How do you have a baby do you have to go to hospital?

When you have baby can you name it or does it already have a randomised name?

I've only played the PS3 version, so...
Socialize normally with another Sim until you become Friends/Best Friends. Start with the general romantic options, then the better romantic options appear for you to use. Once your friendship meter is maxed, and he/she is in a good mood, invite them over to your place. Have a double bed in your house and relax on it. Click on your guest and invite them to cuddle on bed. Then you can try for baby if they are in the mood, and don't have the maximum number of Sims in their household. In a bed, you hear a sound if you are successful in getting the female Sim pregnant.
After a few short days, she'll give birth at the hospital, with or without her partner there for support. You should see a message telling you though.
Or I think you can adopt by using your cellphone.

First name is random, last name depends on which household he/she belongs to.
If you want to change the baby's name, click on City Hall and the option is there.
