Question for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
Hey I'm stuck with the very last part of the very last theves guild quest!!
Well... The gray fox ask's you to steat a scroll from the palast tower after going through the sewers ect. But when I get to the door where the scrool is behind I can't get through...
Theres a blind monk right next to the door behind some bars but if you kill him (wondering if hes got the key for the door) it says the monks want to kill me... But then I run up the tower and then drop down the drain pipe thing where you need jacks boots so you want fall to youre death, but when I fall I follor the red arrow (marker) and land up by where the gray fox if waiting for me...
Soo... I just talk to him and he says something like: you don't have the scroll? Then we don't have anything to talk about!!
After that it marker wont go to where the scroll is and it'll just stay where the gray fox is...
Now heres my question:
How do I get the scroll (wheres the key for the room with the scroll?) and how do I get to the door again??

If you have a save at the monk behind the bars before you have killed him or talked to him go to it because they cannot know it's you. The monk behind the bars is in a round room, go to the side of the bars that he is on and to your right(if you are facing him) is a lever. From then on do not talk to any monk of attack them untill you have the scroll. Hope I'm right

You have to go around so you end up behind him, and there is a lever to your right, pull it, then go inside. When you get into the library, DO NOT GO UP THE STAIRS, sit in the "reading chair" and soon a monk will come down the stairs, and place an elder scroll in front of you. You then have to sneak up the stairs, past the monks, up a floor or two, and into a battlemages quarters.
If you did what I did, and wore the dark brotherhood clothes, make sure you remember to put on the springheel jak boots before you go down the grate in the battlemages fireplace, because it's a REALLY long fall
This quest is a HELL of a lot easier if you finish the Dark Brotherhood and have the Dark Cloak+Hood. Also, you should go around to all the thieves guild fences and buy all their lockpicks, because almost all the locks in this level are average, hard and very hard. Also, when you do the quest to get the Springheel Jak boots, the guy also has Infiltrators Gauntlets, which fortify your security by four (I think) and they help alot too

Go up a floor and look there is a door go thought the door go down the stairs and then sit on the chair and the monk gives you the scroll and I don't think you can get back reload a save before you got caugth by anyone
