I. Recommended Stats - Helpful Notes
--------------------
There is already a level glitch in the game. It will probably
be patched soon but you need to have a speech skill of 50 to
do it. This will also net you the 50 speech wins really quick.
This game is sorta different when it comes to skills
of speech and bartering. You actually have to have the skill
up to a certain level, it doesn't work on percents anymore.
You really want to get your speech skill up to 50 anyways
because most people you are trying to lure with speech, need
it to be at least 50. You want to start working on lockpick
and repair as soon as possible. Lockpick so you can get into
places. I always reccomend getting it to at least 50 as well.
For repair you want it to be at at least 30-35. This way you
can repair your weapons and get the repair achievement as well.
Science will need to be at 50 so you can hack all the way up
to normal terminals. Computers seem to be really rare and
in between in this game, so probably the higher it is the better.
Don't get too happy with your points, you also need to level up
Guns or Energy weapons, whatever you prefer to use. Might be
easier to just level up guns one playthrough and then energy
weapons on another if going for all achievements. Same with
unarmed and melee as well. This game offers a bunch of quests
but most are optional or you must complete to do the main
story quests. Unlike Fallout 3, you don't get an achievement
for every quest in the game.
You may want to get your speech, science, and lockpick skills
up to 100 if possible. There are quite a few surprises in the
game that require these stats at max. Science really needs to
be at 100 so you can hack all terminals. Lockpick being at
100 will save you the time of having to look for keys in a few
quests.

For The House Always Wins, Rendar Unto Caesar, For the Republic
and Wild Card you have to choose really which you want to do.
So you can make two separate saves for these achievements
once you come across them during the game. As soon as you
complete Ring a Ding Ding and exit the TOPs casino, two guys
will run up to you presenting you with some quests. One will
want you to see Caesar and another will ask you to talk to the
NCR. Save right here and this will be your jump back save for
choosing who to side with. Mainly the NCR will needed to be
sided with first because the other 3 sides are pretty open
up to a certain point.

NOTE: There are quite a few glitches and bugs in the game
right now so if something glitches, reload a previous save.
Be sure to save often.

II. The Achievements
-------------------
Fallout New Vegas has 50 Achievements worth a total of 1000

A. New Kid
  - Reach Level 10 10G
  - There are no achievements for being of a certain karma.
You just need to reach level 10. It takes 7,200 XP.

B. Up and Comer
  - Reach level 20 20G
  - There are no achievements for being of a certain karma.
You just need to reach level 10. It takes 29,450 XP.

C. The Boss
  - Reach level 30 30G
  - There are no achievements for being of a certain karma.
You just need to reach level 10. It takes 66,700 XP.
  - For the current XP glitch, get your speech up to 50. When
you get to Freeside, go to Atomic Wranglers bar and talk
to the guy at the desk and ask him if he needs any help.
He will tell you he needs some escorts. Go around and
look for a guy named Old Ben. Convince him to go be an
escort and he will run to the bar. Now go back to the bar
and talk to him, it will allow you to keep asking him to
join, getting you a bit of XP and successful speeches.

D. Ol' Buddy Ol' Pal
  - Recruit any companion 10G
  - Any will do, you can hire one in Freeside on the street.
  - There is a glitch with Ed-E robot companion as of right
now. He tends to disappear so you may have to reload
older saves to keep him around.

E. The Whole Gang's Here
  - Recruit all of the companions 25G
  - Here are the people that can join you.

  - Arcade Israel Gannon - Hoover Dam
  - Craig Boone - Novac
  - ED-E - Primm
  - Lillian Marie Bowen (Lily) - Jacobstown
  - Raul Alfonso Tejada - Black Mountain
  - Rex - The King's School of Impersonation - You can
start this quest for this companion after
             completing GI Blues quest.
  - Rose of Sharon Cassidy (Cass) - Traveling Water Merchant
  - Veronica Renata Santangelo - 188 Trading Post

    Temporary Companions
  - Neil - Black Mountain
  - Sunny Smiles - Goodsprings
  - Trudi - Goodsprings
  - Beagle - Primm

F. Crafty
  - Craft 20 items 15G
  - This can be ammo as well. Find a work bench after picking
up a bunch of shell casings and just keep making ammo.
Really easy to get. It can be 20 of the same bullet.

G. Mod Machine
  - Install 20 weapon mods 15G
  - You can install up to 3 weapon mods per weapon and once
it is installed, it is permanent. You buy parts from
different merchants and you install them yourself on
    the pip boy menu.

H. Walker of the Mojave
  - Discover 50 locations 10G
  - see Master of the Mojave

I. Master of the Mojave
  - Discover 125 locations 25G
  - There are a lot of locations in Fallout New Vegas. Most
are close together and small places like some random house
in the Wasteland. You will find most places around
Freeside/New Vegas. When you hit level 20, you can get
the explorer perk that allows all locations to appear on
the map. There are way more than 125 places in the game.

J. Globe Trotter
  - Find all the snowglobes 25G
  - So far I'm not sure how many there are total. Here are
the ones that have been found. They don't do stat increases
like the bobbleheads on Fallout 3 but can net you 2,000 caps
if sold to House the king of New Vegas. He lives in Lucky 38.
You can also just display them in your house.

  - Goodsprings - Goodsprings cemetery, on one of the graves
  - Hoover Dam - In the Hoover Dam offices, sitting on the welcome desk.
  - Mormon Fort - In the Old Mormon Fort, in the corner there is a
door to the tower. Upstairs on a shelf.
  - Mt. Charleston - Jacobstown in Jacobstown Lodge, sitting on the
                     reception desk.
  - Nellis AFB - Nellis AirForce Base, Nellis Boomer Museum.
  - Test Site - Lucky 38 Casino, Cocktail lounge on the counter
  - The Strip - Vault 21 (Vegas Strip), locked room in the
                northeast corner

K. You Run Barter Town
  - Sell 10,000 caps worth of goods 15G
  - The higher your barter skill, the faster this will come. Just while
exploring the wasteland, pick up all guns and sell them. You can get
a lot more caps for weapons depending on their condition so if you have
a decent repair skill, don't be afraid to combine weapons. They will
net you quite a bit of caps. Also make sure people you sell to have a
bit of caps. You can check how many caps they have in the upper right
    corner on the sell menu.

L. Blast Mastery
  - Deal 10,000 damage with energy weapons 15G
  - You deal more damage depending on your Energy skill level. This is using
Laser and Plasma weapons. Doesn't matter if it is a two handed or one
handed gun. If you enjoy using energy weapons, this will come naturally
    during normal play.

M. Love the Bomb
  - Deal 10,000 damage with explosives 15G
  - This has to do with the Explosives skill. The higher it is, the more
efficient you can use explosives. This counts for mines, grenades
dynamite and explosive launchers. You can usually find frag grenades
all over the place and you find quite a bit of dynamite from the start
of the game as well. Just really want to abuse it and throw it at
most enemies just to knock this achievement out of the way.

N. Lead Dealer
  - Deal 10,000 damage with guns 15G
  - This deal with basic guns that use standard bullets. Pistols, rifles,
and shotguns all fall into this category if they use actual bullets.
Doesn't matter if it is a single handed or two handed gun, all count.
The higher your gun skill, the faster you can acquire this but there
should be no rush on it. You will probably get it really early on
no trouble because the game is mostly based on gun use.

O. No Tumbler Fumbler
  - Pick 25 locks 15G
  - Try to hold onto your bobby pins and don't force locks. You don't
want to risk breaking locks. You need a lockpick skill of 15 for
very easy, 30 for easy, 50 for normal, 75 for hard and 100 for
very hard. I would reccomend having it at least at 50 and you
should have no trouble picking 25 locks early on in the game.
If you want to save bobby pins, try a lock two times and if you
don't get it, cancel picking and repick, that way your bobby pin
resets but the lock also has a different sweet spot.

P. Stim-ply Amazing
  - Heal 10,000 damage with stimpaks 15G
  - If you take a lot of damage while in the wastes, abuse some
stimpaks if you want this early on. Otherwise it should come
easily during normal gameplay. You can also hurt yourself and
heal or crank the difficulty up so you take more damage. The
higher your Medicine skill, the more health you gain from
    stimpaks.

Q. New Vegas Samurai
  - Deal 10,000 damage with melee 15G
  - For this you may want to level your melee skill up. It doesn't
need to be too high but the higher the better. Use weapons like
baseball bats, knives, pool cues and Machetes. Anything you swing
you work fine. Just keep cutting or beating up enemies and this
    will come eventually.

R. Jury Rigger
  - Repair 30 items 15G
  - This deals with the repair skill and to me is a must to have a
good repair skill. This will save you a ton of caps since you
can repair your own stuff. All you need is a double of your
weapon. Example, you have a varmint rifle, you kill an enemy and
pick their's up. You can now go to your pip boy and use their
rifle to repair yours and make it stronger. Do this 30 times and
you will get this. Higher your repair skill, the higher you repair
    you item.

S. Hack the Mojave
  - Hack 25 terminals 15G
  - This deals with the science skill and like the lockpick skill, it
has to be so high depending on the level of the terminal. There
aren't too many terminals in the game that I have seen so you may
want to max out your Science skill to get this one. To hack a
terminal, you must access it and then pick the right code command
to hack it. If you mess up twice you may want to cancel and start
again. You don't want to lock the terminal down since they are
    rare in the game.

T. Artful Pocketer
  - Pick 50 pockets 15G
  - This deals with the Sneak skill. You also have to have a pretty
high sneak skill to successfully pick pocket people. First you
have to crouch and it will say Hidden or Detected at the top
middle of the screen. If you are hidden you can pick someone's
pocket but you don't want to get caught or your reputation in
    that area will go down.

U. Outstanding Orator
  - Pass 50 Speech checks 15G
  - Just from playing through, you want to have a 50 speech skill.
Most people you have to be at about 50 to convince them with
you speech. You can also use the glitch to go ahead and knock
    this out as well.

V. Desert Survivalist
  - Heal 10,000 damage with food 15G
  - There is tons of food in the game all over. You may
want to keep Rad Away on you as well because just about
all food gives you Radiation. Just whenever you get
hurt instead of using stimpaks, eat you some food. You
can hurt yourself and eat food or you can crank up the
difficulty to take more damage. The higher your Survival
skill, the more health you gain from food items.

W. Old-Tyme Brawler
  - Deal 10,000 damage with unarmed 15G
  - For this you may want to level your unarmed skill up. Might
be one for a separate playthrough because I don't really fight
without a weapon on this game. Just keep attacking enemies
head-on with your fists and you should get this.

X. Know When to Fold Them
  - Win 3 games of Caravan 10G
  - Caravan is a card game you can play with
random people in the wasteland. You can
purchase new cards from merchants as well.
The first time you encounter this is in Goodsprings. Right
after the tutorial, talk with the guy hiding out at the Gas
Station and he will ask you to play. He will also teach you
the rules. You must win 3 games for this. if you cannot
remember the rules, copy the link below.

   http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Caravan_%28game%29

Y. One Armed Bandit
  - Play 10 spins of slots 10G
  - You will be able to play this when you get to New Vegas.
There are also some slot machines in the Atomic Wrangler
in Freeside which is right there at New Vegas.
Just play 10 games and this is yours.

Z. Little Wheel
  - Play 10 spins of roulette 10G
  - You will be able to play this when you get to New Vegas.
Just play 10 games and this is yours.

AA.Double Down
  - Play 10 hands of Blackjack 10G
  - You will be able to play this when you get to New Vegas.
Just play 10 games and this is yours.

AB.Caravan Master
  - Win 30 games of Caravan 30G
  - Caravan is a card game you can play with
random people in the wasteland. You can
purchase new cards from merchants as well.
The first time you encounter this is in Goodsprings. Right
after the tutorial, talk with the guy hiding out at the Gas
Station and he will ask you to play. He will also teach you
the rules. You must win 30 games for this. if you cannot
remember the rules, copy the link below.

   http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Caravan_%28game%29

AC.The Courier Who Broke the Bank
  - Get banned from all the casinos on the strip 30G
  - You get banned by winning too much at a casino. You must get
banned from all casinos. There are only 3 casinos on the strip
that you can get banned from. One way to do this, buy 100 chips
and then go to the Blackjack Table. Save your game and then go
all in and. If you win, you double you chips, if you lose,
reload and try again. Rinse and repeat until banned. Blackjack
seems to work the fastest but each casino will take you a bit
    to get banned from it.

Gomorrah = Banned at 9,000+ chips.
The Tops = Banned at 10,000+ chips.
    Ultra-Luxe = Banned at 15,000+ chips.

AD.Hardcore
  - Beat the game on Hardcore mode 100G
  - Hardcore has nothing to do with the game's in game difficulty
of Easy, Normal and Hard. It is a separate mode that carries
on the with the difficulty you select. So I would reccomend
playing on Easy with Hardcore on. You will be first asked
if you want to play on Hardcore right before leaving the Doc's
house at the start of the game. You cannot deactivate it at
any time while playing through the game or you won't get the
    achievement.

Hardcore mode makes the game more realistic by making Simpaks
heal you over time. Rad Away decreases radiation over time.
You must eat food to survive. YOu must sleep in normal cycles.
You must drink water here and there or you will dehydrate and
you must see a doctor to heal limbs or use a doctor's bag.
Also companions can die and food does not restore health.
Ammo has weight so you can only carrie what you can.

AE.Ain't That a Kick in the Head
  - Complete 'Ain't That a Kick in the Head' 10G
  - You will get this as soon as you start the game and
create your character and do his beginning stats.

AF.They Went That-a-Way
  - Complete 'They Went That-a-Way' 25G
  - This will start as soon as start the game. You have to
ask around about the people that left you for dead in the
desert. You can help the people in Goodsprings first and
then you will head to Primm where you must save the deputy
who has been captured. Once you save the deputy, he will
tell you about the man who shot you and this will lead you
to Nipton. You will find the Legion has taken over Nipton
and must report this or join their side. You will then
be led to Novac where you can talk to Manny Vargas that will
want you to clear out the rocket factory of ghouls. This
will trigger the Come Fly with Me quest but you can
just check his computer to see where Khan went. You will
then head to Boulder City and find two guys there. The
resistance is there and you will have to either go in and
kill the guys or convince them to release their hostages.
Whatever happens, once it is complete, you get this
    achievement and start Ring-a-Ding-Ding.

AG.Ring-a-Ding-Ding
  - Complete 'Ring-a-Ding-Ding' 25G
  - This will send you to New Vegas. This starts as soon as you
complete They Went That-a-Way. When you get to New Vegas, you
can go talk to Benny at the TOPS Casino. If your speech is high,
you can convince him to drop his body guards and talk to you in
the presidential suite. Once in the suite, he will convince you
to join him. If you decide to join him or tell him to leave the
suite, his body guards will attack you. If you decide to just kill
him, you get the Platinum chip back and then can go talk to House.
Doesn't matter what you do, if you tell him to leave, Benny
will haul ass to a Bunker and you must follow after talking
to House. You will complete this achievement once you have
talked to Benny in the Suite.

AH.The House Always Wins
  - Complete 'The House Always Wins' 30G
  - This is a multi-part quest. You must complete parts 1-7.

    Part I
You get this quest as soon as you enter New Vegas strip the
first time. You are prompted to go visit House at the Lucky 38
casino. If you completed Ring-a-Ding-Ding first, depending on
what you chose in that, depends on what House wants you to do.
If you decided to kill Benny and take the chip, HOuse will want
the chip to beef up his security bots. If you didn't kill Benny,
House wants you to chase him down and recover the chip. House will
offer you money and give you your own Suite as your home. Once you
recover the chip, you will complete part I of the quest. If you
choose to destory the generators inside the bunker, you will fail
Part I of this quest even if you beef up his robots.

    Part II
Part II of the quest starts after you talk to House. You must
hunt down Benny or go activate the chip at Fortification Hill to
activate a hidden Bunker. Really depends on what you do with Benny
when you catch him at the TOPS. After recovering the chip. If
you give it to Mr. House, this will complete part II.

    Part III
Your first task is to meet the Boomers. You must talk to Mother
Pearl and she will tell you to help around the camp. Check
Valore Quest for the specifics. After you have their loyalty,
return to Mr. House and let him know the news.
    This will complete part 3.

    Part IV
First thing you have to do is to investiage the Omertas. When
you get there, talk to the receptionist and she
will then tell you go talk to Cachino. He tells you that he
doesn't know anything. Go check out his suite and find his journal
in one of the desks. Return to him and he will tell you to go
see Clandon. Go see Clandon and you can check out his safe hidden
behind one of the wardrobes. You will find a Snuff film and you
can blackmail Clandon with this to leave. After he leaves, return
to Cachino and tell him. He then wants you to go to a meeting with
him. Go to the meeting and kill the two crime bosses there. This
will complete the little Omerta quest. Return to House and tell
him that you have shut the Omerta's down and this will complete
Part 4 of the House quest and start Part 5.

    Part V
House wants you to kill of the Brotherhood of Steel. Go to their
Hidden Bunker and attack. You need a lockpick skill of 100 or
a brotherhood key. Wipe out most of the brotherhood inside and
you'll get to a room with a terminal that allows you to self
destruct the place. If you have a Science skill of 100, you can
straight blow the place up, if not you must find 3 keycards.
1 is on a scribe you killed in the room. 1 is on the leader of
the brotherhood and 1 is on the top Paladin of the bunker.
Once you have all 3, activate the terminal for the password.
Now activate the self destruct sequence and leave. Once
outside, the place will blow up. Return to House and this will
    complete part 5.

    Part VI
If you are neutral or below by the NCR, you will auto fail
part 6 of House always wins but this isn't a problem because
it will auto start part 7 and you still get the achievement
after completeling part 7. You must save the President from
being killed. Don't worry too much about this 1 while doing
House's quests. You will get this for sure on your NCR run.

    Part VII
Travel to the El Dorado Substation and power it back on with
the chip Mr. House gives you. The place is surrounded by NCR.
Get inside and then activate the terminal to turn the power
on and then return to Mr. House. This will complete part 7.
This now starts the All or Nothing quest.

AI.For the Republic
  - Complete 'For the Republic' 30G
  - This starts once you complete King's Gambit. If you decide
to start either House always Wins quest or Render unto Caesar
this quest auto fail and you can't complete it. Same with
King's Gambit, the quest right before this one. Head to
Hoover Dam and speak with Moore. He wants you to go meet
with the Kahn's at Red Rock Canyon.

AJ.Render Unto Caesar
  - Complete 'Render Unto Caesar' 30G
  - This quest is started in New Vegas after
talking to Benny and leaving the casino. You
will be approached by a Legion member telling
you to go talk to Caesar. You will have to go to Fortification
Hill and take the River up to the Fort. Caesar will tell you
to destroy all things inside the Bunker dealing with Mr. House.
There are 3 generators inside the bunker that you have to
destroy. If you are going for The House Always Wins, just help
Mr. House by upgrading his robot army and dont destroy the
generators. This way you can do both. The way it works is
when you go back to Caesar he will think you did as he asked.
Now return to Mr. House and give him the chip, this will
complete House Wins part 2. Now just save your game and kill
off House as Caesar wants. Activate the terminal to the left
of House and open the antechamber. This will turn the robots
hostel. Kill them off and then access the terminal in the
antechamber room to go to the control room. Once inside,
open Mr. House's chamber and this will show you his true
form. Kill him and return to Caesar. Caesar now wants you
two gain the trust of the other tribes. First you must meet
the Boomers and Nellis Airforce Base. You must be accepted
by the Boomers before they will join. Complete some quests
for them and this shouldn't be a problem. Return to Caesar
and he will want you to gain the White Glove's support.
Go there and talk to Majorie about joining. She will decline.
Now talk to Mortimer and he will tell you of a way to gain
their trust. After doing his little quest, talk back to
Majorie and she will join. Return to Caesar and he will
then tell you to wipe out a squad of Brotherhood of Steel.
Go to their Hidden Bunker and attack. Wipe out most of
the brotherhood inside and you'll get to a room with a
terminal that allows you to self destruct the place. If
you have a Science skill of 100, you can straight blow
the place up, if not you must find 3 keycards. 1 is on
a scribe you killed in the room. 1 is on the leader of
the brotherhood and 1 is on the top Paladin of the bunker.
Once you have all 3, activate the terminal for the password.
Now activate the self destruct sequence and leave. Once
outside, the place will blow up. Return to Caesar and
he will now tell you he needs surgery. If you have a
Medicine skill of 75, you can just give him the operation.
If not, you can go to Vault 34 to get the tools for his
auto doc to fix him up or you can go to the New Vegas
Medical Clinic and get tools to do the operation. If
you decide to get the surgical tools, you still need a
medicine skill of 75 to save Caesar, if not, you can
make the operation look like an accident and move on if
you Speech skill is at 50. You can convince the Legion
that there was no way around his death. This will
open up the Arizona Killer quest. After you finish
killing the president, go back to The Fort (make sure
you take off the NCR army before you return). Once you
report back to Caesar or Lucious, tell him you killed the
president. They will say good work and tell you to go
meet Legatus Lanius. When you talk to him about attacking
Hoover Dam, this will complete Render unto Caesar and start
