Does anyone know what the point of all of those upgrades in your shovel and watering can are for? Because, to me, they just seem the same as my old ones!

There is at least one difference in each shovel and watering can upgrade. With the Shovels
Depending on which upgrade you get, The Watering Can Upgrades will either allow the can to hold more water, allow more watering with one Pour, water the plant fully with one pour, or completely water the plant so it does not need watering anymore
Shovel upgrade consist of , Digging water, Digging water faster, Breaking stuff, Breaking Trees, The Dastardos handle so you can Dastardos, and the Metal dectector to find Chocolate coins
The shovel upgrades will also allow you to make fruit rotten by tapping them.
