Question for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

Hey I heard from my friend that theres annother good sword that you can get apart from the umbra... I keep on forgetting the name of it but all I know is it's 1 level lower than the umbra and it dose something like 25 fire dammage that never runs out... But my friend said I need to give the umbra to a schrein that wants 500 gold and the umbra sword... (hes west of where you get the umbra) and when you give him the sword he says something and gives you this goofy mask and says ill mabey need youre help again but hes ment to give me a 2nd quest according to my friend but I waited over 1 game week and still he didint talk to me... So I'm wondering if I'm ment to not give him the sword of if I have to do something else... Help??
