How to get items

Added:

I didn't know where I should put this, so I put it under cheats. Here's some cool popular items and how to OBTAIN them. Also listed is if they can be obtained in Normal or only Hardcore.

Night's Edge (Normal) - Crafted by Muramasa, Blade of Grass, Fiery Greatsword, and either Blood Butcherer or Light's Bane

This is the most powerful Normal-mode Sword (45 Damage), and I do believe the 3rd most powerful Normal-mode weapon, the others being Flower of Fire (47 damage) and Star Cannon (55 damage).

Lucky Horseshoe (Normal) - Only can be found on Floating Islands in the Skyware Chest (I'd recommend for finding them, at night go hunt for Fallen Stars. If an area tends to never have them, there is probably a Floating Island above you.)

Negates fall damage.

Water Walking Boots (Normal) - Can be found in Water Chests. I found a post on another site saying that a guy first named his world 'Water' and found them. I was sceptical about it, but after 10 or so worlds of hunting and not finding them, then naming the next world I created 'Water', I actually found some. I don't know if it was pure luck or not, but I couldn't disprove it. Try it, the worst that happens is you just have as much chance as any old world.

Let you walk on water. Landing on water will still comfort your falls.

Cutlass (Hard) - Pirates sometimes drop them. Pirate invasions will happen from time to time, and they are similar, although harder, than the goblin army.

VERY FAST and VERY POWERFUL. 57 Damage, rapid speed.

Souls (Hard) - (I swore I wouldn't add Materials!) Souls are found based on the BIOME you are in, NOT the creatures you kill. Although more powerful creatures tend to drop them more often, I've seen them drop from Toxic Sludge and Possessed Armor (which are found in every Biome once you enter Hard Mode). Wyverns, as far as I've found, always drop souls of flight. Killing the pink-blurry creatures of the Hallow often will drop souls of light. So on and so forth.

Materials in VERY powerful equipment. Things like wings and Neptune's Shell will require these. You usually need 20-25 of each soul required in a blueprint.

Blade of Grass (Normal) - Crafted from Stingers and Jungle Spores.

Ingredient in Night's Edge. 28 Damage.

Blood Butcherer (Normal) - Crafted from Crimtane Bars (found in worlds with The Crimson).

Ingredient in Night's Edge. 22 Damage.

Light's Bane (Normal) - Crafted from Demonite Bars (found in worlds with The Corrupt).

Ingredient in Night's Edge.

Fiery Greatsword (Normal) - Crafted from Hellstone.

Ingredient in Night's Edge. 37 Damage.

Muramasa (Normal) - Found in the chests in the Dungeon. You must first defeat Skeletron in order to not be killed by the Dungeon Guardians. After entering past the 1st level of platforms, you have exactly 21 seconds to get what you can before you will be killed by the Dungeon Guardian if you haven't defeated Skeletron.

Ingredient in Night's Edge. 18 Damage.

Hardmode Ore (Cobalt, Mythril, Orichalcum, Titanium, Adamantite) (Hard) - Upon entering Hard Mode, you will not find any of these ore immediately, like the world will tell you. You must first destroy Demon Altars. Each time you destroy one, your world will be blessed with some of a random type. You can only destroy Demon Altars with a Pwnhammer, which is dropped by the Wall of Flesh when you defeat him. Bringing a Pwnhammer and smacking Demon Altars in a Normal-difficulty world will just get you hurt. The world must be in Hardmode before these ore can enter it (unless you just put them in chests obviously).

Flying Carpet (Normal) - Only found in chests located in Pyramids (which are just places made of Sandstone Brick) located in the Desert. Some worlds have them, some worlds don't, just like the Living Wood Trees.

Lets you stand in mid-air and travel horizontally for 5 seconds after your jumps are over.

That's all I got for now. Leave a comment if there's a particular item you need help on, and I'll do my very best to find out how to obtain it.
