That does't work for the console version of The Sims 3. The only 2 things you can edit are your own home and the name of the business you own...if any.

Just to be clear, someone like me that only plays the sims to build, won't be able to build random houses and buildings as I want on console? I know I used to make a new sim, move it to the smallest lot and do the motherload cheat to make them rich and then buy a big lot and build but I don't remember if there was as much detail in the editing like in sims 3 pc.Guest answered:
If you can' t edit town and make a new family then how come there is a challenge for it on Xbox

You can edit two things your home and the name of the business you own. Hope this helped!

Wait, so if you kill off every member of your family and then make a new family, would you then be able to use divine intervention on your dead family, and bring them back to life so you can have two family’s? Hope this makes sense!!
