Armor Rating

I would like to know what the best armor is that I can get at lvl 15.*Sister* I want to know what the best armor for a lvl 40 with 54 smithing. I have ebony but I`m getting killed by Elder Dragons.So what is the best armor for a lvl 40. Thanks

The best way to get a better armor rating is to smith and improve your smitjing skill and take it too at least 90 to get daedric armor. You also have to put perks in either light or heavy armor heavy being better but weighs more and that will raise your rating by 20% with every perk. If you have the dragonborn DLC then after you finish and beat miraak you have a choice to by using unspent dragon souls reallocate your skill perks from one tree to the next or you can make a skill at level 100 legendary which removes all perks and resets to level 15 and the use those perks on your relevant skills
