I'm in japan and I have to beat this man for the sword how do I beat him and get the sword

Here's what you gotta do: get to the top platform, and take out a shotgun or machine gun. Shoot him until he throws his sword magic stuff at you and then jump on a pole if the blast is low. If the blast is high, duck down w/ B. While you're doing this, keep pummeling him w/ your gun until he dies. Hope it helps.
