Black soul gems have to be made at an altar when the light of the moon is shining down on it. When that occurs, put a grand soul gem into the altar and cast any dispel/mysticism magic on the altar. It doesn't matter which spell as long as it's a dispel magic that works on the target, not yourself. There's five different, legitimate places to find those altars, the best known is Dark Fissure which is in the Nibenay Basin northeast of Bravil and east of the eastern shore of the Red River and Lake Poppad. You can also find them at any necromancer lair in the game, too many to count.

When creating enchantments for any weapon, it all depends on your level of skill and your fighting style. When I created mine, since I have a lot of gold from my mercantile skill being so high and picking up every piece of armor and weaponry and repairing it like new, I wasn't limited in my enchantments. With my longsword, I simply used flame, ice, and lightning effects for a magnitude of 100 and a duration of ten full seconds. Easily kills almost everything in the game with one hit. Like I said, depending on the gem you use and the gold you have to carry it out, it can be done. With my armor, I chose to have a few items carry the feather enchantment because I do pick up as much stuff as I can carry and then I even cast a feather spell afterwards. Other than feather, I infused other armor with the chameleon, Fortify Attribute and even Water Breathing. It all comes down to the gems, gold, and your needs.

There's ten different statues that you can find for the Collector quest. This quest is the best quest for money offering a total payout, after all the statues are found, of 10,000 gold!! The locations are as follows:

Fanacas: Small vampire lair located in the mountains north of Cheydinhal.

Mackamentain: Necromancer lair at the southern end of the Nibenay Basin. Follow the Yellow Road southeast from the Red Ring Road and once it takes a straight bearing toward Silverfish River, head east to find it just northwest of a small lake.

Moranda: Dungeon of Imps and Trolls located just between Chorrol and Bruma on a hill by the Orange Road.

Ninendava: Undead lair including vampires found east-northeast of Sancre Tor and northwest of Moranda.

Vilverin: Side stories and large dungeon. Located on a small island in the northeast corner of Lake Rumare.

Wendelbek: Necromancer lair from the Mages Guild quest "Necromancer's Moon." Just northeast and over the Panther River from Welke just east of the second westernmost northern headwaters.

Wendir: Undead dungeon located in the woods south of Chorrol.

Wenyandawik: Undead dungeon located northwest of Bravil and southeast of the Inn of Ill Omen.

Once you give all ten statues to Umbacano and get your reward of 500 per statue, why not go in and relieve him of his precious treasures again for a later quest that isn't really documented. Pay off Umbacano's guard named Ummog gra-Marad by getting her disposition up to 75 and she'll just so happen to go get a drink at the Tiber Septim Hotel on the night in question. Oh darn.
