Can gays get married
I have a gay couple and they have been romantic interests for a long time now win now option to 'propose going steady' I always though sims were completely open to gays but why isn't it working?

The games are totally open to alternate relationships - the way that it should work is the same as with the opposite sex couples - you do nice actions to increase friendship then romantic ones to increase love. Once you have that high enough you get the option to move in / form family.

All relations work the same - you have them be nice to max out friendship then do romantic tasks to max out the romance level, then you get the move in / family tasks.
