How do you use the Illuminate teleporter to teleport ground troops, been on this lvl for and hour now....cliff diving.

You select the temple or teleporter then hold the left trigger I think it is to bring up the special commands for that unit then select drop off point and choose where you want it but it only has a limited range you can choose to set it and it is a two way teleporter so enemies can come back through it if your not careful.
Select the teleporter and hold down the left trigger to bring up special menu options. Then press the "up d pad" to select a drop off point. Then you should see a marker that will show where you want to put it. You should press "x" to place the marker. Then select troops and MOVE THEM CLOSE TO THE TELEPORTER, and then click "x" on the teleporter.
