The purpose of this guide is to give you strategies to help effectively
fight the different enemy types in Ninja Gaiden II. The strategies
mentioned in the guide will be set up to assist in dealing with these
enemies when fighting them alone or in groups, but it will not cover
specific circumstances that can play to your advantage or disadvantage
such as the terrain or the specific enemy pairing. Even so, most of
these strategies can be applied in some way under any circumstances,
which will allow you to make the most of them regardless.

The enemies are divided into groups that are based on their physical
appearances and are then divided into the specific enemies. Each group
will have characteristics that they share, which are explained below:

Izuna Drop: Are these enemies able to be Izuna Dropped?
Limb removal: Can limbs be removed from these enemies?
Death by decapitation: Will these enemies die when decapitated?
Self-Destruct: Will these enemies self-destruct (guard break) when killed?
Shuriken stun: Are these enemies stunned by Shurikens?
Incendiary Shurikens: Will Incendiary Shurikens work on these enemies?

1.0:  I believe all the enemies are listed here. There might be an
      attack or two missing for the Armadillo, but I believe that's
      it. Otherwise, I intend to expand on the tips for each enemy.

1.1:  Added the missing enemy types, updated a few enemies' move 
      lists, and made it easier to find specific enemies.

1.2:  Some minor additions to the details for ninja moves and for
      a number of the specific enemy strategies.

Enemy: Black Spider Ninja [N01]
Description: It's a basic ninja with brown-colored clothing.

Slashes: It will slash you two to five times. All slashes are blockable.
Dash Slash: It will do a small dash and slash once. The slash will guard
            break.
Kicks: It will kick you three or four times. All kicks are blockable.
Grab: It will try to grab you. If you are grabbed, you will be slashed
      once.
Cartwheel Grab: It will do a cartwheel in an attempt to grab you. If you
                are caught in the cartwheel, you will be hit twice.
Shurikens: It will throw some shurikens at you. They can be blocked.
Shuriken Backflip: It will throw some shurikens at you while doing a
                   backflip. They can be blocked.

(No arm)
Slashes: It will slash you two to four times. All slashes are blockable.
Dash Slash: It will do a small dash and slash once. The slash will guard

As far as enemies go, this is about as basic as it gets. Even in groups,
there's nothing really menacing about them. Countering works well on
them, as their slashes are easy to counter and doing so could take off
a limb.

Enemy: Fire Archer [N02]
Description: It's a Black Spider Ninja with a bow and fire arrows.

Fire Arrows: It will shoot fire arrows at you. The arrows will guard break.

(Close range) 
Slashes: It will slash you two to five times. All slashes are blockable.
Dash Slash: It will do a small dash and slash once. The slash will guard
            break.
Kicks: It will kick you three or four times. All kicks are blockable.
Grab: It will try to grab you. If you are grabbed, you will be slashed
      once.
Cartwheel Grab: It will do a cartwheel in an attempt to grab you. If you
                are caught in the cartwheel, you will be hit twice.
Shurikens: It will throw some shurikens at you. They can be blocked.
Shuriken Backflip: It will throw some shurikens at you while doing a

These are basically brown ninjas with bows. If you move in to close
range, they'll either try to flip away from you or pull out their swords
and start fighting like regular Black Spider Ninjas until you're away
from them. You can approach them more easily with Wind Runs, although
using an attack that can keep them off-balance, such as the Windmill
Shuriken, is helpful.

Enemy: White Ninja [N03]
Description: It's a basic ninja with white-colored clothing.

Enemy: Explosive Archer [N04]
Description: It's a White Ninja with a bow and explosive arrows.

Explosive Arrows: It will shoot explosive arrows at you. The arrows will
                  guard break, but still do damage.

(Close range) 
Slashes: It will slash you two to five times. All slashes are blockable.
Dash Slash: It will do a small dash and slash once. The slash will guard
            break.
Kicks: It will kick you three or four times. All kicks are blockable.
Grab: It will try to grab you. If you are grabbed, you will be slashed
      once.
Cartwheel Grab: It will do a cartwheel in an attempt to grab you. If you
                are caught in the cartwheel, you will be hit twice.
Shurikens: It will throw some shurikens at you. They can be blocked.
Shuriken Backflip: It will throw some shurikens at you while doing a
                   backflip. They can be blocked.

(No arm, close range)
Slashes: It will slash you two to four times. All slashes are blockable.
Dash Slash: It will do a small dash and slash once. The slash will guard

These are basically white ninjas with bows. If you move in to close range,
they'll pull out their swords and fight like regular white ninjas until
you move away again. Their arrows are deadly accurate and powerful, so
take them out quickly. Wind Run is useful against them, but it's not
always reliable due to how quickly they fire their arrows. Attacks with
some sort of range are useful against them, such as the Windmill Shuriken
or the Scythe's Ultimate Technique.

Enemy: Fiend Ninja [N05]
Description: It's a basic ninja with dull green-colored clothing.

Slashes: It will slash you two to five times. All slashes are blockable.
Dash Slash: It will do a small dash and slash once. The slash will guard
            break.
Kicks: It will kick you three or four times. All kicks are blockable.
Grab: It will try to grab you. If you are grabbed, you will be slashed
      once.
Sacrifice Grab: It will try to grab you. If you are grabbed, it will blow
                its arm up.
Cartwheel Grab: It will do a cartwheel in an attempt to grab you. If you
                are caught in the cartwheel, you will be hit twice.
Shurikens: It will throw some shurikens at you. They can be blocked.
Shuriken Backflip: It will throw some shurikens at you while doing a
                   backflip. They can be blocked.

(No arm)
Slashes: It will slash you two to four times. All slashes are blockable.
Dash Slash: It will do a small dash and slash once. The slash will guard
            break.
Kicks: It will kick you three or four times. All kicks are blockable.
Shurikens: It will throw some shurikens at you. They can be blocked.
Grab: It will try to grab you. If it does, it will climb on you and stab
      you five times, followed by blowing itself up unless you shake it

Kamikaze Grab: It will try to grab you. If it does, it will climb on you
               and blow itself up.
Shuriken: It will throw a shuriken at you. It can be blocked.
Shuriken Backflip: It will throw some shurikens at you while doing a
                   backflip. They can be blocked.

Grab: It will try to grab you. If it does, it will climb on your back
      and impale you with its sword. It will continue to impale you until
      you shake it off.
Kamikaze Grab: It will try to grab you. If it does, it will climb on you
               and blow itself up.
Shuriken: It will throw a shuriken at you. Can be blocked.

These are more powerful White Ninjas. Izuna Drops are good for taking
them out. Be very careful of their powerful suicide throws. Since these
are often in packs with more powerful enemies, it helps to keep them
as far away as possible while dealing with other enemies so that they
can't use a throw.

Enemy: Black Spider Claw Ninja [N06]
Description: It's a brown-colored ninja wielding claws in each hand.

Flip Slashes: It will slash you four times while flipping. The first
              three slashes are blockable and the last slash will guard
              break if blocked.
Double Slash: It will slash you with both claws. Can be blocked.
Kicks: It will kick you three times. All kicks are blockable.
Grab: It will try to grab you. If you are grabbed, you will be slashed
      twice.
Shurikens: It will throw some shurikens at you. They can be blocked.
Shuriken Backflip: It will throw some shurikens at you while doing a
                   backflip. They can be blocked.

(No arm)
Slashes: It will slash you two to four times. All slashes are blockable.

Description: It's a black-colored ninja wielding claws in each hand.

Although these are essentially the same as Black Spider Claw Ninjas, 
their Incendiary Shurikens are what make them notorious. Izuna Drops
are good for taking them out. When fighting them in groups, try using
moves that give you temporary invincibility to help avoid the Incendiary
Shurikens, such as Guillotine Throws.

Enemy: Fiend Incendiary Shuriken Ninja [N08]
Description: It's a Purple Ninja wielding claws in each hand.

              three slashes are blockable and the last slash will guard
              break if blocked.
Double Slash: It will slash you with both claws. Can be blocked.

Grab: It will try to grab you. If you are grabbed, you will be slashed
      twice.
Sacrifice Grab: It will try to grab you. If you are grabbed, it will blow

Incendiary Shuriken: It will throw an incendiary shuriken at you. Can
                     be blocked.

These are more powerful Incendiary Shuriken Ninjas. Izuna Drops are good
for taking them out, but they will leave you at risk of being grabbed. 
When fighting them in groups, try using moves that give you temporary
invincibility to help avoid the Shurikens, such as Guillotine Throws.

Enemy: Tac Ninja [N09]
Description: It's a gray ninja with green markings on its mask that wields
             a machine gun and swords.

--------------------------------------------------------------------
(Normal)
Slashes: It will slash you two to five times. All slashes are blockable.
Dash Slash: It will do a small dash and slash once. The slash will guard
            break.
Kicks: It will kick you three or four times. All kicks are blockable.
Cartwheel: It will hit you with a cartwheel and then shoot you a few times
           with its machine gun.
Aerial Fire: It will flip over your head and rain machine gun fire down on
             you. It can be blocked, but you will be guard locked if you
             block it.
Machine Gun Fire: It will shoot you with its machine gun. The length of time
                  it will try shooting you will vary. It can be blocked, but
                  you will be guard locked if you block it.
Grab: It will try to grab you. If you are grabbed, you will be slashed
      once.
Cartwheel Grab (Sword): It will do a cartwheel in an attempt to grab you.
                        If you are caught in the cartwheel, you will be
                        slashed twice.
Cartwheel Grab (Gun): It will do a cartwheel in an attempt to grab you.
                      If you are caught in the cartwheel, you will be
                      knocked down and it will keep shooting you until
                      you break out of the grab.

(No machine gun arm)
Slashes: It will slash you two to four times. All slashes are blockable.
Dash Slash: It will do a small dash and slash once. The slash will guard
            break.
Kicks: It will kick you three or four times. All kicks are blockable.
Grab: It will try to grab you. If it does, it will climb on you and stab
      you five times, followed by blowing itself up unless you shake it
      off.
Kamikaze Grab: It will try to grab you. If it does, it will climb on you,
               impale you, and blow itself up.
Shuriken: It will throw a shuriken at you. It can be blocked.
Shuriken Backflip: It will throw some shurikens at you while doing a
                   backflip. They can be blocked.

(No sword arm)
Machine Gun Fire: It will shoot you with its machine gun. The length of time

seconds, it will drop its rocket launcher and fight you at close range.
If you take its leg off and move next to it, it will glitch and be

fairly powerful. The easiest way to beat them is by using a fully-

locating you.

These are very powerful, and yet very balanced enemies. Attack them between
combos or at a distance with the Scythe's Ultimate Technique. They tend to
be most vulnerable after performing a landing attack. Limb removal with
the Scythe or with the Lunar's 360 Ultimate Technique followed by an
Obliteration Technique is an effective way to take them out.

Description: It's a floating robot.

Although their accuracy isn't perfect, they are still annoying to deal
with, especially since they move around so quickly. Keep them locked
in place with powerful combos, such as the Scythe's aerial XYY until
they are destroyed. They will spend most of their time moving around
as opposed to attacking, making it worthwhile to deal with other
enemies first when fighting them in a group.

Description: It's a four-leg female spider robot with two heads.

What Genshin lacks in speed, he makes up for in his conservative fighting
style. To beat him effectively, you must wait for one of his combos to end
and then get in a quick combo of your own. If you attack him at any other
time, he will either hit you first or block and counter. The two best times
to hit him are after his Flying Swallow or dashes. As far as which attacks
to use, any strong and quick attacks work. In particular, the Talon's
->XXXXXX combo and the Dragon Sword's XYY combo are safe and effective
against him.

If he has minions with him, take them out first.

Enemy: Fiend Genshin [B04]
Description: Human with black body armor, red pants, a claw, and the
             Blade of the Archfiend. His sword may also go on fire.

Underworld Drop: He will try to grab you. If he does, he will spin you
                 into the air, slam you down, then slash you away.
Four Slashes: He will slash you four times. The first hit will guard break
              if blocked and the rest of the hits can be blocked.
Five Slashes: He will slash five times. The second and fourth slashes will
              guard break if blocked and the rest can be blocked. If the
              last slash lands, he will transition into an Underworld Drop.
Six Slashes: He will slash six times. The second, fifth, and sixth slashes
             will guard break if blocked and the rest can be blocked.
Kick Slashes: He will kick you and then slash four times. The first and
              third slashes will guard break if blocked and the rest can
              be blocked. If the last slash lands, he will transition into
              an Underworld Drop.
Spin Slashes: He will slash twice and then spin slash twice. The first three
              slashes can be blocked, but the last one will guard break if
              blocked.
Slash Dash: He will do a small dash and then strike with his sword. It will
            guard break if blocked. He will also use this as a counter.
Claw Dash: He will do a small dash and then strike with his claw. It will
           guard break if blocked.
Spiral Slash: He will slash multiple times in a vertical spiral and then
              end with a final slash. The vertical slashes can not be
              blocked and the last slash can be blocked.
Flying Swallow: He will dash at you in the air. It will guard break you
                if blocked.
Dash: He will dash at you. Can not be blocked. He may knock you into the
      air and transition into an Underworld Drop. He will also use this
      as a counter.
Dash combo: He will dash at you and then follow up with three slashes. The
            dash will guard break if blocked and the rest can be blocked.
Fire Shurikens: He will toss four fire shurikens in a "fan" formation
                toward you. They will guard break if blocked.
Fist Shockwave: He will slam his fist and cause a big fire shockwave for
                heavy damage. Can not be blocked.
Teleport Slam: He will teleport above you and slam down. It will guard
               break if blocked. He will also use this as a counter.
Teleport Shurikens: He will teleport above you and throw his fire shurikens
                    down in a "fan" formation. They will guard break if
                    blocked. He will also use this as a counter.

It's Genshin again, but he now has teleportation attacks and adds fire
to his weapons. The Kusari-gama's aerial YY combo will allow you to 
deal good damage to him without having too much trouble with his
teleportation counters.

If he has minions with him, ignore them and focus on him.

Enemy: Gigadeath [B05]
Description: Big metallic fish.

Electric Orb Barrage: It will lauch a long stream of electric orbs.
                      They will guard break if blocked.
Mini Missiles: It will launch small versions of itself at you that
               will explode on contact. They will guard break if
               blocked. If they are killed first, which can be done
               easily with the Lunar's YYYY or ninpo, they will drop
               essence.
Explosive Face: It will launch a giant blue face of electricity at
                you that will explode on contact. Can not be blocked.
                Although it will home in on you, you can trick it into
                exploding on the wall.
Electricity Repel: If you get close to its belly, it will shock you.
                   Can not be blocked.
Grab: It will speed up and try to grab you. If it does, it will drag
      you against the wall and toss you away.

The primary way to damage this boss is to hit its face with charged
arrows. You'll need to move after every arrow or two because it will
be moving back and forth. Stay away from it, as it will shock you
if you get too close to its belly. If it turns over, get as many hits
in as you can before it turns back over.

You can beat it by making use of the invincibility gained through the
Lunar's 360 Ultimate Technique. Use it as Gigadeath approaches to
damage it without being shocked.

There will be an arrow corpse nearby.

Enemy: Godomus [B06]
Description: It's a giant blind troll that is gray in color.

Punch: It will punch you. Can be blocked, but will guard break.
Swipe: It will swing its arm while turning. Can be blocked, but will

Slam: It will slam the ground around it for heavy damage. Can not be
      blocked.
Sonic Wave: It will shoot out a wave from the center of its body in a
            line for heavy damage. Can not be blocked.
Object Toss: It will pick up a nearby object and throw it at you. Can
             not be blocked.
Grab: It will try to grab you. If it does, it will slam you twice and
      then throw you away.

The easiest way to beat it is to get behind it and attack it will a full
combo in between dash-dodging its slam move. If you choose to attack it
from the front, it will temporarily fall over if you do enough damage.
Once its health is low, you can finish it off with an Obliteration
Technique. 

If it has minions with it, you are likely better off focusing on it.

Description: He's human-like in appearance with blue wings, black clothes,
             and an exposed chest.

Lightning Orbs: He will lauch four lightning orbs at you. Can not be
                blocked.
Lightning Slam: He will go into the air and slam his fist down with
                lightning. Can not be blocked.
Lightning Repel: He will surround himself with lightning. Can not be
                 blocked.
Double Zap: He will throw two lightning blasts at you from the air and will
            continue using this until you move in close to him. Can not be
            blocked and is best dash-dodged in a zig-zag pattern.
Tornado: He will spin around and become a tornado, then try to run into
         you. Can not be blocked, but a Wind Run or Flying Swallow will
         get you through it.
Grab: He will try to grab you at close range. If he does, he will punch
      you twice, shock you, slam you, and then knock you away.
Dive Grab: He will dive at you from the air in an attempt to grab you.
           If he does, he will shock you and then slam you away.

Punches: He will punch you four times. The first three hits will guard
         break if blocked, but the last hit can not be blocked.
Dash Punch: He will dash at you and then punch. It will guard break if

         you. He will then change direction and try to hit you again after
         that. Can not be blocked, but Wind Runs or Flying Swallows will
         get you through it.
Grab: He will try to grab you at close range. If he does, he will punch
      you twice, shock you, slam you, and then knock you away.
Berserk Grab: He will try to grab you at close range. If he does, he will
              hit you four times, spin you around, and then toss you away.

Alexi's strength is his agility. All of his attacks are fast and require
precise timing to avoid. To top it all off, once his health gets very low,
he will enter berserk mode, gaining a boost in both attack power and speed.
Some good times to hit him are after dodging his dive attacks or after
dodging his close-range combos. Aerial attacks that give you good height,
such as the Kusari-gama's YXY aerial, or give you temporary invincibility,
such as the Scythe's XYY aerial, are effective as well. If he has minions,
try to take them out as soon as possible. You will want to be able to 
make effective use of dodge timing and they will only get in the way.

You can also try to hit him with a powerful move while he's preparing
his tornado or lightning orbs to stun him. From there, you can use the
Flails' X attack repeatedly to beat him without any trouble. Keep in mind
that you want just the X attack repeatedly, not an X-based combo. Also,
even if you do stun him, he will occasionally break out of it too quickly
for you to take advantage of it.

When fighting his chapter 13 version, he will enter berserk mode once his
health is low. Try to kill him quickly at this point, as his increases in
strength and speed will make him deadly.

If there are minions, try to gradually take them out as you fight him. If
you try to focus solely on them, you'll likely get hit by Alexi. Chaining
Ultimate Techniques is a safe way to kill them while damaging him.

Enemy: Water Dragon [B08]
Description: Giant blue dragon.

Water Shockwave: It will send a shockwave of water at you. Can not be
                 blocked.
Curve Shockwave: It will send a shockwave of water at you that will
                 curve as it moves. Can not be blocked.
Icicles: It will send homing icicles at you. Can not be blocked.
Jump: It will jump up and slam down. Can not be blocked.
Grab: It will try to grab you with its mouth. If it does, it will chomp
      you until you break out of it.
Tentacle Grab: It will try to grab you with its tentacle. If it does,
               it will flail you around and then slam you down.
Summon Ghost Fish: It will summon Ghost Fish.

The easiest way to beat it is to stay on the starting platform and shoot
its face with charged arrows. You can dodge its attacks back and forth,
although you'll likely get hit by its icicles. 

The other way to fight it is to water run around it and hit it with a combo
in between its attacks while circling around it. Once you weaken it, you 
can finish it off with an Obliteration Technique.

If there are minions, take them out first.

Enemy: Bone Skeleton [B09]
Description: Giant skeleton.

Fist Swing: It will swing its fist once and then slam its fist. It

Fist Slams: It will slam its fists multiple times. It will guard break

Elbow Slam: It will slam its elbow. It will guard break if blocked.
Arm Spin: It will spin its arm all the way around. It will guard break
          if blocked.
Bone Kick: It will kick with its foot and send a shockwave of bones
           toward you. It will guard break and deal damage if blocked.
Bone Drop: It will drop bones down directly in front of it. It will guard
           break if blocked.
Bone Toss: It will toss bones left over from the Bone Drop attack at you.
Wall Grab: It will try to grab you. If it does, it will put you in its
           mouth and slam you against the wall until you break out of it.
Sitting Grab: It will try to grab you. If it does, it will sit down, drop
              bones on you, crush you with its hand, and toss you away.

Try to get right behind its leg and spam a powerful combo on it. A few of
them should cause him to fall. From then on, constatly using the combo
should make him unable to hit you until his health is low. Even then, he
will only be able to attack once or twice before he will be knocked down
to be finished off. As long as you stay behind him, he will only be able
to hit you with his spin, which can be blocked, or the beginning of his
kick, which can be dodged. If he's becoming a problem during the beginning
or near the end when he's able to get a hit or two in, you can use Inferno
ninpo to help the process along. As long as you stay behind him, he should
only be able to hit you with his spinning attack, which can be blocked.

If he has minions, you're likely better off ignoring them and going all
out on it. Otherwise, you could use their essence to chain Ultimate
Techniques on it.

Enemy: Volf [B10]
Description: He's a giant werewolf with four arms and a scythe.

Scythe Swings: He will do three big swings with the scythe, spin it around
               above him, swing again, then slam it down. The scythe swings
               will guard break if blocked, but the slam can not be blocked.
               If he hits you with the third swing, he will knock you into
               the air to be juggled by his high swings.
Spin Strike: He will spin the scythe around twice, then slam it down. It will
             guard break if blocked.
Punch Spin: He will punch once or twice and then spin the scythe twice. The
            punches can be blocked and the scythe swings will guard break
            if blocked.
Slam: He will slam the scythe down once or twice. It will guard break if
      blocked.
Jump Slam: He will jump into the air and slam the scythe down. Can not
           be blocked.
Scythe Toss: He will hook the Scythe into your body and toss you over his
             head. Can not be blocked.
Dash: He will dash at you for heavy damage. Can not be blocked.
Shockwave: He will send a shockwave at you. Can not be blocked.
Counter Swings: If he blocks you attack, he will counter with four heavy
                scythe swings. They will guard break you if block them.
Counter Dash: If he blocks you attack, he will counter with three heavy
              scythe swings and then dash. The swings will guard break you
              if block them, but the dash can not be blocked.

Grab: He will try to grab you. If he does, he will slam you down, slash you
      three times, and knock you away.
Dash Grab: He will dash at you to try and grab you. If he does, he will slam
           you down, slash you three times, and knock you away.

As his move list will probably tell you, Volf relies heavily on his raw
power. Almost all his attacks will either guard break you or simply can
not be blocked. You can, however, take advantage of his low speed and get
in a combo in between his combos. Be very careful of attacking as he
prepares to attack or else he may block you attack and counter. 

A very simple way to beat Volf as long as you practice the timing for
it is to stun-lock him with the Scythe. When using the Scythe's aerial
XXY on him as he prepares to attack, one of the two X hits should be
blocked. Immediately after being blocked, hit YY and you will both
damage and stun him with the hits. Wait a few seconds for him to begin
his attack again and repeat the process. As long as your X attacks hit
him properly, you can use this to effectively never be hit. Be very
careful about waiting too long to attack him, though, or else he will
repel you and you will fall directly in front of him, at which point he
has a very high likelihood of dashing you.

Volf can also be stunned as he either prepares or ends an attack. Any
very quick attack that deals good damage may stun him, but the opening
to stun him is very small. He will always remained stunned long enough
to prepare the Flails.

Alternatively, you can get away from him and lure him into dashing. As
he gets near you, use a Wind Run to dodge him and use the Scythe's XXY
aerial combo at the peak of the jump. Along with dealing a good amount
of damage to him, the hits will also stun him. You can then back away
from him and repeat this method until he falls. The disadvantage to this
method is that you run the risk of being taken out by the dash if you
time your dodge wrong.

If he has minions, you can ignore them or go for them first. Be careful
if you choose to go after the minions, though, as he may attempt to
dash you.

Eruption: It will launch a lot of molten rocks from its shell at you.
          Can not be blocked.
Fire Breath: It will breathe fire at you. Can not be blocked.
Erupting Roll: It will roll at you while launching molten rocks at you.
               It will guard break if blocked.
Grab: It will try to grab you with its mouth. If it does, it will 
      chomp on you and then blast you with fire to knock you away.

You'll need to attack its face to beat it. Although any powerful combos
work, the easiest method is to use Incendiary Shurikens on it, since they
will stun it. Once its health gets low, it will enter a berserk mode. 
Once it loses a little more health, you will be able to finish it off
with an Obliteration Technique. Once it dies, it will self-destruct,
which must be blocked.

Enemy: Zedonius [B12]
Description: Winged black/red demon.

Fireballs: He will throw four fireballs at you. They will guard break
           and deal damage if blocked.
Fire Pillar: He will make a pillar of fire appear under you. Can not
             be blocked.
Landing: He will land on you and release a small shockwave. Can not be
         blocked. It's best dodged with a well-timed Wind Run.
Gaja Summon: He will summon Gajas to fight you. It can be interrupted
             by a Scythe Ultimate Technique.

(On the ground)
Punches: He will punch you four times. The second and fourth punches
         will guard break and the rest can be blocked.
Kick Uppercut: He will kick you and then uppercut you. It will guard
               break if blocked. If any of his hits are on fire, they
               can not be blocked.
Kick Uppercut Slam: He will kick you, uppercut you, and then slam you.
                    It will guard break if blocked. If any of his hits
                    are on fire, they can not be blocked.
Fireballs: He will throw four fireballs at you. They will guard break
           and deal damage if blocked.
Fire Pillar: He will make a pillar of fire appear under you. Can not
             be blocked.
Gaja Summon: He will summon Gajas to fight you. It can be interrupted
             by a Scythe Ultimate Technique or a Flying Swallow.
Grab: He will try to grab you. If he does, he will slam you down, punch
      you, hold you up to be punched four times, and then knock you away.

(Chapter 12 form only, on the ground)
Fire Beam: He will shoot a beam of fire and turn it toward you. Can not
           be blocked. The closer you are to him, the easier it is to
           dodge it.
Fire Wave: He will launch a wave of fire in a straight line. Can not be
           blocked. You can Wind Path right through it.

While in the air, it is not advisable to attack him. Focus on dodging
his attacks, especially his landing attack. After that attack is the
best time to hit him, especially with the Scythe's YYYY combo.

When he's on the ground, stay in medium range so you can dodge all his
attacks and hit him between moves. Aerial attacks are also effective
here, as they can allow you to dodge his punches.

It is possible to stun him with a Flying Swallow, although the timing
is much more difficult. The easiest time to land it is when he's
either preparing an attack or just as his fire beam attack ends. The
easiest way to stun him is to wait for him to use the fire beam attack,
dodge it in a circle around him at close range, and then Wind Path into
a Flying Swallow just as he's about to end the attack. He will always
remain stunned long enough to prepare the Flails.

If he has minions with him, take those out first. Going all out on
Zedonius is not recommended.

Enemy: Tunnel Worm [B13]
Description: It's a giant worm.

Tongue Smack: It will smack you with its tongue one or two times. It
              will guard break if blocked.
Acid Spit: It will spit acid at you. It will guard break and deal 
           damage if blocked.
Charge: It will move really quickly through the tunnel. If you are
        in its way, you'll be hit and knocked back along with it.
        It will guard break if blocked.
Grab: It will try to grab you. If it does, it will drag you across
      the tunnel wall and then toss you back.

The easiest way to beat it is to use Scythe Ultimate Techniques from
the side rooms. Make sure to step out of the room and quickly go back
in after it moves away to ensure that it comes back. 

To fight it up close, use a well-timed Ultimate Technique to stop it
in its tracks, get a combo or two in, and quickly go into a side room
before it grabs you.

Description: Giant yellow bird.

Summon Dragons: It will summon Dragons to fight you.

You'll need to use ranged attacks for this fight, since it will always
remain at a distance. If you have the Void ninpo available, it will do
massive damage if you hit it while it's preparing an attack. 

If there are minions, you'll likely want to take them out first so they
don't get in the way of charging your arrows.

Enemy: Elizebet [B15]
Description: Red human-like female with wings and a tail.

Air Tail Stab: She will stab you with her tail two or three times. It

Air Dash: She will dash at you. It will guard break and do damage if
          blocked.
Blood Drain: She will make blood orbs appear that will shoot blood spears
             at you. Can not be blocked. If they hit, they will heal her
             in addition to hurting you.
Teleport Grab: She will make one to three red circles appear. If you
               are trapped in one, she will stab you with her tail, stab
               you many times, slam you down, and kick dash you away.

(On the ground)
Claw Combo: She will strike you four times with her claws. The last
            two hits will guard break and the rest can be blocked.
Tail Stab: She will stab you with her tail two or three times. It
           will guard break if blocked.
Dash: She will dash at you. It will guard break if blocked.
Kick Dash: She will dash at you with her foot. It will guard break if
           blocked.
Tail Grab: She will try to grab you with her tail. If she does, she will
           use it to toss you away.
Claw Grab: She will strike you three times with her claws. If the last
           hit connects, she will transition into the Tail Grab. The
           last hit will guard break and the rest can be blocked.
Stab Grab: She will stab you three and then stab you with her tail. If her
           tail stab connects, she will transition into the Tail Grab. 
           The first hit can be blocked and the rest will guard break.

Elizebet's quick attacks and frequent dashing make her a very strong
boss that will put your dodging to the test. On top of that, her
teleport throw and blood draining attacks will punish you for keeping
her at a distance. Once again, Scythe aerial combos will work, although
her speed will require you to be careful of when you use them. If you
time them wrong, she will most likely knock you out of the air. The best
part about using them is that the hits will still land if she tries to
dash around you.

Elizebet, too, can be stunned. Hit her with a Flying Swallow as she is
using her blood drain attack and she will fall down. she will always
remain stunned long enough to prepare the Flails. The biggest problem
with this method is that she will often block or dodge your Flying
Swallow, leaving you dangerously vulnerable to her blood drain attack.

If she has minions, consider taking the more dangerous ones out before
fighting her. Trying to take all of them out may not be such a great
idea, since she is aggressive.

Enemy: Dagra Dai [B16]
Description: Human-like with tentacles and two swords.

Summon Van Gelfs: He will make three Purple Van Gelfs appear.
Lightning: He will make bolts of lightning strike the ground underneath
           you. Can not be blocked, but can be avoided by remaining in
           the air.
Pillars: He will make six purple energy pillars appear underneath you and
         then fire a big white laser at you. Can not be blocked. The laser
         will home in on your position, meaning you'll want to trick him
         by moving around directly underneath him.

(On the ground)
Tentacle Stab: He will stab you with two tentacles. They will guard break.
Tentacle Spin: He will spin his tentacles around. Can not be blocked. It
               can be avoided by being above his tentacles.
Triple Slash: He will slash you three times. The first hit can be blocked
              and the other two will guard break.
Sword Stab: He will try to stab you with his sword. If he does, he will
            slash you, stab you with his tentacles, and then use his sword
            to toss you away.
Lightning: He will make bolts of lightning strike the ground underneath
           you. Can not be blocked, but can be avoided by remaining in
           the air.
Lightning Slashes: He will slash you twice and then use his lightning
                   move. The first slash can be blocked and the other
                   will guard break.

When he is in the air, he can be hit by the Scythe's aerial XXY combo. 
You can use this to hit him at any time as long as he's not using the
Pillar move. 

Once he is on the ground, you'll want to wait until he finishes an attack
to hit him. He will often teleport away before you can finish a combo,
although aerial attacks seem less likely to cause that to happen. The best
time to do damage to him is when he is "floating" around on his tentacles.
Use that opportunity to get in a few powerful Scythe XXY aerial combos.

His Purple Van Gelf summon can be easily dealt with by using an Inferno ninpo
on all of them, although leaving them alive until he drops down may be a
better idea. If they're alive, he tends to do so more often.

Enemy: Archfiend Incomplete Form [B17]
Description: Giant gray/brown creature that looks like a bug with a
             dangling eyeball.

Fist Slam: It will slam its fist down. It will guard break if blocked.

             blocked.
Blue Skulls: It will send blue skulls at you. They will guard break if
             blocked.
Mouth Laser: It will fire a laser from its mouth. Can not be blocked.
Blood Spit: It will spit up blood at you. It will guard break if blocked.
            It will also use this attack every time you hurt it.
Tail Smack: It will use its tail to smack away the obstacle that will let
            you climb up to the next phase, but it will hit you if you're
            too close. It will guard break if blocked.

(Phase 2 and onward)
Arm Sweep: It will sweep its arm across the ground. It will guard break
           if blocked.

(Phase 3 and onward)
Horizontal Laser: It will sweep its chest laser across the ground. Can
                  not be blocked.
Vertical Laser: It will sweep its chest laser upward. Can not be blocked.

Charged arrows are the method for killing it. Let the auto-aim handle
the aiming, as it will always aim for the closest available target. 
Once you hit the face, the core will light up, allowing you to hit it
for more damage. The core will deactivate once it attacks you and will
reactivate once you hit the face again. After you hit it, jump out of
the way of the blood spit and do an On-Landing charge with the Bow
to hit it again before it can attack you.

Once you deal enough damage to it, it will climb up and you will have
to follow it. Make sure that you climb up quickly or else it will begin
to attack you early. The number of phases the fight is broken into
depends on the difficulty; 3 for Acolyte and Warrior, 4 for Mentor, and
5 for Master Ninja.

There will be an arrow corpse in each of the phase arenas.

Description: Giant red demon with wings.

(On the cliff)
Fist Slams: It will slam the ground up to four times. Can not be blocked.
Laser: It will sweep a laser at you. Can not be blocked. You can dash
       toward it as it sweeps by.
Grab: It will try to grab you. If it does, it will slam you down and
      toss you away. It will also immediately go on the ground.

(In the air)
Fireballs: It will launch fireballs at you. Can not be blocked.
Shock: It will shock the ground. Can not be blocked. 
Dash: It will dash across the area. Can not be blocked.

(On the ground)
Collision: It will damage you if you touch it. Can not be blocked.

While it's on the cliff, use Scythe aerial XYY combos as it prepares an
attack. It will usually try to grab you, which you'll dodge. If it goes
to slam, use another XYY aerial after the second slam to dodge any more
it uses. If it goes to use its laser, you can use a Void ninpo to dodge
it and do damage.

When it's in the air, you can't hurt it. Dodge it's attacks until it
switches positions.

When it's on the ground, use Scythe aerial XXY combos on it. Don't worry
about collision damage, it's very minor.

Once its health is low, you can finish it off with an Obliteration
Technique.
