You do it by selecting your cell or house phone, and then it says "move", make sure you have enough money to do so. Also if you don't put your furniture in storage all of it will be sold with your current house.

Select on your Sim's phone , after you do that select "Move" , that well make you move , make sure you have a lot of money to buy a house you would like ( I go to "Move" and look for a house I like and then work up for it then I move) If you don't want ANY of your furniture then select the one that says something like "Sell objects" (Sorry don't remember the name of the option) if not then do the one that says something like :Keep objects" . Click you're sim,then click cell phone,then click move.
Or go onto a computer and click move! It's simple!=)

You have to click your sim, then click cell phone, then scroll down until you find the answer "move"
Then you click that, and you should know the rest!
