Building a house
Is hearthfire a different version of elder scrolls that you buy separately? How do you buy land and build? I really need help I`m so confused. If you could somehow put a map in your answer to show where it's near if it's just a spot to build. Thank you so much anyone who answers. I owe you one =)

Hearthfire is a DLC so unless you buy the Legendary Edition of Skyrim, yes you buy it desperately. You can buy it on the Xbox Store and maybe still at GameStop. There are three pieces of land you can buy to build your house on and there are quests that have to be done before you can.
Falkreath: Complete the favors Rare Gifts and Kill the Bandit Leader. Buy from Steward Nenya
Hjaalmarch: Complete quest Laid to Rest. Buy from Steward Aslfur.
Dawnstar: Complete quest Waking Nightmare and favor Kill the Giant. Buy from Jarl Skald the Elder.
