In the quest to take the oath of nocturnal in the twilight sepulcher

After saying yes I will take the oath, Karliah instead goes the other way and leaves the temple and wont allow me to continue with the quest. Is this a glitch that can be fixed

What I would do is revert to the last save before the quest. If not, try to follow Karliah.

I went back to several previous saves and got the same result. Karliah not only walks away but she just wanders across Tamriel occasionally fighting bears and spiders and such. I followed her into Riften and out up to near Windhelm across the lower part of the Pale and towards Solitude via Winterhold's southern border. She won't respond other than to say she'll have more to say after the oath
