I have accidentally deleted one of my cobblestones, and when I try to replace it with a new one it flashes red and won't let me place it. Please help!

OMG, whould someone help this poor man! i have the same problem...
all you got to do is..... 1: check if any thing in way 2: try to put it down 3: if don't put dpwn and flashing red sell a few then put them back down 4: if does not work try again
Try digging a hole, or water there with your shovel. That should clear anything out of the way.
