When choosing the game, take into account what maps you play best at, and how many kills you usually get at that map.
But most importantly, always take the time to check your PING status with the host. Looking at the game, to the right will be either 1 red dot, 2 yellow dots or 3 green dots. Always try to find the games with green dots, as this prevents 'lagg' in the games you pay, meaning more chance of a successful game :)

Now you have to actually play your way (unless you do my secret way, Ill never tell, but haven't used it glitch) to Elite. This can take months, depending on how good you are. One way is to play Terrorist Hunts on Realistic Difficulty, with the enemy density on high. Say you complete everyone you do, in about 5 minutes each, you'll be raking in 6,000 points an hour (considering game lobby time).
A safe way of doing it, is Team Sharpshooter. Is the lobby, look a people Gamertags (do not be fooled by low ranks, they may have reset their rank from Elite.) and look for R6V and see if they have Elite achievement. Try to find the team with the best ranks. If the ranks are about even, try to get in the Hosts team, as he has advantage.

On the Level LVU campus, you should see notice boards outside, as you go out of the back of Spawn Location A, one of the notices say 'No one likes an Emo kid'.
