Well for one what difficluty are you playing on? That will affect your stratedgy. If on sith warrior or apprentice you can just jump and use lightning to destroy the ties or use grip by using LT+RT to grab 2 or 3 ties depending on your grip level and throw them into other ties. Or if you are on sith lord or sith master dificulty you should hide behind a big pillar and then use grip or multi-grip on the floating objects and throw them at ties.Then when pulling the destroyer down move the analogs in the direction until they turn green and then when it shows to pull down on both do it and keep them there and after that you need when the ties are coming you should:

1.On warrior or lower dif you should wait until you are at half health then stop pulling destroy them and repeat the destroyer process you will need to re-position it though before you can pull then if all goes well TO THE DEATH STAR!

2.On lord or higher dif you should let them take you down to 3/4 health (lose 1/4 health) and then repeat process as before don't worry on apprentice it took me 3 tries to figure out the best way to complete this.

The best way is to hide behind a pillar and use grip to throw the tie fighters. The part that frustrated me was the controls, they are not entirely accurate. You have to keep the Star Destroyer completely flat no matter what the controls tell you, then you just move it in the opposite direction it was moving to and it will tell you to pull it down.

I had 6 waves of tie fighters before I brought it down, hide behind the right pillar and keep force gripping the floating rock that comes past and use it to destroy the tie fighters, the freighter will come down eventually!!

Lightning will take them out faster, just make sure you are locked on..
