				About Me [ABME]
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

This is my very first guide that I have written completely or even partly. I
am hoping that it will be complete and to everyones expectations. If I am
missing anything or you think I could do something better just contact me and
tell me exactly what it is. Just include your name, or username, if you are
giving me information so I can be sure to credit you properly.

Thank you all in advance for helping to make this guide with any and all of
your input.

EDIT: I wanted to apologize to everyone who has read my guide for the
lateness of the Campaign guides. I have just been overwhelmed at work lately
and then havent had any way to get on a 360 for the past few months; so I
will be doing my best to finish it today. (??/??/09) I am so happy to have
been able to help anyone so far, if anyone still has any questions continue
to e-mail me them and I will continue to answer to the best I can.

				Left 4 Dead: Survivors [L4DS]
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

All survivors possess the same abilities and speed. However, your in-game
personality will vary depending on which character you choose to play as.

Francis: Cocky, loud and pretty sure he is indestructible. Francis acts like
the zombie apocalypse is the worlds biggest bar fight. When the virus hit,
everybody else stockpiled food and looked for a place to hide. Francis found a
gun and had some fun. No cops, no laws, no order-if it wasnt for all the
zombies, he could almost get used to a life like this.

Louis: Louis had been working up the courage to quit his job as Junior Systems
Analyst at his companys IT department when a virus showed up and downsized
the world. Now Louis has a new set of goals (live long enough to succeed) and
a new set of tools (guns, sharp objects) to help him achieve them. With any
luck, hell figure out how the new management operates before they get a
chance to murder him.

Bill: It took two eventful tours in Vietnam, a handful of medals, a knee full
of shrapnel and an honorable discharge before the unthinkable happened. Bill
ran out of wars. But now an army of infected undead has declared war on
humanity. After decades of aimless drifting and dead-end jobs. Bills finally
gotten back the only thing he ever wanted. An enemy to fight.

Zoey: After spending her first semester holed up in a dorm room watching old
horror movies, Zoey was given a choice. Stop fooling around and get her grades
up, or drop out. Now that the planets overrun with murderous zombies, and all
of her professors are dead. Zoey at least has the cold comfort that shes been
studying up on the right subject after all.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
				Left 4 Dead: Infected [L4DI]
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Non-Playable Infected:

The Horde Meet the zombie horde: eerily fast, sensitive to loud noises and
movement, and able to attack in ravenous waves. Luckily, youll be given
helpful warnings throughout the game to avoid horde attacks.

Car Alarms: When shot at or jumped on, some cars emit a high-pitched wail that
will enrage any infected within earshot. Youll be given warnings which cars
to steer clear of.

Boomer Bile: If there is one thing an Infected cant resist, its fresh Boomer
puke. If a Boomer vomits or explodes bile on you, it will attract the horde.

Crescendo Events: At certain key areas in the game, you and your fellow
Survivors will reach an impassable area that can only be breached by doing
something attention-getting that will summon a horde of Infected.

The Witch Witches only want to be left alone so they can enjoy a good cry.
They hate flashlights and loud noises, but what they really hare more then
anything is being shot at. If you hear the Witchs tell tale sobs, turn off
your flashlights and try to sneak around her. If she starts to get angry,
her growl will let you know shes close to attacking.

Playable Infected:

The Boomer RT: Primary Attack, Vomit (Short to Medium Range)
LT: Secondary Attack, Claw (Short Range)
The Hunter RT: Primary Attack, Pounce (Short to Long Range,
						    while crouching)
LT: Secondary Attack, Claw (Short Range)
The Smoker RT: Primary Attack, Tongue Snare (Medium to Long Range)
LT: Secondary Attack, Claw (Short Range)
The Tank -	RT: Primary Attack, Punch (Short Range)
LT: Secondary Attack, Throw (Short to Long Range)

				Left 4 Dead: Tips [L4DT]
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

1. NEVER...and I mean NEVER go anywhere alone. This is much more
important on the higher difficulties such as expert where any attack by any
of the special Infected is an instant down.

2. Whenever you given even a second to breathe in this game, RELOAD
your guns. You simply never know when you will be attacked next and it is
very important that you have a full clip ready. Most important is the
shotgun because of the reload time.

3. When playing Multiplayer, if someone is purposely shooting you or
any other of your teammates, I do not care how obvious this should be, but
kick them from the game. I have seen this time and time again where people
let them stay in the game and this is a huge mistake.

4. Should you find yourself fighting against the TANK, do not get too
close to his arms. Also, even when you are out of his reach, when fighting
him in an enclosed space, always be watching where his arms are at. Should
they hit against something, like for example a pillar or a car, it will come
flying at you and instantly knock you down.

5. On EXPERT, not quite sure of the lower settings, DO NOT disturb the
Witch at any cost. Should she actually reach you, it is an automatic death.
That is right, just bypasses going down and you die.

6. When playing either on any difficulty, always have the last person
through any door close it behind you. It may not seem that important,
however, it will provide both a few seconds more from those Infected that
are following you and also an early warning against any that are immediately
right behind you.

7. Melee when you are reloading. Yes, in this game you really can do that.
You are not helpless like you would be in most games. Just bash as you reload
your weapons (preferably in a corner) and then shoot the first chance you can.

8. When you shine your light against certain walls and it seems like there is
a shadow and other times there is not one, the wall is disconnected and can
be broken through by the Horde or a TANK. So be careful and ready to go on
the offensive it you see that.

9. When you are incapacitated crouch to improve your accuracy. It does not
change your position obviously, but it will show the icon as if you were and
does help your accuracy a little.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Left 4 Dead: Expert Difficulty Tips [L4DE]
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I decided to create this section for tips that specifically go toward the
EXPERT difficulty of Left 4 Dead. As we all know this one is far harder to
play than even the ADVANCED difficulty and I thought to myself that it would
be wise to have a section geared toward the tips on how to get through this
setting.

1. Safe Houses when trying to get there: If you are near the end of a
specific Chapter while your team is being swarmed by the Infected and you are
able to run make a mad dash there. Your main goal should be to get into the
Safe House so you and your team will not need to restart the level. However,
if you cannot run and someone else can have them run while you lay down
covering fire to help them get there.

2. Witch: This is just a restatement from the previous section of tips. On
Expert Difficulty DO NOT disturb her, unless you are more than certain that
you can kill her before she takes you and throws parts of your body all over
the room while she paints it with your blood. You will be killed, not
incapacitated if you fail.

3. Health Kits: I would highly recommend saving these for just the Black and
White screens. Remember they reset your death count so you can be downed
another few times before actually dying, which is priceless on this
difficulty. Use pills to heal yourself otherwise, should you have them.

4. Molotovs: Always have at least one person carry one of these at all times.
They are lifesavers when it comes to fighting off a TANK as it will continue
to burn the big bad beastie even if you are just running around trying to
avoid him.

5. Less than half-life: If you have less than half of your total health,
meaning less than 50 HP, it would be much wiser to die inside of the Safe
House than to complete the level and need healing the next round. You would
be using up a wonderful Health Pack at the beginning of a round that I more
than guarantee you, you would need later in it.

6. Close Caption: This can prove to be a huge life-saver throughout each of
the campaigns. It is basically a secondary measure to help alert you to
various sounds which may end up being covered up or muffled by other sounds.
At least with this on you really should not be able to miss any of the sounds
like those made by the Oncoming Horde, TANK, Witch and other Special
Infected. (Boomer, Hunter and Smoker)

7. Walls, walls, walls: These will become very important as you will be able
to tell as you play. Especially the corners during Horde swarms. Whenever
possible you will want to keep your back toward the wall, for it will at
least allow you to not worry about being cut-down from behind and will then
allow you to keep your attention to everything from yours sides and what it
directly in front of you. So remember, walls are your friends, unless of
course a TANK is beating you against one of them, then they are just down-
right evil.

8. Doors: It is more important on this difficulty to make sure that you close
each and every door that can. Not only do they slow down all the Infected
that will possibly come up from behind you and provide an early warning by
the sounds of them tearing the doors apart, but you can actually shoot
through them too. If you aim the muzzle of the guns through the hole that
they make then you will not destroy the door further keeping that shield
there that much longer between you and them.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
			   Left 4 Dead: Weapons/Items [L4DW]
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Weapons:
   1. Pistol - Your standard issue sidearm. It has unlimited ammo, and is
effective at mid range with a low density of enemies. You can dual-wield
pistols if you find another. Aim for the head for best results. Quickly tap
when duel-wielding the pistols to mow down the common Infected. Best if behind
the others that are using the other weapons.

   2. Pump Action Shotgun - It is very effective at close range, what a shocker
right. The spread of the shells means it has the capability to take out several
infected at once. Watch out for the reload, though, if you run out of shells in
the clip you will only auto reload one shell if you try to fire. When reloading
best to crouch or move behind other members so they will still have a clear
shot at the Infected.

   3. Submachine gun - A fully automatic gun, the submachine gun is good for
mowing down crowds at short to mid range. It's also good for taking out Smokers
from a distance. Personally not my favorite gun as it tends to run out of
ammunition faster than other weapons.

   4. Auto Shotgun - The auto shotgun is a very powerful gun, good for taking
out Tanks and crowds of infected. It has two more rounds in the clip than the
pump shotgun, and reloads faster to boot. One main point of advice when using
this weapon, especially in multiplayer, do not shoot it while behind members
of your team. It has the same spread shot as the Pump Action Shotgun but
tends to do just a bit more damage which can prove problematic at key moments.

   5. Hunting Rifle - It's a sniper rifle, need there be much more said? Use
it at long range to pop off heads of enemies for best results. You can zoom
in to help you aim better. Make sure to have someone else watching your back
when you are using it though, or be prepared for a possible world of hurt.

   6. Assault Rifle - Use it like you would the Submachine gun. It packs a lot
more punch and is more accurate at long distances. Again, be careful of when
you use it, or I should say the amount that you use it. For you may very well
just run out of ammo right before you actually need it. *coughtankcough*

   7. Molotov Cocktail - Toss it like a grenade, it's effective at clearing
out a small cluster of enemies. Watch out for flaming zombies running at you,
and be very mindful as to where you throw it. The fire may very well spread
to you more then you would have like.

   8. Pipe Bomb - Amazing crowd control device. Throw it into a large crowd
of enemies and watch them cluster around the soft beeping noise that it emits.
Stand back away from it otherwise you will be hurt, if not simply outright
killed.

Items:
   1. Health Pack - You can use this on yourself or a teammate. It will heal
80 points of health and will also stop a survivor from bleeding out. You can
only carry one at a time. If you have already been revived with the help of a
teammate it will reset the number of times that you can go down before dying.

   2. Pain Pills - Like the health pack, you can only carry one at a time.
You can only use it on yourself, although you can give them to a teammate if
you so choose. It will temporarily boost your health by 50 points.

				    Walkthrough [WALK]
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Okay, so how to make a walkthrough for a game that uses an AI Director that
changes the zombies, effects and more to create a different experience every
time you play? I will do my best by playing through each Campaign and Chapter
two to three times and figure out what is most common, giving you what I find
to be the most common or the same through each one.

==============================================================================
Campaign No Mercy [MERC]

	Chapter 1: The Apartments [APMT]
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

At the Start of this Level you start on the top of the apartments. Make sure
to grab your FIRST AID KIT, and either the SUBMACHINE GUN or the PUMP-ACTION
SHOTGUN. For weapons it does not really matter which you choose, more really
just personal preference.

When EVERYONE is ready, open the door and make your way down the stairs. There
are normally one or a few zombies right at the bottom, shoot them and take them
out.

Now when you go into the Kitchen/Living Room area, there tend to be quite a
few zombies. Just simply lay waste to them all and continue to push forward.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: If you try and just sit back, first off that will not get you done with
the level, and secondly the game tends to just throw a wave of the Horde at
you as punishment for being a chicken.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now, as you leave the Living Room, there is a door directly to the left of
you. Head down those stairs. Now simply make your way through the Hallway,
Kitchen, Living Room of Apartment A. Then very quickly through what possibly
used to be a Bedroom and Living Room of this apartment till you get to a large
hole in the Kitchen floor.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: More often then not, there tends to be a bottle of PAIN PILLS in the
pantry on the other side of the hole. To get across simply jump over the hole
and if you make it check to see if it did spawn in there for you this time.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It is now time for you to jump down the hole. As I have played through this
level a few times I have noticed one common thread through it. There tends to
be a wave of lovely Infected who want to eat you that flood the room and flood
it quickly. So, just make sure you are prepared to defend yourself from them
at this point.

After you survived the Horde, make your way through the newly made hole in
the wall and head to the door to the left. Now that you are in the alleyway,
just pick of the Infected that you see scuttling around before they see you,
making your way further down.

Make your way for the burning barrel ahead of you and take a Left at the
intersection shortly ahead.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: A few times there is a second pistol on the trunk of the White Car. If
you happen to see it, make sure to grab it for these simple two reasons. First,
it makes you look cool by shooting Infected with two guns at the same time.
Secondly, if you happened to get incapacitated it makes you not completely
useless as your team tries and revives you.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When you make it to the actual Street itself, just be a little cautious as
the game will send a horde your way at some point along it. I have found that
jumping onto a car tends to make it easier on you, as the Infected take a
little longer getting to you compared to if you were standing on the Street.

Follow the Street as it curves to the Right and then to the Left.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: You will see an Orange Car, that has a little Alarm Light, just flashing
almost begging to be shot at or jumped on. However, no matter how tempting
that is to do, DO NOT do that, unless your entire Team agrees to fight off
the Horde that will be coming at you. Now, if you happen to shoot at or Jump
on. Having two Molotov Cocktails would be great, just back into the corner,
behind the white van and throw them at the sides of it. This will make
fighting what remains of the Horde, so much easier.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After, you pass the Orange Car, just duck into the Subway Stations Entry Way
and head down the stairs. Go to through the only opening to the right and
shoot any Infected that might be between you and the Safe House Door in that
room. As soon as everyone is inside CLOSE the DOOR to the finish the Chapter.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: If you decide not to close the door, again the game punishes you by
sending a wave of the Horde at you and yes, it will probably be easy seeing
as they have to bottle their way through the door. However, it could prove to
be too much if for some reason the rest of the survivors died and you are
the only one that remains.

	Chapter 2: The Subway [SBWY]
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

At the beginning before you open up the door, make sure to heal if you are in
the RED or the YELLOW. Also, if you want to switch weapons you can, or simply
just get more ammunition. Again, when everyone is ready head through the door
and shoot all the Infected that you see.

Jump down the hole, turn around and kill the ones that are scuttling all
around behind you before moving on. You would not want some sneaky bastard
coming up from behind you now would you?

At this point you could split into two teams, one take the High Road and the
other take the Low Road and you will both meet up together again soon enough.
The Higher route, tends to have some kind of EXPLOSIVE right before the small
drop into the vent below. So, just make sure you grab that to use for later,
again killing all the minor Infected around. Drop down into the vent, head out
onto the stairs and go down to the left to the top of the escalators.

The Low Road team, will just have to head down the stairs, and move a little
to the Right to be at the top of the escalators. The only reason that I would
even suggest splitting up at this small point, would be to clear the area of
all Infected before moving on.

Go down the escalators and quickly check inside the Ticket Booths. Most often
there is either a PISTOL, if you dont already have duel, and occasionally a
PIPE BOMB or MOLOTOV COCKTAIL inside on the floor. Also, if you are really
lucky the Second Tier of weapons will be on the table in front of one of the
Booths.

After you dealt with any Infected that decided to try and rush you, head to
the left of the escalators and up either side of the Stairs. Just make sure
that you stick together.

Once at the top of the stairs/escalator make a 180 degree turn, and make your
way to the tunnel ahead past the Subway Cars.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: You will encounter a Witch and a Tank at some point in this level,
starting normally around the time that you walk through the first tunnel all
the way till close to the end of the Chapter. So, just be ready and remember
what to do when you encounter one or the other.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As you go through the tunnel you should see some burning wreckage to the
right, just continue to push forward, further down the tunnel clearing any
and all Infected that you encounter. To the right of the Subway Cars near
the fire, there should be a Table, and on that table is normally at least
Ammunition. The reason is because there tends to be either a Tank or a
mini-Horde soon enough afterwards. So take the quick second it takes and
restock up your ammo.

There is a little corner against the wall across from the table, check
that spot for either a PIPE BOMB or a MOLOTOV COCKTAIL and then continue
heading deeper into the tunnel. There is a fork in the road so take the
right path to the Subway Cars ahead and enter them.

After exiting from the two Subway Cars, move to the table near the door
to the Left. There should be at least a single FIRST AID KIT and possibly
the Second Tier of weapons if you have not gotten them yet in the Chapter. The
room to the Right occasionally has a couple PIPE BOMBS, so make sure to check
it because they will come in handy soon enough and will make the few seconds
that it took to look all worth it. Now, go back to the other side of the
tracks and through the door. Move cautiously because right at the top of the
stairs is a perfect place for a BOOMER to spew its BILE all over you to
attract the Horde.

Go through the door way, also before I go any further if you have not fought
the TANK prior to this moment you will right here about 75% of the time. There
is only one other place that I have fought the TANK and I will make a note of
that when I get to it. When fighting the TANK, this area makes it really easy
though, just move back spraying it continuously with BULLETS, from either the
ASSAULT RIFLE or the AUTOMATIC SHOTGUN and it should go down with ease while
you take minimal damage.

Once you have dealt with all the Infected, or the Tank. Move to the door at
the other side of the room and head up the stairs. Once you go through the
doorway you will see quite a few MOLOTOV COCKTAILS, if you dont have any
explosives take one for it will make this next part easier.

At this point, the games makes a note to go open the door, but before you
do that, just clear the entire room of any Infected and make sure to stock up
on Weapons and Items before you do. Also, if playing with other people and
not just the AI, make sure to have someone take control of the Turret with
one watching their back.

Once you are ready, go flip the switch and get ready to defend yourselves for
the oncoming Horde. Once you have dealt with all of the Horde, make your way
through the door that just had to make all of that noise.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: If for some reason you have not fought the TANK by now you will at this
point. In the Stairs he will come stomping down, but it should be more then
easy enough to take care of that Brute here.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Head up the stairs and go through the doors ahead of you. Stock up on
ammunition and if you want, switch to one of the other weapons that are in
the Steel locker against the wall. Move through the door that has the EXIT
sign glowing above it and move to the left and left again.

Now, head down the stairwell heading to the Orange-ish wall in front then
take another left toward the Reception Area. Barge through the Buildings
Front doors and out onto the Street. Once you are out and on the street,
head to the Pawn Shop down the street and to the right.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: I am sorry, I forgot about this one time that I actually had to fight
the TANK right before the Safe House. Soif for some random reason you have
not fought the TANK by now, then this is the last chance that he will have
to pop up to try and kill your group of Survivors. Also, there is either a
Pink or Orange Car right in front of the Pawn Shop that if hit will alert
the Horde of your Location. If you are fighting the TANK, I would make sure
to avoid hitting this Car at all costs.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After you cleared the street of all Infected, just stroll on into the Pawn
Shop and move into the safe house that is just on the other side of the
counter. Close the door once everyone has entered the building and that is
the of the Chapter.

	Chapter 3: The Sewer [SWER]
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Once again, make sure to stock up on ammunition and HEALTH KITS. DO NOT
however, switch out your better weapons for either the PUMP-ACTION SHOTGUN or
the SUBMACHINE GUN. That would be a complete waste. Also again, when everyone
is healed, stocked, clocked and ready to rock open the door and head
immediately to the left.

At the end of the little jog, you should see a doorway to the right a little
that is the door that you want to head through. Move through it and head into
the Diner.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: If you happen to be unlucky like I happened to be on my last play
through of this Chapter, you will hear the all telling signs of the Witch and
her crying at this point. I say that you are unlucky because of the fact that
you will more then likely disturb her because of the amount of Infected that
will be coming at you once you leave the Diner. Not even all that many, but
there are just too many ways for you to disturb her crying session.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Exit the Diner and move towards the right. You will see a Gas Station. Please,
avoid being a jackass and shooting at the Station when your Teammates are near
it. Plus the simple fact that it will be a Horde your way because of the
lovely sound that it makes. If you have to, just make a beeline for the Lift
that is to the Left of the Gas Station. Also, try to make sure that all of the
Survivors are on it before activating it. Otherwise, the person/people that
were not on it beforehand might not be alive too much longer.

Once activated, the Lift will alert the Horde and send them to you from every
which way. From above, below and every other way that they can get to you
they will. So, once the lift stops, just start shooting your way across the
building toward the one ahead of you. Also note, to be careful of any Smokers
that are below you. If snagged by their tongue, you will more then surely die,
unless of course your Team actually are able to help you.

Now when you enter the other building just make sure to kill all the Infected
that you can before proceeding down through the hole in the floor to the
level beneath you. There you will be able to stock up on PILLS and ammo. Also,
sometimes the room to the left has a couple of PIPE BOMBS for your disposal.

After you stocked up head through the doorway next to the FIRST AID cabinet
and follow the hallway. There are two different paths that you can take at
this point. Either you can head down the stairs or move a little further down
the Hall. No matter what you choose you will end up in the Warehouse. I would
suggest that you head further down the Hallway so you have the advantage of
being able to see most of the Infected that are in the Warehouse before you
go barging in.

So, if you move down the stairs, they are to the right and all you have to do
is make a quick left and right to be inside of the Warehouse. If you chose to
go the other way, no matter what room you go through just break a window and
hop down. As another bonus, most of the rooms tend to have other items for
you to use as you kill you way to being Rescued.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: This tends to be the most common place for you to have to fight the TANK.
If you must you must right. Yes, but make sure to kill the beast before he
has a chance to throw the Forklift at you. If he does that is an automatic
down. In other words, you are pretty screwed, especially if you were grouped
together.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just make your way to the other side of the Warehouse and go through the
doorway. Make a sharp right and head directly to the hallway at the other end.
Take the Left, the only way that you can go, to the stairs at the far end.
Bounce down them like you do not have a care in the world, killing all the
Infected as you go. If there happens to be any that is.

Go through the doorway, guns blazing shooting everything that moves even a
little. Now, there are two different ways into the sewers from here. Directly
ahead of you the other is to the right through an itty bitty hall with a red
light.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: It does not matter which way that you decide to take, however, I will
be discussing what you have to do if you choose the one that was just ahead
of you, and will eventually add in what to do if you choose the other route.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Once you drop through the manhole, you will land some piping. If you had
recently popped the BOOMER, use that to shoot the Infected that you see down
below you. If you have not then I would suggest jumping down and quickly kill
them all, just in case the friendly neighborhood BOOMER decides to either
give you a shower or drop down next to you.

At the T intersection, move to the right and then at the end of that little
stint up the incline to the left. At the top of the little hill take another
left continuing to fight the Infected.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: At some point while down in the sewers you will be hit by the Horde at
least one time as long as they dont come at you from both sides it will be
more then easy to just mow them all down.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now, you should be seeing a doorway on the right side within a few moments
of moving down this tunnel. Enter that door and stock up on ammunition
before moving into the vent ahead of you with the red light.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: This has happened once before so it may very well happen to you now.
If you happen to stumble upon the Witch in this tunnel, especially if she is
just crying there at the intersection you are more likely to be screwed in a
way no one would ever want to be. So, just form two lines, with two of the
members crouching down in front and the other two standing behind them and
just shoot her till she drops dead.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just proceed straight and head to the right after you leave that small vent
like part in the wall of the sewer. Shoot your way up the incline until you
get to the RED LADDER that will be on the left side of the sewers. Head up
the ladder to the street above.

If you are the first one up, lay down suppressing fire until the rest of
your group can join you. Then head directly into the hospital, you will more
then likely have to shoot your way in, but then again isnt that what we like
to do?

Jump over the counter moving through the door to the safe house. Once
everyone is inside close the door to finish the Chapter.

	Chapter 4: The Hospital [HSTL]
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Can anyone guess what you should do first this time? Come on class, have you
not been paying any attention at all? Yes, Johnny? That is the right answer,
you will be stocking up on ammunition and health. Also class, remember to
give enough time for your entire group to collect their supplies, otherwise
you may not survive the oncoming Infected.

So, after you stock up go and open up the door. Head up the stairs and make
a quick right turn. Pass by the Exam rooms and the hallways with Mercy
Hospital painted on the wall. Just a little past that there should be a
doorway on the right hand side, go through the door and up the stairs.

Now head through the door at the top of the stairs and turn left. Immediately
after turning make another left through the doorway there. This will lead
you to what I would assume would be a reception hall. Move to the right
through the hall till you see more stairs and head up them.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: This is a favorite place for the game to through a mess of Infected at
you as well as occasionally having a witch either in the bathrooms or
sometimes up the stairs in that hallway there. More often then not if the
game gives you a witch here she will be either in the in bathrooms or near
the water on the floor.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Go through the little Cafeteria and push forward. You will see yet another
set of stairs to the right, so...yes that is right you will head through the
door and further up the bowels of the hospital.

Again, once you climb the flight of stairs you will make a right turn heading
to Nurse Station 3. Once there you should push through to the doors on the
opposite side of the room. Open them and kill all the Infected that you see.

Move down the hall until you get to the 4-way intersection. Beware of
oncoming traffic from either side and make a right turn. Move quickly, but
also make sure you are killing all the little Infected people along the way
to make the next part just a tad easier.

Now you will have to jump over a mini-barricade at the end of the hall. Who
is this meant to stop? I mean it looks like a child could easily get over it
am I right? Anyways, after you jump over it with ease take an immediate left
turn. You should be able to see the elevator now. Stock up on ammunition and
anything else that may be right around you. If you need to heal make sure
you do it before pushing the button.

The game will then give you a warm welcome to hospital by throwing a wave of
Horde at you for about a minute, minute and a half. Just hold them off and
once the elevator doors open move inside quickly. Yes, even if there are
still Infected coming. As everyone climbs aboard your new vertical lift, hit
the button to get it moving.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: Both in Campaign play and Multiplayer the Special Infected like to
hang on top of your shiny box. I have yet to determine if it is because you
are in it, or if it is just because it is so shiny.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention it would be a good thing to collect some
ammunition before entering the box. Also, take the time to heal and reload.
It is just wise to do so.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: If you have not seen the Witch or the TANK by now, the game will
probably be throwing them both at you very soon. So, do not just rushing
blindly through the last little stint before the safe room.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Exit the elevator and move forward, going through the doorway to the left.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: Beware of the sides of the uncompleted building. You can fall off
and die especially if a TANK just so happens to make you go flying. However,
if just the Horde or something else hits you off, you will more the likely
be holding onto the side for a while. So, hopefully a teammate will be able
to get to you before you fall to your death.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Pass through the other door that is like 8 feet ahead of you and make a right
turn. You will head through yet another doorway in about another 2-3 seconds.
Proceed through it and again make a right turn. Move between the forklift and
the pillar. Continue to move straight and near the end of the hallway you
will make a quick left and then right turn.

Now, do not go through the doorway move to the right and then make another
turn to the left. Go through the closed doorway, if you are the first one
through it, and then a right through the opening in the wall.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: A BOOMER tends to be around this area and may very well splash you in
its sweet bubble bath...I mean disgusting vomit. So either be ready to knock
it back and then shoot it, or just be prepared to fight the Horde that will
be coming after only you.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now, I had to do this next part in a hurry so if my directions are a bit off
I am sorry. I was simply running through all the Infected and the TANK that
was chasing me. Head through go through the doors, yes doors, there are many
and should be easily seen. Until you see an almost completed room. Follow
along the side of the room, DO NOT go in it, for it will just lead you to a
dead end. You will be making a right and then a left turn during this part.

After you get that far you will then have to make a Left, Left and if I
remember correctly a final Left turn. The wall right before the Safe House
will have a little spray paint on the wall that says, -will get this later
for you all-. Close the door while you wait for everyone else to catch up
this way you will not be killed by anything.

Once either everyone else is dead or in the room with you, close the door
again to finish the Chapter.

	Chapter 5: Rooftop Finale [RTFN]
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Finally, the Finale has arrived. Heal and then stock up on both ammunition
and HEALTH KITS. Again, make sure that everyone is stocked up completely. I
am sorry but I cannot stress that enough. Especially after playing so many
rounds of Versus and having this stupid noobs running out through the door
before everyone was ready. To add to their own stupidity they usually ran
out with collecting their HEALTH KIT, or one of the explosives on the table.

Head out the door and up the stairs shooting all the Infected as you do.
Once at the top of the stairs and through the door, simply shoot your way
down the hall. Near the end you should be able to see a door and a vent to
the left. The doors you will not be able to go through, so shoot the vent
and go through it.

Go around the side of the hole to the ladder. Climb it and turn a little to
the left and climb the second ladder. This one will take you to the rooftop
of the hospital. Before dropping down make sure to shoot all the Infected.
As this will make it easier to proceed. Also, if there is one person still
on the rooftop DO NOT drop down. For if they would be attacked at that point
there is no way to get back up to help them and you will be down a person.

Now, move as a single unit to the small building down the ramps with the
searchlights moving. Once inside quickly stock up and heal if you need to
before answering the radio.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: Seeing as this should be your first Finale, I want to warn you that
they all seem to have exactly 4 waves before you are able to be rescued. I
will go into detail with each one separately.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Upon answering the radio a second time that is when the real fun of this
level begins.

Wave 1 will consist of the Horde as well as the regular SMOKERS, HUNTERS and
BOOMERS. Have two people go to the rooftop one on the mounted chain gun and
one protecting them. Two people can stay on the ground floor and shoot any
that happen to get past the one that is on the chain gun. This should go
fairly easy it is really nothing that you have not gone up against before.

Re-stock your ammo and quickly heal before the second wave begins, I would
recommend healing if you are even at half life, should this be your first
time.

Wave 2 will consist basically anything that you had not killed from the
first wave as well as a few more Infected, including a wonderful, handsome
TANK. Just group together and shoot the hell out of the big guy and he will
drop in no time at all. If the TANK happens to knock anyone to the edge I
would definitely recommend helping them back to their feet before the end of
the TANKs life.

Once again simply re-stock your supplies and ready yourself for Wave 3.

Wave 3 will consist of the same exact thing as Wave 1. So I would suggest
either doing the same thing as you did in Wave 1, or group together on the
building that you are able to reach by crossing the pipes that connect to
the roof above the radio.

Once again, as Wave 4 begins you will hear the familiar music of the TANK
start up. Once you hear that make sure you find out where the big brute is
and just start emptying your clips into him. Once he drops head to the broken
roof above the ramps. That is where your rescue will be picking you up. No
matter what happens YOU need to get there. Even if means leaving everyone
else to die. As long you get there you will win.

As Wave 4 ends, the technical 5th Wave will begin. This is one that you do
not have to fight so I will not include it. However, it consists of
everything that Waves 1-3 had in them. A horde in mass, BOOMERS, HUNTERS,
SMOKERS and yes even a TANK. Just run up the ramp and hold that position
until the Helicopter gets there. Once it does hop into it and continue to
empty clips at all the Infected that are headed directly for everyone that
is alive.

Now you will see the credits roll should you live. Oh my god! It was a
movie? I thought this was a game...whatever, in the credits you will be
able to see all of your various scores and where you placed in them. Take
a break and stretch, for this was the easiest of the 4 Campaigns.

	Chapter 1: The Turnpike [TNPE]
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Okay, ladies and gentlemen, I bring you Campaign number 2. By now you should
know how it starts out, but if not let recap for you. For a different scene
of environment, it would appear that you and your fellow Survivors decided
to try and book it out of the city for reports of the Army holding out in
Riverdale.

As you start, the HEALTH KITS, AMMUNITION and PUMP-ACTION SHOTGUN/SUBMACHINE
GUN are pretty much directly in front of you. Select your choice of weapon
and make sure to grab your HEALTH KIT then make your way forward.

After running a short distance you will notice that the bridge is knocked
out, and one of the Survivors will make a note that you need to find a way
across. Go down either side of the bridge. That will take you downhill and
what possibly used to be a river. At the other side, no matter if you chose
to go down the left or the right, you will see a ladder, just climb up and
wait for the others to join you.

Now make your way to tunnel being sure to be careful of any BOOMERS, SMOKERS
and HUNTERS that may be around.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: The SMOKERS seem to really love hiding out in the forest during this
Campaign and will most likely get you should you not be careful enough.
However, on the lower difficulties this really should not be a problem,
unless of course you ran so far ahead of your teammates.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

About 5 seconds of running into the tunnel you should see a hole in the
wall. You will have to go in there because the main way is blocked. (Or
apparently so says the AI, when playing single player.)

Just make a quick right turn and then another once you reach the end of the
very short hallway. Once again you are back in the tunnel you will very
apparently have to go to the left, unless you do want to head backwards of
course. Jump on top of the cars that are blocking your way to proceed.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: I suggest jumping from car to car for as long as you can, should this
be one of the points where the game decides to throw the horde at you. It is
really easy to defend your spot when they all have to climb up to get at you.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Your next turn to make will be where you can see the fence cutting off your
path forward. The door you need to go through will be on the left wall.
Enter the open door and then make a right. Once you have worked your way
down all the stairs, pick a door and go through it.

Now work your way around the steel grate floor to get to the stairs that
lead you back above ground on the other side.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: For the majority of the time. The part below the steel grate floor
there tends to be either MOLOTOV COCKTAILS and or PIPE BOMBS. So just a
simple suggestion make the very quick trip and look to see if there are any,
that is if you do not already have one.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yes, you have finally gotten back to the fresh air and no longer have to
breathe that stuffy tunnel air. Now what do you do? Well, you could have a
picnic. It is a lovely location for a date with Zoey after all. However,
with all the dead roaming the area and still wanting to kill you I would
suggest that you move forward.

After you move toward the dead end, make a gentle left turn up the hill and
push forward through the remaining Infected that are blocking your path to
the safe house.

Now all the remains is opening the door and quickly closing it on everyone...
I mean closing it after everyone has made it to the safety of the shelter.

	Chapter 2: The Drains [DRNS]
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Quickly stock up, heal and take whatever supplies that you need before
moving toward the doorway.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: I just realized that I have never said this before in any of the
previous Chapters. Before you go and open the door. Selects your pistol(s)
and shoot all the Infected that you see. It will make it a little easier
instead of being ambushed when you barely did anything.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

At this point in the level there is a choice of two ways to proceed. Either
you can go straight from the door through that tunnel, or you can choose to
move along the right a bit and go through that tunnel. Both paths end of
taking you to the same place, however, you may find one a little easier then
the other.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: Oh jeez, so you decided to go toward the right. Well good, this is
what has been called the easier path by many gamers. The area that both
paths lead to; tend to be one of the main locations of where the game throws
a TANK toward you and this path does give you a little more room to maneuver
away from his swings. Especially if you happen to already be at what I call
the Circle Room.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Head straight until you can make a left. Once you reach the end of this
path, you will be dropping down in the Circle Room. (Obviously named
because it is in fact a room that is in the shape of a circle.) Once you
clear the immediate area of any and all Infected that you see. Move toward
the left, of where you dropped down until you come across a ladder. Slide or
climb down it, but please do not trying jumping down from where you are.
Once you reach the bottom you will no matter what be given more ammunition,
if not given the Second Tier of Weapons and even more rarely other items.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: Oh my god you chose to go straight. You certainly are a brave soul
arent you? There are some gamers that call this path the harder of the
two and actually for good reason. The area that both paths lead to; tend to
be one of the main locations of where the game throws a TANK toward you and
this path does not really give you that much room to maneuver away from his
swings.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-insert Path #1 here-

Head straight into the next tunnel after you re-stocked up on everything
that you could. You will then be having to make a right turn. Before dropping
down into the next area, it should be obvious that it would be for the best
to kill everything that is already down there waiting to be disturbed.

After, you are done having your fun killing all of those that used to be
living breathing people. Climb down the ladder and head to the right. Keep
moving until you find yet another ladder to climb to head up to the floor
right above you.

Now the moment you get the to the higher level, if not a little before, you
will be prompted to active the switch to lower the floodgates to make a
pathway for you. Before doing so though, I would suggest stocking up on the
PIPE BOMBS on the crate in the corner. Once you hit that switch two waves
the horde will be coming at you.

These are easily dispatched, so once you have done that move across your
newly created bridge to the other side of the room. Once there, make the
left turn to head up the stairs, or enter the room and get the PAIN PILLS
that should be in the First Aid Cabinet.

Make a right turn at either the first or the second branches. The both take
you to the same room. One is just a little more roundabout way of getting
there than the other.

Now when you get to the room, you can go up the ladder in the first room, or
go to the room right behind it and climb up the hanging metal that is
attached to the upper floor.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: The second floor is closer to the outside, where you have to go and is
a better option to go instead of the first room. I have seen this happen on
more then one occasion. The Survivors start to climb up the ladder when the
TANK comes and literally falls on top of them, killing them, not knocking
them down, but actually killing them.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When you climb through the window and get outside, if you have not already
fought the TANK be prepared to, and this is one of the more dangerous areas
to fight him, because of all the cars in the area that he can throw at you.
If you really have to, just run, making a beeline to the building across
from you and straight into the Safe House within it. If you can take your
time though, kill everything you see and just leisurely stroll into your
room for the night.

	Chapter 3: The Church [CRCH]
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Once again, heal and stock up on supplies. The last one was a walk in the
park compared to the ones ahead. When you have killed all the Infected that
you can see, open the door and start to make your way straight ahead of you.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: In this Chapter, beware of the SMOKERS hiding on top of the train cars.
As sometimes the AI are not quite quick enough to react to you being
strangled by a wet tongue from an enemy that has quite a smokers cough.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Once you get to where you can see the building ahead, make your way to the
left side, so you will be able to climb the stairs to your next destination.
After you little workout, head straight and onto the roofs of the train cars
at the end. A Horde may be prompted at this point to come and swarm around
you, but do not worry at all. It is so easy to kill them all without taking
any damage.

Now, drop down and head off to the right. Head straight, along the road
until you come across a safe house.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: I said Safe House because one, it is not THE Safe House, and two, I
have run into the TANK more than a few times right at this location. It does
however, have a few supplies inside which make fighting the TANK all that
much more worth it. *pfft*
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After you made a quick sweep of the house and gathered what you wanted, or I
should say, gathered what you actually could. Head out the back door and take
a left turn until you hit a road then you will have to take a right turn and
just follow it.

You should be seeing a Cemetery to the left after the Ambulance. Move in that
direction and put the Infected into their graves heading to the Church up the
slight incline.

In this Chapter, they decide to test just how much you really want in the
Safe House. So before you go to kindly ask the guy inside it to let you in,
make sure you stock up on anything that is nearby.

Once you are ready then you may go and ask him to open the door. He decides
to be a complete prick and not let you inside his little hidey-hole for the
night and rings the Churchs bell, alerting all Infected within Earshot that
dinner is served.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: If you place the 4 gasoline tanks that you find laying around in Key
locations, three to the front and one on the side, that will more then likely
take care of 65% of the Infected that decide to try and get the meal that
the bell promises.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

All you have to do is killed the Horde that comes to kill you and there is
nothing too special about it besides the pure number that come. Right at the
end our buddy gets killed by a random special Infected, so just shoot it
once you open the door or you may very well be joining him soon enough.

After you killed the unexpected guest, climb into your new hidey-hole and
close the gate, thus ending Chapter 3, Campaign 2.

	Chapter 4: The Town [TOWN]
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: Oh my god a note in the beginning it must be important. Well, kind of
is and kind of isnt really. I just wanted to let those new to this level
know, that before proceeding it is very easy to get a headshot on every last
Infected that you see on the streets below you. Also, it is the single best
way to avoid being slaughtered in the first few minutes as well. Just grab
the Hunting Rifle on the Table, zoom in and pop all the heads that you see.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now that you are hopefully done clearing the streets of the walking dead,
climb down either ladder to the sides of you, or just drop off the front.
Move to the right, it is the easier part of the street to defend against a
Horde if you really need to in a few moments.

Walk through the broken down brick fence and now that you are in the streets
start making your way to the Straight a little to the left. Your goal is the
alleyway behind the Gas Station.

Run through the alleyway till you get to this part of the street. Now make a
left turn and head down until you are on the other side of the bus that was
blocking your way from before. Mow down all the Infected to your right as you
run down the street, following it until you get to a Poppy Fields Floral
Shop. There you will see an open door. Head into it.

Head through the first door to the right and then the one to the left leading
you back out into the town. Follow the road past the Semi-Truck with its
lights on.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: Nothing important this time, more just curiosity. Lets assume this is
still two weeks after the infection started. How would the batteries in any
car still have enough power to leave the lights on. I mean, I do know they
last for a long time. But, assuming they had regular usage before the
Infection, plus two straight weeks of being left on. How would they still
have power?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Right after the Semi, make another right turn into the parking lot of some
building establishment. Move toward the White Van in the back left corner.
Hop on top of the van and then on top the buildings first story roof.

Go through the patios doorway and straight into the next room, killing all
the Infected that are within. Now, you will have to head out through the
windows and jump onto the ramp like walkway below. Stay on the walkway and
head to the right.

After killing all the mindless Infected below you, drop down and gather up
some ammunition or swap weapons if you want to. You will be needing to
activate the Forklift to make another walkway for you. Can you guess what
will be coming up?

Thats right! Time for another Horde that you are forced to fight against.
The item the forklift was lowering makes a thump and ends up making a good
enough rumble for a cars alarm to go off. We have all the luck dont we?

Just defend yourselves, again it should be really easy especially if you or
another Survivor is on the Turret. Just make sure that someone watches their
back so they do not get attacked while making a blood mist with all the
Infected. The Horde will attack in two mini-waves, so just be prepared for
that.

Once all lay dead in their own blood, walk onto your new pathway and head to
the end of it. Drop down at the end, go to the right around the bus that is
in your way and then make a left turn into another alleyway.

Alright, you are in the final stretch. Now, just make a left turn heading
down that path. A little ways down there you should see a set of stairs on
your left. Head up along them and into the building to your left there.

Break through one of the windows and cross over the little wooden planks to
the building on the other side of the alley. Now, climb out these next
windows and head over to yet another building.

You will notice that you cannot enter this one. Did I happen to lead you to
a dead end? No, just go to your left and drop down, you will now be on the
other side of the fence and now all you have to do is head into the Safe
House at the end of the alley.

Now kids, be sure to play nice and you better be in your sleeping bags no
later then 9 oclock tonight. You have an early morning tomorrow.

	Chapter 5: Boathouse Finale [BHFN]
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Final time everyone I promise you...at least for this Campaign. Re-stock your
supplies and ammunition, you are finally one the last Chapter to being
rescued. Once again, shoot any of the Infected that you can possibly see
through the little bars of your cell. When all are down, move out. Head
toward the door that you see right in front of you and then through the one
directly in front of you on the opposite side of the room. Open the door and
head out onto the street.

You should easily be able to see the house with the searchlight on the roof.
That is where you want to get to. Quickly and thoroughly kill all the
Infected in front of the house before going inside. The TANK can be seen at
any point between now and the final house that have you go into for this
Chapter.

Once you get inside, look for anything that you may be missing from your
supplies and then head carefully out the back.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: Not only will you be having to deal with the TANK at any point, but
also the Witch, if she happened to spawn in part of the path that you must go
through to get to the end.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now that you are in someones backyard, head out of their gate and into the
open field. Yes, looks very much like a great place for something to ambush
you at doesnt it?

Deal with anything that the game decides to send your way and head to the
cars off to the left side of the field. Pass between them and into Riverside
Park. Yay, another hike through the woods!

Follow the pathway until you see like a place where a family used to be able
to sit down and eat, while getting out of the sunlight. When you get there
just turn to the left and head to the house that you see there. You should
also be hearing a radio broadcast for anyone to pick up if they hear it. DO
NOT answer it yet...well, if you did seriously do not summon the rescue yet.

Quickly gather up MOLOTOV COCKTAILS and PIPE BOMBS that you find scattered
around the place before someone summons the rescue. Once they do that you
will have 4 waves to deal with before you are able to board the boat that
will be coming.

Wave One: The first wave should be able to easily be taken down from the
rooftop of the house. Wait about 8-15 seconds after you hear the scream of
the Horde and then throw a PIPE BOMB toward the picnic shade area you had to
pass to get to the house and after that one explodes taking out any Infected
that gathered around it, like a moth to the flame, toss another one in about
another 5 seconds a little to the right of the front of the house.

Wave Two: Consists basically of any Infected that remain from Wave One and a
new and healthy TANK. With the combined efforts of the Survivors and with
having plenty of room to move about, it really should not pose that big of a
problem.

Wave Three: Same thing as Wave One, except this time I am assuming that you
either used all the PIPE BOMBS or have only about one left. So, take the
MOLOTOV COCKTAILS and toss one, after about 7-9 seconds right in front of
the main doorway and one to the right of the house. Make the second one a
little closer to the woods. This will take care of most of the Infected. You
will still have a some if not maybe half to deal with so go back into the
house, the top floor and back up into the corner away from all the openings
in the building. Very easy to defend yourself in and also will allow you you
jump out of the room for Wave Four.

Wave Four: Last real wave to go, all you have to do is take out yet another
TANK. It is easier then it sounds as long as you do not get snagged by a
frickin SMOKER. If you do, well you better hope your teammates can get to
you.

After you have lived through all four waves, make your way to the dock before
the technical fifth wave starts. Once you are there, if you have a PIPE BOMB
or a MOLOTOV COCKTAIL toss it once you see enough of the Infected. Toss the
PIPE BOMB as far away from you as possible, or toss the MOLOTOV COCKTAIL at
the entrance to the dock.

Board the boat when it gets there and help the others get on as well by
shooting anything that is keeping them from getting rescued.

Well done, you have now completed Campaign number 2, what do you want? A
cookie? A pat on the back? No, none of those will do. Join me in the 3rd
Campaign where we get to go to an Airport!

	Chapter 1: The Greenhouse [GRHS]
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Alright ladies and gentlemen, the time has come for us to get through the 3rd
Campaign and live to tell the tale. As always I will be your guide through
this treacherous landscape and this time we will begin in a Greenhouse.

First when you go to stock up on your intial supplies you will notice that
they are giving you your choice of either a MOLOTOV COCKTAIL or a PIPE BOMB.
I suggest that you grab a PIPE BOMB and then head over to the edge that was
right in front of you when you started. You should notice a decent amount of
Infected just stumbling around down there, so let is fly and watch for the
cloud of blood.

Grab another one, if you are playing single player and toss that one as well
to finish what you started and then grab your choice of what is left. Now you
can choose to walk down the stairs, which is slightly safer or you can jump
down the ledge with guns blazing at any Infected that still possibly remain.

Head through that little section of a building and out onto the roof. Oh my
god! Yes you are now on the rooftop, almost directly ahead of you, you will
hopefully see a walkway to the other building across the alleyway. Cross it
and shoot anything that runs up to you.

Head off to the left and through one of the windows, one will lead to a
bedroom and the other to a hallway. It does not really matter which one you
choose seeing as both will take you the same way no matter what.

A little ways down the hall and you will end up in the kitchen, if you want
grab some food and get a quick bite in...oh wait, we cannot stop here
otherwise the Horde will somehow know that and come attack us. So, let us be
on our way and go into the living room.

Now, this is where you can see another roof and will have to head out onto
it.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: This is a very common place for the Horde to come and ambush you so
just be prepared by having all of your guns reloaded.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After you have dealt with any and all Infected that come at you head up the
yellow ladder to the right from the Living Room windows.

Once you get up to the top of the this other building you may be wondering
where you have to go seeing as there is no direct path. However, there in
fact is, just head straight and drop off the side of the building. This is
truly the way to go I am not sending you all falling to your deaths. What
kind of sick person would I be if I did that now?

Oh my bad...you did die. Well um..I will send notes to all of your families
telling of the heroics you all had before dying. Takes a few minutes of
silence-

Anyways, just drop down and then again to yet another building and go
through the broken windows inside of it. Just move through the room and down
the hallway and stairs. Once at the bottom you will want to make a right turn
through the doorway there.

Once you are in the destroyed kitchen head out through the window and onto
the semi-truck. Before you do so however, if you see enough Infected down
there and happen to still have a PIPE BOMB toss it down for them to gather
around trying to attack.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: No matter what you do, be very careful of hitting the Orange Car. It
has an alarm and will sound if disturbed in anyway shape or form. So, also
be very careful of throwing a PIPE BOMB to close to it. If you noticed that
you did just run into the Harbor View Hotel across the street and into the
Safe Room to the back of the Lobby.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Close the door and you are done with the 1st Chapter. Congratulations I would
hope to be able to say that you all lived through this one.

	Chapter 2: The Crane [CRNE]
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Yay, fresh supplies are always a welcome sight to sore eyes are they not? So
grab anything that you can and open the door to the new level.

Make your way to the left. There are always a little more then a few Infected
at this point so crouch down and move slowly, taking some great cheap shots
from far away as you can before they try to swarm over you and your comrades.

Head through either little door and then up the small little hill leading up
against the fence. You can simply walk over the barbed wire, so do not worry
about getting hurt because of it. Once you are on the otherside you can
either climb the boxes or jump on the garbage can, and then the box next to
that to get onto the moving truck beneath the fire escape ladder attached to
the building to your left.

Just move up the set of stairs until you get to a broken bathroom window. You
will want to move on through that and into the living room there. At this
point you may very well be lucky enough to have the second tier weapons just
laying there on the bed for you. Grab your preference and head out into the
hallway.

Simply head on down the hall to the left, shooting and reloading as you go.
There will be a staircase to your right at the far end just head up them and
then around the slight corner. Go through the doorway to your right and stock
up on any supplies that this room has to offer you.

Once you head out through the windows make sure to locate the gasoline tanks
that you will find somewhere around the crane before activating it. Place one
on each of the sides of the fence. Make sure it is on the other side of the
fence and not in the location where you and the other Survivors will have to
make a little stand.

After the waves of the Horde come and fail to kill you, move to the dumpster
that you had to lower and climb up the ladder gaining access to the roof of
yet another building. Cross the alleyway with the help of a couple of planks.

Move straight and then to the right a little, heading up the ramp of the roof
and crossing another couple of planks.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: Who had the foresight to form all of these walkways? And placing all
the weapons everywhere that you find?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After heading through either side of the destroyed windows, this will give
you entryway into the Merrill Law Offices. Just head straight until you are
able to make a left turn to cross over some more planks leading to another
part of the offices(I believe).

There will be a left turn coming up in like a second or two, just make your
way through the double doors and move down all of the stairs till you reach
the floor below you.

When you reach Office Floor #1 make your way along the sides of the cubicles
until you reach the stairwell door at the back.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: Both Office Floor #1 and #2 are very common places for the TANK and the
Witch to be located, so just make sure to be ready for them if you have not
already come across them yet.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Move in Military fashion down the second set of stairs until you exit into
Office Floor #2. Once again move along the sides until you reach the door at
the opposite end.

NOTE: This is one of the levels that there seem to be two Witches on. Yes, I
said two witches, so just take the extra precaution that you may need.

After you head down the third set of stairs you will now be in the lobby with
a great view of a door leading to the streets once again. Doesnt it feel
great to be on the ground again?

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: Oh my god, there is another Orange Car with the flashing Alarm light...
why are almost all the cars that have Alarms Orange? I mean wouldnt people
have put alarms on other colors of cars too? So, anyways make sure to avoid
having a stray bullet nick it and alert all the nearby Infected of your
presence.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You should be able to notice that the building you want to head to is to your
left, so start making your way there carefully to avoid the Orange Car and
any possible Witches this area has given you. The Safe Room is located in the
Self Storage building. Lol, Self Storage.

After you had dealt with the possible Horde that even an AI will probably
have alerted just close the door and end the level, or if you really want
let them deal with them all by closing the door on them and see if they make
it out alive.

Who would want be to that person though that does that? So go and help them
if they alerted the Horde and get everyone into the room nice and safely.
Close the door finally ending this level.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Chapter 3: The Construction Site [CNSR]
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Open the door and head on off to the left. Shoot all the Infected as you move
through. If you head to the right you will simply just have circled all the
way around and just got a few more kills.

At the end of the little stretch again make the left turn, seeing as it is
really the only way that you can actually go and head straight. Pass the
burning barrel and shortly after moving to the right you will have two ways
that you can proceed.

So at this point either pick to move up the ladder and take the higher road
with the slightly better vantage point, or move on off to the right and head
through the building that way. Both will take you to the same spot so there
is just which you prefer.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: I would go up the ladder as there tends to be a pistol and some sort of
explosives almost every time by the sleeping bag there. Speaking of which,
why would someone actually want to sleep at a construction site?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Follow the path and if you can see the gas cans by the dead end shoot them
from the building or if you happened to take the lower road move up the
stairs as that is the easiest spot to defend against the Horde that will be
coming your way very shortly.

Now go through the burnt section and head straight then to the left once you
can go no further.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: The TANK will now be coming to attack your group at any point from this
part on through the level, so make sure that you are ready for it and be
prepared the best that you can.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Cross the street and pass through the opening in the fence next to the
crashed Semi-Truck, in the High Voltage Area. Then take a very soft left and
head through the other opening you see in front of you. Head what could pass
through straight and once you get to the other side make a right fighting
your way through all the Infected that you see before you.

After a propane tank you should see a doorway on your right, take that and
head through that room to the next where you will find plenty of supplies,
including explosives, health and ammunition. Once you are done doing what you
need to do there, head through the other door and quickly make your way
through the next room. When you get to the final room in the building you
should be able to see a hole in the wall to your left and a door straight
ahead of you.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: This is the most common place for the TANK to appear, just wanted to
give you the heads up.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To make your way through to the parking structure you have to move along the
right side of the street. After you pass some stacks of luggage start making
your way to the left and the building that looms before you. The way through
the building is pretty straight forward, just make your way up the winding
building until you see a flight of stairs and move up to the crossway to the
safe room, once you get there the level is completed.

	Chapter 4: The Terminal [TRML]
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Good, we are finally almost of the Finale, all that remains now is making it
through The Terminal alive, do you think you can do it? Stock up on health
and ammunition then open the door.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: The TANK will actually be coming at you at any point from the beginning
and on, and should you be an unlucky few, there will be two.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just make your way through the office portion by heading straight and making
a left at the first intersection. Head down the hall and make the only turns
that you really can, a left, down a hall and then a final left. You should
now be at the top of the escalators. Head down and start up the van, which in
turn will alert the horde.

After you clean house of the all the Infected that swarm your position, go to
baggage claim and make your way into the depths of it. Head around the bend
to the left and then up the stairs moving straight ahead of you till you get
to the other side. Follow the stairs when they bend down and go through that
doorway which leads you back out onto the terminal.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: DO NOT go through the metal detectors, they will sound off as you are
obviously carrying metal and will alert the horde once again.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You are almost to the end of the level, all you have to do is cross the hall
and head up the dead escalators on the other side. Once there head to your
left and book it down the hall just shoot anything in front of you and close
the door once you, or everyone else is inside; Depending who is all still
alive.

	Chapter 5: Runway Finale [RWFN]
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

I bet some of you thought the last little portion of the walkthrough was
short, but this one will be even shorter. For the final time in Dead Air,
before you open the safe room door, heal up and grab any and all ammunition
that you can carry before heading out through the door.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: Just a side interest, if you want you can wait atop where you are and
watch a lovely plane crash as it hits the ground right in front of you. Now,
what do you think caused that plane to crash, terrorists?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It is a pretty easy shot to the rendezvous point from here, just turn a
little to your right, jump down and run straight, well, as straight as you
can go, obviously you will have to run around the objects that are in front
of you.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: If you are playing with a full team of Human players head down to the
Multiplayer section for a great strategy. With thanks to Mr Yarger.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you must heal, which I would hope that you wouldnt have to, do so before
activating the pump to fuel the plane and then stock up on supplies also. Now
all you have to do is once again survive a total of four waves of attacks.
Two waves of Horde and the two TANKS with a little extra mixed in with them.

The easiest place for you to do this on single player is just crotch down
next to the crate and shoot anything that comes from the left of it. There
normally is hardly anything that will attack you from the right on the lower
difficulties in this position so the Horde waves should be pretty easy.

Get up and shoot the crap out of the TANK when he comes to kill you, always
backing up and when he throws concrete at you, after he lets it fly quickly
move the opposite way you were heading and it will miss you.

Then just rinse and repeat until you kill the second Horde and TANK. Just
make you way behind the plane as the door will finally start to lower itself
and hop in. Finally you completed the movie and should be getting your pay
for it very soon that is if it is not a complete flop at the box office.

Once you clear out the Infected that are lingering about, there is a small
double door closet room to the north of the fuel tanker with the call-in
radio. We set three people in this small room (Keep in mind that I was
playing online with some of my friends) and set fuel containers and propane
tanks out front while one person called the radio and switched the fuel pump
on.

This person then made a mad dash and made it back to the double door closet
before any infected even came. We kept two people armed with the Assault
Rifles for the far away Infected and two people with Auto Shotties for any
Infected that came close. When the Infected were far away, the Shotgun people
used double pistols to assist the Assault Rifle people while the Infected
were farther away. Once the first wave is complete, the Pilot will say
something about "Being halfway there". Once this occurs the Tank is on its
way as many people know.

As soon as the Pilot begins to say this, have everyone rush back for ammo.
Soon you will hear the Tank music begin to play. Once this happens, quickly
locate the Tank and get on the opposite side of the rescue plane. This will
cause the Tank to glitch in a way. The Tank will wander back and forth on the
opposite side of the plane as if it can't make up its mind, and won't come to
the other side of the plane where you are. Once this occurs, have everyone
kneel down and start blasting at the Tank's knees and it will soon die.

As soon as the Tank is down, replenish ammo and make back to the double door
closet as quickly as possible and repeat the previous steps of wiping out the
infected and the second Tank. Once the second Tank is downed, stay near the
loading bay of the rescue plane and keep blasting any Infected that come your
way and you should be able to make with out without a scratch! And by the
way, it's easier for the two shotgun people to get in front and kneel down
while the assault stand up behind them.

And once in the closet keep the people close in case a Smoker grab you so a
teammate can melee the person to free them.

				Achievements [AVMT]
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Left 4 Dead has a total of 50 achievements at this time, 7 for Infected (when
playing Versus) and 43 for Survivors. Below is a list of all the
achievements as they appear when you first get the game, and what must be
done to get them.

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Helping Hand *20 points*
Revive 50 incapacitated Survivors.
	- Simply help up any of your fallen teammates (does not need to be
same one) a total of fifty times throughout your game career.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Field Medic *20 points*
Heal 25 Survivors with a first aid kit.
	- Woot woot a very easy one. All you have to do to get this one is as
simple as healing anyone and everyone, other than you, that you can.
They do not need to really be all that injured. As long as they are
missing at least a single HP then you can heal them and have that be
one of the twenty-five times that you need to heal.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Pharm-assist *20 points*
Give pain pills to 10 Survivors.
	- Now, this one is different from the last two. When you give your
pills away to one of your other teammates, it cannot be the same
person in the same level. By this I mean, you can only give the pills
away ONCE per Chapter. However, you can replay the same Scenario over
again and repeat the process until you happen to unlock this
	Achievement.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My Bodyguard *15 points*
Protect any Survivor from an attacking Infected 50 times.
	- Firstly, when this says any survivor it does not mean the same
one over and over. So, with that in mind, if any of your teammates
are being attacked by the Special Infected, just go and save them
before they are no longer alive to be saved. Rinse and repeat 49 more
times and you have this achievement in your collection.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dead Stop *10 points*
Punch a Hunter as he is pouncing.
	- A very easy Achievement if your timing is right on. When a Hunter
is leaping at you to take you down and start to rip into your organs
just melee him while he is. Should you hit him and not be tackled
this one will unlock, if you miss, hopefully one of your teammates
will help you out before you do die.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Cr0wnd *30 points*
Kill a Witch with a single headshot.
	- This is most easily done with the shotgun point blank at the back
of her skull near her hairline. However, I have been told that it can
also actually be done with the pistol although I have yet to have
been able to confirm this. No matter what you try to do, you have to
wait a few moments as she starts to rise up out of her crying
position and starts her threatening vocal expression. There will be a
moment or two before she will actually attack you when you do this
and that will be the time for you to go on the offensive. Quickly
fire and start to back up incase you happen to not kill her with that
	one shot.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Untouchables *30 points*
No Survivors take damage after contacting the rescue vehicle.
	- The easiest place to get this one is by playing Death Tolls finale
level. You can do this one over and over again and I suggest playing
it solo with AI because it does not matter if they get injured, only
the human players cannot be harmed and there is a place which you can
pretty much hide out from everything if you want to go that route but
I will mention that in the glitch section because that is what it is
in my mind. Just keep trying this level until you get it.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Drag and Drop *20 points*
Rescue a Survivor from a Smoker's tongue before he takes damage.
	- This one is so incredibly hard! end sarcasm- Once someone other
than yourself is snagged by the Smoker quickly run up to them
(Survivor) as they are being dragged along the ground and melee them
to free them from the Smokers hold.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Blind Luck *20 points*
You or another Survivor take no damage after being vomited on by a Boomer.
	- Now this one depends on who ends up getting vomited on. So, whoever
does they should run their asses off into a closet and shut the door
while the others protect them from the oncoming Horde. If there is no
closet nearby then crouch down in a corner and start meleeing at the
air in preparation of the Horde while the others stand around the
giant puke stain and kill the Infected as they rush toward that
/delicious/ puke. Once the Infected are all dead the achievement
	should unlock.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Akimbo Assassin *30 points*
Survive an entire campaign using only pistols.
	- Do this in combination with one of the Campaign Achievements. If you
really need to then do this on Easy, but to make sure that you do get
it, DO NOT pick up any other weapons. If you are playing single
player the computers will hopefully be able to either kill the TANKS
or at least take them down enough for you to finish them up with your
	pistols.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hero Closet *10 points*
Rescue a Survivor trapped in a closet.
	- Basically for this one what you have to do is have someone die.
Now, that does not mean go and kill your partners, unless they are
AI. That means, when one of your teammates does happen to die all you
have to do is wait enough time or proceed through the current level
and when you see that orange glow emanating from a closed closet. You
just have to open the door and viola! You got yourself an achievement.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hunter Punter *10 points*
Shove a Hunter off of a pinned and helpless Survivor.
	- one is very simple. When one of your teammates is pinned down by a
Hunter, run up to them and melee the Hunter off of them.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tongue Twister *20 points*
Free yourself from a Smoker who has grabbed you with his tongue.
	- Should your get yourself tongue-tied by a Smoker and you see him,
quickly fire at him until he explodes into his cloud of smoke. :0
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

No Smoking Section *15 points*
Kill 10 Smokers as they are pulling helpless Survivors.
	- Maybe your friends love to be caught by a Smoker, if so then this
achievement is for you. You can do this one, one of two ways. Either
run up to your teammate and melee them when they are caught by the
Smokers tongue, or shoot the Smoker until he poofs to respawn once
again. Either way you choose, you have to do this a total of ten
times to unlock this achievement, again a very easy one to unlock.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

101 Cremations *20 points*
Set 101 Infected on fire.
	- For this one all you have to do is use anything and everything to
light the Infected up into little moving torches. So, that means,
Molotovs and Gas Canisters. If you use them at the right time, ex.
when you are getting swarmed! Then this achievement will be gotten
quickly and even on your first play through.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Do Not Disturb *20 points*
Sneak past all Witches in a campaign without disturbing one.
	- Now this one is actually a lot harder than people think. I say this
for this reason only, the witches sometimes will spawn in a location
that you actually have to head through with no way around them. Even
if you can somehow get around them what are the odds that everyone
else will without disturbing her. To do this though, whenever you
hear the tell tale sign of her crying you can actually keep your
flashlight on, and I actually recommend doing so, while you look for
her. This way you will not accidently run into her, so move slowly
while looking. Just get through each level in a Campaign without
disturbing her and once you complete it you will unlock this
	Achievement.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Man vs Tank *30 points*
Single-handedly kill a Tank.
	- Only one way to do this one and that my friends is by playing the
Campaign online. For as you will probably have noticed when playing
single player the AI will always shoot the TANK, so play with a group
of friends or other people who are looking to get achievements also
to just stand back while you pump the TANK full of hot lead. Now,
make sure you keep moving and if the TANK happens to pick up
something, hide behind something else before he has a chance to throw
it at you. Other then dodging his attacks it is really very easy.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tankbusters *20 points*
Kill a Tank without it dealing any damage to a Survivor.
	- It actually helps to light the TANK on fire with a Molotov in this
case. Then you can either just run around (if you are playing with
other Human players) or have everyone just concentrate their fire
power on the poor flaming guy. Just make sure to keep out of his
reach and to dodge any chunks of concrete that he may throw at you.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Safety First *30 points*
Play an entire campaign with no Survivors taking friendly fire damage.
	- To do this one the easiest way, I would actually recommend playing
a Solo-campaign. Doing so will guarantee that the other Survivors (AI
in this case) will not do any form of friendly fire, so that just
means that you have to worry about yourself. So, select any campaign
and make sure to do it on easy. This way you will be able to go
through using just the Pistols, which require you to pull the
trigger(s) to be able to shoot, while only shooting a single bullet
with really good accuracy. Finally, do not use any Molotovs or Pipe
Bombs, as these can possibly hit the others and ruin your chance at
getting this Achievement and making you restart from the beginning.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

No-one Left Behind *20 points*
Beat a campaign with all 4 Survivors.
	- Recommended that you play this on the Easy Difficulty as you need
all Survivors to in fact survive. They can die through the various
levels but on the Finale everyone must make it out alive in order to
get this Achievement. Luckily this very easy to accomplish; It should
not take you more than one try.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Unbreakable *30 points*
Finish a campaign without ever being healed.
	- The best way to do this is, is by setting the game difficulty to
easy and playing whichever campaign you feel confident with. I would
suggest though No Mercy due to the massive amount of Pills that you
can find throughout it. Yes, you can take Pills, weird I know.
Apparently, the only healing you cannot receive are permanent health
	bonuses, ex. Health Kits.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Witch Hunter *20 points*
Kill a Witch without any Survivor taking damage from her.
	- You can easily do this the same time that you get the CrOwned
Achievement. However, if you do not want to risk being quickly taken
down by the Evil White Witch you can light her on fire and have
everyone fire at the Witch as she starts chasing you around for
disturbing her crying session. Once she drops dead, as long as she
did not hit you, you will become a Witch Hunter!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Red Mist *20 points*
Kill 1000 Infected with a mounted machine gun.
	- Another easy yet time consuming Achievement. To get this one
however, you need to kill a grand total of 1000 Infected with only
using the Mounted Machine Gun that you can find from time to time
throughout the various Campaigns. Normally you will find these at
Crescendo Events and the Finales. (Although not all of them. :])
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Pyrotechnician *20 points*
Blow up 20 Infected in a single explosion.
	- Now this is one that I would declare as being a very easy one. All
you need is something I call the Pipe Bomb and a group of Infected.
(When you are being rushed by a Horde or two would be a great
moment.) The second you see a large group of Infected, toss the Pipe
Bomb towards them to see them gather around the flashing light and
then the lovely color you will be painting the walls and floor with.
You will simply unlock this Achievement by playing through any of the
Campaigns, although one I would really recommend is Dead Air because
of the beginning of the Greenhouse chapter.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Zombie Genocidest *20 points*
Kill 53,595 Infected.
	- This one is fairly easy to understand and to get, it is just time
consuming to all end and degree. Simply play the game over and over...
and over again until you have killed a grand total of 53,595 Infected.
I mean really, it should not take all that long for you to achieve
	this... @.@
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dead Giveaway *10 points*
Heal a fellow Survivor when your own health is below 10.
	- Just wait until your health is at 10 or below. Also, you can easily
do this after waiting a bit after a fellow teammate has revived you
from the brink of death. Instead of using the Health Kit that you
have in your Inventory on yourself use it on anyone else that is
missing at least a single Health Point and you will get this one all
	unlocked.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Stand Tall *20 points*
Survive a campaign without being incapacitated.
	- Just play your favorite Campaign on Easy, this can be on either on
Solo play or with some friends. All you have to do is make it through
the entire Campaign without being downed once. Watch out for TANKs,
Hunters and Witches. Other than those few things, you really should
not be downed, unless you are trying to run through it all.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Zombicidal Maniac *30 points*
Survive any campaign on Expert.
	- For this one I would suggest No Mercy, as it is one of the easier
ones to actually beat with a full, Human Controlled, team. For each
level it would not matter if everyone died, however, for the finale,
whoever wants the achievement actually needs to make it on the
Helicopter as a group of my friends and I found out last night. (For
an easy way to get this achievement, please go look at the Glitch
[GTCH] section's "The Jesus Room" for more information.)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What Are You Trying to Prove? *35 points*
Survive all campaigns on Expert.
	- Unlike the Zombicidal Maniac Achievement, to get this one you
just need to beat each Campaign in a single setting (that was not the
difference) You DO NOT need to actually make it onto the rescue
vehicle (this is the difference), just play through the entire thing
as long as one of the other people makes it; that really is all that
matters to the game. This can be done on Single-Player, although it
makes it a lot more difficult to do so as you need to then make it to
the Rescue Vehicle each and every time.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Nothing Special *30 points*
Survive a campaign with no Survivors taking damage from Special Infected.
	- This one can be quite a pain. First a few key items I should
mention to ease a bit of your worry. Boomer; their vomit and the
Horde they summon apparently do not count as damage in this way, only
if they actually attack you with their chubby hands. Smoker; being
lassoed by its tongue does not count either, not until you are either
being hung or clawed by them. So, with those in mind, all you really
have to worry about in getting this one to unlock are TANKS, Hunters
and Witches. Again, I would recommend playing on Easy for this
Achievement as everything takes less damage to actually kill. Just be
cautious the entire time until everyone is rescued at the end and you
	should be fine.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Burn the Witch *10 points*
Light a Witch with a Molotov.
	- As with the Towering Inferno Achievement, when you encounter a
Witch (as long as you are not trying to get the Do Not Disturb
Achievement) throw it in her resting place and watch her then run
towards you all covered with that pretty glow. Too bad you have to
either run away or quickly put her down with heavy gunfire. Because
this would be a perfect time to roast some marshmallows.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Towering Inferno *10 points*
Light a Tank with a Molotov.
	- If you have a Molotov when you encounter a TANK, just pull it out
of your secret stash and make sure to get him with it. You do not
even need to kill the TANK this way just light him up to get the
Achievement unlocked. I would then however, recommend firing your
guns in his general direction or you may very well still be killed by
	him.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Spinal Tap *10 points*
Kill an Infected with a single blow from behind.
	- To get this one, implement your skills as an uber ninja assassin to
sneak up behind any random Infected. Then when you are ready to
strike with your amazing agility, melee them in the back with any gun
to see them drop down dead at your feet. (If you did it right.)

Go ninja, go ninja, go! >:o
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Stomach Upset *20 points*
All Survivors complete a campaign without being vomited on.
	- I would highly recommend selecting a Campaign that you are
extremely familiar in and then obviously turning it on the Easy
difficulty. You can either do this now with three friends or by
yourself, either way you will be able to unlock it as long as you do
two things. Firstly, move as fast as you possibly can. Secondly, move
cautiously and be ready to melee then shoot once you hear the
gurgling sound of the Boomer. Remember, all you have to do is make
sure none of the Survivors get covered in that massive amount of
vomit throughout the entire Campaign. That is why I recommend moving
quickly until you hear that familiar sound. The quicker you move the
less Boomers you will have to deal with. Check rooftops and any side
rooms (or just shut the doors). This one will probably take quite a
few tries for you to get.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Brain Salad *15 points*
Make 100 headshot kills.
	- This can be done with any of the guns really. Just fire away, even
blindly yes, you will be able to tell when you get a headshot by the
plethora of blood that comes from the where the Infecteds head used
to be. Rinse, repeat another ninety-nine times and another
	achievement done and accounted for.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jump Shot *20 points*
Headshot a Hunter while he's leaping.
	- Easiest way to get this Achievement is by using the Shotgun, either
one of them, as we all know shotguns spread their shot so it will
make it a bit easier to get this instead of trying with any of the
other weapons. Do you have Lady Luck on your side?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mercy Killer *15 points*
Survive the No Mercy campaign.
	- Beat the No Mercy Campaign and live to tell about it.
(Reference to the No Mercy [MERC] section of this guide if you need
	help)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Back 2 Help *20 points*
Leave a safe room to save an incapped teammate and bring them back safely.
	- This one can be tricky. Firstly, you have to save one of your
fellow Survivors from the onslaught of the Infected. Secondly, you
both have to make it back to the Safe Room. Be very wary if you plan
to leave the safety of the Room to head out. Sometimes the Infected
players will try to lure you out, so if you are the sole Survivor I
would simply recommend staying indoors and waiting till they bleed
out. However, if you want this Achievement just be careful and
cautious and you should hopefully be able to save your teammate and
still win the round. Good Luck!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Toll Collector *15 points*
Survive the Death Toll campaign.
	- Beat the Death Toll Campaign without drowning.
(Reference to the Death Toll [DETL] section of this guide if you need
	help)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dead Baron *15 points*
Survive the Dead Air campaign.
	- Beat the Dead Air Campaign remember, /do not/ crash the plane.
(Reference to the Dead Air [DDAR] section of this guide if you need
	help)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Grim Reaper *15 points*
Survive the Blood Harvest campaign.
	- Beat the Blood Harvest Campaign. Who likes scarecrows?
(Reference to the Blood Harvest [BDHV] section of this guide if you
	need help)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ground Cover *30 points*
Save another Survivor from a Special Infected while on the ground.
	- When you are already incapacitated and bleeding to death on the
ground, another teammate needs to be inside of your firing range while
being attacked by either a Hunter or a Smoker. (Either being clawed
or given a lovely tongue massage.) Quickly fire your pistol(s) at the
Infected that has them in their grasp before you die. A bonus of
doing this is if you do succeed in saving them, maybe they will
return the favor and bring you back to your feet.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Clean Kill *10 points*
Shove a Boomer and then kill him without him splashing on anyone.
	- To do this all you have to do is melee a Boomer to get him pushed
back. When the big guy is stumbling around, trying to regain his
balance, fire your gun at him until POP. (Make sure all other
teammates are clear of the blast radius when you do this.)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Big Drag *20 points*
Drag a Survivor 100 feet with your tongue.
	- Basically all you have to do for this one is first of all,
obviously be in a versus match and also be a Smoker. Secondly, you
need to be playing in a level that has a wide open area, with spots
that you can hopefully hide in so you have time to drag a Survivor
before the others shoot the smoke right out of you. Now, being the
Smoker to do this you have to be the furthest that you can be with
the reticule still being red when you are aiming at a Survivor. Lasso
them with your tongue and start dragging them to you as quickly as
possible. Once you are attacking them with your hands you should then
	unlock this Achievement.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Chain Smoker *20 points*
Constrict two Survivors in one life as a Smoker.
	- In a Versus Match, all you have to do it wrap your tongue around a
Survivor and get another in a single life as the Smoker. Now, this is
easier than you may think because you do not need to kill them really
nor even get them all in the red. So, in the first level of No Mercy
I suggest being a cat-burglar and prowl the rooftops. Once they get
into the alleyway quickly snag one and yanked them off of the ground.
The moment they are hanging there release them and disappear to a new
location and repeat, but make sure to get a hold of a different
Survivor. The very moment they are hanging in your biological noose
you can let them go and it then should unlock.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Barf Bagged *20 points*
Cover four Survivors with Boomer bile at once.
	- I found that the easiest way to do this was the third level in No
Mercy. All you really need for people to do, which happens more again
now with Valve making the door underneath the roofing unbreakable, is
be the Boomer and wait for the Survivors to all get on the Lift. Once
they are there and starting it quickly move to the edge and puke in a
circular motion (most of the time you will get them all covered in
your vomit!) and should you hit them all you will get this one
	unlocked!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Double Jump *20 points*
Pounce two different Survivors in one life as a Hunter.
	- It is almost the same as the Chain Smoker Achievement, however,
instead of being the Smoker, this time you are a Hunter. Unlike the
other one, this one is a bit harder as you need to be very quick in
doing it. The Hunter as the single flaw, Achievement wise, of having
to get into the face of the Survivors; so quickly jump onto one and
start to rip into their organs. I would suggest releasing them and
then jump on one of their other teammates before they simply pump
your face full of hot lead. Once you start to tear through the skin
of another Survivor this Achievement should unlock.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

All 4 Dead *30 points*
Kill all four Survivors in one life while playing as a Tank.
	- Even though this Achievement says Kill all four... you do not in
fact have to kill a single Survivor. When you are lucky enough to be the TANK
in a versus match all you have to do is simply knock each Survivor around
like a ragdoll until their health is low enough that they cannot get back up
without the help of one of their teammates. When one goes down, simply move
on to the next one. The moment that the last Survivor collapses, if you are
quick and strong enough to do so, you will unlock this Achievement. (A quick
tip. If you can smack a car...or forklift :P do so. It actually makes this
Achievement that much easier.)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dead Wreckening *20 points*
Dole out 5000 total Survivor damage as a Special Infected.
	- Some people think that you need to do this in one playthrough, well
those people are wrong. I got this I just casually played the Versus
mode quite a few times. The points that you get from each one stay
with your profile, so if you are not getting a lot of points just
keep at it and you will unlock this one too. Although, if you ever
become the TANK, hopefully you are at a place where you can launch
either a pillar or a car at the Survivors, as this will net you huge
	points.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lamb 2 Slaughter *20 points*
As an Infected, incap a Survivor who has entered and left a safe room.
	- Almost the opposite of Back 2 Help. As the Infected player you
have to time this one right however. So, hopefully one of the
Survivors will try to play the role of hero to their downed friend
outside instead of being a smart player and simply closing the safe
room door to wait till they bleed out. If they do try and play hero,
which we all hope every time that they do, you have to quickly attack
them before any of the other Infected players do. Just incap them and
you will then unlock this Achievement.

No Mercy Glitches

The Jesus Room
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Alright, so this is how you get the Jesus Room on No Mercy. I heard that valve
made it so that you can no longer do this, so I will be writing this as if you
did not get the patch that took this room out.

On the Rooftop finale, all you have to do is do what you normally do. Collect
your ammunition, stock up on health and then radio for the helicopter to come
and collect you.

Now about either sometime into the first wave, or shortly after it, head to
the side of the building with the satellite dish on top of it. The side you
want to head to is the one with the stairwell normally heading to the door
that is not open.

It will already be simply destroyed, if it is not then it is not open yet so
take care until it is. After it opens, just enter it and you do not have to
worry about any infected or TANK battles.

With the TANKS, they will simply run around outside till either they die or
their timer runs out. Which I do not know because sometimes it can take quite
a few minutes before they will just disappear off of the map.

So, just wait till you hear the helicopter coming before stepping outside of
the Jesus Room and heading to the helipad to make it a very easy win, yes
even on EXPERT.

                             Frequently Asked Questions [FAQS]
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Q: "I'm having trouble getting past the rooftop finale. We get so close, but
the tank either crushes us, or a thousand Infected overwhelm us while trying
to get to the helicopter...Any suggestions?"

A: After playing through this level again a few more times it seemed
the best bet would to be set up half of the traps on the ground floor, and
then half of them on the roof above where the radio is. (By traps I mean the
propane/gasoline tanks) During the first wave you will be on the ground floor
where you have easier access to any first aid kits remaining and the
ammunition there. When you need to set off the traps that you set up
somewhere within view. Right before the TANK comes, make sure that you kill
and SMOKER and HUNTER that may be around. After you have done so quickly
gather some more ammo and fall back up to the rooftop, having one person
guard the stairs and the rest defending the open part of the roof.

Now, during the third wave if you really need to quickly climb the ladder
leading to the very top of the building above the radio sticking close
together, for although easily defended against the common Infected, HUNTER
and BOOMER, you can easily get snagged and taken down by the SMOKER's long
reach of tongue. This should get you through that wave and to the final TANK.
Now, this is where the "fun" begins. For this is where it really seems to
fall apart for anyone playing with AI on difficulty Normal and harder. I
would suggest taking the fight down onto the main floor. However, doing so
leaves you very vulnerable to any others that may be down there with you, but
the plus side is the TANK will less likely just knock you off the building to
your death.

If you have played this level enough times you should have the layout of it
almost memorized so you should be able to do this. With the Automatic
Shotgun, just shoot away making sure that every shot lands its mark on the
TANK. While you are running backwards it will almost prevent the TANK from
hitting you and knocking you down for an easy second hit. Just continue to
run backwards, or if you are playing Split-Screen or the on-line campaign
take turns with the other survivors. Just run backwards while shooting, turn
around so you can run a little faster while you reload, climb a ladder
anywhere, turn and shoot at him some more. When you climb a ladder make sure
to jump off back to the ground floor when the TANK joins you up there
otherwise you will probably get knocked off and die.

Then the moment he dies book it over to the landing pad and shoot anything
that runs towards you until you can finally get into the helicopter. Now,
here is the really messed up part. If everyone is not in the Helicopter, the
TANK and any other Infected can very well jump in there and start attacking
you. So, again make sure you all get in the moment is gets close enough for
you to so you can finish the level.

Q: What is the gameplay like?

A: How do I answer this one...Well, I guess I could start off by saying that
Left 4 Dead is a First Person Shooter that uses the Third Person Perspective
during cut scenes and certain Player Actions.

During Campaign play, you will be selecting a single Human Character
(Survivor) to play through the mass of Infected that are between where you
start and your goal of being rescued. The Infected are not Zombies like in
the Resident Evil games and other games where they are in fact Zombies.
Instead they are Living Humans who have been infected with the virus that has
spread through the population. It is reminiscent of a rabies-like virus
which, only the Survivors are immune to. (They are lucky people dont you
think? :p)

If you do not have enough friends, or do not have access to Xbox Live, the
rest of the Survivors will be controlled by AI. I actually do have to say,
compared to some games the AI in this one actually make use of what they
have. Although, at times I wish they would be able to pick up Pipe Bombs. I
still would not trust a Molotov in their hands though.

This game is highly focused on Team Play and Cooperation. No matter what mode
you play your teammates are always highlighted in a green-like glow when they
are behind a wall so you know where they are and can coordinate your
movements better to help you survive. Also, if you get incapacitated, you
will need to have a teammate revive you. If you fall off a ledge and cling to
it, you will need another Survivor help you back up. If you are getting
attacked by any of the Infected such as the Smoker, Hunter or Witch, you will
need someone else to help and get them off of you before you can do anything.

Should you be revived twice you will experience a black and white tint to
your screen. This symbolizes that you are near death and being taken down
again you will in fact die. There are only two ways to get rid of this effect
and restart your count is to get healed with a Health Kit or to die. I would
prefer the former. However, should you die do not fear. You will be able to
re-spawn at the closet (except at key points) that is closest to the rest of
your squad. Again, however, one of them will need to open it for you before
you can play once again.

Survivors can also share some of the items that they find throughout the
various Campaigns, such as Health Kits and Pain Pills! Remember to share with
other players as they tend to be able to repay you back later for doing so.

Left 4 Dead also has a friendly fire aspect to it, which you cannot turn off.
So, I would highly recommend being very careful where you shoot even in the
hectic fire-fights that can and will occur in the game. Well, it is more
important as the difficulty gets higher and higher. On easy you really do no
damage so, you can be as free with your shots as you want on this one.

I hope that his has answered your question as well as the rest of the
information in this guide.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q: Umm...is the game difficult? In any certain areas?

A: Depends on your definition of difficult I would suppose. Here are some of
the things that may be a bit more difficult though for the average player.
The Crescendo Events, the Finales and Expert Difficulty are what may be
proven to be a bit too much for them.

The Crescendo Events are just certain parts throughout the different
Campaigns that you have to do and will cause you to fight a couple waves of
the Horde. Every time before they will come to swarm you though, you have
time to set up a few traps as well as stock up on Ammunition and heal
yourself with extra Health Kits or Pills. So, make sure to do just that to
make those spots in the game a bit easier for you.

The Finales I guess can prove a bit too much for some people, however, in
this guide are detailed ways to easily beat them. If you are having a tough
time even with using this Guide or one of the others that are out there on
the net feel free to always ask me a question about it and I will be more
than happy to answer them for you.

Expert Difficulty...this I would not really recommend for anyone who is new
to gaming, unless they feel they are ready because everything does so much
more damage to the player. From the lowly Infected to Friendly-Fire to the
Higher level of Infected. You just have to make sure that you really are
ready and have enough experience playing this game before trying out this
difficulty.
