Want good at items at start of the game do the fighters guild first you get some good enchanted items about 7-12 items

You must be atleast a level 4 to do this.
First buy several scrolls that are the same(must have more scrolls than the item you want to copy)
Second go into your inventory and go to the scrolls
Third activate the srolls by pushing A twice
Fourth after activating the scolls go to the item you want to copy and drop the item
Fith after dropping the item go back to game play and several copies of that item should fall to the ground.
When activating the scroll do not leave your inventory or you will have to do it over

When you get in a fight with a guard, use a rally spell on the townsfolk and then they will start fighting the guards. The more people the better. Soon the guards focus their attention on the villigers that will give you time to hide in a safe location. But eventully the gaurds will win the battle. A hint is to use people who can't die and people wit high health. WARNING the spell does wear off eventuly.

If you want someone dead without a bounty you can use a rage spell. They will go mad and start attacking the gaurds then the guards kill them, sometime they just survive by running away.
Here is some help on doing this.
1.never do the rage spell on someone twice. They will just run away or they will tell the guards.
2. Never do the rage spell in front of a guard they will arrest you
3. Always be pepared the person you put the spell on they might turn on you.
4. If you want something from a store you can put the spell on the shop keeper when they run out of the store you can rob it because no one is around
5. Rage spells is also very useful when you are on a dark brotherhood quest
6. Rage spells under twenty levels will not work on guards

NOTE: you must have access to any fence in the thieves guild for this to work.

What you do is wait until about midnight then break into a shop (hard lock so need appropriate spell or good security) then proceed to steal everything there then simply go to a fence and sell the stuff, I recommend using a shop like the mystic emporium which has things like scrolls which are light and for me it also had 2 items (they were very good but I didn't want them) that were equal to nearly 400 gold on their own.

P.S. As I write this I'm loading my Xbox and I'm going to try the gilded carafe

P.P.S. Grey Foxes' hood helps unbelievably with this as noone will blame you.

Ever seen Maiq, everyones favorite khajiit and thought"where can I get those robes?"well, now you can!All you need is the Shivering Isles expansion Pack. In the main story line, around the 2nd mission[or third, depends] it asks you to go to "Dunroot Barrow" which is NorthWest of New Sheoth. Go there, then go NorthEast from there to Cann. Go through, killing all Heretics in your way till you reach "Arena:Subsection" kill all the hungers, and proceed to check every room and/or body. Eventually you shall find the Tattered robe and Hood lyeing around. You can also find Tan robe and hood in one of the other rooms if you look. Hope this helped all those people who wanted the robes :)

Alright you start out as a guy in jail and crap right? Well you go through the walk through and follow the emperior with his men. After going through to the point the emperior is dead, don't leave that room. Instead, attack the african knight that stands over his dead body. He will soon draw out his sword and start attacking you, make SURE you have it on rly easy because he's rigged. You will notice he won't die, which is good in this case...

Block, Attack, and use spells to harm him and u'll gain skill points and rank up. Make sure you have a healing spell like asorb health because he has stuns. After awhile his sword breaks and he will be forced to use fists. Pick his broken katana up (fix it up later) and then he'll glitch and just run around. Punch and run to him till he backs into a wall (best if it's a small 2 way wall) And beat the crap out of him. He'll just keep saying the same line getting rdy to punch but will remain still. Don't ever hesitate, more then 6 seconds of letting him free will undue it an he'll go after you punching. This can go up to hours depending on how fast you keep the upkeep. Do spells, punch, and w.e you want best to do both at same time so he gets stuck still.
U'r lvling up right away and he never dies so it's a useful dummy. Once he attacks you in fist u'r not done yet. Once that happens lead him to where there is a platform where you fought the red guys at that spawn alot. There is a tall half broken structure like a brick that holds up the roof. Simply jump on that and the guy will not be able to reach you and he will remain so close an of for you to just hit and use spells on. You should kneel and do w.e you can while he awaits. If he is moving alot cast a fire and he will remain up close to where the littl shattered bricks are. If that's not good an of, you can also punch but he may be able to reach you. A long time you can master almost all of them except talking and buisness, but the other u'r set to 100. Hope this helps rate me!

Hey yall this is oblivion12 and heres a helpful hint:

Are you bored? Beat the game? Are you a vampire and no one will talk to you?
Then explore the world!!!!!! It's easy to find daedric shrines, forts and caves just follow these instructions:

Get a horse
Pick a city
Pick a wilderness spot north, west, east, south
Go run into the wilderness!!!!!!

Go to chorrol and enter the fighters guild once in there go to a room with a round table and look around for a display case (make sure you are a member of the fighters guild)and open it (have a high security lvl because you will have to lock pick)take the ebony mace and there you have it the gaurds wont chase you either to make it more powerful equip a sigil stone to it and watch your enemies fly!
P.s. I did it and it is the best weapon I have right now

If you have stolen stuff and want it to be "un-stolen", join the Thieves Guild and sell yur stolen equipment to a fence then buy it back. After buying it back, it won't be stolen anymore.

In the bloodworks as you go down the sairs there should be a target with people shooting at it. You have to make sure the blue team gladiator is shooting at the target. Every time he shoots an arrow at the target go and pick it up after a couple of minutes or so you should have plenty of arrows.
NOTE: He only shoots iron arrows.

My character is mainly a Marksman so in the Arena I've found that there is an easy way to progress quickly. All need need to do is get a steel bow or better and lots of Arrows then in each fight run backwards away from your opponenet constantly charging and shooting arrows (does help if you have good speed). You should kill most lower level ones quickly just make sure you have plenty of arrows.

Also might want a healing spell or lots of potions cause some of the contestants can catch you up and lay a couple of strikes. Watch out for the twin sisters.

If you are affected by any of the Drain spells (drain Strength, Endurance, life etc) then you can simply pray at the alter in one of the chapels and all negative effects will be removed from your character. However if you have the Shivering Isles Expansion pack installed you will not be able to use the Chapel of Dibella in Anvil (I think the Body in the Alter may have broken it).

Ever lost your horse?
Just fast travel and your horse will ether be stabled outside the city or will be behind you.
And DONT attack your horse!
If you do you will be kicked out of every thing!
Not all horses are the same
The more expensive the faster!

In reply to the general charatcer hint...

If you want a really awsum fast lvlr then pick ARGONIAN (simply because his /her resists/water breathing)

Then pick these main skills:

Armouror
Acrobatics OR Athletics
Blade
Block
Light OR Heavey Armour
Restoration (Dont use Destruction because it is NOT a Passive skill)
And Alchemy (for the money/potion perks) <--- or any other one of your playing style choice

Birth sign with the above SHOULD be WORRIOR

And then just walk/jump/run around the world for a few hours cast HEAL and creating potions (sell all your usless potions)

After 2 hr 30 mins I was lvl 20-25

Hey guys... This one is especially for the newbies (soz if I offend) and also for the oblivion hardcores... (if you don't already know)... Here goes.

If you keep braking lockpicks then there are three easy steps to take

1) start the Thieves Guild Quest, where you meet on the water front, you can buy cheap lock picks from the guy for 5G I forgot his name tho he's in heavey armour and carries a torch... Hard to miss really :P

2) Start one of the daedric shrine quests... ( I believe it is Nocturna... You also have to be lvl 10 min to start) after completion you will get skeleton key that never breaks.

3) This is the most easiest of the three... And yes.. It works 99.9% of the time (not 100% as each lock normally starts in a different sequence), all you have to do is this... Test the lock and if it come back down fast then do it again and it shud work without breaking (every time) basically every single lock ingame needs to be (lifted) twice...

You just need some scrolls as long as they add up to one more than the item you want to clone just click on a set of scrolls for example say you have a daedric dagger but want two just get 2 of the same scroll and equipt them then drop your dagger without exiting the equipment screen and there you go two daggers will fall from the sky and onto the ground :3 this is also a very easy way to get 100 alchemy

If you drop a paintbrush you will notice that it will not drop fully to the ground this means that you can jump onto said paintbrush to get to higher places. Hint part 2. If you go to the gray mare lodge in chorrol there should be a person that tells you about his sons going to fight off some creatures:the creatures being stupid goblins anyway if you do his quest your reward will be the chillwrend(a sword with 10 frost damage and an effect of weakness to frost 15 percent.

Sneek:Go to the inn of ill omen find Rufieo's room face the corner and walk in to it rufieo sleeps most of the time and if he wakes up just wait until he go's back to sleep then continue

Destruction: Do Verminea's shrine but don't kill arkved buy a distentraigrate armor and repedatly cast it on him and eventualy you'll level up.Also works with Ilusion,Mystasysm and restoration execpt use a charm spell for illusion,a soul trap for mystasysm and a restore health or restore fatuige

Alteration: Cast a unlock spell at door or box or anything enterable

When playing through the fighters guild when you run into the blackwood company,always loot the bodies! Unless you're a low-level character,there wil always be enchanted armor and weapons. In anvil,go to the docks where theres a painting of the lighthouse. Directly in front of it,in the water,is a chest with jewelry(possibly enchanted) and some clutter.

Okay at the beginning of the game when you are in your cell approach the door so that the elf over the way starts to talk to you. Then quickly run to the back of your cell and enter sneak mode and just keep walking back and forth until the emperor and The Blades arrive. You should get your sneak skill up 5 or 6 levels this way which although it is not a huge amount it is helpful in the following area especially if you are planning to play a stealthy character.

Infinite money: post patch(I think anyway)

1. First, go to the divine elegance store in the market district of the
Imperial city.

2. Go up to the counter, turn arround, and preform the post patch duplicate
Items glitch on your MOST EXPENSIVE ITEM (this
Doesnt work on all items, such as quest items, so keep trying until it works)
You will get the item back.

3. Pick up all the items you cloned that are on the floor. It doesnt matter
If you become over-encumbered, you wont have to move.

4. Talk to the owner, select barter, and sell all the items you just cloned to
Her.

5. It is important you sell them one by one, or at least so that you arnt
Selling items that are worth alot together, because she only has about 1200
Gold at a time.

6. It can get annoying to scroll down to 1 every time, but keep doing it, this
Is much faster than any other money cheat in the game

7. If you have completed the paradise quest in the main storyline, or you are
About to, take mankar camerons robes, and use this as the item you will
Duplicate and sell. I STRONGLY SUGGESST THIS ITEM. Every time you sell it,
You will have to do it one by one, but it's worth 1200 each time, the most the
Store owner has.

8. You can go back to this store and do the glitch/cheat as many times as you
Want and at any time during the game, as long as the store is open for
Buisness and you havnt killed the store owner.

Ok, unfortunately you already need the house in Skingrad, as well as the servant's quarters and the servent herself. And you will also need to be a master alchemist (it's really not so difficult to achieve if you're a good theif).

Once that is done you can just keep going back to your servant for food. She will give you a shepard's pie. Do this many, many times, one straight after the other, and then use your alchemy equipment to produce many Cure Disease potions . These can also become very useful if you end up going against vampires, so be sure not to sell them all.

After you have as many as you can carry go to a shop and sell them all for the highest price you can. I go to Colovian Traders, seeing as it's just around the corner, but I do have a high mercentile skill.

You can do this as many times as you like. I've managed to get nearly all of the houses in the game, fully furnished, because of this, and I don't get to go on this game much. It's really easy.

Warning!!!!!!!!!!! If you feel like it and want to don't kill gunder at colovian tarders!Ok the reason why is, because when you buy a house in skingrad you need to buy upgrades 4 from him, and he is killable.I wanted to kill people and I killed alot of them and he was one of them.and so now I need 2 buy upgrades from him but sadly he is dead.:( And also Ealse the god hater or whatever her name is I also tried to kill her and found out that shes 1 of the assasins that killed de emperer. Hope this helped!:)

If you're at a relatively low level and need a good weapon: Here's my advice:

1) Change the difficulty setting to the lowest.
2) Close the (i believe Bruma) Oblivion Gate.
3) Take the Sigil Stone (part of the above process). It should have a "Damage Health" effect. If not, and the stones are randomly placed, find another way to get a "Damage Health" effect.
4) Acquire a dwarven longsword (not as hard as it sounds; you can get it after beating the "Gray Prince" in the arena or find it in loot)
5) Enchant the sword. Name it what you like.
6) Use the scroll duplication trick (hit "A" twice on a scroll you have multiples of, then "X" to drop an item you have less of than the scroll) to make tons of Grand Soul Gems (found in Mages' Guilds and loot). You can dupe a filled or unfilled one. Preferably filled.
7) Recharge your weapon as many times as you need! If you run out of Gems, just make more!!

This is a good way if you:
A) You don't have a good horse already.
B) The above AND you're stuck with that silly paint horse.
C) You've lost yours.
D) You don't have enough money for one.
E) You need a quick, temporary way to travel to achieve one of the above goals or another.

Go to an esteemed stables (i.e., Black Waterside is the best place to go; their horses are wicked quick), then open the gate wide.

Walk up to a horse and walk into it in the direction of the open gate (WITHOUT GETTING ON).

Push it out as far as you can; sometimes using sneak helps.

When it's just far enough that the horse doesn't go walking back or no one can see you(believe me, it sucks when a guard catches you), hop on and enjoy the ride. :]

Don't want to spend money on a house or etc? When you join the Dark Brotherhood (or just because), go into the Cheydinhall abandoned house and there's a crate or barrel in the basement where you can store your things without having them stolen. :)

Also, if you kill someone and become overburdened, you can store things in their body.

Wondering if that gross Orc woman in the Chestnut Handy Stables is ever brought to justice for eating those poor horses??
Well, she is!
Find the unicorn, (or if you have it already), and bring it into her stables when she's there and close the gate. Dismount the unicorn and watch it bring them to justice!
(*You can do this for hours XD)

NOTE: You can only clone items if you don't have the Shivering lsles pack installed to your Xbox360.

To clone items get your bow and arrows out and hoad the Right trigger in then press B, Once you in the items screen go to the arrows your have on and press A twice then just drop the item you want to clone and go out the items screen, The item you droped will be the same number of arrows you had.

It wont make any think go wrong with the game I've done it lots of times.

NOTE 2: not all items can be cloned and the game will slow down a bit till the items have all hit the floor and stoped moving.

When you are picking your birthsign and stuff and are picky about what you want to be. The easyiest thing to be is a mage because if you pick these as your major skills :

Alteration,
Destruction,
Illusion,
Mysticism,
Conjuration,
Restoration,
Alchemy
And whatever the other one is, I forget!

Anyway pick them and all you have to do to level up is keep casting spells non-stopand then sleep I've been playing oblivion since christmas and I'm nearly level 35 now so you do level pretty quick

In a couple of spots, you can raise your skills free of charge by simply watching NPCs practicing combat.

One is a small pavilion North of the Arena, where gladiators Branwen and Saliith practice hand-to-hand combat from 6 a.m. To 1 a.m. Get up close to the fighters for a minute or so. You'll soon get a message that you've picked up some tips and that your Han-to-Hand skill has risen by five points.

The other location is the plaza outside the Cloud Ruler Temple. Here are the Blades Pelagius and Fortis, the hours 5 a.m. To 8 p.m., and the skills gained Blade and Block (two points each).

Alright everyone is talking about the vampire get rich quick cheat and the Dorian cheat, but neither of those work if you have xbox live. This cheat, however, does. First, you have to become the arch mage of the mages guild. This might take awhile, but trust me, it's worth it in the end. Once you are the arch mage, you must complete the "order of the virtuous blood" quest. ( If you can't find this quest, just walk around the imperial city temple district until someone tells you to go to seridir's house) Once you have completed this quest, the order says that they will pay you for each portion of vampire dust you give them. DON'T SELL THEM YOUR VAMPIRE DUST YET!!!!!!!! You need it for the next part. When you become the arch mage, someone tells you about an enchanted chest in the arch mage's room. It multiplies whatever ingrediant that you put into it. So once a week, put a portion of your spare vampire dust in the chest, and you get 10 more. You make about 4000 gold per week! Good Luck!

Use the glitch to dupe items with scrolls or arrows (theyll be on here somewhere) and dupe 1500 of 2 matching alchemy ingredients. Mix them and dupe more if youre running out you should have lv 100 alchemy very soon and you can sell the potions.

Step one turn diffculty down so you can kill in one strick. Then say if you met someone that you bribed too much money too so you want your money back second step you have to have diffuculty down so guards don't chase you then wait till they are in place by them selves then knock them unconcious then keep hitting the picket pocket button keep doing till the screen of there stuff pops up then take what you want they don't do any thing then you got your stuff if you do it rite they woulnt attack you.

Alright Listen I didn't want 2 tell anyone my secret. I have xbox live and I updated my Oblivion game, but the updates are only on the hard drive not the game. I can do the dorian money Glitch if I wanted 2. All you got 2 do is get a memory card and don't go on xbox live with it. And if you do by accident, just delete everything on it, you need 2 have you're profile on it (Delete profile and items).Make sure the hard drive is out of the xbox360, otherwise the updates on the hard drive will activate even if you choose the memory card. If you do my trick you will be able 2 play Oblivion the way it was when it first came out, without the first xbox live update.

I also got my advice to put it in the hints section from cheating-is-good

Well to get some quick combat training you need to have to things:

1: You need to be able to survive a multiple guard attack.
2: You need to have finished the thieves guild questline and have the Grey Fox's mask in your inventory.

When you have the mask and are able to withstand a multiple guard attack, go to any town where there are guards, draw out your weapon or bow, walk into as dark alleyway where no one can see you, then put on the Grey Fox's mask and sneak attack a guard, and he will say something like: "Your the Grey Fox" and attack you you can attack back but because you are wearing the mask the Grey Fox's bounty will go up, then when no one is around take off the mask, and all your bounty will disappear but when you put the mask on again the bounty will be back.

Please note:

If you try this in the day time the beggars will try to kill guards and die, and other people will try to kill you like shop keepers which will basically ruin your game.

Also if you take the mask off in front of the guards some of the Grey Fox's bounty will transfer to you.

Hey, want to make potions without all the hassle and spending, heres how, all you need is:
1: the ingredients for the potions you shall make
2: 1 Bow, and 2 sets of arrows with at least 200 of each arrow
3: 5 minitues of you time

If you know the duplicate item cheat then you can do this fine but for those that don't here it is.
Hold RT with bow and arrows equiped, continue to hold RT and press B(Red) Click once one your equiped arrows and you will get a message saying You cannot change weapon while attacking (or there about) then double click on your other arrows. Now go to you ingredient and hit X(blue) to drop it, then pick up all the multiple ingredients, now repeat on your other ingredient. You should now have atleast 200 of each ingredient if you had 200 arrows. Repeat as nessecary untill you have as much as you want then just make lots of potions (or poisons :D) till your hearts content.

WARNING: SAVE BEFORE ATTEMPTING SOME INGREDIENTS SUCH AS NIRNROOTS WILL CAUSE YOUR GAME TO FREEZE, ATTEMPT WITH CAUTION.

Ingredients I have found to freeze game:
Nirnroot
Harrada Damage Health, Damage Magicka, Silence, Paralyze
Vampire Dust Silence, Resist Disease, Invisibility, Damage Magicka
Daedra Heart Restore Health, Lightning Shield, Damage Magicka, Silence
Daedra Silk Burden, Night-Eye, Chameleon, Damage Endurance
Daedra Venin Paralyze, Restore Fatigue, Damage Health, Reflect Damage
Daedroth Teeth Night-Eye, Frost Shield, Burden, Light

As most of you know, you have to hit something for your destruction to level up.
I've found two quick easy ways to get it up faster. 1. If you have access to the Arcane University then create a fire, frost, or shock spell that will be cast on yourself. Be sure to make it weak say 1 pt fire damage so you dint get hurt. Heal when nessacary.This is the fastest way to get it up just keep casting that 1 pt damage on self elemental spell and heal when you need to and your destruction skill will skyrocket!

2. Another good way is if you have a decent conjuration level and summon a creature and use that creature as a "training dummy" that works almost as well as the first I mentioned.

In the Imperial City, head to the Telos district. In the South-east section, look for "Dorian's House", and head inside. Dorian will ask you to leave. Bribe him then Kill him dead. Now, when you loot his corpse, click on his gold and just keep pressing A. The gold should just keep on coming, and it'll never drop below 8 or so, but the amount of gold will be proportional to your level (a higher level character will net more gold per grab). It takes awhile to actually make some money off this, but hey, it's free. Just make sure you get what you want before heading outside, because once you do, it's over. profit of regret

As you may or may not know, glass cannot be picked up until you are lvl 12 or higher (though you may see one in the arena you will not be able to take from the downed opponent). You will probably not see glass weapons held by enemies until you are about 16 or higher but there are ways of getting them sooner. The first way is how to get a glass claymore.

The glass claymore can be found soon after completing the Order of Vurtuous Blood quest. There is an orc in Seridur's House which can be found in the temple district of Imperial City. Once you become lvl 12 or higher go into the house and in the first room you come to (the room you are in when you first enter) you should see the orc walking around the house. Look at his back and you should see a glass claymore, if not then you are not quite high enough in lvl (lvl 12 for this claymore is unverified, I was lvl 13 when I did it but I assume you can as many have told me you can get glass at 12). If you can, sneak up on him to get a sneak attack hit, if not then turn the difficulty all the way to the lowest setting for a one power hit kill. When he is dead simply take it off his corpse. This SHOULDN'T effect your status in the order but you should save first just in case.

For the Glass Longsword join the dark brotherhood. To do this simply commit a murder and then sleep. You should be visited by a member who will ask you to kill someone as a test. Do so and you will be admitted into the brotherhood. Go to their hideout. Find Vicente Valteiri (spelling) and he should have a glass longsword. He will not die as you need him to do quests and if you try to pickpocket him you will be kicked out of the brotherhood and you will not get anything out of it. Try finding him when he is spleeping and attack him, thats right, try to kill him. He will draw a powerful and enchanted sword which is another glass longsword. If you hit him enough he will lose conciousness. Crouch and press A to "take". You will be given a message that say he is unconcious and nothing will happen. Keep pressing A and eventually you will go into the item taking menu that would appear if you pickpocket or loot. You will not be able to take the enchanted sword as it is currently equiped on him but there will also be a second sword a regular glass longsword which is yours for the taking(I have never tried it but if you can knock him out in one hit, you may be able to keep him from drawing the sword and getting both glass longswords instead of just the normal one). He will then attack you but since you didn't kill anyone, you will not be kicked out of the brotherhood. At this point, yield to his attack by pressing A while blocking. If he doesn't yield the first time then press A repeatedly until he finally stops but don't attack him or he may not yield at all. If done correctly, he should go into the chat screen and forget all about what just happened (for me he just said something about not completeing my contract yet) and there will be no pennalty for it.
