Controls are pretty much the same as the previous game, however this 
is the first Mega Man game to grace the Xbox 360. They are still basic
and easy to learn.

Left Stick: Move (Up, Down, Left, Right).

D-Pad: Move (Up, Down, Left, Right).

Select: Opens Menu (weapons, items, etc.)

Start: Pause menu.

X or B: Fire's weapon.

A: Jump.


If your an old school gamer like me, then you know the good tricks of
the trade of the Mega Man games (well, old games for that matter). 
Here are some general strategies to use to "beat the system" and other

If your having trouble with a certain jump and keep landing on the 
spikes, you can always run into a nearby enemy if there is one, which
leaves you "invincible" for a few seconds, giving you a chance to walk
on some spikes or through enemies as well.

If you reach a Boss with hardly any health left, just die on purpose, 
and you will spawn back at the boss' entrace with a full life bar 
(this also depends on how much lives you have left, if you only have 
one, don't use this technique or you will have to start over). 

Roll's shop has some very helpful items (look at the Roll's Shop sec-
tion for a complete item list) that you can purchase with bolts you 
collect through the eight boss levels. Stock up on lups and Energy 
Tanks, it makes this game much easier, especially if this is your 
first time playing through.

When your run out of lives you get the game over screen, and a choice
to go back to stage select screen or continue the stage. If you are
far in the game (particular the last four levels), continuing will put
you on the level you last played, but if you go back to the stage 
menu, you will have too start over from square one. Also, continues 
give you a second chance, however no matter what you will restart the
entire level. You will start with "02" lives, which is actually three,
since zero counts. Your weapons' energy will be all maxed, but your 
E-tanks and so forth will be gone if you used them.

Mega Man's dog Rush is quite handy, making the harder levels later in
the game much easier to get through. If you can't get passed a certain 
part of the level or do not have the greatest jumping skills, use 
Rush to safely get across. You start out with the classic R.Coil, 
which allows you to jump on the dog and use the spring for a very high
elevation jump. A little later in the game you will acquire the R. Jet
that allows rush to "fly" in directions, making pits and spikes a 
thing of the past. Just remember, Rush can be used only in certain 
circumstances, but opportunities come quite often in this game.

This is a Mega Man game. Each boss you defeat you acquire a weapon 
from them, that reflects some of their power. You use the weapons
against other bosses since each one has a weakness to a particular 
one. You can start in any order you want, but using the correct guns
will make the road to victory a lot easier. Check out the next section
for each boss' weakness.


Here are all eight of the bosses in Mega Man 9, with their weakness as
well as which item you recieve from them. This is not in any special 
order. For the other bosses in the last four levels, check the walk-

This is the order that I took my first time through. I had the least 
trouble on the Galaxy stage as well as the boss. Once again, it's up 
to you what route you want to take, and I am sure everyone has their
own taste and opinions of which order is the best. It's your call.

<!>Important Note: 

The levels in this game are more about practice and perfection rather
than just reading a guide and expect to walk right through them. I 
try my best here to get you through the puzzles and traps, but the 
best way to actually succeed is to practice and play each one. Trust 
me, they may be some what short but a lot of them can be very diff-
icult. Learning each stage is the key to win.


<> Fight your way through the small flying saucers, then climb both
ladders above. Watch out for the famous "Mettaur" (the old helmet 
enemies), then grab the small bolt to the right. Drop down the hole,
avoid the spikes and and get across to the right (the helmet may hit
you here, but just make sure you make it across).

<> Make it passed more spikes by using the ladder and platforms, just
be cautious of the flying saucers. Eliminate the helmets, then ascend
the ladder in the top right corner.

<> Here you will approach two wierd pink objects, which are actually
portals that let you teleport from one to the other. Jump into the 
right one so you exit out of the left one, giving you enough elevation
to reach the ladder above to the next room.

<> In the next area be very careful not to be grab by the helicopter
bots, since they will pick you up and throw you right into the spikes.
The best way to avoid them is to "fake" them out, simply by walking 
just far enough so they descend, then backing up so they miss. There
much like the "hand" in the Zelda series, just much more annoying. If
they do grab you, you can still jump even when you are in their 

<> After grabbing the large health and moving right, you will see a 
pit to drop down to the far right. Before you drop, make sure you hug 
the left side as you fall, since there is a spike pit directly below.
Fight off the helmet, and drop down the next hole, this time hugging
the right side to avoid the next patch of spikes. 

<> Move along fighting off some enemies and climbing the ladders. Con-
tinue right to the next room with four pink portals this time around.
Here's the solution:

1: Jump into the firts portal (A).
2: Arrive in the second portal (B).
3: Hop into the third portal (C) to arrive in the last portal (D).
4: Here you will just have to exit the last portal to the left to
land on the platform below.

<> Here be faced with the green eye enemies that multiply into three
once you shoot them. Avoid them if possible,  and climb the ladders 
above. Beware of the yellow eyes here (which multiply into four), and
if you want you can use R. Coil here to reach the free life. Climb the
ladder to the top left.

<> Dodge the enemies with sheilds (shoot them from behind), as well as
the eye creatures. Take the ladders above to proceed to the next area.
Be extra careful of the helicopter bots with claws, they can throw you
in the wall of spikes. Shoot the helmets, and climb the ladder at the

<> It's best to avoid the bots here, then use the ladders to get to 
the next room (don't miss the small bolt in the corner). Do not even
bother with grabbing the health or weapon energy unless you really 
need it, simply because you will be picked up and thrown in some 
spikes with out any hope. Move right into the area with all the por-
tals above a large hole. Take a sec to use the portals to get the 
large bolt (which are worth twenty), then use this as guidance below.

1: Go to A to get into B.

3: Take F to arrive at H.
4: Hop into D to take you to G.
5: Use G to reach the platform.

<> Enter the doors to face Galaxy Man.

BOSS! GALAXY MAN                        
Weakness: Concrete Shot

He will teleport around the room and shoot a purple beam that slow 
downs your overall movement . Whether you have the Concrete Shot or 
not, this fight can be easily be won with the Mega Buster. Shoot at 
him when he is on the ground, just be aware you need to jump when he 
charges at you in the middle of the fight. Make sure to keep moving,
because he may teleport right on you. 



<> Jump down the passage and fight off all the bad bots here. Drop 
down the next hole at the end, and fight off the three spiders here. 
Continue down and fight some more. As you move right you will see a 
large platform held by a chain. Jump on it, and run back and forth to
to swing it left and right. Use this technique to get across all of 
them, and keep a safe approach to the last one since with the spike 
wall. Enter the door. 


Watch for the rocks from ceiling that come down (move left and right 
to dodge them), then wait for him to drop down to hit the ground. You
will have to be in mid-air when he falls, or he will stun you, leaving
you helpless. Shoot him as much as possible, then jump over him as he
moves towards and back up to the ceiling. Repeat this process.


<> Make your way through the door and drop down the hole. Fight some 
daimond shaped bots, continue down the next hole. Battle some more, 
and take extra care when crossing the gaps here, bots will pop out of
the holes here and either hit or shoot you, threatening you to fall 
to your death. It's best to shoot them then go for the jump. Swing
on the platform to navigate across, then fall down the hole at the end
of the hall.

<> The trickiest part of the level, this may take several tries to 
succeed. The goal here is to swing the platform either left or right
while avoiding the spikes on the sides. When there is enough room,
you have to jump down below in the center.    

<> When you reach the area below, shoot all your enemies that infest 
in here. The giant helmet that bounces off a spring guards the boss
door. Keep shooting him at a distance as fast as you can. Enter Jewel
Man's chamber.

BOSS! Jewel Man                           
Weakness: Black Hole Bomb

Jewel Man will have a ring of diamonds circling around him, and event-
ually he will fire them at you. Using the B. Bomb here makes this 
fight nothing but cake. Just "double tap" the fire button to have your
shot form into purple beam, and he will walk right into it. You can 
also use the weapon as a somewhat "sheild", forming it around you and 
damaging him as he walks into you. You will still take some damage, 
but his health won't have a chance once you hit him enough.



<> This is one of the toughest levels, but once you learn your way 
around it, you won't have too much trouble. Shoot the bots that come
out of the pipes, then jump over the gap to the ledge (look out for 
the spikes below). Watch your step for the circle bots that swing alo-
ng the ledges, they will knock you off. 

<> Once you made it passed the spikes with good timing, take the lad-
der up (the only way to grab the large bolt is if you have Hornet Cha-
ser). Make your way up the next ladder getting passed more of the 
circle bots, then take out the helmets and gun cannon. 

<> Next you will be faced with a number of blocks that dissappear and
reappear above a pit of spikes. This is all about timing, and to reach
the next block in the right place at the right time. Look here below
to help you get through this in order.

1: Jump on B, then to C.
2: From C, jump to D, and then to the ledge. Be careful of the helmet
at the end, it's best to jump right in front of him.

<> The next room consists of the same blocks, just a little harder 
this time around.

1: Jump on block A when it forms, then quickly jump to B, C, and D.
2: Sit on D, and let yourself fall as it dissapears right onto E.
3: From here, jump on F, H, I, K, and then to the ledge.

<> You have three more block patterns left, so here's the next one.

1: Hop onto A, then B.
2: Sit on B for a couple seconds, then land on the appearing C with 
the right timing. 
3: Jump on D and E, then on platform to grab the large bolt. 
4: Here you can make it across once blocks f and G appear, which leads
to a 1up below.

<> Drop down into the next room, and watch out for the "shadow" mega-
mans in the next areas. Once you descend to the next level, you will 
be in a dark room, faced with yet another tough block path way.

1: Jump on A, then to B.
2: Stay on B, then jump to C with good timing.
3: Quickly jump straight up on D, then to the platform. 
4: Here it's pretty simple, jump to E, F, G, H, I, and then on the 
5: The hardest part, once you make it to L, let yourself fall as it 
dissapears, landing on M.
6: N and O will appear, use them as a bridge and stay on O.
7: When the time is right, jump off O onto P, then straight up once
again to Q. 
8: Use R and S to reach the platform with the E-Tank and small bolts,
just be careful of the shadow enemies here.

<> Take out some more of your shadows and snag some health and weapon
energy. Reach the pipe structure, here you can use R. Coil to collect
the large bolt. Shoot your way through the pipe enemies here and the
shadows to reach a ladder to climb in the top right corner. Here you
will be faced with your final block puzzle.


1: Hop on A, then to B.
2: Use C, D, and E to reach the ladder above (grab the easy 1up as 

<> Watch for the circle bots that run along the ground, then fight off
two giant helmets to reach Plug Man.

BOSS! Plug Man                               
Weakness: Jewel Satellite

Plug Man will shoot electric balls that run along the floor and ceil-
ing. To dodge them, you will have to jump over them. If you have the
J. Satellite, use it and fight him up close, he will walk right into
them. It's the best and most accurate way to use it. Keep moving from
one end to the room to the other, since he is constantly following 



<> Climb the ladder nearby. Shoot the bot riding on the baloon, then 
use another ladder to reach the area above. Here you will have to 
shoot the helmets here before they shoot you to pass. Use the rotating
platform to jump to the ladder (you have to face "up").

<> This next area is by far the hardest part of the game. If you have 
acquire the R. Jet by now, it will be easy to get across the obst-
acles here. If not, you will have to use the rotating platforms to 
get to the other side, including getting past the spikes and all. It
took several tries for me, but the main thing is to keep in mind that
you need to be as far to the right end of the platforms as possible to
make it to the next one. Practice makes perfect.

<> When you finally make it past that, drop down to the next room. 
Here you will need to super careful walking on the ice here, simply
because you can easily slip off. Wait until the sheild bot is to the 
right side of the screen, then jump hugging the right side to escape
the spikes. 

<> Proceed down the passage, then wait for the sheild bot on the bot-
tom to go to the right, and then drop again. Shoot the bots here and 
cross the ice with caution to get by the spikes. Fight the classic 
red bots with the gun and sheild (the only way to hit him is when he
shoots), then go up the ladder.

<> Grab the large bolt above with the R. Coil, clear the room, and 
head up the ladder. In the rainy area, the wind will be blowing agai-
nst you, making jumping around here a lot more difficult. What makes
matters worse is you have umbrellas after you as well. Try to avoid
them as much as possible, and jump on the blocks. There are two hidd-
en blocks in the small grey clouds below that you need to jump on in 
order to get any further.  

<> Once again, you will be faced with the rotating platforms. Remember
to always try to jump from the right end of each platform. After your
through with that, drop in the hole. Find a 1up here (use R. Coil to
get it), then use the wind to your advantage now that it is going the
same direction as you are, making it much easier to jump across the 
blocks. There will be umbrellas here also trying to knock you off, 
keep an eye on one that comes through the large grey cloud above. You
can snatch a large bolt on the lower block if you want, and when your
ready, enter the boss chamber door.

BOSS! Tornado Man                            
Weakness: Plug Ball

Stand in between the whirlwinds to avoid, then unleash the Plug Ball
on him. When he moves up in the air, it's a little bit hard to hit him
from the ground, but you can use the Plug Balls to have them roll up 
onto the walls and hit him from the ceiling (this only works when he
is up on the very top of the screen, not in the middle). He'll drop
back down to the surface, giving you an easy opportunity to finish 
the fight.



<> Jump over the gaps and stay to the left of the platforms to avoid
getting burned from the bots with the torches. In the next patch of 
gaps look out for the enemies that shoot fire balls up at you. You 
will want to jump when they stop shooting. Jump for the ladder at the
end and go up.

<> Eliminate the pillar bots here and climb the next ladder. Notice 
the pouring lava that comes down around here, you will have to wait 
until it runs out, then run past it. After each section, drop down at 
the far right hole. Defeat the pillar bot for a large bolt, then 
continue down for a mini-boss.

Mid-Boss! Dragon

This dragon shoots large fire balls at you that multiple when on the 
ground. The key here is to jump and shoot him in the face, and sne-
aking past the large fire balls as best as you can. Use more offense
than defense since it doesn't take that much from the M. Buster. 


<> Do some battle with some small bots, then find a free life after 
shooting a pillar bot on the upper passage. Go back to the lower pas-
sage to move forward. At the end of the walk way, you will have to 
perform a tough jump, try your luck after shooting the robots across
blocking your path. 

<> There will be more lava dropping from above around here. Pick up 
your speed and run past them right after they stop running (the lava
comes down much faster this time around). Use the same technique in 
the room above, then ascend the ladder.

<> The last part of the stage, time your moves right in between the 
lava here. Take one step at a time and concentrate how they move in
patterns. After passing that, enter the doors to face the boss.

BOSS! Magma Man                                 
Weakness: Tornado Blow

Your best tactic for him is to try to stay behind him when possible to
counter his three fireballs he shoots. He jumps LEAST on the lower 
centered platform, which is the best spot to stand, giving you the 
chance to use the Tornado Blow. As long as you keep firing, this fight
will be over before you know it.


<> Start off and defeat the plants and the bots riding in the carts.
Find a ladder to climb up, then hop on a weird looking platform that's
rolled up. Shoot the end of it to unroll it to make a walk way to 
reach the ladder.

<> Use your R. Coil to collect the large bolt, then begin going furt-
her down, making your way passed the spikes and the flying scissors.
The room after here has a large bot to the right. Shoot it to have it
fire some cannon balls. Use them to break the blocks below, creating
a passage (don't forget to get another large bolt here).

<> Taking the left path here can lead to a free 1up (use R. Coil). 
Make it down further, and again using the same method as before with 
the cannon balls (watch the spikes). Once you make it down into the 
next room, you will fight a mid-boss.

Mid-Boss Flower

There are eight platforms formed around just like a clock here. Your
job is to jump to each one clockwise (and keep an eye for the large
flower branch in the center that can knock you off). When the flower 
appears on any random platform, do your best to get some shots in, and
watch the flower leaves he shoots at you. Repeat this process to fin-
ish the fight. 


<> When that is over, go down the left passage. You will be faced with
more of the rolled up platforms, use them to make it along the spikes
(but beware of the scissors here, shoot them first before you cross 
to each one). Take one of the lower platforms for a small bolt here.
Make your way down into the next section.

<> Fight off the plants and cart riders before dropping down. The next
set of plants fire different objects at you, so be careful. Grab the 
large health and weapon energy above, then continue right. Ascend the
ladder and pick up the small bolts. Shoot the enemies here and get a 
free life in the upper part of the screen. Enter the doors.

BOSS! Hornet Man                              
Weakness: Magma Bazooka

 This robot will fire three hornets that fly and attack you. Using
the M. Bazooka, you can destroy these hornets, leaving him defenseless
and a great chance for you take care of him for good. Remember, the 
M. Bazooka can fire at a diagonal angle, making it much easier to hit



<> A water stage. Watch for the mines in this level, they will chase
you and detonate themselves. Get passed them here and drop to to the 
next area.

<> There are two octopus laying ahead. To kill them, shoot their armor
first, then hit them in the head repeatedly. Dodge their ink shots 
that they fire. Take out the next octopus and find a large bolt behind
him. At the end, you will see a hole to jump down, do so by hugging 
the left wall to stay clear of the spikes below you.

<> By taking the life side you can acquire a 1up. Continue going down
carefully not running into the spikes here. Run through here and watch
the torpedos and mines that plague this area. Fight off the frog look-
ing thing on the wall, and go down the hole.

<> You have a choice to either drop down left or right. Choose the 
right passage, simply because it is much easier to navigate and you 
can snag a large health along the left side on the way down. From 
there, drop below in the center.

<> Move right all the way to the end (fighting the large enemies, 
torpedos, and mines). Eventually you will encounter large and small 
bubbles that form from the ground. Ride the large bubble to the right
up to the next screen. Watch the torpedos here (as well as the spikes
right above you). Use the small bubbles here in the mean time to get
to the left side of the screen, then onto the large bubble that app-
ears. Float to the next screen.

<> Your goal will be to hop back on the bubbles to the right when they
appear (be careful of the torpedos on the way up). OPTIONAL: Staying 
on the left side of the screen to the area above can win you a large 
bolt, but you will have to fall back down and work your way back up.

<> Watch out for the torpedo from the left, then ride the bubble to 
make it to the top. Enter the room here, shoot the bots on the wall,
then climb the ladder. Use the moving platforms here to reach the la-
dder into the next room above.

<> This gets a little more trickier now. Wait for the first two plat-
forms to appear to the right, and use them to get to the ledge over 
the spikes. Once you reach the ledge, quickly jump on the next plat-
form that forms right next to you, which brings you to the center of
the screen. Here jump on the last one to reach the ladder. If your
still have trouble, check out the solution below.




1: Jump on A, then B, then to ledge.
2: Use C and D to reach the ladder.

<> In the next room you will be faced with the same obstacle, but this
one is a lot more difficult.

1: Hop on A when it comes from the left, then quickly to B.
2: When on B (right over the center spikes, go to C.
3: From C, jump on D, then ride it to the left side of the screen.
4: Let E form from the wall, then use it to reach the ladder.

<> Return into the water, moving along past the mines and torpedos.
Fall down the hole, fight the bot on the wall, and enter the chamber.

BOSS! Splash Women
Weakness: Hornet Chaser

Splash Women is one of the easiest bosses in the game. She will
summon 3 sets of fish to attack you on her way up to the top of the 
screen. Using the H. Chaser, you can eliminate the fish, and the horn-
ets will attack her next. If you do not have it, you will have to hop
over the first set of fish. When she is in the air, she will shoot 
down some bolts from her weapon, dodge them by moving left and right
in between each one. This fight should be over rather quickly with the
right weapon, since you can attack her on ground or in mid air.


<> Look for the birds that drop the rocks at you. Either avoid them or
take them out, then start jumping across the holes here (you want to 
take your time crossing here since there are bots that come up from 
the holes). Climb the ladder once you reach the end.

<> Watch the floor bots along here, and ascend the next ladder. Take
the 1up, then move right for a mid-boss(s)

Mid-Boss(s) 3 Elephants

Elephant #1: 
This is pretty simple. Jump and stay on the ladder, and fire away. As
long as you stay on here, you won't get hit.

Elephant #2:
This time around you will need to jump and hit him since the ball is
block yor shots. When he releases the ball at you, run under it. Stay
at a far distance and fire away when he starts to use his trunk as a 

Elephant #3:
The best method here is to stand and stay on the middle platform, and
jump over the ball once he throws it at you. Fire away in mid-air to
take him down.


<> Take care of the spider, then descend down the ladder. Use the R.
Coil if you would like to get the large bolt, then proceed down the 
passage. Vanish the gun cannon, then end up at a bridge of blocks. 
Keep note that the center block (the one with the square designs) is
not solid and is fake. Jump over it, then go up both ladders.

<> Here you will see two non-solid blocks on the left and right side 
of the bridge (the left one is right above the spikes). Take care of
the enemies here, hop over the bridge, then go up the laddder.

<> To make your route much more easier, stay at the bottom and contin-
ue right avoiding the plants in all (you will miss some bolts on the
upper platform, however). Grab the large weapon energy if need, then 
be faced with some platforms with arrow symbols on them.

<> Pretty basic here, the arrows pointing up make the platform go up,
and the arrows pointing down go down. Use these to make it to the 
boss' chamber.

BOSS! Concrete Man
Weakness: Laser Trident

L. Trident is the key here. When he charges at you, jump over him. At
some point he will jump in the air and stomp the ground, just make 
sure your off the surface when it happens, or you will be a sitting
duck. Try your best to keep a good distance from him, and use the wea-
pon to vanquish him.



*** Once you complete all of the eight boss levels, you will watch a 
cinema. I advise you here and now to play back some stages and collect
as many bolts as possible. You will want to buy all the helpful items
at Roll's shop, including E-Tanks, 1ups, M-Tank, 1/2 item, etc. Trust 
me, it will make the final four stages much more easier. The Plug Man
stage is a good level to collect bolts and free lives, and you can 
play it through as many times as you want. Stock up on the items to 
the max, then begin Wily's Castle. Once you start here, there's no 
going back to the store. If you do happen to go back to the stage sel-
ect menu, you will start from square one.

<> Shoot your way forward and jump across the holes (watch the bots 
that come up, you will want to take them out first). Finish off the 
large enemy, then use the Tornado Blow to raise the platform and reach
the ladder. 

<> Use the same method here to reach the next ladder (make sure to 
pick up the weapon energy here and avoid the spikes). Use the T. Blow
once again to navigate through this area. If you jump to the upper 
part ahead, you can snag a free life. Climb the ladder at the end.

<> Fight the two large enemies here, then climb the ladder to deal 
with some plants. The next ladder leads to the same Dragon mid-boss
you fought on Magma Man's stage. Just remember to be more offensive
then defenssive here. 

<> Use the Hornet Chaser to take the 1up, then battle through the ene-
mies to find a ladder to the far right. This time, the lava will spurt
out sideways, leaving you with the only option of using R. Coil here
once it stops running to get ahold of the ladder.

<> This next part is may take some practice, but the way to pass all
of the lava here is to summon the R. Coil right when entering the room 
before they all form. You need to reach the ladder in the center above
as quickly as possible, so make sure you position Rush more to the 
right side of the platform below. (OPTIONAL: The left ladder leads to
a E-Tank, you will need the R. Jet and L. Trident to snatch it). 

<> Once you reach the center ladder, hang on for a sec and let the 
lava run for a second, then quickly jump to the ladder to the right
and make your way up. Take the next ladder up to a room with a large
platform you can swing. Swing your way into the right portal, come out
in the left and grab the ladder.

<> Use the R. Jet to safely cross the spikes and ascend that ladder. 
Blast the plants, fight the large bot, and enter the door.

BOSS! 4 Bots
Weakness: Mega Buster

These guys aren't too difficult at all. You will see four layers here,
and each bot will try to push the spike balls towards you. Move to 
each platform and fire the M. Buster to push the balls into the enemy.
As long as you keep moving up and down, and pushing each ball into 
each enemy, you should be fine. Fire as fast as possible!!



<> Take the weapon energy for whatever weapon, then climb the ladder.
You are going to want to use the L. Trident here to break the yellow
block, and use the R. Coil to reach the 1up to the left. Continue up.

<> You can use the R. Coil once again on the first block to easily 
get passed this part, then be faced with two passages. Ignore the 
spike route, and just fight off the green eyes here to the next scr-
een( use the L. Trident to destroy the yellow block).

<> Simply fly over the spikes with the R. Jet and ascend the ladder.
The bots will form "fake" blocks here, use the R. Coil to reach the 
top and eliminate the bots before climb the top ladder.

<> Battle the red bot with the sheild, then proceed to the right. More
fake blocks will be formed here, so pay attention to where they are.
If you want to take an easier way, just fly over with the R. Jet.

<> Equip the R. Jet once again to get by the spikes and into the room
below. Here you will fight the flower again on the eight platforms. 
Just remember to keep moving clockwise and shoot when he spawns when-
ever possible. Descend down the passage, grab some health and ammo,
then go in the water.

<> Take out the octopus, and feel free to either jump or fly over here
with the R. Jet. The next area has two passages, the one on the bottom
leads to a free E-Tank(use R. Jet). Take the upper part and bypass the
mines to continue on. 

<> The mini maze here is infested with torpedos which will try to hit 
you from both sides of the screen. Use the L. Trident to make it thr-
ough here, and you can obtain a free life if you stay on the middle
path (it's gaurded by spikes). Keep in mind there are also spikes on
the ceiling as well. You will need to time your jumps right to make 
it pass this part, just beware of all the threats around you. Take 
the upper path to the large health here to make the last jump easy
(just drop down hugging the right wall and use the L. Trident to break

<> Once you climb the ladder, take out the torpedo, jump on the small 
platform over some more spikes, then head up. More fake blocks will 
be formed here, to make matters way easier, just use the R. Jet to
pass this spot. If you don't have any more R. Jet energy, carefully 
memorize where the original blocks are placed in order to make it.

<> Moving on, take out the saucers, then use the large ladder. Up top,
fight your way through and drop down the right side of the screen to
make into the gap in the wall below. From here on out survive and fi-
ght to make it to the boss room after climbing the ladder.

BOSS! Robot Ship

1st Form:
Weakness: Hornet Chaser

The H. Chaser will make this battle fairly easily, since the hornets
will take out the missiles here as well as the back part of the ship
as well.

2nd Form: 
Weakness: Tornado Blow/ Magma Bazooka

This time around, there will be two vents that spit out bots that run
out you. Watch the spikes above you. If you have the T. Blow, use it,
it will eliminate this form with ease. If your all out, the M. Bazooka
works well too, shoot each vent at an angle rapidly to get to the 
final form.

3rd Form:
Weakness:  Magma Bazooka/ Mega Buster

The and final form will shoot large set of beams up and down the screen.
Stay on the ground to avoid getting hit, and use any of the weapons 
listed here to take him down (you can only hit him when his mouth is 
open). It's not a hard fight at all.


<> If you want to make this level a quick run, make sure you have some
energy for the T. Blow (just a little). Fight off the two giant helm-
ets, then enter the next room to start floating. You need to use the 
mega buster to manuever left and right, just watch out for the eye-
balls above. Take the ladder up on the left side of the screen.

<> Shoot the diamond enemies here and pass the spikes, then grab some
small health and jump down the hole. Take the right path here to col-
lect some weapon energy, then continue down. Climb the far right lad-
der to obtain some more weapon energy (make sure you fill some for
T. Blow). Drop down carefully in the left path with the spikes. 

<> Beware of the sheild enemies here and make your way to the right. 
Eventually you will run into another room without gravity, shoot rap-
idly to the right side of the screen (watch for the helicopter bot 
with claws). Navigate around the spikes and eyes carefully to the top.
You can try to get the M-Tank only if you need it, then shoot all the
way to the ladder to the left of the screen while equipping the T. 
Blow right after the spikes. Fire it to get rid off the claw bot that
grabs you, then climb the ladder.

<> The only real 1up here is the far left one, the others are just he-
lmets in disguise. Run right and make it over the gaps (firing the ca-
nnons from a distance is a good idea). You'll be faced with a hard 
jump after the second cannon, use the R. Coil to make it to safety.

<> Up ahead shoot some more enemies, then carefully go by here monit-
oring the spikes above. Use the R. Jet if you don't think you can 
make the first block. The helmet and sheild enemy stand before you
on the blocks. I had an easier time using the M. Bazooka here to get
rid of them. Once you make it across, IGNORE THE "1up" and keep movi-
ng to make it on the ledge. Drop down to face the boss.

Weakness: Black Hole Bomb
One of the blobs will sit in front of you on the surface, while the 
other will be in the air above you. You will have to dodge the blobs'
pieces that it sheds off the best you can (some can be avoided by 
running under, while most of the other ones you have to jump. Conc-
entrate on the blob with the red eye, when it breaks off about three 
to four pieces, place a B. Bomb on the eye. This will guarantee a hit
when the eye goes to move into the other blob. Now it will sit in the
other blob, and repeat it's actions. Use the same method to take it 
down after five or six hits.


<> How do you get past the laser barriers, you ask? You have to use 
the Concrete Shot, placing the cement blocks on the barriers to dis-
able them for a second. Battle your way through here using this tec-
hnique (and pick up weapon energy along the way). When you reach the
bottom, you will find a much taller laser barrier to the right. You
will need to plant multiple cement blocks here and stack them on top
of one another just high enough to reach the ledge above.

<> Use the H. Chaser next to snag the free life, then drop down into
the capsule room. Here you will have to fight all the eight bosses 
once again (check the Boss Chart section if needed). Here is the 
diagram of the capsules and which boss lies in each one.

<> After you defeat all the eight bosses, a ninth capsule will appear
in the center, leading to the final fight against Dr. Wily.

**Here you will want to equip your Guard Power up item here, this will
make the final battle much more forgiving.

FINAL BOSS!!!! Dr. Wily

1st Form: 
Weakness: Mega Buster

Wily's robot will shoot eggs out of his mouth that bounce towards you.
Use your Mega Buster and shoot the eggs to bounce them back. If your
lucky enough, they will crack and expode in his mouth. The only real
strategy to do here is to jump up and down and fire away while stay-
ing to the left side of the screen. 

2nd Form: 
Weakness: Concrete Shot/ Magma Bazooka

This time he will fly around and shoot a ring of fire then you will 
need to jump over. Using C. Shot does a lot of damage (hopefully 
you have some left). I also used the M. Bazooka using rapid fire shots
to take him out. When he floats in the air, he will move left or right
, giving you the chance to to run underneath him. The same as before,
just aim for his head now. 

3rd Form:
Weakness: Magma Bazooka, Plug Ball, Tornado Blow, Hornet Chaser

It's highly unlikely you have all these weapons to the max (unless 
you saved your M-Tank), but this is how I took down the final boss. 
This time around he will fly around and dissapear around the room, 
then use electric bolts and orbs to attack you. Although the Plug Ball
does work well here, it's hard to hit him with it since he is usually
way above you. The T. Blow, Magma Bazooka, and Hornet Chaser work well
to you benefit when he is off the ground. They may not conserve a lot
of damage towards him, but it still works. Hopefully you saved some E-
Tanks for this battle, because his attacks are very difficult to man-
uver. Keep firing, and if all else fails, use R. Coil and your Mega
Buster to hit him in the air!!


Shopping here makes your adventure much easier in the long run. Here
you can stack up on lives, energy tanks, and much more. Use the bolts
you collect to purchase these nifty items. Keep note some of these
items you can only use once (Roll will notify you when this applies).

haven't even completed all of them yet. You will have to play the game

 Here you can try to complete each of the eight stages as fast as you 
can, being timed for each level. This will go on the leaderboards here
to check out other gamertags and friends. This is all skill here folks

* Some tips:
- Avoid enemies as best as you can. Keep moving to the next screen.

- Using your other weapons here can some times make the route much
easier (such as the T. Blow or J. Satellite).

- I may say this over and over again, but LEARN the levels. Playing
and memorizing the levels here can get you through faster and easier.

In the Magma Man stage, when fighting the dragon miniboss, you can use
 the black hole bomb to severely damage the dragon. I killed it in 
just two shots with that, so it can save some time and life.

Now yes you do need R. Coil to get to the ladder on the left 
but as you hang off that ladder you can shoot Concrete Shot and it 
will freeze the lava beams as they go across and you can walk on 


 Does whatever a Mega Man Can....

 Looking for some classic side scroller action? Need a break from FPS?
Or Maybe you just love Mega Man. What you have here is a brand new 
game with the same old action of the previous games. You fight eight 
bosses on eight stages, finding all there weaknesses, then making it 
to win against Dr. Wily. 

 Although I felt the game was actually short (including the levels), 
it still brings that old feel of the older games back. As noted in the
guide, the best way to win this game is to learn the levels, especia-
lly if your looking to put your name on the leaderboards.

 With downloadable features on the way, challenges and achievments to 
complete, and the new time attack mode, you can bet this is worth the 
ticket. Check here in the future for the new features.
