How do you close the Oblivion gate near the city that has been destroyed (The quest where you find the emporer's son Brother Martin)

To close an oblivion gate, enter it and look for a set of towers in the distance, you basically need to find your way to the tallest one, and head up to the top floor. On the top floor there is a room with a giant fire beam and ramps which head up, go up them and remove the stone floating in the beam. Everything explodes around you and you appear outside the now closed gate
