Question for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

On the thang with the 5 pieces of armor and all of em 20% chamillion invisibility thang, shield w/detect life, and the jewelery w/ somethin (cant remember), how do you enchant your armor with it? Also somebody said you need journeyman of mysticism and illusion for sumthin but I'm totally lost on how to do it. I got arch mage in guild and stuff, I don't know how to get chamillion option to show, or detect life or night eye for that matter. I got my heavy armor, I got my jewelery (blank yes I know I'm not an idiot) an I got 73 grand soul gems w/ grand level I got the money to do it, I'm not using quest weapons and armor or nuthin but nuthin will happen.

And why do I need journeyman of mysticism? I got jm(journeyman) of illusion and nuthin show up. As far as I can tell the jm of mysticism is for the soul trapping I guess.

Am I doing somethin wrong or am I just a complete idiot?

Also don't think I'm brand new to the game, I'm just a hard core warrior so I basicly never used magic or alchemy or block or hand to hand or light armor or anything else that isnt hardcore warrior affiliated. The onlythings I basicly boost, or even use, are blade, blunt, heavy armor, armoror and somethin else.. Can't remember. Again I'm not brand new I'm like lvl 39, beaten the main story line, completed all of the deadric shrines and closed almost all the oblivion gates before you beat the game.

Plz answer my original question very detailed otherwise I wont follow it right because apparently I have not a bit of common sense.. Thanks yall peece out

If your having trouble enchanting chameleon onto your armor you might wanna make sure that you can cast your chameleon spell(asuming you have one)
-why you need journeyman for mysticism, probly so you're able to cast a certian spell.
-block is somthing a warrior uses by the way...

Leprekorn answered:

To enchant equipment, you need to first of all know the spell you want, so for example you need to have chameleon in your spell list

Second, you need soul gems (which you obciously have plenty of)

Now you need to join the Mages-Guild and do all the recommendations to get into the Arcane-University

The Arcane-University is where you enchant items and make your own spells in a room with a really weird name like Chrisonium or something, there are altars against the walls, activate them

Also, the Sigil Stones you take from Oblivion gates contain random enchantments. If you equip one you can usually choose from two types of enchantment, something which affects you (like water breathing) and something which damages enemies (like fire damage)
