Sounds like you are asking how to cheat the game into giving you the things you want without working for them. Unfortunately as this is a Freemium Grinder it is designed not to allow you to do that.

You can get money by...
-Let all your Sims do the long things e.g. Planting Beans, do 24 Hour Fishathon and more.
Pros: You can get lots of XP and Simoleons.
Cons: You do have to wait as the time cheat is now unavailable.
-Going to work e.g. Your sim goes to the Town Hall as a Politician. Note: This is good because the rate of money can get higher because of promotion.
Pros: You get money and XP, and it rises as you get promoted.
Cons: Like the first tip, you STILL have to wait because the time cheat won't work.
Want to boost your thing that you are doing? Use the time cheat! Oh wait, It doesn't work now.
Since 2015 (I guess,) the time cheat couldn't be used since EA had been based on the ORIGINAL time, not the TIME FROM YOUR SETTINGS.
We advice either:
-Boost with lifestyle points or - Just boringly wait for it.
If you're doing a thing for a Quest I suggest speeding it up with Lifestyle Points.
