I totally understand your confusion on this because it seems from the descriptions to be something that you DO - when in fact what it is is that is how they ended the first game.

So as you completed the last mission for Saints Row the boat blows up and you end up in a coma - and you wake up at the start of Saints Row 2. You follow that?

You end up being in a coma for five years and then wake up in the prison hospital, where you become mates with another gangstah and eventually you both escape and start life enew though a LOT has changed!
