Question for Sonic Generations

Does anyone know an easy way to beat the final boss in this game? I'm having a bit of trouble catching up to him half the time, and keeping enough rings to stay alive the other half.

For the ring situation, when you see a line of rings, try to stay directly behind it as much as possible and boost. The rings will attract to you and you'll earn around 20-40ish rings. Mainly the best way to catch up to the boss is mainly boosting and dodging every attack thrown at you with the exception of Time Break which you cannot dodge.

Just dodge everything nereby but not the ring you need rings ok.

Just boost up and down don't let go of the boost button when you get close to the time eater stay in the middle stay in the core don't stop boostin move around the time tunnel or whatever ya call it to get lots of rings repeat this 3 times in a row do the final step you will beat the boss and will have lots o rings HAPPY FIGHTIN

Here I can help 1st. As some dudes said boost and get all rings and get to the core. 2nd. Do it again. 3rd. As I said do it again for the last time.
Some help is dodge his attacks by boosting to the side and well getting the rings that you see. Some funny easter egg is that in the 1st part there's parts from Green Hill, Chemical Plant and Skysanctuary (Classic), and then Speed Highway, City Escape and Seaside Hill (Dreamcast),and finnaly parts from Crisis City, Rooftop Run and Planet Wisp.
