What is Team Set-up? What I refer team set up as is the Formation, Jobs, and 
Skills equipped throughout the team for Shu, Jiro, Kluke, Marumaro, and Zola. 
It would be hard to beat Blue Dragon with no strategy in your team. For example 
what if most of your team was low in health and you had no White Mages or 
healing items or if your fighting a enemy weak to magic with no Mages on the 
field? This guide will show you how to create a team that can heal, face any 
enemy, and protect yourself on and off the battlefield.

Difference Formation Positions                                            (DFP)

It took me sometime to realize that the front row and the back row had some 
differences. The front row, best for Monks, Assassins, Guardians, Generalist, 
and Sword Master, has a higher attack than those in the back row, but get hit 
90% of the time. The back row, best for all Mages and Generalist, has a lower 
attack but their magic attack is unaffected, and doesn't get hit often.

Jobs and Their Skills                                                     (JNS)

Job is also known as a Class (I will refer to as Class), an example would be 
the Assassin Class, and the skill is just the abilities you get in said Class, 
just like the Assassin's Loot. All Classes go to RANK 99 they don't stop at the 
last SKILL, but I will recommended what RANK to go to and why. Also everything
in this section is coming out the Instruction Booklet that comes with every 
game, with my own added comments. I just thought the guide wouldn't be complete 
without this. Also keep in mind that none of these SKILLS work, except the 
basic skill, unless equipped! The basic skill has to be equipped in other 
classes if they are not the class it came from. Make sure you equip them!

Sword Master                                                              (JSM)

**Only NORMAL attacks work, Magic Swords don't. They also work together.

For this Class, I would only go as far as RANK 29 for the Absorb MP unless you 
plan on a 100% complete game. If you stick with this Class make sure you equip 
the absorb HP and MP the moment you get them they are extremely useful for your 
Magic Swords and if you health gets low.

For this Class I would go all the way to RANK 36 for Black Magic LVL 6. This 
SKILL has all of the Black Magic spells at its deposal and could be used by 
any Class and the Boost MP isn't half bad ether.

For this Class I would only go up to RANK 30. In a boss fight this comes very 
useful because you'll be able to heal or attack a lot quicker. To me the 
Resurrection SKILL isn't useful because you can revive a teammate and heal all
of you team in two turns.

For this Class, I would go all the way to RANK 35 for Double Cast and Magic
Essence. If you had both of these SKILLS and the Black Magic LVL 6 you would 
have a powerful mage with you because your Magic Attack is extremely high, and
have the most powerful spells in the game.

***It makes the Magic Defense the same as if the Barrier Magic Class was that 
   RANK

This Class I would definitely take this one all the way to RANK 50. Field
Barrier 3 + Regenerate MP would make it were you would almost never have to 
fight if you have beaten them before. There are a few enemies this has no 
effect on though, such as Bosses and larger enemies.

I would go ahead and take this one up to RANK 35 for the Double Strike and 
Long-Range attack. These two together are trouble not only you can attack 
any enemy you hit the enemy twice doubling the damage given.

This Class I definitely would go all the way to RANK 31 for Absolute Counter. 
If the character is ever attack with this SKILL equipped they ALWAYS attack
back if it's a physical attack and maybe some magic attacks.

I would definitely go to RANK 33 for Total Guard, Berserker, Endure, and Boost 
Max HP +50%. Total Guard + Endure + Boost Max HP +50% + Berserker = one ticked 
off person. They guard the team from most attacks with a lot of HP, they more 
damage they take the more powerful they become, and when their HP reaches 1 
their MP is used. The Guardian will stay in battle for a long time!

Needless to say take this one up to RANK 36 you get eight extra skill slots 
that are accentual to making an efficient team. For example Skill +8 + Total 
Guard + Absolute Counterattack + Berserker + Boost Max HP and MP + Endure + 
Magic Fence + Sentinel Shield + Double Strike + Battle Essence = a lot of dead
enemies. Every time an enemy attacks it is going to die thank to this 
combination.

When to Obtain Jobs and For Whom                                          (OJW)

Right off the back you need to get Barrier Magic for the first class you get. I
would recommend it for Shu since in the third disc he's the only one with a 
shadow for awhile. As for everyone else get any jobs at any time.

By the time you get to the Underground River the Barrier Magic User should be 
around RANK 50 and RANK 8 in Black Magic. If they are not train on the Kelolon 
they give 5 SP per fight. You should be around LVL 30 in all characters so you 
should have around 6 or 7 Classes for each character.

you'll need to be able to attack, defend, heal yourself, and boost yourself 
when needed.

How to Use Team in Battle                                                 (HUT)

Balanced Team Version 1
When an enemy attacks Jiro's Total Guard activates, if its a single target 
attack, followed but an Absolute Counterattack + Double Hit. Zola and Kluke 
both use Magic Sword until their MP is gone, then the do normal Attacks to 
replenish their MP, then repeat. Marumaro and Shu both attack with Magic and
heal the team. Helps Defend using his Barrier Magic while Marumaro boosts the 
Team and inflict status problems on the enemy with his Support Magic.

Balanced Team Version 2
When an enemy attacks Zola's Total Guard activates, if its a single target 
attack, followed but an Absolute Counterattack + Double Hit. Shu and Marumaro 
both use Magic Sword until their MP is gone, then the do normal Attacks to 
replenish their MP, then repeat. Jiro and Kluke both attack with Magic and heal
the team. Jiro helps Defend using his Barrier Magic while Marumaro boosts the 
Team and inflict status problems on the enemy with his Support Magic. This
time,however, when Shu, Jiro, Kluke, or Marumaro dies the come back to life
using resurrection.
