Question for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

I haven't bought the game yet but I have played oblivion the game before this one. I'm in a bet with my friend who can level up a brand new character from scratch right up to the level cap the fastest. Now I have no problem with repetitive work for a long period of time. All I need to know is; how the leveling system works, fastest way to increase each attribute, and also any decisions I can make at the start of the game that may help this leveling process.

Appreciate any answers.....

Well the leveling process works by using each skill legitimetally. Example being restoration spells used when you need them, alteration used on objects they can effect, destruction spells and any combat based skill must be used on real opponents. Speech goes up by selling stuff, enchanting and smithing go up by doing those actions in game.

Fastest way is to use them frequently. For smithing get a bunch or iron ingots, leather, and leather strips. Forge ONLY iron daggers they take the least materials and all items made in the forge increases the skill by the same amount.

Early on is to pick skills you will use alot (Ex: restoration, one-handed, heavy armor, block, and destruction). Also try not to do quests, just go around exploring, fighting, and making money. Pick perks that will help you.

Apparently one of the rewards you get for doing a Deadric quest has a glitch that lets you go from 1 to 80 pretty easily. Not confirmed though
