I have the rock band 1 drum set. Am I able to buy the rock band 2 cymbals and use them with my rock band 1 drum set?

Unfortunatly, no. The second set has special ports in which the cymbals plug into. You will have to buy the second set if you wish to use the cymbals, though you do not have to in order to play. However, if you have I little cash to throw around, I suggest getting the drum rocker from ion. It cost quite a bit, but the experience is exilerating if you are talented in drumming. If not, then it is quite confusing.
