Fable II Intro
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
SPOILER ALERT!!!!!

I am a huge fan of role playing games and the Fable series is one of my favourite. After completing Fable 1 I couldn't wait until this game came out. As soon as it did, I bought it and it has given me hours of joy. This is a guide to help people through the tough parts of the game that puzzled even me, an expert gamer...joking. If you like this game I advise you buy Fable I as it has a better story line and you can wear armor. The only downfalls are the graphics are worse and you don't have a dog. And now I hear Fable III is coming soon I am so excited although I have to admit that the Elder Scrolls series are the best role-playing games.

The game starts off as you controlling a little street orphin by the name of Sparrow who lives with his sister. However one night a trader by the name of Murgo comes selling "magical stuff". He has a music box which came from the era of the Old kingdom. He claims it will grant you one wish, however he doesn't know that it actually does, and is selling it for only five gold peices. However this is a lot for you and your sister so you have to raise money by helping people and geting rewarded. This is also where you meet your dog at first. The twist is that every quest at this time has two outcomes, a good one witch will help the town prosper and an evil one which will turn this town into an evil, lawless, dump like Bloodstone. What you do here effects the game in your adulthood significantly. After raising the money you buy the music box and your sister whishes to live in a castle, specifically the one in Bowerstone owned by Lord Lucien. But after she wishes this the music box dissapears and nothing happens. She is pretty ticked off and goes to bed straight away. However in the middle of the night you are woken up by a few guards that say Lord Lucien wants you to pay him a visit. You travel to Lord Lucien's castle and he tells you of a tale about heroes and how he believs one of you is one. He puts you on trial and tests if you are, however he soon finds out that one of you is the one that will stop him from his mad dream of reviving the Spire, an Old Kingdom artifact of great power. So he tries to stop you from doing this in the future by killing you off now. He shots your sister and then takes aim at you, apologises, then pulls the trigger. You go flying out the window and take a massive fall to the ground some hundred metres bellow.

He thinks he has stopped you but he was mistaken, you somehow survive. Although it takes you many years to recover you are helped by Theresa, a blind seress who could possibly be the same Theresa that is the sister of your character in the first Fable game. She kindles you back to health slowly taking many years. The next you see is your character in young adulthood, fully recovered. She askes you to travel to the Heroes Guild, well the remnants of it. Here you find that you have the same heroic bloodline as the fabled heroes some five-hundred years ago. You also gain the ability to use your willpower to cast devestating spells. She then tells you to meet her in Bowerstone, yes the same town as in Fable I, although it has changed a fair bit in the last five hundred years. However you soon find out the road is blocked because of local bandit activity caused by Thag, a big tough bandit, okay he isn't that tough as he dies after a few swings of your rusty but trusty sword, but he kicked your dog! After defeating him you can travel to Bowerstone to meet Theresa, however she is a few minutes late and recommends you buy some equipment. When she arrives she tells you the prophecy of the Spire and what you need to stop Lucien. Among these things is three people that believed they were ordinary but they actually also happen to be heroes....coincidence? The three heroes specialize in one area, either strenght, skill or will. This is what makes you superior as you specialize in all of these.

The hero of strength goes by the name of Hannah and is a pacifist monk. However this quickly changes as her father is killed by one of Luciens goons and she gives up the belief of being a pacifist to get revenge on Lucien. She picks up a hammer the size of your character and becomes a great fighter, especially for one that used to be a pacifest.Except when you both have to fight together, she leaves you to do all the work! Because of her giant hammer people give her the nickname of Hammer.

The hero of will is a mage called Garth who used to be the alchemist for Lord Lucien, that is until he found out what Lucien was trying to do. However he is captured right in front of your eyes in his own wizard tower by the Commanadant, another one of Lucien's goons. To rescue him you have to go undercover at the Spire, but you didn't realise you would be at the Spire for some ten years.

The hero of skill is a vicous pirate named Reaver who lives in the lawless town of Bloodstone in the biggest house. It is said he could shot another ships captain more then five hundred metres a way with his pistol, imagine what he could do with a sniper, sadly snipers don't exist in this time. Upon meeting him you find out that he sold the whole of Oakvale, including it's ocupants and his own family, to the Shadow court to retain his youth. You recruit Reaver to your cause right before the end of the main storyline.

All the heroes meet at the top of hero hill to forge the weapon to stop Lucien but Lucien predicts this and captures Hammer, Garth and Reaver. The thing is, he needs them in his plans to destroy the world but he doesn't need you( why does every evil guy want to destroy the world?) .He tells you that he killed your family or Families (biagimist aren't you). He tries to end your life but your loyal, faithful, companion (your dog) jumps in the way to save you at the cost of his life (don't worry, greenpeace or RSPCA will arrest Lucien for animal cruelty). Your dog dies in his attempt to save your life but it is all in vain as Lucien fires another shot and hits you directly, but somehow you survive again. You are knocked out and all you can hear is Theresa saying this is not your time, which is also what you said when you fell out of the window as a child. You wake up in a dream world where you find the key to defeating Lucien, the music box that you used in your childhood. You wake up from this dream with the music box in hand, and somehow you wake up in the Spire close to Lucien. You see Lucien absorbing power from the other heroes. He sights you and tries to put you to sleep with his powers but the music box protects you. You then take back all the power he absorbs and then he give you his final words. You can shot him then and there or you can listen for about a minute until Reaver shots him in the head. I prefer the first option as that way you get the satisfaction of stoping an evil tyrant trying to destroy a video game world. After this you can use the Spire's power to make your wish, you have the following options:

The needs many-revives all the slave that died in the making of the spire. You get nothing but the satisfaction of righteous. This gives you good side points. Your family and dogs remain dead. This is the good option for all the goody-to-shoes out there.

The needs of few-revives your family or families and most importantly, your dog. You don't get any good or evil points but you get your dog. I've beaten the game three times and I have always chosen this option. I mean come on it's a cute iresistable dog were talking about.....and your family but mainly the dog.

The needs of one- It says it gives you all the gold you can dream of, but it only gives you one million gold. I can dream of more! You get evil side points but not your dog or family. This is the option for all those evil people out their, but it's close to christmas so you need to be nice.

After the main storyline is finished you can still play the game and finish all the quests, including a few new ones. After or the quests are completed the game gets pretty boring unless you are trying to get achievements or just killing people.

The guide
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The first part of my guide is about the Archaeologist side quest. Your reward for this quest is either Archon's Dream Or 50,000 gold. If you choose the gold you get good side points, however if you choose to keep the gem you will become more evil. You can only find the first four scrolls before the Spire. This is the longest quest (gargoyle's non-withstanding) of the game and it is filled with riddles and...well...confusement. The hardest scroll to find is the one in Gemstone grotto as this is a secret location and is out of your normal travelling path. To get their you need to jump off the bridge in rookridge and swim to the left until you reach the ship-wrecked boat. The secret area will be on the right of this boat. This area can only be accesed in late adulthood after you return from the spire. The next part of my guide is the loacation of, and how to open, the Demon doors. This part of the guide is pretty self-explanatory. I still don't understand why they call them demon doors as they are funny and nice, I mean come on, who else gives you free gifts at the price of a five-hundred year old rock's amusement. The part after this is what you get for silencing the gargoyles, which are grey talking statues that like flinging a few insults your way. You need to have a ranged weapon with at least level two dextorous styles. These things are practically suicidle, I mean how dumb do you have to be to insult a big, strong hero that is holding a gun. A lot of confusion is placed at the final chest, where people find a rotten apple. Yes a rotten apple, all that hard work for an apple. However there is a breakable section of wall just behind this chest which leads to the infamous crossbow, the Rammer. Then after that it shows the locations of the Gargoyles them selves, yes all fifty of them, not fourty-nine to annoy you, all of them. It then shows all the sculpture locations and random info that is helpful. Contact me if you have any queries, my contact details are at the bottom.

Sculpture Locations [SL01]
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sculptures can be made from the sculptor in Oakfield. The more expensive the sculpture is to make the more renown you get from making it. You get the most renown if you peform the expression perfectly. The harder the expression is to pull off the more renown you get.

1)In front of Oakfield Inn, "The Sandogoose"
2)Bloodstone waterfront
3)In front of Brightwood gate
4)Westcliff shooting range
5)Fairfax Gardens fountain

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Helpful info [HI01]
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This section is a bit of useful info that will find you loot and help unlock acheivements.

Use clockwork pistol at shooting range to get main prize easier as it can shoot five to six bullets without reloading and it reloads very quickly.Always aim for heads(do not expect to get on first go).
Worship Expression-Bowerstone bookstore 2nd story shelves.
The Daichi(best sword in the game)-travel through archons knot(brightwood tower),should be on cliff outside in a chest. This area can only be accessed after you travel to Bloodstone at least once.
At end of game where you have to choose between the three options pick one then as soon as achievement pops up turn off your console. Restart then choose another option(the game wont save but the achievement will).
People say to get money rent lots of houses and buy lots of shops then set the clock forward on your Xbox. However if you are connected to xbox live like most gamers, you cannot change the clock as it is automatically updated. Their is an easy solution to this, turn your xbox off at the powerpoint so the date and time reset (you won't lose data) and turn off your router/modem. Then start up your game and play it for about half an hour, then turn on your router/modem, hit the xbox guide button on your controller and connect to xbox live. You should get at least fifty times what you normally get as the clock resets to the year 2005.
If you are having trouble killing five human enemies with a spell then try it in the crucible, here you can charge youur spell while your enemies are spawning. If you need help killing three enemies with one shot then use the master blunderbuss on hollow men. The blunderbuss is powerful and get inflict damage on a large group of enemies and the hollow men are brittle and weak.
If you are having trouble defeating the troll in the crucible in under one minute and fifty seconds then use The Red Dragon which is earned from completing the Westcliff shooting range with more then one-hundred and seventy five points. Do not use the slow down time spell as it slows down the troll nerves showing but doesn't slow the clock, even though it appears it does. If you do not choose the family option at the end of this game to revive your dog anf family then you are evil, pure evil, not your character in the game you.
If you do not choose the family option then you don't have your dog, however your dog's ghost appears in places where you need him for quests but it is way cooler if your dog survives.
