of military
upgrades then I suggest getting them now. Just go to military bases and 
consume the people who have blue marks over their heads.

 - Activate the Bloodtox Pump.

When you get to the yellow star you will activate the Bloodtox pump. All
of a sudden the ground will start shaking. Seems you're giving someone
underground a headache.

[Next Objective]
 > Force Elizabeth Greene out into the Open
 - Defend the Bloodtox Pumper.

When the guy is on the radio talking about what's going on, I suggest
hopping into a tank that's nearby. Head to the blue area but before you can
enter you will encounter some Hunters. Easy to blow up with the tank.

> Defend the North/South/East/West perimeter

To put all of this simply, just stay inside of your tank and kill all of the
Hunters that will try to destroy the Bloodtox Pumper. Use the tank so the
military won't come after you. There will be lots of Hunters so keep your eyes
open. After a while you will come across some Hydras, but I only counted two.
After you kill them all you will hear someone say to wait around for new orders.

Alright now that you got the Bloodtox Pumper safe from the Hunters, it's
time to face the next boss-- Elizabeth Greene.

Out of the ground comes one giant infected looking worm which you will have
to fight.

[Elizabeth Greene]

Before beginning this I will suggest a few things.

1. Don't put on your Armor power. You won't be able to use Glide with this and
   you will most likely need it.

2. Use your Blade weapon.

3. Use Devastators when you can. If you don't know how, just hold Y + B when 
   you're in Critical Mass mode. 

4. In your Upgrades section, make sure you have max health

5. Use tanks/helicopters.

Alright now this can be either really hard or really easy. When you first look 
at her health points bar you'll notice three little notches underneath. In order
to actually harm her you will need to get those three red notches down to 
nothing. To do this just keep attacking her. The best way is to either use
a tank or use the Blade. When you're using a tank just keep blasting her over
and over. When you're using the blade, go up real high and use Blade Air Slice
on her and then run away. Keep doing this until those three bars go down.

Now that you got her bars down to nothing it's time to focus on attacking her.
At this time she will do like what the leader Hunters did. She will be in a
form of regan mode. She won't be able to attack you, she will be focused on
regenerating herself. I suggest using Blade Frenzy over and over. If you're
in a tank then of course use that. If you can on the first try, try and get
her to half of her health points. If not, then it's okay. After you've hit
her your fair share of times, she will awaken refreshed and those three red
bars that were empty before, will now be full again. Just keep doing this
process over and over again until she is dead.

Now you may be wondering why you can't just stand around and slash her until
she is dead. I thought I could do this when I first tried it to, but you 
shouldn't. Keep your distance and attack from a distance. She has this 
attack that is similar to your devastator attacks. She will let out this
huge yell and this big circle of what seems to be infected fire will go
all over the place. Time seems to slow down a bit and the color of your 
screen will change colors. If you happen to get away from this, then great.
If not you will lose about 90% of your health. That's why I suggest just
taking your time and attack from a distance.

Another thing you can do if you want to keep a nice distance from her is
to get out your Whipfist power and charge the Y button and keep hitting 
her. I'm told this doesn't take very much time either.

She also has this rock attack and a green orb attack. These things are
sort of like homing attacks, meaning they will follow you. Sometimes
it's easy to just dodge them, other times they will hit you. To get
away from them, go on top of a tall building or go to the sides of one.

The military will be a big part of helping you in this fight. When I did 
this they pretty much ignored me the whole time. Sure I got the occasional
shot fired at me, but it wasn't anything serious. If you want to stand
around and wait for the military to do it all, that's up to you. It will
take longer though. Also I should note the military doesn't even show
up until after you get to the first checkpoint, which is after the
first time you get all of the red notches down to zero.

sometimes when you get close to Elizabeth and then you flee to say on top
of a building, some Hunters will follow you. if you want to kill them in
one shot just use the Blade Air Slice technique. You will regain some
health to.

Now if you keep doing what I told you to do, depending on what difficulty
you're at, you could easily get this done in 10 - 15 minutes. Good luck, 
this is a pretty cool boss fight and I enjoyed it.

After the big 'ol worm thingy is dead, out pops Elizabeth. You grab her,
beat the shit out of her and then consume her. 

After this the military will fall back and someone says "Code Black". It
cuts to a scene with the specialist and the one-armed guy.

Now that Elizabeth Greene is finally dead it's time for you to finish
your job of punishing those who are responsible for doing what they
did to you.

 - Go to the contacts phone booth.

When you're ready go to the yellow star for your next mission. You find
out you're getting an immunity to the Bloodtox. Your contact tells you to
let them take you in, so that they think they're in control. At that time
they'll take you to McMullen.

[Next Objective]
> Destroy the Bloodtox Production Facility
- Go to the Bloodtox Facility.

Make your way to the blue waypoint. At the area around there is a bunch
of Bloodtox. 

> Destroy the filter units to disable the Facility

There are a total of 8 filters to destroy. If you remember the last time
you had an objective like this, I said to just use your Blade weapon
and to use the Blade Air Slice. I'd recommend doing this again. There
are some super soldiers and it's a tighter space, so it might be a bit
tougher, but it's still easy to do this way.

Now that the filters are down, you can get you way to see McMullen. They
take you and the next scene shows you and McMullen. He says how smart
you were and that he was going to expose Blackwatch. You see a scene 
where you throw a vile down and get shot. The infection gets inside your
blood stream that way. Then McMullen brings up Hope, Idaho. He brings
out his gun and before you can get the answers you want, he kills himself.

Now McMullen is finally dead. Not the way you would have wanted him to die

- Go to the Lookout Point.

You find out the guy who has been talking to you is the specialist. WTF? 
He tells you that soon everything around will be gone. He gives you a map 
and tells you if you really want to stop everything then to blow up the
helicopters so that a man named Taggart can't escape.

[Next Objective]
> Prevent Taggart Escaping by Air
- Go to the first helicopter staging area.

Glide your way on over to the blue arrow to get to the helicopter area. 
All you have to do is glide your way near there. Very easy.

> Destroy Taggart's transport helicopters

If you want you can still stay disguised. When I saw the helicopter over
head I jumped, held X to charge my kick and destroyed it in one hit. No
military caught me either, bhahaha!!!

Something else you can do in this mission is take control of a helicopter
and go around blasting them all down.

Now look at your map and take yourself to the red skull. You will see
another helicopter. Destroy that one as well.

There will be one more helicopter to destroy so do it.

After you destroy the first three you will need to follow the blue arrow to
the next staging area.

When you get to the area there will be four more helicopters to destroy. Do

At the third and final helicopter staging area there will be five heli's 
this time to destroy. Get them all as quick as you can. I almost failed
this mission when I did it from being too slow, haha.

Hope was a Blackwatch project. They wanted to make a weapon to attack a
bunch of racial types. But the experiment went wrong and everyone died. 
Well everyone except for Elizabeth Greene. Alex was working for Gentek. 
He stole a sample of the virus and it went inside of him. You find out
that Randal (one armed guy) wants to nuke the island like he did in 
Hope. Then you remember that Elizabeth Greene was pregnant.

[Day 15 of infection]

[Objectives]

 > Two Tickets
 - Force Taggart out into the Open
 - Pursue Taggart
 - Force Taggart to Flee
 - Consume Taggart

[First Objective]
> Two Tickets
- Go to the Lookout Point.

Make your way back to the lookout point on top of the building. You 
crippled Taggart's air power. He is going to try and flee out of the 
area. You're going to need to force him out of the military base and
consume him. 

[Next Objective]

- Go to Taggart's Base.

Follow the blue arrow and make your way to the military base.

> Destroy Taggart's Base

A little ways before you reach you will get an objective to destroy
the base itself. It's the big building right where all the military
are at. It has its own health bar to. Hijack a tank and blow it up
as quick as you can. When it's blown up Taggart will escape.

- Taggart is escaping. Pursue him.

You're going to want to follow his tank now. Just jump out of your tank
because it's only going to slow you down. Don't blow up his tank because
you're going to need this bastard to be alive. Just follow him until he
comes to a stop.

[Next Objective]
> Force Taggart to Flee
- Destroy Taggart's reinforcements.

When he comes to a stop you'll need to blow up the three tanks that are 
trying to protect him. After that he is going to run away.

Follow him down the streets some more. Don't get too far behind. On the 
way you'll run into three tanks. Destroy them if you want. When he makes
it to the end of another road there will be four more tanks trying to 
protect him. Destroy them.

He is yet again going to flee from you. Continue to follow him down the
streets until he makes his way to another stop. This time there will be
five tanks to destroy. After that he is going to try and flee to the
bridge.

Taggart is quickly trying to make a run for it to the bridge. Jump on
top of the tank and hijack it. You'll jump inside the tank and then
you'll consume him. You'll get a Web of Intrigue on him and that's that.

It's now back to the beginning of the game. Day 18 of infection. You're
talking to Colonel Cross. He says he has Taggart and brings him in. The
one armed guy shoots him right in the head and they walk away. He then
puts a gun to Cross. Ohh noes it's not really Taggart it's Alex. You
pick him up and drop him to the ground. Alex talks about Hope, Idaho. 

You see another Web of Intrigue. They show Elizabeth Greene having a kid
and how they now belong to the military. Cross grabs you and says that 
he can consume you. WTF who is this guy? He turns into a type of
Supreme Hunter and does a devastator attack. Time for a fight.

- Defeat the Supreme Hunter and stop the nuclear weapon.

This is going to be somewhat like the last time you had to deal with
one of these. Only this guy is going to have devastator attacks. And 
if you get hit by one you'll basically be dead in one hit. 

So what you're going to have to do is keep it safe. Keep your distance
a bit and use your Blade weapon from up high. If he is protecting himself
too much and it's getting annoying, use your other Blade techniques. 

Eventually when you hit him a lot he will get stunned and won't be able 
to move. When that happens press B to jump on his back and then press X
as fast as you can.

After a little while they will show a short scene with a bunch of military
guys with some guns. At that point you'll be given only three minutes to
defeat the Supreme Hunter, so work fast. He is pretty easy so it won't
take too long. When you're done you'll get a sweet reward.

They will show a scene with Alex getting inside a helicopter. He will
get up in the air with the nuke attached to the bottom.

They show a nice shot of the city at night and the helicopter heading
to what seems to be the moon. But wait it's just the ocean. He drops
the nuke inside and it explodes. You get hit and get blasted pretty far.
A crow comes over to check on you, and you consume it. 

Alex does a little monologue talking about how he feels. The credits show
what seem to be people talking on the news. Of course the military and the
armed forces gets all the praise even though they basically caused it.

QUESTION: Should I play this game?
ANSWER: Hell yes.

QUESTION: What is New Game+ ?
ANSWER: It means starting a new game on the difficulty you just beat but
        being able to keep all of your Powers from the game before.

QUESTION: Where can I get cheat codes?
ANSWER: Not many are known yet but when more come out look at the 'Cheats'
        section on GameFAQs. I may or may not add some to this guide.

QUESTION: How do I exit a tank/helicopter?
ANSWER: Hold the 'B' button.

QUESTION: what is the easiest way to skyjack a helicopter?
ANSWER: Use the 'Longshot Grab' with the Whipfist.

QUESTION: How do I infiltrate Military Bases?
ANSWER: You need to find a Commander and consume him. They can usually be
        found roaming around the base. They stick out from the rest of the
        military and under your picture on the top left of the screen you 
        will see a key. Then you can enter the base.

QUESTION: Are the Web of Intrigue targets gone forever if I kill them?
ANSWER: No they will re-spawn later.
