Question for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
On the Main Quest where Martin asks you to get a Great Welkynd Stone from Miscarcand. I've killed all of the goblins and undead in the first level of the ruin, but after I dropped down from the elevated path, I went to the NW exit, went up the stairs, pressed the button on the wall and stepped on the pressure plate after going up some more stairs. But the gate in front of me did not open, and many walkthroughs said it would. And now I'm trapped in the lower part of the first level of Miscarcand. I've gotten through this level before but I don't think this has happened. Can anyone help me?

When that happened to me I was really fast so I was already past it when it fell.
