When you beat a set of missions, your guy finally says something in the finishing movie. But when you actually finish the game, well....
!! SPOILER ALERT !!
IF YOU DONT WANNA KNOW HOW THE GAME ENDS THEN DONT READ ON
...The last movie has your guy on a boat where Alderman Hughes is holding a party. He thanks you for killing Mayor Winslow, and explains that because you killed the old mayor, Hughes' "cleaning up Saints Row" plan is hailed by the public, and he tells you that you are going to die (your guy is surrounded by henchmen).
You get a look at all the main characters, like Johnny sleeping with Aisha sitting next to him, King looking depressed, Donny closing his cars hood, Troy *SHOCK* looking at his detective badge, and Julius is watching the boat, then he sighs and walks away....KABOOM!!
Bye-bye Hughes, and bye-bye you.
Seriously your guy does actually die at the end, you can't keep playing like in GTA.

Hey actually your character doesn't die. You hear a splashing noise at the beginning of the credits after the explosion. Also at the very end you hear a deep breath like he is breathing. Also my friend told me you can see your guy driving with girl.
